"So, Snart got away, huh?" Haylee questioned Eddie as she focused her aim on the dartboard, with a breath she released it, hitting the bullseye. "Yeah, but he'll show up eventually. It's his nature," Eddie replied as Haylee hit another bullseye. "Okay, this is unfair. Can you at least do it carelessly so I have a chance?" Eddie asked making Haylee laugh. She picked up the dart and turned to look at Eddie before throwing it, focusing on the metal and sending it into the bullseye.
"H-How?" Eddie asked as he looked from the board to Haylee while Iris laughed. "She's a natural," Iris shrugged as she grabbed the darts and stepped up. "It's okay, Ed. You'll get there one day," Haylee teased before ruffling his hair and walking towards Barry, Caitlin and Cisco. "I mean, I'm only twenty-five, and my drinking days are over already," Barry spoke up with an annoyed sigh as Haylee sat next to him. "What are you talking about?" Haylee questioned with furrowed brows.
The three tensed up at her question and as Cailtin went to speak, Eddie walked over to them. "There was a bombing on 8th and pass," Eddie announced, Haylee's head snapped to him before nodding. "I got to go, babe," Eddie kissed Iris' cheek before waving goodbye to everyone. "It's late and I've got an early shift, bye!" Haylee rushed out of the bar and straight to her car, switching on her police radio before racing through the streets.
Haylee made her way down to the scene, her eyes flitted around in search of the familiar red blur though her eyes turned down an alleyway. She jogged her way down the alley spotting the red blur as he raced up a building and back down with someone, Haylee's eyes widened in pure wonder. The blur turned to her with a small smile, his face vibrating to prevent her from spotting any familiarity. Haylee raised her camera and snapped a quick photo before smiling at the blur.
He stood there for a moment, taken aback by the pure adoration in Haylee's eyes before he disappeared in a blur. Haylee looked down to the photo on her camera screen, her heart racing at the clear photo of the blur himself. His tailored reinforced tri-polymer suit had a symbol on his chest, a lightning bolt with struck Haylee with an idea of who this hero could be. Haylee left the scene before Eddie or Joe could spot her and tell her off.
The moment she got home, saying goodnight to her brother before rushing up the stairs into her room grabbing her laptop instantly. She opened her blog and began uploading the image with the new update, The Flash saves the day again. Haylee smiled to herself as she published it, the views built up in seconds before flowing with responses, mixes of positive and negative responses but still, she was smiling at the person she deemed her hero.

Haylee took in a deep breath as she sat in the abandoned warehouse, the place was large enough to fit a small plane and completely empty minus her. She took in slow deep breaths with her eyes closed, sitting in front of her was a row of lightbulbs. Her test for that day was to slowly light each bulb one by one, testing the capability of her electrical manipulation. The first half-hour was unsuccessful as she forced herself to focus, soon becoming frustrated.
After around three hours, the only luck she had was shattering three bulbs out of pure frustration before she got a message from Iris. She pack the bulbs into a box and left them by the door of the warehouse before walking out to her car. It took her fifteen minutes to get to Jitters where Iris was waiting for her with coffee. The two enjoyed lunch and Haylee volunteered to cook dinner for her and Joe that night like old times.
"Hey, dad. You're home early," Iris spoke up as Joe walked in the door. Haylee stepped out of the kitchen and smiled at Joe, "Hey papa Joe, how's it going?" Joe looked to Iris and motioned her towards the stairs as he always did when they were kids, more specifically when Haylee would aid Barry in his little runaways. "What were you doing at the bomb site last night?" Joe asked Haylee in his father voice after Iris had left the two.
"Don't deny you weren't there. Officer Vukuvich saw you," Joe added as Haylee went to deny the accusation. "Little snitch..." Haylee muttered but Joe heard and fought the tempting grin at her child-like expression of anger. "You can't be coming to every crime scene because you think you are a cop. You have CSI training but you weren't approved on the scene," Joe expressed sternly. "I, uh, wasn't there to play CSI or cop..." Haylee scratched her arm, a nervous habit.
Joe raised his brows for her to explain herself, she dug her nails into her palm as she clenched her fists. "I went there to see the streak," Haylee explained. "The Streak? Hmm, why is that?" Joe asked her with his arms crossed. "My blog. I've been collecting internet posts about the Streak sightings, and writing about them," Haylee expressed, her eyes shining in wonder as a bright smile graced her face - not realising the lights in the room had brightened with her.
"Baby, there's no streak," Joe sighed with a shake of his head but Haylee gritted her teeth slightly. "Yes, there is. I saw him last night, Joe. We looked at each other, he... smiled at me. Something incredible is happening in Central City... And I'm gonna write about it," Haylee announced in a firm tone, she wasn't gonna back down. "Now, if you excuse me, I have to get to work, but I'll be back to cook dinner," Haylee kissed Joe's kiss before calling out goodbye to Iris.

"Miss Brager?" A woman stood in front of Haylee's desk, she looked up at the copper brunette glanced around in slight paranoia. "Can I help you?" Haylee asked as she noticed the woman rub her own hands together fearfully. "I hope you can... Can we speak privately?" The woman asked. Haylee nodded and lead her into a private office she knew had no cameras or microphones. "So what can I help you with?" Haylee asked politely pulling the chair out for the woman.
"What do you know about Metahumans?" The woman asked firmly causing Haylee to falter as she sat across from the woman. "I know that they were affected by the Particle Accelerator and their meta abilities are based purely on their environment, physical condition during the explosion or their own personality. Why do you ask? Are you?" Haylee furrowed her brows looking at the uneasy woman.
"It'll be okay," Haylee made the mistake of reaching out and grabbing the woman's hand. She grabbed back with wide eyes, her heart racing with watery tears as she watched however, Haylee just stood up with her hands help up. "I'm sorry... Personal space, I forget sometimes," Haylee assured but she noticed the woman's expression morph from utter fear to confusion. "H-How?" The woman mumbled awaiting for the worst but nothing.
"What is your name? You clearly know mine," Haylee questioned as she sat in her seat. "I-I'm Bette Sans Souci and I need your help..." Bette went on to explain to Haylee how she was being hunted by General Wade Eiling after he made her into a human bomb, the brunette journalist smiled sadly at the woman. "I don't know how much help I'll be but maybe you should consider letting the streak - well, the Flash as I've decided to call him - help you, he seems to do good and he may be more helpful than me," Haylee expressed.
Haylee assured Bette that if anyone can help her, it's The Flash and so the human bomb said goodbye to the journalist and left the CCPN. Haylee stood at the doors smiling at the woman as she left, her heart was racing as she looked down at her hand while furrowing her brows. Haylee was completely unaffected by the woman who could turn things into bombs but yet, Haylee felt a small tingle and that was it. And Haylee hoped that The Flash would indeed help Bette.

"You've got to stop writing about this guy," Barry expressed sternly to Haylee as he sat down across from her at Jitters. "He doesn't even exist," Barry added with a wince, lying to Haylee was something he never wanted to do. "I saw him, Barr. He wears a red suit made clearly from reinforced tri-polymer, which would make sense at the speeds he runs, with an emblem, a symbol of a lightning bolt. Barr, he's real," Haylee explained to Barry before sipping her latte.
"I mean, Haylee, come on. You were drinking last night at the bar," Barry exclaimed to Haylee despite knowing that Haylee had a great tolerance for alcohol. "Barr, you know I only had two drinks because you paid for both despite me saying no. I know what I saw, Barr. He wears a mask but I know he smiled at me," Haylee expressed, her eyes glazing over in adoration as she focused on each detail of the memory.
"Okay, first of all, if he is wearing a mask, that probably means he doesn't want people to know who he is," Barry pointed up but Haylee sighed. "It doesn't matter who he is, at least not to the world," Haylee replied before muttering, "It matters to me." Barry sighed with a shake of his head. "What matters is that people know that he's out there. What is wrong with me sharing this with the world? This is important to me," Haylee frowned at Barry as he stared at her.
"Why can't you be more supportive?" Haylee's voice crumbled slightly and the sad tone made Barry's heart clench. Barry always supported Haylee, back her up and helped her believe in the impossible, and in return, she would do the same for him. "I'm just... You haven't even put your name on it. How serious can you be about an anonymous blog?" Barry questioned smugly believing he had the upper hand.
"Okay, you know what? Our entire lives, we've had each other's backs about the impossible, both witnessing forms of it, and now it's actually happening in Central City. I have proof of it, and you don't want to know about it? That doesn't make sense, Barry," Haylee expressed before standing up after checking the time. "So when you're ready to tell me what you are keeping from me or at least, something in regards to what's going on with you... Then we can talk," Haylee smiled sadly at Barry before walking out of Jitters.
Barry looked to Iris who had heard the last part of the conversation, she slowly approached Barry and leaned against the table. "She has a point, Barry. Both of us, even Jesse, have noticed the routine you've been pulling... She's just missing her best friend," Iris squeezed Barry's shoulder in comfort before getting back to work. Barry's phone vibrated on the table, Cisco's name appearing on the screen making him sigh before answering.

Haylee had gone straight home and after staring down at her blog for almost an hour, she updated the whole blog. She changed the theme to red and gold, added small icons and most of all, she updated a new post signed with her name. She knew the possible outcomes that could come from this but with her Metahuman abilities and her prior training with Oliver, she knew she could stand her ground.
She smiled to herself slightly before getting up and making her way into her bathroom deciding on a relaxing bath for the night, she smiled slightly as she stripped off her floral dress and unpinned her hair letting it fall over her shoulders. Haylee let herself relax as she proceeded to do her skincare routine as the tub filled with hot water. Haylee let out a sigh as she looked down to the light scar down her stomach before blinking back tears and relaxing in the bathtub.
Unknown to her, one person saw her name on the blog causing their fists to clench in pure rage and anger before they threw their laptop across the room. Their eyes began to glow a vibrant red, their veins popping with the same glow as they screamed out causing everything in the room to lift from the ground and fly throughout the room in a panicked frenzy. The person was seething in pure anger, their gazes focused on the wall where a knife pinned a photo of Haylee Brager herself.
