After Barry sped his way through an alley into the back of a truck, he headed back to S.T.A.R Labs and informed the three remaining scientists about the strange ability. Deciding to test the ability, they headed out onto a tarmac where Barry could so them his super speed. "You don't really believe he can run that fast, do you?" Caitlin asks Dr Wells. "Well, I believe anything is possible, and in a few minutes, maybe you will too," Dr Wells responded.

Barry stepped out of the van in a tight testing suit, helmet and knee pads. "How does it fit?" Cisco asked as Barry walked down the steps. "It's a little snug," Barry replied. "At least you will be moving so fast no one will see you," Cisco informed him. "See, you thought the world was slowing down. It wasn't. You were moving so fast it only looked like everyone else was standing still," Dr Wells explained to Barry.

"Dr Wells will be monitoring your energy output, and Caitlin, your vitals," Cisco explained to Barry as he walked closer to the starting point on the tarmac. "What do you do?" Barry questioned Cisco who smiled at him. "I make the toys, my man. Check it. This is a two-way headset with a camera I modified. Typically designed to combat battlefield impulse noise, or in your case, potential sonic booms, which would be awesome," Cisco cheered with a chuckle.

Barry smiled at Cisco's enthusiasm, "You and Haylee would get along great." Cisco turned his head to Barry. "We already do, she's basically my best friend," Cisco responded before turning to the screens. Barry nodded and turned to Caitlin who was doing a quick check, his gaze focused on her. "What?" Caitlin asked. "Nothing. I just noticed you don't smile much," Barry told her with a raised brow.

Caitlin lowered the tablet in her hand and looked up at Barry, "My once-promising career in bioengineering is over, my boss is in a wheelchair for life, the explosion that put you in a coma also killed my fiance. So this blank expression kind of feels like the way to go." Barry looked down as Caitlin walked away from him. "Mr Allen, while I am extremely eager to determine your full range of abilities, I do caution restraint," Dr Wells warned.

Barry stepped up to the starting block and put his feet into place, taking in a deep breath before pushing off of the ground and racing forward. "He just passed 200 miles per hour," Cisco read out to the other two. "It's not possible," Caitlin said but Cisco just looked at her before looking back at the red blur that had faded leaving a trail of yellow lightning behind him. A memory emerged in Barry's mind of the night his mother was killed, the memory caused him to lose control and crash.

Haylee was standing in front of the bathroom mirror at the CCPD, her breathing was ragged as her head pounded, ringing sounded through her ears. She pulled some medication from her bag and grabbed a pill before swallowing it, taking a couple of deep breaths with her eyes closed. She slowly opened her eyes and for a moment, she could have sworn her eyes were glowing a vibrant blue, but it was gone within a blink. Shaking her head, the ringing slowly died down and left her in silence.

Her breathing calmed and she closed her eyes again. She knew that being struck by lightning, even if that impact didn't hit her straight on, would have side effects but she never knew they'd be this bad. Her phone began to ring, she picked it up and saw Iris' contact appear, with a sigh, she answered the phone. "Hey, Iris, what's going on?" Haylee spoke as she grabbed her bag and headed out of the bathroom into the main foyer of the CCPD.

"Hey, Haylee. I was just wondering how the reunion with Barry went," Iris asked. "It went well, Iris. I'm beyond glad he's awake and healthy, I was beyond worried but my question is, are you gonna tell him?" Haylee asked referring to Iris and Eddie, she hated keeping it from Joe but keeping from Barry was not ideal. Haylee heard Iris sigh, "I just don't want to upset him or risk him telling dad, he hates lies."

Haylee nodded as she stepped into the elevator, "Oh trust me, I know. But... if he finds out from anyone other than you--" Iris interrupted, "--He'll be more upset. I know, plus I don't want him mad at you. I'll talk to him when I can." Haylee nodded to herself. "Alright, look I gotta go. I need to get to CCPN, talk later!" Haylee smiled as Iris said bye before hanging up. Haylee got into her Jeep and made her way to the CCPN, oblivious to the eyes watching her.

"It looks like you had a distal radius fracture," Caitlin explained to Barry, they were now back at S.T.A.R Labs. "Had?" Barry was stunned. "It's healed... In three hours," Caitlin informed him as she looked down at the tablet in her hands. "How is that even possible?" Barry asked. "We don't know... yet," Caitlin answered before stepping away from Barry.

"You really need to learn how to stop. As Lee would say, you aren't Luis Mendoza. God, that girl loves The Mighty Ducks," Cisco rambled, a fond smile appeared on Barry's face as he mentally agreed with Cisco. "What happened out there?" Dr Wells asked gaining Barry's attention. "You were moving pretty well, and then something caused you to lose focus," Dr Wells finished off. "I started remembering something," Barry began with a sigh.

"When I was eleven, my mother was murdered," Caitlin and Cisco looked down at Barry's words. "It was late. A sound woke me up. I came downstairs and... I saw what looked like a ball of lightning. Inside the lightning, there was a man. He killed my mom. They arrested my dad. He's still sitting in Iron Heights for her murder. Everyone, the cops, the shrinks, they all told me what I saw was impossible. But what if the man who killed my mom was like me?" Barry explained, his face falling by the end of it.

"Well, I think I can say unequivocally you are one of a kind," Dr Wells replied before they fell into silence. Barry let out a sigh before excusing himself and leaving the building, after receiving a message from Haylee to meet her at Jitters, he sped his way there. Haylee walked towards the doors, looking down at her phone with a small frown. "You should look where you are going," Barry's voice caught her attention.

She smiled up at him, "I'm specially trained, I think I'm fine." Barry shook his head before turning to the door spotting Iris kissing Eddie. "Yikes..." Haylee said sarcastically. Iris turned her gaze to see Barry and Haylee standing there, Haylee shrugged her shoulders as Barry raised his brows looking between them. "You did this on purpose," Barry spoke up. "I hate lying to you," Haylee said with a shrug before walking inside and smiling at Iris and Eddie.

"You owe me," Haylee said to Eddie as Iris and Barry stepped to the side. Eddie sighed before pulling out a twenty and handing it to her, she smiled widely at him before sitting next to him. "So, the bank?" Haylee asked. "The security cameras at the bank, apparently they all shorted out. We had a bunch of witnesses claiming that the sky went black and then, outside was inside," Eddie explained to her, Haylee's mind began running wild at the information.

She turned her head to Barry who motioned for her to follow him, he was holding to cups and she smiled widely. Barry watched as she hugged Eddie, the detective kissed the side of Haylee's head in a brotherly fashion. "Bye, Iris!" Haylee cheered before hugging the girl then skipping over to Barry. Barry smiled at her before handing her the cup containing her Vanilla Latte, She smiled up at him as the two made their way down the street with smiles on their faces.
