I took a sip of my Moscow Mule and looked over at him then began to rant "The last time I saw her like that is was when she came to talk to me about how Ghost consistently was cheating on her...and to see her like that because of something I had done...it hurt."

Gordon patted my arm and said, "You've got it bad, mate."

"Bro, you shouldn't feel bad because you don't know how many people Jade has been with!" Jonah reprimanded

"No, if I know anything, I know it's only been me and Aj that's she's dealing with." I corrected

"I don't know, but I wouldn't trust this sorry, Jade's unpredictable." Jonah advised making G speak up, "You're too hard on her, Jonah, regardless of anything the sorry is a step forward for her."

Jonah sighed and said, "She's just so different now..."

"If someone was consistently putting their hands on you, raping and putting you in the streets for years when they get upset you'd be different too," Gordon advised before patting my shoulder

I began to drink more of my alcohol and sighed "I'm going to go talk to her."

Hearing my doorbell ring my eyes softly open, I rubbed my eyes slightly and looked over at the time.

"3:45 am"

I groaned hearing the doorbell ring again before grabbing my gun and cautiously rushing down the steps with my Glock held to my side with my trigger finger laid to the upper frame of the gun.

Making it to the front door, I quickly opened it seeing it was Jade in nothing but the dress she wore to the club last night with mascara marks smeared under her eyes.

"Jade! What the hell?" I asked softly pulling her into the house from the chilly streets of this suburban neighborhood closing the door behind her.

"Where's Ghost?" I asked sitting the gun down on the nearby table

"He got mad and uh he put me out..." She said as I began to notice the whips and bruises on her arms and legs

"You sure that's all he did?" I asked grabbing her arm carefully causing her to wince and snatch her arm back

"Please...Don't." She begged making me sigh, this was so confusing, she seemed so happy with Ghost and here she was showing up at my house late at night with marks all over her body.

I walked a bit closer to her and she looked down to the floor making me softly grab her chin to look at the red handprint that was across her cheek.

"He do this to you?" I seethed now angry at the fact that he was putting his hands on her not only because she was a woman but she was small as well.

Jade was 5'6 with a very slender body, she used to be a bit curvier but it's like she stopped eating. I was more than sure that it was Ghost telling her not to eat because he'd talk to us about her appearance and get quiet if we began to talk about how beautiful she was.

Every time Ghost would say something fucked up to Jade in front of me and Aj it gave us more lead way to hit on her slyly.

Jade didn't say a word to me, just began to steadily look into my eyes as I continued to study the marks on her body.

This lucky bastard had a beautiful woman in his life and can't even treat her right, the things I'd show and do to her would be unbelievable.

His insecure ass wouldn't even let her out of his sight so why would he put her out?

She then slightly tilted her head to the side resting her hand on the nape of my neck pulling me into a kiss, I softly laid my hands on her waist wanting nothing but to let them wander around her body as I kissed her back.

The red dress she wore last night was still on her body-hugging her in all the right places and she had the faint smell of a Chanel perfume on her person along with the taste of sweet alcohol on her tongue.

She pulled back slowly as I began running my tongue swiftly yet slowly over my lips beginning to bite my lip admiring her features.

"I'm sorry." She said lowly making me quickly reply "No need to be, I've wanted to do that ever since I saw you for the first time."

"Can I pl-" She began making me shake my head, "You can stay as long as you need, you can come upstairs and shower, I'll get you some clothes beautiful."

She smiled and said, "Thank you."

I pulled up to Jade's house and sighed before getting out of the car, walking towards the front door, and ringing the doorbell.

A couple of seconds passed making me impatiently check my watch before Aj opened the door making me ask "How is she?"

Aj then let me in and said "She says she's fine but she's been trying not to cry."

"Shit!" I muttered lowly

"What were you doing last night, man?" He asked closing the door

"Taking some of Jonah's advice that G tried to warn me about." I sighed running my hand through my hair

"She really apologized?" I then asked making him shake his head indicating a 'yes'

"She told me she wanted to tell me and you that she was sorry for all of the things she had done to me and you, that she cared about both of us and wanted to try to do better." He informed

"I'm going to go try and talk to her," I said to Aj as he went into the kitchen

"Good luck." He replied with a low laugh as I began walking up the steps towards her bedroom seeing she was laying in bed cuddled in a hoodie of Aj's.

"Jade." I said softly making her look over at me with her eyes that were already watery, I sat beside her on the bed and said "Jade, I'm sorry."

"It was a matter of time before you moved on, don't be." She sniffled making me begin to move the little strands of hair from her eyes.

"What if I don't want to move on?" I questioned making her bite the inside of her cheek softly

A/N: Cliffhanger season😂😂😂 How did you guys like the chapter? How did you all feel about John's conversation with Gordon and Jonah? How about Gordon checking Jonah for being kind of mean about Jade's situation? How do you guys feel learning that Jonah was the one who got John to take those two women home?

What about John's flashback from a few years back? What about Jade kissing him while she was still with Ghost? What about John fantasizing about Jade? What about him noticing her bruises?
