058 | The Truth Always Reveals

"This isn't possible!" Caitlin told the others with an upset expression, Haylee held Barry's hand as they all looked at the evidence that proved that the Harrison Wells they knew isn't the real version. "Caitlin, I ran the DNA test twice. It's a perfect match," Cisco told her. "This body is the real Harrison Wells," Joe spoke as he pointed at the decomposed body on the table in the middle of Barry's lab. "If this is Dr Wells, then who have we been working for this whole time?" Caitlin asked as Barry let go of Haylee's hand and walked toward Caitlin and Cisco.

"Eobard..." Haylee muttered, she decided to keep the last name to herself for now until she knew for certain the memories were accurate and not altered by her coma. "What?" Caitlin asked as they all looked at Haylee, she looked up with glowing blue eyes. "I remember... the day that Barry travelled back in time," Haylee told them with a small frown gaining Cisco's attention. "You remember being--" Cisco was cut off by Haylee, "--Pummeled in the chest saving you by Reverse-Flash who revealed his name to be Eobard? Yeah, I remember that."

"Dr McGee said that after the accident, Wells became a completely different person. It's because he is a different person," Barry stated as he watched Haylee, his mind grateful that he did time travel despite the risks and reveals that happened due to it. "We need to be very precise about how we handle this," Jesse warned everyone, they all nodded in agreement with him. "It won't be easy but you gotta be natural, excuses need to be well thought out as any sign of distance will alert him," Haylee added, everyone agreeing with her.

Haylee knocked lightly on Barry's door, he looked up at Haylee with a small smile. "Hey," Haylee breathed out softly before walking up to Barry and standing between his legs. Barry's arms wrapped around Haylee's waist and he rested his head against her stomach, Haylee bought her hands up to run her fingers through his hair. "This is crazy..." Barry muttered making Haylee laugh in response. "It is very crazy but... it's our lives," Haylee told him before he pulled back to look up at her. "I'm scared that I'm dreaming and I'll wake up and you'll be--" Barry was cut off by Haylee cupping his cheeks and kissing him.

Barry pulled Haylee closer as their lips moved delicately against each other, her heart raced with euphoria as she melted into his kiss. The two pulled away reluctantly to take in air, foreheads resting against each other. "I'm not going anywhere, Barry Allen. Like I've told you in the past, the only way you'll get rid of me is if you say the words yourself," Haylee told him softly before pecking his lips. "I'd never tell you to leave, Haylee Brager. You are my world," Barry told Haylee before kissing her again, every raw emotion was pushed into the kiss before she straddled his lap and deepened the kiss.

Barry pulled away from Haylee and grinned, he thought back to the advice he had gotten from everyone while Haylee rested her head in the crook of Barry's neck. Barry wanted nothing more in this world than to marry the woman in his arms, besides wanting to clear his father's name. He was nervous, there was no lie about that but he knew in the middle of this chaos they lived as the city's heroes, they didn't get a lot of free time to just live. "Haylee," Barry whispered pulling the brunette's attention to him.

"Yes, my love," Haylee asked, her soft smooth tone sent a welcoming melody through his mind, his grip on her waist tightened and she grinned at the reaction she set off. Before anyone else could speak, Barry stood up with Haylee and held on to her as he sped them through the city and toward the CCPN roof where their spot was. Haylee let out a breath as they stopped, she looked up at Barry with a small smile. "A heads up would've been nice," Haylee teased before looking toward the sunset, her face lit up at the beautiful view.

"I feel like this spot is important to us," Barry said as he walked up behind Haylee, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back against him before kissing the top of her head. Haylee melted into his hold, she had to admit that after being comatose for so long, she missed Barry the most especially with the constant memories flashing through her mind from their childhood. "It is important to us. This spot definitely played a part in our development," Haylee replied as the couple watched the sunset.

"I wanted to tell you everything from the beginning but Joe made me promise that I wouldn't tell you or Iris about me," Barry expressed with a sigh. "But then I started the blog which resulted in me being taken by..." Haylee trailed off thinking about Tony who had died fighting against Farook. "Then you worked it all out on your own," Barry continued as she looked up at him with innocent eyes. "I just know you better than you thought," Haylee teased before winking at him, the two laughed softly together.

"But then you revealed your powers, your past and eventually forgave me," Barry added as he rested his head on her shoulder, lightly kissing her jaw. "And we started working together until I realised... I was in love with Barry Allen," Haylee told him as she turned to look him in the eyes, her gaze so full of love and adoration for the man holding her. "But I knew I had been in love with you since we were kids. You are and always will be my past, future and present," Barry told her before they kissed softly, the delicate touch sent shivers through them.

"Oh, God... We're the cheesy romantics," Haylee commented as she looked toward the pastel sky, Barry laughed at her comment before letting go of her and stepping back. "With you, that's fine by me," Barry teased back, Haylee rolled her eyes with a laugh. "Haylee..." Barry spoke softer than before prompting Haylee to turn around and look at him. Haylee's eyes widened as her heart skipped a beat, her eyes began to water as she looked at Barry who was down on one knee with an open velvet box revealing a beautiful ring.

"Haylee Noelle Brager... ever since we were kids, I saw this spark in you that helped my embers grow into a flame. You've been by my side every day, reassuring me that life was worth every moment of sadness and pain," Barry began with an anxious smile. "I can't see my life without you in it, you are everything and more to me. You don't just make me whole but you help me understand who I am and what I'm capable of," Barry continued as Haylee cupped her hands over her mouth, she had a smile with shining eyes.

"I know that life is short, that anything can happen to alter the paths so before tomorrow comes, I need to know for certain that this between us is real. I want you by my side through the good and bad," Barry breathed out before chuckling quietly. "And no matter how awkward this is, I want you to know that I love you. So, Haylee Brager, will you--" Before Barry could ask the question that would change everything, Haylee nodded, "Yes! Of course, I will marry you!" Haylee let her tears fall as Barry pulled her into his arms and the two kissed each other.

Haylee and Barry walked into the Cortex at Star Labs where Jesse and Caitlin stood by Cisco who was working on the main console's computer. "What are you doing?" Caitlin asked Cisco while Haylee and Barry watched the blueprints flicker by. "After the accelerator exploded, I built a 3-D model of S.T.A.R Labs so that I could pinpoint exactly what caused the malfunction," Cisco answered as Barry pulled Haylee to stand between his legs as he leaned on the desk. "And you never ran this test?" Barry asked Cisco with raised brows.

"Of course I did. I just never had any reason to look at any areas outside of the pipeline or the Cortex," Cisco answered Barry with Haylee nodding in understanding. "It's a big building. Lots of places for Wells to hide something," Jesse spoke up as he crossed his arms. The screen began beeping pulling everyone's attention to focus on the hidden room. "What is that?" Barry asked as he stood up. "That shouldn't be there," Cisco answered as he pointed at it. Haylee and Cisco nodded at each other before he grabbed the right tool to help them.

"I'm picking up more activity around here," Cisco said as he scanned the walls, Haylee walked by his side with a racing heart. "Tachyons," Cisco told them as the scanner's beeping intensified. Barry's hand pressed against the wall opening a door causing the group to look in with wide eyes, the room lit up as they walked in. "Whoa..." Jesse muttered as Haylee walked beside Barry to see something that made them shiver. "Oh, my God," Caitlin muttered as Barry and Haylee walked toward the Reverse-Flash suit, Haylee glaring at the suit.

Haylee and Barry continued walking through the room, Caitlin and Cisco were by the suit as a console appeared in front of the couple. "Guys," Barry said gaining Caitlin and Cisco's attention, the two turned their heads and approached the couple. On a holographic screen, a newspaper article set in 2024 revealed that Flash was missing in crisis along with something else that unsettled Barry and the others to the core; The Glitch's identity was revealed as Haylee Allen due to her death in a crisis.
