Chapter 18

You curiously tilted your head. "Is it another pleasant surprise again?" You said sarcastically.

"Oh no, no violence involved." She squeezed your hand slightly.

She stopped in her tracks and pulled you closer to her. "But I have something extra special planned later, for just the two of us." She whispered in your ear.

Her proximity and overall action made you nearly shut down. "Oh my.." You said under your breath.

"But for now something else, best for last~" She said joyfully and began to lead you on to the next thing she had in store.

She spotted a larger hammock that was strung up between two large trees. She pulled you over to it and laid down in it, swinging it slightly. She moved over a bit and pulled you in it with her, letting you lay between her legs and rest your head on her chest.

"Woah." You said as the hammock wobbled.

"Stop moving so much or we're going to fall." She giggled, trying to balance it. After a few moments you both steadied the hammock, letting it swing in a smooth and slow motion.

Yaoyorozu stroked the top of your hair softly. Between the comfort and the perfect weather you got lost in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" Yaoyorozu asked softly.

"Oh?" You pulled out of thought. "Nothing really, just thinking about us." You explained.

"Us? What do you mean?"

"Just how we treated each other before y'know. We didn't really talk to each other that much but when we did we always argued."

She laughed slightly. "We did argue a lot, but I'm glad we could put our differences aside and be friends. You've proven to be quite amusing to me."

"I'm amusing to everyone, thank you very much." You teased.

"I don't doubt it, you're sweet, kind, funny, and on top of all that beautiful." She said sweetly, still playing with your hair.

Heat rose to your face as your heart skipped a beat.

"Thank you Momo." You said with a bright smile.

"I only speak the truth dear." She brought her one hand and pointed to the sky. "Look that cloud looks like a rabbit." She pointed to a cloud.

"Oh really? Hm, that one resembles a sword." You pointed to another cloud that floated above.

You both spent time looking at the clouds. You spent enough time together on the hammock because the sky began to turn shades of a summer sunset.

"Let's head back, I have one more thing planned." Yaoyorozu said.

"What is it?" You asked with burning curiosity.

"I'm not telling, it would ruin the surprise." She said shifting in the hammock.

"Fine, keep your secrets."

She went to sit up but rocked the hammock too much, making you both lose balance and fall off onto the ground below.

Luckily Yaoyorozu broke your fall, you fell on top of her.

"Are you okay?" You asked after rolling off her.

"Yep." She said and dusted herself off.

"Sorry." You giggled and helped her up.

"Hey at least I broke your fall." She shrugged grabbing your hand.

"My hero." You teased.

You both walked back to your cabin. She let go your hand and opened the small fridge that came with the cabin. You look over her shoulder to see what she was grabbing.

"Nosy aren't you?"

"Maybe."

She pulled out a cute picnic basket.

"Be a dear and grab that bag over there will you?" She pointed to a bag beside her bed.

You obliged and picked it up. With curiosity you opened it, it had two blankets folded neatly inside. You were able to put two and two together, realizing she'd planned a picnic for the two of you.

"Oh you shouldn't have." You turned around to face her.

"Of course I did! Don't be silly, we both deserve it." She closed the fridge.

"Ugh you're too sweet."

"I know." She said with a sly smile. "Now let's go." She opened the cabin door.

You let her lead the way, eventually leading you into an open meadow. It was beautiful, almost like you'd only see it in your dreams.

"Wow.." You said in awe.

"Amazing isn't it?"

You nodded in agreement. Yaoyorozu and you found a proper spot to lay down the large blanket. She then set the picnic basket down. You both sat down next to each other. You watched as Yaoyorozu pulled out a few candles, and placed them cautiously around the blanket. She lit them one by one, illuminating the area around you.

"This is perfect." You continued to look around the meadow.

Yaoyorozu set the food up nicely on the blanket. There was a whole array of food.

"Turns out the teachers were packed with a bunch food, so I asked them for a favour, surprisingly they agreed." She explained.

"Yaomomo, seriously this is too kind."

She shook her head and took your face into her hands. "I had to, you've been nothing but good to me even after I've treated you unfairly. Now open your mouth."

You hesitated but opened your mouth anyways, Yaoyorozu than placed a chocolate covered strawberry in your mouth. You blushed slightly at the heavy eye contact.

"Chocolate covered strawberries are my favourite." She said, putting one in her mouth as well.

"When did you have time to put this all together?" You asked.

"I have my ways." She said with a sly smile and a wink.

"So mysterious." You looked around the food she had laid out and you found one of your favourite snacks. You picked it up with a smile then looked back at her.

"How did you know these are my favourite?"

"I like to pay attention, I noticed you had a great liking to that." She said with a small blush on her face.

"You're amazing." You said, trying to find the proper words to explain the girl.

"I know darling." She chuckled.

You both snacked on the food the girl packed for both of you. Once you both felt full enough you both laid down next to each other.

"The stars are beautiful tonight." She said looking up at the clear night sky scattered with stars.

"Sometimes I don't realize how many stars there are. The city is nice and all but you can't stargaze like this there." You said.

"Mhm." She agreed.

After some blissful moments you spoke again.

"I've always wanted to stargaze with someone I really care about."

"What do you mean?" She questioned.

"I don't know maybe as a date.. or like with a significant other, y'know. It's difficult to put into words." You tried to explain.

Yaoyorozu sat up, you did as well.

"So does that mean you have a crush?" She asked with a burning curiosity.

You hesitated, thinking over your words before you spoke. "I don't know, I'm just so confused. Maybe? I don't know. The boys are okay I guess." You lied at the end.

"Oh darling, you've got it all twisted." She said, looking you straight in the eyes.

"How so?" You tilted your head slightly.

"Let me show you." She leaned herself closer to you, putting her hands softly on both sides of your face. Without realizing you leaned in as well, closing the gap between you two.

You felt her soft lips press against yours. Your heart fluttered, feeling a spark between you two. You put your arms around her waist, pulling her in to feel her body against yours. After pulling away for a moment to catch your breath you crashed your lips against hers again, this time more passionately. She moved her hands to softly run them up and down your waist. You both pulled away from the kiss a second time, it took your brain a moment to catch up to reality.

'Oh my god..'
