"So, you totally set that up," Barry stated before sipping his coffee. "I didn't want to lie but I couldn't break Iris' trust so I resolved it by coincidently having you witness it by total chance," Haylee pointed out before finishing off her latte, throwing the cup into a nearby trashcan. Barry laughed as he threw his cup away, "You never cease to amaze me, Hayles." Haylee bowed to Barry as police cars came soaring around the corner.

Barry looked up as it slowed down, he grabbed Haylee and pulled her to the ground before one of the police cars hit the garden bed. Haylee groaned quietly as she turned to look at Barry, his eyes focused on the car from the bank robbery earlier that day. Time slowed down for Barry as Clyde Mardon drove by them, his gaze locked on Barry before driving away with the police cars following behind him.

Haylee looked at her arm and noticed a light bruising appearing on her wrist by the time she looked back to call for Barry, he was gone. Barry rushed after Clyde Mardon before phasing through the door without a second thought, the glass shattering on impact. Mardon reached for his gun but time slowed for Barry as he reached for the steering wheel, the force caused the car to turn and flip in the process.

Barry made his way through the window, climbing out of the car with a minor cut to his head. Clyde had already gotten out of the car, the "dead" man walked away from the car shaking out his sore shoulder. "Hey! Mardon!" Barry called out. Clyde turned to Barry instantly, the two stared each other down for a moment before Clyde walked forward a few steps. Clyde raised his arms, fog forming behind him in the process causing Barry to look around.

The fog covered the area allowing Clyde to sneak away as Barry sped out of the way of a car that crash over the flipped car. Haylee found Barry and helped him up, "Where did you go? What were you thinking? Barry, I already almost lost you once..." Barry looked at Haylee noticing the fear and worry in her eyes. "I'm okay, Hayles. I had to do something," Barry shrugged lightly causing Haylee to pinch his arm, "Ow!" Haylee pouted at him.

"The way that fog came in, I have never seen anything like it. I mean, scientifically, is that possible?" Haylee questioned Barry as the coroner wheeled the body towards the van. Before Barry could respond to Haylee, Joe walked up to them with his worried father expression. "Barry! Haylee... " Joe called before resting his hand on Haylee's shoulder. "I'm alright, Papa Joe. Really, Barry protected me," Haylee smiled softly at the man she considered her father.

"What were you thinking having her out here?" Joe reprimanded Barry before turning to Haylee with a stern expression, "And I have told you when you see danger, you run the other way!" Haylee looked down after attempting to stand up for Barry. "Joe, I need to talk to you," Barry said, attempting to walk to the side. "It can wait," Joe told Barry. "No, now!" Barry replied before walking away, the two of them stepping to the side.

Haylee sent Iris a message warning her that both Haylee and Barry were currently in Joe's bad books. "I know who did this," Barry told Joe, glancing at Haylee as she looked at her wrist with a confused expression. Joe nodded at Barry who sighed, "It's Clyde Mardon." Joe sent him a look of disbelief, resting his hands on his hips. "I know everybody thinks he died in a plane crash after the S.T.A.R Labs explosion, but he is alive," Barry explained.

Joe stayed silent so Barry continued his point of view, "All right, something happened to him that night. I... I think he can control the weather." Joe avoided eye contact with Barry as he nodded, though he didn't believe a word Barry was saying. "The recent robberies, they all happened during freak meteorological events and when I just confronted Mardon, the street was instantly enveloped in fog," Barry explained, Haylee had stepped closer listening to the two.

Barry looked away from Joe with a pained expression, "Of course, you don't believe me. You never believe me." Haylee's heart ached at those words, she believed him and there was no doubt in her mind that she'd help him prove it too. "Okay. You want to do this now?" Joe answered back and Haylee knew the turn this would take. "Joe, maybe--" Haylee tried to interrupt but Joe held up his hand to shush her.

"Fine. Mardon is dead. There is no controlling the weather, Barry. Just like there was no lightning storm in your house that night," Joe said sternly, Haylee felt herself getting angry with Joe's words noticing the pained expression on Barry's face. "It was your brain helping a scared little boy accept what he saw," Joe continued, Barry shaking his head in the process. "My dad did not murder my mother," Barry responded.

"Yes, he did! Your dad killed your mother, Barry!" Joe shouted harshly at Barry. "Joe!" Haylee spoke sternly but he just ignored her. "I am sorry, son! But I knew it, the jury knew it, and now he's paying for what he did," Joe stated sternly in Barry's face. "I have done my best to take care of you since that night, and I have never asked for anything in return, not even a thank you, but what I do ask now is that you for once in your life see things as they are," Joe finished off.

Haylee had enough once she saw the tears welling in Barry's eyes, she stepped forward pushing between the two. "That is--" Haylee began but Joe went to speak only for Haylee to groan in pure anger. "NO!" Haylee said, a strange tingling coursed through her fingers. "THAT. IS. ENOUGH!" Haylee said harshly and sternly. Joe stepped back as Barry looked down with a sigh before walking away from the two.

Haylee took deep breaths as Eddie approached them. "You two are not gonna believe this. We got the eyewitness sketch of the robber from the bank job," Eddie spoke as he opened the sketch to show Joe and Haylee. "If I didn't know better, I'd say that's Clyde Mardon," Eddie added after handing the paper to Haylee, she and Joe looked at the sketch while Eddie pulled out Clyde's mugshot from his pocket. "But that's impossible. He's dead, right?" Eddie asked.

Haylee shoved the sketch into Joe's chest with some force, "Looks like you were wrong, again. Fix it, Joe. Henry is not a murderer." Haylee rested her hand on Eddie's arm, squeezing gently as a goodbye before storming off to find Iris knowing she needed to talk to her. Haylee looked down at her wrist again, moving it in a circle expecting pain knowing she had sprained it yet nothing happened. She looked at her hands before shaking off the strange feeling hoping it was nothing.
