Silence. That's what followed those words as Haylee slept soundly with her head resting on Barry's chest, the speedster was staring up at the ceiling as the words echoed through his mind on constant repeat in her soothing voice. A smile slowly appeared on his face, the corners twitching into a wide grin before he placed a kiss on Haylee's head letting sleep take over him as butterflies fluttered within his stomach as he felt complete.

By morning, Haylee woke up with a headache and an uncomfortable feeling within her stomach to which she was grateful for knowing she wouldn't be throwing up anytime soon. She snuggled into Barry's chest with a quiet yawn before letting her mind run through the memories from the night before. She laughed softly to herself as she remembered piece by piece, including the knowledge that she had indeed recorded pretty much every performance that happened.

"Good morning," Barry muttered out, his voice was deep and hoarse causing a shiver down Haylee's spine at the sound of his morning voice. "Morning Barry," Haylee replied before moving to get out of bed, but Barry pulled her back against his chest. "Let's just stay here a little longer," Barry whispered as he closed his eyes letting Haylee relax in his arms. "You know we can't just stay here forever," Haylee told him with a soft smile.

They both lay there in a comfortable silence until all of Barry's doubt-filled thoughts began tormenting him. Did she mean what she said? Was she just drunk? Or was he just hearing things? Barry's thoughts were running faster than he could and it wasn't long till Haylee noticed Barry's change in demeanour. She lifted her head to look at him with furrowed brows, "Are you alright, Barr?" Barry looked at her and let out a slow breath.

"What do you, uh, remember from last night?" Barry asked her with a worried glint in his eyes while Hayle focused on what he could be talking about. Haylee smirked to herself before resting on her elbow to look down at Barry, "I remember karaoke. I remember Caitlin and me going into the bathroom where she rambled on about how awesome our friendship was to which I agreed happily. Uh, I remember Jesse being hit on by my colleague Linda Park. And uh, I think... You drove us all home. Why?"

Barry's tense demeanour deflated as he took that in, he leaned back on his arm looking at the ceiling as Haylee watched him carefully. "Barry..." Haylee whispered after some silence. "Uh, yeah..." Barry whispered back with his focus on the ceiling. Haylee rolled her eyes before moving from her spot to straddle Barry's waist, the speedster's eyes widened as his hands moved to her waist due to instincts. Haylee leaned down by Barry's ear, "Oh and I remember something else." Barry's body shivered in reaction to her warm breath against his ear.

"A-And, uh, w-what was it?" Barry stuttered out as he steadied his breath. "I meant what I said, Barr," Haylee whispered to him before carefully placing a kiss just below his ear. "Say it again..." Barry whimpered out completely entranced by Haylee. "I love you," Haylee breathed out by his ear, the speedster flipped her over so he was hovering above her before he slammed his lips against her own in a fiery passion that took the breath from her lungs.

Barry pulled away slowly resting his head against her own, "Haylee?" She took in deep breaths to fill her lungs with a smile on her face as she looked up at the speedster. "Yeah?" Haylee breathed out breathlessly. "Wanna be my girlfriend?" Barry asked before he could overthink it. "Yeah, I'd love to..." Haylee smiled widely before the boyfriend and girlfriend kissed again completely blocking out the world, leaving just the two of them.

Haylee and Barry sat in the Cortex playing rock, paper, scissors for fun while Cisco worked at his desk and Harrison watched the couple with a small smile on his face. Haylee looked up seeing Caitlin walking in with sunglasses on her face and a permanent scowl on her face that made Haylee laugh against Barry's shoulder. "Hi!" Cisco exclaimed with a smirk on his face. "So loud," Caitlin whimpered out as she looked to Haylee in envy for her lack of a hangover considering she drank more than Caitlin did.

"I just wanted to make sure you're okay," Barry told her as he and Haylee walked up to her, both adorning smiles on their faces. "Let's just say I envy your inability to get drunk. I don't remember much from last night," Caitlin told them with a groan. "Yeah, that's probably for the best," Barry stated with a smile. "Summer lovin'..." Barry sang out teasingly making her groan again while Haylee laughed. "Oh, God. That I do remember," Caitlin told them, both Haylee and Barry laughed again as Barry grabbed Haylee's hand.

Haylee noticed the frown on Cisco's face along with the stern look on Harrison's that instantly gained everyone else's attention. "What's going on?" Haylee asked. "Cisco... Has something he needs to tell you," Dr Wells spoke up before raising a brow at Cisco whose frown deepened. "Hartley's gone," Cisco told them. "He escaped from the pipeline? How is that even possible?" Barry asked while Haylee looked down. "I let him out," Cisco told them before they all fell into silence processing what they had been told.

"Are you mad? I can't tell with those glasses on," Cisco said to Caitlin who was looking right at him with what Haylee assumed to be an infamous Caitlin glare. "I'd like to yell and wave my arms, but I'm afraid I'd throw up," Caitlin told him with a scowl on her face. "He isn't the only one to blame. I knew about his plans with Hartley," Haylee replied not caring about the unimpressed expression on Harrison's face. "Why? What were you thinking? You know how dangerous he is," Barry spoke next while Haylee rested a hand on the back of Cisco's back.

"Hartley said he knew what happened to Ronnie," Cisco told her as Haylee crossed her arms standing beside Cisco, she was ready to stand by his side through this knowing that Caitlin and Barry would understand eventually. "I told you to let it go. I didn't want you looking into that for me," Caitlin told him. "I wasn't doing it for you," Cisco told her before sighing, "I sealed Ronnie into the accelerator before it blew. He told me to wait two minutes, and I waited, but he didn't come back. And I can stop thinking, 10, 20 seconds and..."

Haylee lightly squeezed Cisco's shoulder as he took in a deep breath, "Ronnie wouldn't be like he is right now. I've wanted to tell you so many times. I'm so sorry." Haylee looked down as Cisco and Caitlin looked at each other. "So you carried that around this whole time?" Caitlin asked and Cisco nodded. "Do you know what Ronnie would say if he was here? He would say that you did the right thing. It wasn't your fault," Caitlin assured him with a smile. "What happened that night wasn't anybody's fault," Caitlin added.

Haylee bit the inside of her cheek as she glanced at Harrison, her breathing steadied before she looked back at the others. "I got something to do. Call me if you want the extra help," Haylee told them abruptly before walking up to Barry and swiftly kissing him. She sped out of the room before anyone could say anything and the others were left wondering what that was for. "Is she okay?" Dr Wells asked Barry who shrugged. "She was fine earlier. I'm sure she's just gone to find Jesse," Barry told them with a reassuring smile.

"I need to access everything and anything you can find about Harrison Wells from birth to today, can you do that?" Haylee asked Lavera as she sat in her lab across from the humanoid AI who instantly nodded in response. "Are you certain that you wish to do this, Haylee? You've looked up to Dr Harrison Wells for years," Lavera told her. "That's just it, I've looked up to this man for a long time and yet... something is off about him and I can't let my family get hurt," Haylee replied to the AI who instantly closed her eyes searching for everything.

Haylee looked to her screen as the information scattered across the screens, a sigh leaving her lips at the lack of information about Harrison Wells and his life. "I believe that is all I can find even with Felicity's hacking schematics," Lavera told Haylee with a small smile. "That's alright. Thanks, Lavera," Haylee smiled at the AI before transferring all the data onto her phone in a secure file. "I've gotta go," Haylee rushed out of the lab.

Haylee made her way through the house grabbing her bag along the way, her intention was to head to the Central City Police Department in search of Joe. If anyone would help her in this case, it would be the man who considered each of them as his own. Haylee bumped into Jesse as she walked down the front path, "Hey Jess." He smiled up at her from his phone. "Hey Lee, you heading out?" Jesse asked with a raised brow. "Uh, yeah. I'll be out for a while," Haylee told him before smirking.

"I hear you got yourself a number?" Haylee teased Jesse who shrugged. "We, uh, we're going on a date actually," Jesse told Haylee who smiled widely. "That's so good, Jesse. You deserve to be happy too," Haylee hugged her brother. "Barry and I are officially together now," Haylee added which made Jesse hug her tighter. "Looks like we'll both be getting a happy ever after situation," Jesse expressed with a happy smile. He knew moving on from Iris would take time but these were the first steps for that.

Haylee was about to respond when the two were pulled apart by an invisible force which sent Haylee flying into the side of her jeep while Jesse landed on the house patio completely unconscious. "HAYLEE BRAGER!" A voice boomed from the street gaining the meta's attention, lifting her body from the ground with a groan she looked up to see a woman standing a few feet away from her. "No..." Haylee breathed out with wide eyes. "Do you remember me?" The woman seethed as she took two steps forward.

"You killed my daughter then you moved on like it was nothing! That bastard got his revenge on you by taking everything from me!" The woman snapped as she hovered off the ground, rocks and pebbles from the ground began floating off of the ground with her. "Ashley's death was a mistake!" Haylee told the woman before glancing at her brother, blood dripped from his head causing panic to rise in her chest.

"You may have killed Victor Henrikson but he had loyal followers who were as determined as you for revenge and now... I had to bury my husband... I had to bury my seven-year-old boy!" The woman screamed out sending a car towards Haylee, the girl sped out of the way before rolling across the ground as her head spun from the impact hit against her jeep. "I didn't know..." Haylee told her with tears welling in her eyes, she didn't care about the consequences then.

"You will know... I will ensure it," The woman continued before using her telekinesis to lift Haylee from the ground, the Glitch was so grief-struck that she made no move to protect herself as the woman threw her to the ground. "I'm sorry, Eliza..." Haylee whimpered before pushing off the ground. "Don't become this monster, Eliza. They wouldn't want this for you," Haylee continued hoping to talk the broken women down. "It's too late for that!" Eliza seethed before continuously throwing loose items at Haylee, the girl using electricity to destroy them.

Haylee pushed off the ground with her energy and headed straight into Eliza, the two gripped onto each other before throwing punches and kicks wherever they could within the air. Jesse slowly woke up, groaning as he pushed off of the ground, he looked to the fight causing his eyes to widen as clouds formed within the sky, lightning caressing the clouds as thunder boomed. Jesse pulled the earpiece of his pocket and put it into his ear, "Cisco!"

"Jesse? What's going on?" Cisco asked instantly talking to him rather than Barry who was currently facing off against Shawna and Clay. "It's Haylee. Someone from her past is fighting her, they're a meta with telekinesis but I can tell Haylee is growing tired so... any advice?" Jesse asked frantically. "Telekinesis is mind power, knock the meta out," Caitlin's voice came through the comms making Jesse nod to himself.

He rushed forward as Haylee and Eliza's power bounced off one another sending them crashing to the pavement. "Haylee!" Jesse called out as he rushed over to his sister. "Mind... power... knock... out..." Jesse told her breathlessly as he reached her, his head was throbbing painfully as Eliza stood from the ground. Haylee processed the words before closing her eyes, Jesse ran back from the fight to get out of the way. When Haylee's eyes opened, the usual blue was like static electricity that slowly flowed and zapped over her body.

And within a split moment, the Glitch pushed off the ground moving faster than The Flash could dream which sent her into Eliza, the two of them colliding. Haylee held onto Eliza as they sped through the streak, one long stream of lightning trailing behind Haylee as she grew more and more tired quicker than she normally would. Haylee glitched the two of them straight to Star Labs stunning the three occupants in the Cortex as the lights flickered followed by Haylee throwing Eliza roughly into the wall efficiently knocking her out.

Haylee stumbled on her feet before falling back into the wall, her whole body ached and she felt weaker than ever before. She lifted her head as Barry appeared in front of her, Cisco and Caitlin just behind him as Dr Wells sat to the right. Haylee furrowed her brows slightly when she saw what looked like a mirage of herself before it faded out. Her hearing was faded out and she couldn't hear anyone calling her name as she let her eyes close, succumbing to the darkness.
