1.4 | Deadpool & Promises
════ ★: *.☪ .* :☆ ════
It had been a rough full moon, Jasmine was sure that the others were still processing what she had told them about who she was while also dealing with the fact that the key Lydia had found was quite literally for a Deadpool that was filled with Supernatural creatures who had assassins threatening their lives. And to make matters so much worse for the entire pack, at the top of the list was the one and only, Jasmine Portman herself. It was obvious that the one responsible knew exactly what she was and the fact they wanted her captured seemed to leave Scott and Stiles completely on edge.
"So the Walcotts were the first. . . at least, the first we know about. Four murders - Sean, his brother, and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called the Mute; weapon of choice, a military tomahawk," Stiles explained as he focused on his father, Scott stood by the two while Jasmine sat curled up on the couch with Stiles' flannel wrapped around her like a blanket, her eyes half-lidded due to feeling sleepy. With the knowledge of Jasmine on the Deadpool, Scott and Stiles had practically demanded that she stay closest to them. Jordan had been beyond happy to see that Jasmine had made friends easily but knew she would as she had always been a social butterfly.
"But then, the Mute was killed by Peter Hale after he tried to blow up Derek with a claymore mine. Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's Lake House... and got decapitated outside his car," Stiles continued with the revision of the chaos over the past few days, "And then, last night, twenty-three-year-old Carrie Hudson..." Jasmine frowned deeply, her protective instincts were slightly haywire and bound to worsen as she got further into her pregnancy. "It's a Deadpool-- A hit-list of supernatural creatures," Scott told Sheriff Stilinski who was frowning deeply at this as Scott continued, "This is only part of it... The rest still has to be decoded."
"Who found this list?" Sheriff Stilinski asked them. "Lydia did," Jasmine answered as she stood up, if she sat any longer then she'd fall asleep. Stiles was quick to help her, a smile on his face as the girl leaned into his side for warmth; being a Siren meant she was colder and unfortunately, she felt it. "How?" Sheriff Stilinski asked with a sigh, he hadn't even been informed about Jasmine's involvement other than the mention of her knowing the secret. "She wrote it," Stiles answered once he knew that Jasmine was comfortable, it was strange for the human boy who had barely let the brunette out of his sight during the weekend; especially after Chris' comment about soulmates which had to wait while they dealt with this.
"...Actually, she transcribed it... without realising it..." Stiles corrected noticing the look on his father's face. "Banshee...?" Sheriff Stilinski sighed making Jasmine smile fondly, it was clear that he was trying to keep up with everything as best as he could. "Banshees have many skills and capabilities, Sheriff. I'm also informed enough to give you a better understanding of everything than these boys could," Jasmine offered sweetly, she knew she'd have to talk to Jordan before she gave birth to a supernatural baby. "I'd appreciate that," Sheriff Stilinski replied with a kind smile. "All right, what are these numbers next to the names?" Sheriff Stilinski asked as he spotted Jasmine's name and then Scott's name.
"We're getting to that. First, you need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key," Stiles responded to his father, his thumb resting on Jasmine's waist rubbing in a comforting motion while Scott took subtle glances towards the brunette. "Wait... You mean, like, a... like a keyword?" Sheriff Stilinski questioned in confusion. "It's actually a name--" Stiles was cut off by Scott, "--Allison." Jasmine lowered her eyes at the mention of her cousin, she and Allison hadn't gotten along as kids much like Karina and Chris had their issues but knowing she missed an opportunity to know her cousin was heartbreaking. "Her name broke a third of the list," Stiles added softly, he had glanced at his best friend whose eyes were filled with sorrow.
"And now we think there's two other cipher keys," Scott spoke up wishing to move the conversation along to both get the topic off of Allison and to get this over with so that Jasmine could go home and get some sleep in the safety of her home. "Which will give us the rest of the names. Okay... So, how do we get the cipher keys?" Sheriff Stilinski asked the two teen boys, smiling softly as Jasmine yawned and leaned more against his lanky son. "Same way we got the first code," Jasmine muttered tiredly, "Lydia's been at the Lake House all weekend trying to find the other two keywords." Sheriff Stilinski nodded at her words before motioning for her to sit on the couch, she sighed but followed his soft demand; Stiles immediately missed her touch.
"You didn't know about Demarco or Carrie, hmm?" Sheriff Stilinski asked receiving a shake of a head from Scott while Jasmine spoke up, "Many supernatural creatures have learnt how to mask themselves to blend into society easier." Stiles pointed at the brunette before Sheriff Stilinski continued, "And what about these other two names on the list-- Uh, Kayleen Bettcher and Elias Town? They're Werewolves, too?" Jasmine shook her head, "We wouldn't know." Scott nodded in agreement with the brunette, "But Deaton said that the Nemeton would draw supernatural creatures here." Jasmine was quick to agree with that, "Even I can feel the beacon of the Nemeton."
Before Sheriff Stilinski could ask, he focused on the list and sighed, "Here being Beacons Hills or Beacon County? The population of Beacon Hills is just under thirty-thousand--" Stiles was quick to add, "--And dropping--" Before Sheriff Stilinski continued with a disapproving look directed at his son, "But, if we're talking Beacon County, then you're looking at close to five hundred thousand. Look, how many Werewolves, Banshees, Kitsunes, and whatever the hell else is out there are we talking about? And what if the next cipher key uncovers not twelve names, but one hundred?" Jasmine shook her head, she slipped her arms into Stiles' flannel and pulled her knees to her chest, resting her head on her knee.
"We don't think there will be that many. There's a limit," Stiles assured his father before grabbing a pen and the list. "Because of the numbers. We think that, once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to one-hundred-fifty," Scott spoke however, this time he dropped onto the couch next to Jasmine and let her curl into his side for warmth. Jasmine was a very affectionate person which the pack had been quick to learn over the weekend with her hugs, cheek and forehead kisses, hand-holding and cuddles with everyone. However, Scott and Stiles adored it the most feeling a stronger sense of need to be close to her; something they would surely discuss once the Deadpool was over.
"One-hundred-and-fifty what?" Sheriff Stilinski asked though he wasn't sure he'd like the answer to the question based on the way Jasmine frowned, Scott pulled her closer and by the way, Stiles looked protectively at Jasmine. "Million," Scott answered him as he let Jasmine nervously fiddle with his fingers due to his free hand not around her resting on her knee. "One-hundred-and-fifty million dollars, Dad-- stolen from the Hale vault and is being used by someone to finance all of these murders," Stiles explained, the tone of exhaustion already deep in him knowing this was all only beginning for them. "Someone who wants every supernatural in Beacon Hills dead," Scott expressed with a deep frown.
"So, the coded list goes out, and someone, these professional assassins get that list..." Sheriff Stilinski was then interrupted by Stiles, "And a cipher key..." Before continuing, "And then they go after the names on the list-- they being killers with no mouths, tomahawks, thermo-cut wires that can take your head off..." Jasmine whimpered slightly as she rubbed her neck, the idea of that was slightly more terrifying than anything else. "Let me see... Carrie was also stabbed. What's this mark?" Stiles asked his father looking at the photo of the girls' body, Jasmine turned her head into Scott's shoulder as she'd rather not have that image haunting her dreams; And Scott was more than willing to pull her closer to him.
"We're not sure yet. We're still waiting on the M.E's report," Sheriff Stilinski replied to his son before sighing, running his hand down his face as he added, "There's one other thing I don't get... How did this new assassin know that Demarco was going to be at the Lake House." Scott laughed at that, "Everyone knows he delivers kegs to teenagers for a little extra cash." Jasmine hummed impressed by that. "Ah, so, whoever ordered the keg killed Demarco," Sheriff Stilinski suggested with a tired expression. "Yeah, it was someone at the party..." Stiles replied while Scott rubbed Jasmine's side as he spoke, "A student." Sheriff Stilinski looked back down at the Deadpool, spotting that Stiles had written the numbers next to the names.
"Why is Jasmine on top with thirty-three million next to her name?" Sheriff Stilinski asked, his brows furrowed in anger. During the weekend, Jasmine had pretty much solidified her place with the pack and their families along with reconnecting with Chris Argent himself. "Uh, I'm what is known as a Lute Siren... And my scales are worth a pretty penny... plus, my healing abilities and protective nature tend to make my kind... trophies," Jasmine explained with a deepened frown, "Not that there are many of us left. I know of a small community other than me." Sheriff Stilinski frowned upon hearing that, though he was stunned to meet yet another supernatural creature, he was saddened to hear that she was in danger.
"But, uh, it seems I'm in safe hands with Scott and Stiles looking out for me," Jasmine added in hopes to lighten the mood a bit. "Yes, I've noticed the two have been... clinging to you," Sheriff Stilinski said with a chuckle, he raised a brow at the two boys who were looking away like they were trying to play off acting normal. "It's nice. I just hope they don't get sick of me," Jasmine commented. "Never!" Scott exclaimed at the same time Stiles said, "No way!" Both Jasmine and Sheriff Stilinski started laughing at their quick responses. "Well, how 'bout you boys get her home so the pregnant teen can get some sleep?" Sheriff Stilinski suggested. "Sounds like a plan," Stiles spoke as he pulled Jasmine to her feet, holding her hand as they left the station.

"You do know that you didn't have to walk me to my door, right?" Jasmine spoke as she looked at the two boys trailing behind her. "We just want to make sure that you're completely safe," Stiles replied to her, a cautious expression on his face. "Okay, that's sweet. But you didn't have to walk me to my room either," Jasmine added with a teasing grin causing both boys to realise that they had indeed followed her all the way into her room. "Uh, well... I got nothing for that one," Stiles said as he rubbed the back of his neck, Jasmine laughed softly before sitting down on the edge of her bed with a slight frown. Her deflated mood was immediately recognised by both boys, each sat down on either side of her.
"Are you alright?" Scott asked her, he wanted to comfort her but he had never really been good at that. "Yeah, it's just..." Jasmine trailed off as she rested her hand against her stomach, "If the one responsible for the Deadpool knows about me... they probably know about the baby and..." A tear fell down her cheek, Stiles was quick to wipe it away as they realised her fear. "No matter what happens, Jasmine, we are here to protect you and that beautiful baby always," Stiles promised her softly, the words bought a new sense of comfort to the girl, she leaned into Stiles' side while grabbing Scott's hand to interlock their fingers. "Sirens are blessed with soulmates... I can see why you two were chosen," Jasmine whispered with her eyes closed.

Rosemary Speaks. . .
I'm not gonna overdramatize the soulmate part of the story, they're just gonna kind of accept it naturally and quickly. Hope you aren't too bothered by that.
Also, what term of endearment/pet name should Scott use for Jasmine? Same with Stiles? I like baby and Babe but so many complain and I don't wanna deal with it.
Though be warned, Jasmine will be called 'mama' by them sometimes in regards to her being a mom. . . Obviously.
