"I... Wait. How did you find out?" Barry asked Iris after he, Haylee and Iris walked into a private room away from Caitlin, Jesse and Cisco though Haylee knew they'd be listening in. "When I touched The Flash the other night, I felt a jolt of electricity. The only other time I have ever felt anything like that was when you were in a coma after the accident," Iris answered. Haylee let out a slow breath before running her fingers through her hair. "I can't believe I didn't figure it out sooner," Iris added after laughing dryly. "I can only imagine how angry you are," Barry spoke.

"I'm not angry, Barry. I'm just disappointed," Iris told him before glancing at Haylee, the Glitch shrugged at Iris to show that she didn't regret hiding it from her. "Does Eddie know?" Iris asked with her eyes focused on Haylee. "Yes, he does," She answered. "Is that why he got kidnapped?" Iris asked as she turned to Barry. "No, I don't know why Wells took Eddie. I..." Barry was cut off by Iris, "Dr Wells is The Man in Yellow?" Haylee nodded as she stepped closer to Barry. "Everything he's been doing, helping us... It was all a lie," Haylee told Iris.

"Wells killed my mom," Barry added sadly. "Is he gonna kill Eddie?" Iris asked Barry. "No, he's not. Eddie has a play in this too," Haylee assured Iris. "I'm gonna get Eddie back, I swear," Barry promised to Iris though Haylee could see the doubt in Iris' eyes. "Yeah, The Flash said the same thing," Iris replied. "That's enough, Iris," Haylee snapped, her eyes bright as she noticed the way Barry's already tense body tightened further with guilt and shame. "But--" Iris was cut off by Haylee scoffing, "We are doing everything we can to help Eddie, Iris. He isn't just your boyfriend, he's our friend too."

Iris looked down as Haylee took in a deep breath, Barry placed his arm around her waist and carefully rubbed her side with his thumb. "You need to consider that Barry and I are struggling with the fact that our idol, a father-figure to both of us had been lying to us from the beginning; that he did this to us for his own benefit. So instead of attacking us for trying our best, help us and let's work together," Haylee expressed to Iris, the woman relented and nodded before walking back into the Cortex where Jesse opened his arms for a hug in hopes to comfort the worried woman.

"Hayles?" Barry whispered, he turned to look at Haylee and frowned seeing the singe of water on electricity; tears flowed down her cheeks as she tried so hard to hold it in. "It's gonna be okay," Barry assured her as he pulled her into his arms, rubbing her back as her powers relaxed preventing the pain of water and electricity. "I don't know what to do, Barry. I... I feel so useless," Haylee whimpered out as she gripped onto the front of Barry's suit, her head pushed against his chest focusing on the abnormal beat of his heart. "You aren't useless, niether of us are. We'll find a way to stop Wells and find out what his intentions are," Barry assured her, his heart aching at the mental pain his beloved was clearly in.

✫*ﾟ･ﾟ｡.★.*｡･ﾟ✫*

Haylee collided with the wall, her heart pounding as a large shadow rested over her. How had she ended up in this situation? Well, after General Eilling had shown up completely normal yet in some strange trance, Haylee had a bad feeling that created static through her veins. They had come to learn that Eilling had been taken over by Grodd, a gorilla that Eilling and Wells had been working with in hopes to expand soldiers cognitive abilities but it had been revealed that Eilling was trying to create soldiers with psychic abilities but Wells had shut the project down. And now it had been revealed that the explosion had affect Grodd much like it had with the metahumans.

And so as Haylee pushed off the ground, punching the large gorilla sending it into the wall opposite allowing Jesse and Caitlin to run by them; she had to remind herself to punch Eilling in the face for the hell of it. "Grodd lives," Grodd's voice echoed through Haylee's head but she fought back against it, the dark sewer began to brighten with Haylee as electricity crackle over her before she opened her eyes and sent a large ball of energy straight at the gorilla sending him down and finally knocking him out. "Haylee!" Jesse called as she dropped to the ground, the water singed on her body but her unconscious state left her painless.

Jesse's heart pumped wildly in his chest as he dropped next to his sister, Barry rushed in and shook his head at Caitlin before noticing Haylee. He rushed over to her and instantly grabbed her, rushing her back to the lab before grabbing Jesse and Cailtin too. Barry paced as Cisco and Caitlin did the test necessary for Haylee's unconscious state. "I don't understand this... everything is normal?" Caitlin spoke as Barry and Iris walked over, Joe was still missing due to Grodd. "What do you mean?" Barry asked before sighing, "It's just exhaustion, right?" Cisco shook his head at Barry. "No, it's almost like she did it to herself," Cisco explained while Jesse furrowed his brows.

"Mentality... telepath," Jesse mumbled before rushing over to the screens that showed Eilling's brain scan. "She didn't just blast Grodd with energy... she overwhelmed his mind," Jesse told the others as he matched up the scans. "She's limited his telepathic control," Caitlin spoke with an impressed smile. "And using her own enhanced electrons to manipulate his mind," Cisco added with a wide grin, he was beyond proud of her. "Meaning what?" Iris asked as Grodd entered the lab with Joe by his side. "Meaning I'm controlling the beast," Haylee's voice echoed from the large gorilla, Joe smiled proudly while Barry sighed in relief now knowing that Joe and Haylee were okay.

"Where exactly are we gonna put the monkey?" Joe asked the others, Jesse smiled widely. "She's gonna let him go," Jesse spoke causing them all to look at him like he was insane. "What?" Caitlin spoke while Barry stayed silent. "We need to show our own form of kindness. It's effective with gorilla's," Haylee's voice echoed before Jesse picked up a needle and approached the large gorilla. "Let's hope the intelligent monkey doesn't find this," Jesse spoke as he injected a small tracker into the gorillas neck. "Alright, he's all good to go," Jesse told Haylee. The group watched as Grodd walked out of the lab, Haylee focused her power and lead the gorilla into the sewers where he felt safest.

Haylee leaned against the small wall upon the roof of her former workplace, she had quit her job at Central City Picture News. "Iris is still upset with both of us," Barry's voice pulled Haylee from her thoughts, his arms wrapped delicately around Haylee's waist. She leaned back into him and let out a content sigh, her head resting by his shoulder as she looked up at the man she loved with her whole heart and soul. "I guess she deserves to feel upset but I didn't like how she blamed us for things going wrong... we can't control everything," Haylee expressed with a sigh, she looked back out to the view while Barry admired her. "We don't know what will happen next..." Barry spoke as he looked down at the ring on her left hand.

"But no matter what happens... I promise you will become my wife," Barry whispered in her ear, his warm breath sent a shiver down her spine before she turned her head. "I look forward to that day," Haylee whispered back before he kissed her, their lips moved in sync. Barry smiled into the kiss before spinning Haylee around, the woman let out a giggle as Barry pulled her back into him. The two danced together on the roof, laughter and love surrounding them in their own little bubble. Their last piece of joy before the war, neither knew what would happen after tonight but they knew they'd fight side by side through it all. Barry would make her his wife, but when that would happen; neither knew.

I know I haven't updated in a while but I just wanted to let you all know; the final two chapters will be released before the end of this year.

THE FINAL TWO CHAPTERS!!!

I'm in the process of writing them and let's just say... they have me feeling emotional for a number of reasons... They will take some time as they will be very long chapters with a lot happening in them.
