โ i don't want to be afraid anymore. โ
IF YOU told the jennifer williams of last year that she would be in her car driving through the rainy weather of los angles to drive to bill hader's home at one AM she would probably crack up dying in laughter. but there she was, driving up to the house that she had gotten so familiar with in the past months. jennifer could barely recognize the action she was taking, but she knew it was right. it felt right. but to say she wasn't terrified would be an utter lie.
"i am so stupid. this is stupid. this whole fucking thing is so stupid" jennifer repeated to herself as she did what she did best, bang her head against her steering wheel, making sure to not hit the horn this time around. and for some reason unknown to her, she grabbed her magenta umbrella from the passenger seat of her car and opened it, making sure to not get a single bit of rain on her. she stood in the rain, umbrella over her head, rolling stones t-shirt, mom jeans, and black converse standing perfectly still as she caught her own breath.
so what if this was stupid. so is love. and that's why it's amazing. when jennifer finally brought herself the courage to walk to the door and stand infront of it with her finger lightly pointed directly above of the door bell, she gently closes her eyes.
one breathe in.
one breathe out.
and she rang the doorbell.
it took about twenty seconds for the door to open with bill hader looking at the smaller girl with shock.
"uh, hi, jen. it's like um one AM what's u-"
and she silenced him the only way she could think of. with a kiss. and just when she was just about to back away, he kissed her back. and for once in a long ass time, jennifer smiled.
