✧ SYNOPSIS ♡ Y/N and Jere have been friends for a while and go to the Pre-Party in Madrid together; whilst there, he wants her to teach him Spanish, so she agrees.

    PEOPLE WERE EVERYWHERE due to the rehearsals for the Pre-Party in Madrid. The contestants for 2023 were hanging around, it being their first time meeting one another. At least, that was the case for most of them. Y/N L/N was set to represent Spain since its her home country. She had moved around a lot during her teenage years, eventually just staying in Finland, but Madrid was her home for her whole childhood.

    Whilst living in Finland, she had made so many great friends, but her best friend was non other than Jere Pöyhönen. He would be representing Finland so the two were in this journey together, which was the best thing about it. Both of them knew that the other would understand any struggles and they'd be able to talk about things. It made this whole experience better.

    It was Y/N's turn to rehearse so she went onto the stage after her backup dancers did. Her best friend was watching her and it did make her a little nervous considering she had romantic feelings for him. She put in her in-ears before testing out the mic she'd been given.

    "Hola Madrid! Estoy muy emocionado de estar aquí (I am very excited to be here)." A breath was taken before she heard her song start. She quickly got into position, waiting for her cue. There were no fans there yet so it was just some of the other contestants around.

    It really felt like a family already and she couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for everyone. She had made friends with Teya & Salena from Austria and Joker Out from Slovenia, having spoken to all of them the most so far. She wanted to speak with everyone but there didn't seem to be enough time yet.

    Her performance started and she ran through in with medium energy, wanting to save it all for the actual show. She glanced in the direction Jere was in and saw that he was dancing along with the song. She had taught him parts of the choreography and he hadn't been able to stop doing it, even if the song wasn't playing.

    She fought hard to not laugh and was able to succeed. Meanwhile, Jere continued dancing, but focused on Y/N's performance. He could tell that she was saving some of her energy but she was still killing it. He was able to understand why he loved her so much right then. He enjoyed seeing her look so happy and at home.

    She hadn't been back to Madrid in a long time before all this so he couldn't imagine what she must have been feeling. He was so impressed with her ability to speak multiple languages fluently and thought about asking her to teach him a couple of things, but he felt as though he'd get too distracted with her beauty.

    The Finnish male didn't realize the song was over until he snapped out of his head, watching as the Spanish woman walked off the stage with this happiness glistening in her eyes. It made him ecstatic to see and he always wanted to see her that way.

    "Onnistuit loistavasti (you did great)," he complimented the L/N with a hint of love in his eyes, though he attempted to hide it.

    Y/N acknowledged his words, "Gracias."

    Jere loved when the girl spoke her native language, even though he didn't tell her all the time. "You need to teach me sometime. I love when you talk to me in Spanish."

    She laughed and crossed her arms over her chest. "Oh really? Alright, I'll have to do that. Why don't you come over to my hotel room tonight so I can teach you a thing or two?"

    Those words had a double meaning but doubted that she meant anything that was not innocent or friendly. "I will see you then. It looks like it's my turn to rehearse."

    "Good luck," Y/N L/N said before running off to go find the two Austrian girls, wanting to tell them about what had just happened.
