"Guys we're in the pilot seat," I announced over my comm letting the guys know it was go time

The next two days passed fast. Too fast.

My emotions were still all over, plus Aj and John hadn't talked to me since I said what I said to them...a bunch of shit I didn't mean.

I looked over at Aj who was silently smoking. I watched as his mouth steadily pulled the blunt to his lips to take slow yet long drags.

I felt my breaths pick up and my thighs clench together tightly as I stared over at him on this high-rise bank building.

He then locked eyes with me before putting out the blunt and I looked away from his long gaze.

"Alright, boys, hurry...5 more minutes," I said lowly to the guys as they were down in the bank collecting all the money they could as I watched the pinpointed locations of different law enforcement officers around the area.

They aren't going to know what hit them.

"Aaron..." I called lowly making him turn in my direction as I began to play with the ring on my finger before he said "What?"

"Can I talk with you and John later?" I asked before he laughed sarcastically and said "We'll be busy."

I rolled my eyes at his stubbornness and didn't say anything else as he began looking at the Los Angeles skies searching for the news chopper that was bound to come at any time.

Sooner than later I began hearing the swirling of a chopper pushing air in the distance of our southwest before Aj said "Get down."

I nodded and moved out of sight of the helicopter before hearing it land and feet rush out from it before Aj began to bark orders.

"Get on the ground. Get on the ground, now! You take a seat next to your friends." He demanded before giving me the signal to emerge from where I sat.

I walked over seeing the news reporters on the ground and Aj with an unbothered expression as he looked between me and the news crew.

The guys then rushed from the top exit of the building, carrying bags of money and their guns.

"What a bunch of dummies..." Gordon teased seeing the news crew that Aj had laid out on the landing strip on the top of this building.

"Good boy!" Gordon taunted messily running his hand through one of the guys' hair as the rest of the guys loaded the chopper with the money.

I laughed lowly as Aj kept his gun pointed towards the door of the exit latch before he said "Nothing but glorified paparazzi!"

"Be careful." Jonah urged letting me in the backseat of the chopper, with me sitting between him and John.

Aj then got in as Gordon beamed "Get us out of here!" making him smile before taking off into the air.

I watched John as he began to change out of the jumpsuit along with the other guys before he caught my eye making me focus my eyes away.

I needed a way for them to forgive me. Fast. Before it was too late.

'Just say sorry' My mind and soul kept urging.

But that was the thing I never apologized to them. I never apologized to anyone, because I was now living unapologetically and selfishly.

I wanted to change, these past two days helped me realize, but how?

Just like I know I shouldn't let what Ghost did to me, cause others to feel my wrath but there are just some things a man does to you that'll change your perspective towards men.

And that was another problem. I escaped from Ghost and began seeing men for nothing but what they could give me sexually before Aaron and John.

John and Aaron were supposed to be my fuck buddies. But it all changed when they began to show me they cared and when they showed they cared I stopped showing I did.

I mean I used to buy them things they liked, take them out and they'd do the same for me. Then certain things caused me to come to conclusion with things...a problem I could never escape.

I looked down from the balcony of Jake's club listening to Aj play the piano swiftly.

Lily was about to get engaged and didn't even know it. Jake was the one for her, ever since Ghost had been manipulating me and her, she had been searching for that love and Jake was the one giving it to her.

I watched Jake stop by Aj for a slight few seconds to exchange a bit of words before I saw him smile, something I hadn't seen from him in days...it was something I missed from him and John.

My eyes then traveled over to Lily who was looking through some papers as Jake made his way over to her with a facial expression that was serious but soft.

Jake softly moved her hair from her face and leaned into the crook of her neck exchanging a few words until Jake sat down a jewelry box that left her smiling hardly.

Jake then slid the ring onto her finger and not even a few seconds passed before she had kissed him indicating the 'yes'.

It was beautiful.

I smiled softly, beginning to make my way down the steps with slow steps, each step causing my heels to clink against the porcelain floors before I made it over to the piano Aj sat at as he took a few drags of his blunt with a low smile across his lips.

His eyes gradually peered to me before he sighed and stopped playing the piano to ask "What's wrong, Jade?"

"Can I sit?" I queried lowly making him lift himself from the bench of the piano before pulling it out a bit so I could sit next to him.

I began to play with the necklace on my neck before turning slightly to gaze over at him.

"I-i..." I stopped clearing my throat and then continued in an almost bashful tone "I just wanted to say sorry...I know these past few years I've been so difficult to put up with and I have been such a bitch to both you and John. And I want to try to be better for you two and myself. I had spent all this time trying to push you both away simply because I care about both of you as much as you guys do for me. But I just trusted the wrong person and for years I have been taking it out on you two instead of him. I'm just so sorry." I ranted truthfully before looking away from Aj's confused expression.

Great. Well, that didn't help.

I began to rise from the bench and tried to rush away from the sheer embarrassment I had felt before he softly grabbed my hand.

"Jade. Sit." He said lowly before I sat back beside him looking to the floor below me.

"You're sorry and you care?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows before I sighed and said "Yes."

He then smiled and tilted my chin up with the tip of his finger so I could look him in the eyes before he rested his hand on the side of my cheek softly pulling me into a long-awaited kiss.

Slowly he pulled me into his arms with my tight fitted dress rising up my thighs as he rested his hands on my waist continuing to kiss my lips before he pulled back looking me in the eyes.

His blue eyes began to glitter in the light before he smiled harder and said "I've been waiting years to hear those words from your mouth."

"It's always been in my mind, I just never dared to say it," I replied

"But I really want to apologize to John too, where is he?"

"He said he was going out with Jonah and G, but he should be home now," Aaron replied beginning to softly caress my back

"Well, I'm going to go see about him," I replied making him nod before we both looked over as Jake and Lilly began to cheer making us laugh.

I stopped in John's driveway seeing his car was here, which was a good thing. I took a deep breath and got out of my car and began making my way to his door.

I twisted my key into the lock before opening the door slowly and closing it behind me as I began to softly yet nervously call his name.

"John..." I called lowly before looking out the windows that were all over his house hearing chatter and faint music playing from outside.

I made my way out of the door to his outback pool and saw him and two other women naked in the pool.

I felt tears in my eyes. I felt hurt.

"Jade!" John called out, clearly not expecting me as I began to wipe my eyes making my way out of his house leaving his key on the counter.

I got into my car and began to sob to myself. I thought I was doing the right thing...and this is what love does to me each time.

John then rushed out of the front door with a towel around his waist and damp skin, "Wait, Jade." he called making his way to my car before he said "Jade. I'm sorry."

"No, it's fine. I left your key on the counter, I came here to tell you I was sorry and cared...but I made a mistake."

"You care?" He asked in shock before I said "It doesn't matter, I'm sorry for showing up. Have fun."

I then put my car in gear and began to drive off with more tears spilling from my eyes.
