Everyone on this planet, at some point in their lives, has had a major case of the feels... Those days when your heart is just too small to hold the big things you're feeling. Today's one of those days. We think of our emotions like they're these unique, personal phenomena, that no one has ever felt what we have felt. There is a basis in science for every emotion we feel... Anger, love. As a scientist, I know there's nothing magical about what makes us feel something for someone else... But then I see her smile.
Barry thinks to himself as he watches Haylee train her abilities with Cisco, the poor tech nerd had been zapped so many times he had to put on a rubber suit just to feel safe. Haylee laughed as Cisco stumbled back. "Nope! I am done, I'll build you something," Cisco pulled the hood off and stumbled away from Haylee who shrugged and walked over to Barry. "I think I upset him," Haylee pointed out to Barry who stood up and grabbed her hand, pulling her closer.
"I just think you've shocked his ego," Barry said with a smile, Haylee rolled her eyes at the obvious pun. "Your puns aren't funny," Haylee told him but he just leaned down and kissed her, the Glitch melted into the kiss and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "Children, please. This old man does not need to see this," Dr Wells stated as he wheeled by them, a happy smile on his face. "Sorry, dad," Haylee mocked before looking at the time.
"Crap! I am late for work. I'll see you later," Haylee kissed Barry swiftly before rushing out of the room, she stopped and turned back, "Bye Dr Wells!" She then glitched to her car and drove off to work leaving a dazed Barry and a laughing Dr Wells. Haylee managed to get through the crazy traffic and arrive twenty minutes late for work, she snuck her way in and dropped into her chair with a happy smile on her face.

"Wait... You are telling me that these people were trying to kill each other?" Haylee spoke over the phone. Barry had called her about the morning's bank robbery that happened, the occupants had gone on a wild rampage in an attempt to kill each other allowing the armed thief to escape with the money. "I think it might be a neurotoxin," Barry told her with a sigh. "So what, these people just got whammied?" Haylee asked getting a chuckle in response.
"That's what I said and Joe judged me," Barry says noticing the slight glare on Joe's face which only made him smile. "Well, Joe often judges you, Barr. That's nothing new," Haylee told him with a teasing smile. "My side, Hayles. Be on my side," Barry replied with a sigh, Haylee could hear Joe laughing in the background. "Sorry, Barr. Tell Joe to stop judging, I've seen the sitcoms he has watched," Haylee replied before sipping her coffee.
"Hey!" Joe's voice came through the phone only making Barry and Haylee laugh in response. "Sorry, not sorry!" Haylee replied. "Anyway, I've got to go but let me know if there is anything I can do to help out," Haylee told Barry. "All right, see you later," Barry bit back the urge to say the three words remembering that they weren't officially together. "Bye," Haylee hung up and leaned back in her seat before letting out a slow breath and focusing on the blog.

"A Jedi craves not these things," Cisco spoke in a Yoda impression making Haylee smile widely at him. "That was good," Haylee nodded but looked down at the unimpressed expressions on everyone else's faces. "Everyone in the bank went total savage for, like, five minutes," Barry explained to everyone. "And what? Then they were just fine?" Haylee asked him, Barry nodded as he stood next to her. "Anger can be a powerful emotion," Dr Wells expressed.
"If this metahuman can engender irrational feelings of anger in his victims, he can do a lot of damage," Haylee spoke up with a worried expression. "Detective West helped get a copy of the cat scans the hospital did on everyone at the bank. Take a look," Caitlin spoke up before showing the scans to everyone. "Oh wow..." Haylee muttered as she analyzed the scans. "Well, look at this, the emotion centers of the brains are still showing signs of being overwhelmed," Dr Wells explained.
"Particularly the area that controls executive function," Haylee added. "That's the part of the brain that stops people from doing whatever random and potentially destructive thing that pops in their head," Caitlin explained to them. "That has saved me from ending up in a cell," Haylee told them with a shrug. "How do you think the meta does it to them?" Barry asked Caitlin. "That's the 1/2 million-dollar question," Caitlin replied.

Haylee stood up from her seat only to be whooshed away, the sound that left Haylee's mouth was in no way attractive. "By the way, I have Oliver, like, 1/2 hour head start," Barry stated as Haylee opened her eyes, a wide smile appearing on her face. "Felicity! Diggle!" Haylee rushed forward and wrapped her arms around Felicity's shoulders as Diggle stared at Barry with wide eyes. "Hi, Barry," Felicity said as Haylee hugged Diggle, the man finally waking from his stare.
"Hey, Felicity. How you doing, Dig?" Barry asked the frozen man as Haylee moved to stand next to Barry again. "You're fast," Diggle spoke which only made Haylee laugh. "Did you guys not tell him about me?" Barry asked. "Seeing is believing, or... drooling," Felicity pointed out before she and Barry laughed. Haylee turned her head to Oliver, a smile appeared on her face as Oliver got off of his motorbike. Barry then remembered that Haylee may not know about Oliver being Arrow, so he smiled sheepishly.
"Hey, thanks for showing up back there, but I had that," Barry said to Oliver who shrugged, "Uh-huh." Barry let out a breath, "What? I was getting ready to make my move." Haylee laughed as she looked at Felicity. "Wait, you got saved by Arrow?" Haylee asked Barry in an amused tone, Oliver smirked softly at Barry. "Wait, you know about Oliver being Arrow?" Barry asked with furrowed brows. "I worked for him, of course, I do," Haylee laughed before hugging Oliver.
"Also, what move? The one to the morgue?" Oliver asked making Haylee laugh. "Wait, so what are you guys doing in Central City?" Barry asked them. "Working a case. Suspicious homicide in the styling where the murder weapon is a boomerang," Felicity explained before showing them the boomerang in a ziplock bag. "Cool," Barry and Haylee said in unison. "I mean, awful," Barry corrected due to Oliver's expression. "I definitely meant cool," Haylee added with a smile, Oliver just rolled his eyes.
"I found traces of iron oxide on it. I know it's a long shot, but Central City has the highest concentration of iron oxide in the country," Felicity explained to Barry and Haylee as they analyzed the boomerang. "Did you know that Australian Aboriginals use boomerangs to hunt? Mainly on kangaroo, which is a surprisingly low-fat source of prot-" Barry was cut off by Oliver clearing his throat. "We were following up a lead when we heard the S.W.A.T Raid over the radio, and I thought that I would come by... watch you make your move," Oliver spoke up.
Haylee laughed at Oliver's teasing comment which caused a small smile to appear on Oliver's face, Barry watched the two interact and he couldn't help the pit of jealousy that formed in his stomach. "I had a cousin who got hit by lightning once. He just developed a stutter," Diggle spoke up making Haylee laugh and pat him on the shoulder. "Wanna see what it did to me?" Haylee asked gaining all three Starling residents attention. Haylee smirked before glitching behind Oliver, she lightly zapped him before glitching beside Barry.
Her eyes were glowing a bright blue as electricity flowed over her in little currents, the sight made Felicity's eyes widen in wonder while Diggle watched in awe. "They call me Glitch now," Haylee told them as the electricity faded back into her. "That is awesome," Felicity stepped closer and carefully laid her head on Haylee's arm before gasping at the lack of static. "How do you control it?" Felicity asked as Oliver sent her a look of concern that Barry noticed.
"Emotions mostly. But I need an electric current nearby otherwise I can end up drained and Dr Wells is worried it could kill me," Haylee told Felicity as she circled around her. "Felicity, she isn't a science project," Oliver reminded her. Felicity cleared her throat before standing next to Diggle again, Haylee sent Oliver a smile. "Huh. Well, our team and I are after a nasty metahuman who makes people angry," Barry told them wanting to push past the jealousy.
"Cool," Felicity exclaimed before noticing Oliver's expression, "I mean, awful." Haylee rolled her eyes before nudging Oliver. "It's cool," Haylee exclaimed with a smirk. "Uh, well, since you guys are here, why don't we team up?" Barry offered. "I'll help you find your boomerang man, you can help me find my super rage-a-holic," Barry added. "We'd love to," Felicity replied before Oliver shook his head. "No, we'll handle our business and head home," Oliver stated.
"The fastest way to find out everything we need to know about the boomerang is to sic Star Labs on it," Felicity told Oliver with Haylee nodding in agreement. "Enough people know my secret identity," Oliver said sternly before glancing at Haylee who glared at him before winking. "Fine... I'll go. They already know who I am," Felicity told him. "I'll help out Oliver," Haylee told Barry before Oliver disagreed, "Go on." Barry nodded at Haylee hesitantly.
Barry grabbed Felicity and sped off in a blur leaving Diggle frozen in place again before he turned to Oliver and Haylee, "Man, that's not freaking you out?" Haylee laughed before glitching over to Oliver's bike. "Let's go," Oliver told Diggle who walked over to his car. "You riding with me then?" Oliver asked Haylee as he approached her. "It's been a while since I have," Haylee told him with a smile. "Does Barry know about you being Raven?" Oliver asked with a serious expression.
"Uh... No. Only Jesse and Cisco know about me being Raven..." Haylee told him openly before looking down. "Trevor Mitchell came after me, Ollie. But someone else had to save me," Haylee expressed to Oliver who clenched his jaw in anger. "I don't know how to tell Barry because I'm scared that he'll look at me differently," Haylee openly expressed to Oliver, he was someone Haylee could always open up to without feeling judged.
"You've seen the way Barry looks at me, right? He knows I've done far worse than you, Haylee. Barry Allen is the last person to judge you on your actions," Oliver assured with a hand resting on Haylee's shoulder. "I miss you, Ollie," Haylee replied before hugging him. "I miss you too, Lee. Let's get out of here," Oliver led Haylee to his bike, he got on with Haylee following after him. She tightened her arms around Oliver's waist, resting her head on his back as they took off.

"They don't trust him," Barry told Haylee over the phone, the girl mentioned was pacing back and forth looking over the files Oliver had given her in regards to the owner of the boomerang. "Of course, they don't trust him, Barr. Arrow has caused a lot of havoc from their view. You and I see a different version of him because we know the man behind the mask," Haylee explained to Barry while Diggle nodded along with her words, Oliver smiling softly for a moment.
"Uh, well, that's true. But Joe wants him out of the city, he's worried that Raven will show up and he hates what she stands for," Barry told Haylee, unknown to him, Haylee sucked in a breath as her eyes watered before a blank expression appeared. Oliver looked at Haylee with a worried expression, he knew that look; it was her self-destructive look that was about to push everyone away from her. "Raven is retired," Oliver spoke up to help relax Haylee, "She left long ago."
"They don't know that though, Joe thinks she might show up because of the rumours about her having a fall out with Arrow and she'll cause trouble in spite of Arrow," Barry explained, Haylee bit her lip and grabbed Oliver's hand to stop her mind from drowning her in painful memories. "As I said, Barry, Raven is retired and there was no fallout, no issues between us. She needed to move on in life and be someone better, I encouraged her to do that," Oliver expressed as he squeezed Haylee's hand in reassurance.
"Okay... I gotta go but Haylee, I'll see you later," Barry stated which made Oliver nod to himself and let go of Haylee's hand. "See you later, Barr," Haylee replied before hanging up and placing her phone on the table. She let out a breath before leaning on the table, she was trying not to let Joe's words affect her as she wasn't Raven anymore, or was she? Is she always gonna be capable of those monstrous actions or can she really be better?
"You're letting your thoughts drown you again," Oliver spoke from next to her, she looked up and noticed that Diggle had left the room. "Joe's been a father to me since I was eleven years old, Ollie. Knowing how he feels about Raven... I guess it's expected but it still worries me," Haylee told him before letting him pull her into a rare Oliver hug. "They don't know your perspective, they only know the media's. When you tell them, they'll understand and if not, like you always say, you don't have to be everything they expect you to be," Oliver assured her.
Haylee pulled her head back from his chest and looked up at him, she smiled as he brushed her hair out of her face. "And no matter how annoying you can be-" Oliver began causing Haylee to slap his shoulder, "-You'll always be family to me. I'm always here for you, Lee." Haylee nodded before cherishing the hug, the two pulled away before Diggle returned. Haylee couldn't help but smile when Oliver mentioned he would get a name for Barry, she was excited to work with them again.

Author Note
In all honesty, I was trapped between having a Haylee x Oliver kiss or keeping it platonic... But I couldn't find myself doing it in this chapter...
So, I'm gonna ask y'all instead.
So we have a #Hayver kiss similar to Barry's and Felicity where it's like a test run of what if or keep it strictly platonic between them?
I also want to let you know that the scene where Barry attacks Eddie; will be purely about his want to arrest the cities hero and has nothing to do with Iris so I may edit the dialogue.
