Iris' face was contorted to pain as she watched Barry go into cardiac arrest again, she turned her gaze away from him to Haylee who was still and pale, her machine beating in a healthy rhythm. After convincing the West family, Harrison moved Barry to S.T.A.R Labs where they could keep an eye on him. Iris spent most of her time by Haylee's side in the hospital, it was around four months after the explosion that Haylee finally woke up.

She had been to visit Barry often at S.T.A.R Labs, talking to him and telling him about her days in hopes that he would wake up. Haylee spent a lot of time with Iris and in turn, she was present throughout the change of relationship between Eddie Thawne and Iris West, which she fully supported. Due to the Particle Accelerator explosion, Haylee decided against working at S.T.A.R Labs as her dreams weren't of use there anymore.

So she spent most of her days working at Central City Picture News writing about different scientific studies and how they impact the world while ignoring Mercury Labs and Stagg Industries who were both attempting to convince the young woman to work for them. She was even working part-time in Barry's place as a CSI for Captain Singh who was beyond happy to hear she had woken from her strange coma.

And despite the occasional headaches that seemed to hit Haylee at random times plus the strange static sound that rings throughout her ears, Haylee was beyond happy to be alive. She was currently in Barry's lab looking at some blood she had taken from a crime scene, a chocolate chip muffin and a Vanilla Latte sitting on the desk next to her as she hummed a quiet tune to herself - completely obvious of what was happening over in S.T.A.R Labs.

Lady Gaga's Poker Face was playing through the speakers as Cisco Ramon danced around singing the words through the cortex. Caitlin Snow lifted her head to look at Cisco with furrowed brows, "What are you doing?" Cisco looked over to Caitlin with a small smile. "He likes this song," Cisco explained in vague detail. "How could you possibly know that?" Caitlin asked as she looked over to Barry who was still asleep with machines connected to him.

"I checked his Facebook page. I mean, he can hear everything, right?" Cisco spoke with a wide grin that slowly formed into a smirk, "Plus, Lee may have been singing it to him last she was here." Caitlin rolled her eyes before looking down at the tablet in her hands. "Auditory functions are the last sensory faculties to degenerate," Cisco recounted Haylee's random spurt of information from when they last hung out.

A sudden gasp caught both Catilin and Cisco's attention, they turned their heads to see Barry now sitting up. "Oh, my God! Where am I?" Barry asked as he looked around. "He's up," Cisco says before leaning towards a microphone, "Dr Wells, get down to the cortex, like, right now." Cisco walked over to Barry where Caitlin was shining a light in his eyes. "Pulse 120, pupils equally reactive to light," Caitlin spoke before lowering the light.

"Hey, her, whoa, whoa, relax. Everything's okay, man. You're at S.T.A.R Labs," Cisco attempted to keep Barry calm. "S.T.A.R Labs? Who are you?" Barry questioned him before glancing at Caitlin. "I'm Cisco Ramon. She's Caitlin... Dr Snow," Cisco introduced after receiving a slight glare from Caitlin when she was mentioned. "I need you to urinate in this," Caitlin said as she held up a specimen cup. "Not this second," Cisco said pushing Caitlin's arm down.

"What is... what is happening? What is going on?" Barry questioned them as he thought back to the last thing he could remember. "You were struck by lightning, dude," Cisco told him with a smile on his face. "What?" Barry looked from Cisco to the mirror behind him. "Lightning... gave me abs?" Barry said confused as he looked at his body.

Caitlin walked over to Barry, "Your muscles should be atrophied, but instead they're in a chronic and unexplained state of cellular regeneration." Barry looked confused, Cisco led him over to the bed. "You were in a coma," Cisco explained to Barry. "For how long?" He asked the two with a worried expression. "Nine months," Another voice caught his attention. "Welcome back, Mr Allen. We have a lot to discuss," Harrison Wells spoke.

Barry stared at his idol in shock, Harrison Wells was now confined to a wheelchair. "It's hard to believe I'm here. I have always wanted to meet you face to face," Barry informed Dr Wells who smiled in response. "Yeah? Well, you certainly went to great lengths to do it," Dr Wells answered him before sighing. "S.T.A.R Labs has not been operational since FEMA categorized us as a class four hazardous location," Dr Wells explained to Barry.

"Seventeen people died that night. Many more were injured, myself among them," Dr Wells continued as he pointed towards himself. "What happened?" Barry asked him. "Nine months ago, the Particle Accelerator went online exactly as planned. For 45 minutes, I had achieved my life's dream. And then... Then there was an anomaly. The electron volts became unmeasurable, the ring under us popped," Dr Wells explained to Barry.

Barry looked at Dr Wells with a sympathetic smile, he couldn't imagine how bad the man must feel. "Energy from that detonation was thrown into the sky and that, in turn, seeded a storm cloud..." Dr Wells explained before Barry spoke up, "That created a lightning bolt that struck me." Dr Wells nodded solemnly. "That's right. And Haylee Brager," Dr Wells informed Barry whose head lifted instantly, the night flashed through his mind.

"Where is she? Is she okay?" Barry asked, he was beginning to feel that panic settle in again as he worried about Haylee. "She is fine, she woke up four months after the incident," Dr Wells said with a raised hand. "I was recovering myself... When I heard about you and Miss Brager. The hospital was undergoing unexplainable power outages every time you were going into cardiac arrest, even after the one time Miss Brager did," Dr Wells kept his gaze on Barry as he spoke.

"Which was actually a misdiagnosis because you see, you weren't flatlining, Barry. Your heartbeat was moving too fast for the EKG to register it," Dr Wells spoke in a tone of wonder, he was amazed by the mere thought of the unexplainable. "Now, I'm not the most popular person in town these days, despite Miss Brager's words of wisdom in her articles, but Detective West and his daughter gave me permission to bring you here, where we were able to stabilize you," Dr Wells finished his explanation.

Barry looked down for a moment as he processed the words, "Iris?" Dr Wells nodded, "Iris, yes." Barry nodded before letting a slow breath. "What about Haylee?" Barry asked, concerned about her. "Ah, yes. Miss Brager, she is doing fine as far as I know. She came to visit you quite often," Dr Wells spoke with a kind tone, Barry could tell that Dr Wells clearly had a liking towards Haylee and it made Barry smile.

"She talks a lot," Caitlin stated though she never really minded Haylee's habit of rambling considering most of the time, she was talking about science or music. "Also, she's hot!" Cisco said with a wide smile that faded when Barry raised a brow at him. "She's a kind soul," Dr Wells added with a fond smile. "I need to go," Barry said, he needed to see Haylee, Iris and Joe. "No, you can't," Caitlin made an attempt to stop him.

"No, now that you're awake, we need to do more tests. You're still going through changes, there's so much that we don't know," Dr Wells said urgently. "I'm fine, really. I feel normal. Thank you for saving my life," Barry said before walking out of the room. He stepped back in, "Can I keep the sweatshirt?" Dr Wells sighed, "yeah, keep the sweatshirt." Barry smiled before jogging out of the building, his mind focused on finding the three most important people in his life.

I personally love the Love Interest being in love with the Main Character first, then have the Main Character fall for the Love Interest, so yeah.
