   𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗺𝗽 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝗽, you wince as you look to see YOU WERE FLOATING?!!

"Uuhhhh, guys?"

   You called out, they didn't responded but you stifled a snicker at the old lady holding Sonic. You look up seeing you're touching the ceiling, making you guess you've floated up when you were sleeping but how?

   You guessed again it was that new upgraded energy by the spark demon, you huffed as you grip on the wooden ceiling trying to focus on going down. Taking a deep breath you thought of how you always come down....

   You open an eye. And you're still in the air, on the ceiling.

   You suddenly felt dizzy, you hold you mouth as your whole body spins when you suddenly lost grip. You pull your knees to your chest as both hands were on your mouth holding in vomit.

   Your eyes were shut but you can hear Sonic waking up.

   Sonic stretches his arms letting a yawn out during the process, he opens his eyes and became stiff.... 

"Tails, Tails, we have a situation."

   Sonic shakes Tails asleep as the woman tightens her arms around him, Tails shuffles and groan looking at Sonic rubbing his eyes. He quietly gasped and stifles a giggle.

"Tails this isn't funny please bud help–"

   Sonic pleases as he reaches for him.

"Okay hold on."

   Tails grins as he stands up and holds the lady's arm up where it was on top of Sonic, Sonic rolls away as he huffs fast like he was in a traumatic experience (💀). He sighs in relief though, he was away from the lady at least. 

"Thanks bud."

"No problem Sonic—! Y/n!?"

   Tails looks up and so did Sonic, you were looking pale and sick as you floated away. 

"Blleehhhhhh I feel like throwing up...."

   You wailed as you floated more to the side, Sonic and Tails were shocked seeing you like this make'n Sonic stand up. 

"Don't worry Y/n! We'll get you down!.... So how'll we get them down?"

   Tails shrugs, placing a finger underneath his chin he chimes up with an idea.

"I'll pull him down and you hold his hand until he figures out how to stop floating!"

"Sounds like a plan!"

   Sonic puts a thumbs up,........ 'Wait hold his hand.' Tails flys up to you as you looked at him sickly. He scrunches up a bit but he drags you down to the floor, poor you, your whole body was wobble and was like a ragged doll.

   Sonic gulps as he reaches a hand towards you, Tails connects your guys hands together and boom! Holding hands until you figure out how to stop floating.

   Sonic was sweating bullets, yes y'all held hands before but this felt different, he's in the zone where he can be patient and wait for his future love–I mean friend to feel better and be some sort of comfort. He tightens his grip on your hand to make sure you don't float away like a balloon.

   Well you hung your head low as he drags you to a safe spot in the cabin. 

"Ok Y/n your feeling alright?"

"No."

   Sonic scrunches up his nose at your state, you just look like you really wanna throw up. Your eyes were droopy as well as your ears, Sonic was worried for you but as a instinct he grabs your other hand. They all wait for you to go down....

"Uuhhh Y/n why haven't you stopped floating?"

"Mmrrhhh, I forgot how..."

   You drop your head down as you groan more, then your whole body was about to collapse on the floor but Sonic caught you in time holding you. You were actually light! Well you are a bit short but he was in awe of his strength and your weight.

"Seems like you stopped floating!"

"Really?"

   You suddenly perked up feeling better! You tap Sonic to put you down which he happily does so; with a bit of a red face, you stand up in place looking at yourself. Tails tilts his head and points.

"Hey Y/n is it me or does your fur look more lighter?"

   You paused..... Then looked at your arm seeing you're rather lighter! Sonic seemed to check it out too as he looked up and down at you.

"You are lighter!"

"Uhm I still look fine yes?"

   You look at them both with a worry glint in your eyes, Sonic stiffens as he feels his face getting hot,... And his fur puffing up a bit.

"Y- yes you still l-look like yourself and good! I-uhmm mean you've always looked good, I mean fine I-I mean!..... Tails speak for me please."

   He covers his face turning away in embarrassment. Tails slyly grins then coughs his throat.

"What he's trynna say is Y/n you still look the same and still look good!"

"Oh phew, I was hoping my appearance still looked good—Ah, Ah! Acho!—"

   You sneezed sending you flying up on the ceiling, you hit your head making a loud 'bump' and fall back down. Sonic and Tails panic as you fall down to he floor, Sonic acted fast. He runs up a table and jumps up towards you as he let his arms out to you, he caught you! He slides across the floor as he held you close to him,...

"Y/n are you okay!?"

"Yeah I think,... Ow."

   You rub the back of your head, Sonic sighs in relief as he stands up straight but then he realizes something... He was holding you in bridal style, you looks small though in his arms, like a baby deer being held by a human. It seemed he didn't realized his red cheeks and puffed up fur. You tilt your head at him, but you sweat drop at him as you waited to be put down.

"Sonic?"

"Oh yes!"

"Can ya put me down please?"

"S-sure."

   He gently puts you down with a flustered look as you stand up still rubbing the back of your head. Tails walks to you guys.

"I think we should head out now, I'm starting to readings again! It seems we're a bit close to the compass!"

"Alright!"

   Sonic changes quickly as he pumps his fist, you gaped your mouth open. Feeling excited! You couldn't help but your tail did wagged a bit, it went unnoticed by Tails and Sonic.

"Y/n are you ready?"

"Yup."

   You put a thumbs up. You guys all head out standing in the cold air, Tails hops up as he flys up and Sonic jumps grabbing his hand, you stand unsure if you're still capable to fly well. 

"Y/n c'mon!"

   Tails and Sonic say, you flinch a bit and furrow your brow.

"I'll catch up! I'm just warming up a bit."

"Alight."

   Sonic says as him and Tails fly away together.

   You look down as you try to do what you usually do when you try to levitate. You growl as you clenched your hands, feeling a spark up power flowing through you then, nothing! 

"Huh?"

   You suddenly feel nothing, no levitating, no nothing,... You tremble not by the cold but by thoughts.

'Why am I not flying? Am I weak now? D-did I suddenly lose my powers? What would the others think of me now? Am I useless now–'

"Oh child quit your bickering."

"Eh?"

   You jump by that voice.

"Chill out you're not losing your powers, since they're upgraded you have another way to do things."

"So how do I fly?"

"Just relax your muscles and feel like a leaf in the wind, you fly by how you feel, like who you fell asleep! You must've had a good dream huh?"

   You thought about your dream,... Do you even dream? You don't even remember how you slept. You stood there with thoughts again hearing a sigh in your head.

"Hun, just think of falling in a deep, deep hole."

   A different voice appears in your head, you perk up at that idea. You take a stand and close your eyes as you filled your head an image, of you falling, and falling into a deep hole.

   You open your eyes slowly to see you. FLOATING!!

   You couldn't help but smile happily as you feel the cool breeze through your quills, you start to fly a bit faster to Sonic and Tails as you try to hear out for them.

"Tails? Sonic!"

"Y/n! Over here!"

   You look at the direction feeling relieved that they didn't go too far, you fly over towards them happily but you didn't show it. They both smile at you as you stopped sharply and float slowly.

"Seems like you got your powers controlled again!"

"Hehe, yeah."

   You slightly laughed, they both became shocked as you turn away from what you did feeling embarrassed.

"Y/n you laughed!"

"Well more like a giggle but still! We've never heard you laugh so far together."

   Sonic seemed to feel a bit flustered as his cheeks start to get red again. You lower your ears down as you muttered.

"Yeah,..."

"You should laugh sometime again! It's nice hearing you laugh."

   Tails chimes up as you look at him,... That smile and grin.... Made you feel warmth and familiarity to it as you relax, you nodded.

"Y- yeah, we should continue now."

"Right!"

   You guys all fly on top of the snowy mountains, you looked down and around the landscape, it seemed this world had manny elements here! Which amazed you and made you more excited. Sonic whoops as he cheers out.

"Today's forecast calls for clear, sunny skies! And a 100% chance of adventure!"

"I pinpointed the coordinates, it's right up ahead."

   Tails pointed out, you float a little closer to them as you take in the view ahead, a huge mountain peek put Sonic in awe as he gasps.

"Woah."

   You guys fly to the side of it feeling the harsh cold breeze hit you through, you shivered by it but continued on. Y'all landed inside a cave opening, you land down gracefully and carefully to not slip by the ice. You walk in behind Sonic who fastens up behind Tails.

"Hey Tails, wait up!"

   You stopped and looked at an, owl door? 

"An owl door?"

"Okay we got a giant owl door, seems encouraging."

   You jump down with them and walked up to it. You stop by soft murmuring voices, your ears perk up as you look to the side, you scrunch your nose up in suspicion at a dark cave to the side, then the whispers and voices made you shiver more,.... But you stiffen when they slowly got louder and louder—

"Hey Y/n, come on."

   You quickly snap out of it and look at Sonic who stood by the door opening. 

"C-coming."

   You speed walk over to him, he offers a hand and you took it as he guides you in. When you were in he smiles at you and you muttered a 'Thanks'. You guys entered a cold room with carvings and symbols. You stood unsure if you want to continue in because this place screams "Bad room, bad things". 

   You flinch by whispers on the side, then another set of whispers appeared, you clench your fur chest in fear as the whispers start getting louder, slowly as you tremble a bit and shutting your eyes. You whimpered quietly as the whispers get loud, to the point you feel like they're everywhere.... You cover your ears in hopes they'll go away. Gosh you feel like cowering in a blanket now, or curling up into a ball cause this is scary as fuck... 

    Because imagine hearing whisper in a cold cave with carvings and symbols in it....

   You then felt warmth, you snap open your eyes to see Sonic's worried look, he had his hands on yours and slowly pulled them down.

"Y/n are you okay? You seem scared,..."

"I-... Yes I am just creeped out by this."

"I understand."

   He smiles softly and pulls your hand into his as you both walk to Tails who looks at you guys.

"Don't worry you're safe! We're here with ya alright?"

Oh,....

It seems like this blue boy made you blush.

   Your eyes widen feeling heat on your cheeks, he was smiling softly at you that's all, but his words made you feel safe. You close your mouth and nod letting him drag you away,... You admire his warmth that his hand had, made you feel fuzzy and humble. Your eyes still didn't leave him or his hand, the locked with fingers made you feel another familiar feeling.

   You lower eyes a bit as you take a breathe, then look at Tails.

   Sonic and Tails all look in awe of the wall with carvings.

"Woah, check this out."

"Can you translate that?"

   Sonic looks at Tails.

"Uhh, yeah."

   Tails brings out his device.

"Ages ago, a fearsome group of warriors known as the echidnas, forged the seven chaos emeralds into the most unstoppable weapon ever created."

"The master emerald..."

   Sonic pipes in as he looks back at the carvings.

"With it, a single warrior could defeat entire armies. Believing no one should have such power, an order of heroes recovered the emerald and swore to protect it from evil... Sound like the owls and echidnas have been fighting each other for centuries."

"Like Din Diesel and the Rock."

  Sonic commented, before they head out further he stops looking at another wall.

"Hey look another carving!"

   Sonic points out, Tails stops and looks at it to see the spirit stars,...

"The spirit stars. And the soulful Moons!"

"Soulful Moons?"

"They're a tribe that has been extinct for centuries that they're considered a myth, why would their symbols be here?"

   Tails questions as he looks up at them, Sonic shrugs.

"Translate that, maybe it's important too."

"Right,... Long ago in a world full of darkness with no light nor sun shined upon it, a tribe called the Soulful Moons came to the planet with the master emerald, they used the emeralds power to bring light in the world creating their own planet to live on. When they came in alliance with the echidnas, they were betrayed by them and they set their world up into ashes and darkness."

"Dang, that's terrible..."

   Sonic ears pins down as he feels sadden by this.

"Soulful Moons were killed on that night, only some survived and moved to another planet where they seek shelter. But one night the chief of the village heard cry's in the sky of stars telling him the location of one of the echidna tribe. The chief gathered an army and set them out, it took the echidnas by surprised but they won the fight.... The stars were later called spirit stars because they believe it was the voices of the dead who died in the ashes of their old planet..."

"Woah the echidnas do know how to make enemies."

   Sonic says wanting to grin but he held it in trying to not look rude. Sonic ears shift to the back hearing small whimpers. 

"Later the Soulful Moons and owls made an alliance, with the help of the Soulful moons they tracked where the master emerald was held at and took the echidnas down once again. They stayed as Allie's but then one night, when the moons became one, the Soulful Moons disappeared...."

   After Tails finished Sonic turns around seeing you holding your ears down as you tremble. Sonic become worried seeing you like this, it broke his heart and he held the urge to run over and hug you as he comforts you in his arms– what is he thinking!?

'I got a friend to comfort!'

    As much as the word 'friend' hurt him he still walks over to comfort you.

Sonic's nervous af 🤭💞

    Here you are close to Sonic still holding his hand for comfort. You both run towards Tails who was ahead.

"Woah wait for us!"

   You guys entered another with a big owl statue in the center of it, you tighten your grip on Sonic's hand as you guys further walked in.

"Okay, giant owl door, giant owl, makes sense."

Tails looks up in amazement, you and Sonic walk up to the statue then he paused looking down at some symbols underneath it. You tilt your head to the side as Sonic lets go of your hand to grab the map.

"Wait a second, I've seen these symbols before."

   He opens the map looking up and down at them both. Sonic walks to the symbols.

"Here we go."

He starts turning them one by one, Tails walks besides you then suddenly a small spark of power flows through you! You jump and use your arm as a shield in front of Tails protective, he jumps too and goes behind you.

   The symbols glow into a green color, the owls eyes glowed green too as the whole room started crumbling.

"Well that did something."

   Sonic walks back as the owl statue spreads its wings. You start to panic by the room rumbling but then the owls started to scan you guys? You shut your eyes by the light squinting when it fades away.

   Then the owl gives Sonic something, the compass! Suddenly the owls gives out something too, a small crystal spark shape floats down to you, the whole room changes into a light blue, you reach your hand slowly to it grabbing ahold of it, you felt a shock through your hand when you barely touched it.

   You gaze at it on your palm, Sonic and Tails also perked up.

"A crystal?"

"I don't know,..."

   You muttered, you place the spark the back of your quills. Sonic looks back at the compass and tosses it up the it starts to float.

"Woah, the compass!"

"This will lead us to the emerald!"

"Oohh."

   You guys all watched in awe, it floats down and Sonic grabs it back. Y/n felt a tingle in the back of his neck then look to see a red dot on Tails forehead. 

"Hey, you got a little something on your—,..."

   Suddenly more pop up, you hitched your breathing in fear of who it is...

"Oh no. Tails, Y/n get back!"

   Sonic pulls your arm near Tails as he stood there protectively. White drones surround you guys pointing red lasers at guys, you slightly growled and gritted your teeth as you stood in front of Tails.

"Run!"

   You guys all ran away, but it was cut off by a explosion in front. You slide to stop and wobble your arms to gain balance. 

   You look up at the opening to see a huge bot that looks liked an egg but you no attention as you stared deeply at Knuckles.

   Eggman started howling in rhythm. You furrow your brows at him.

"Ugh, that guy again?"

"Heads up my little stalagmites! Someone call an Uber?"

"What's that?"

   You soften a bit as you tilt your head, Knuckles almost went soft with your adorable-self but he remembers why he's here and what he has to do. He grits his teeth trying to ignore the warm feeling on his cheeks. Then he realizes something different about you.—

'Did his fur gotten lighter?'

"Hey, thanks for doing all the hard stuff!"

   Knuckles jumps off and slides down off the statue and slams down to the ground, you look in surprised in almost in awe of the move, but you stiffen when he glares down at you.

"But we'll take it from here."

   Knuckles answers with a gruff voice as he stands up, you shivered by it to the core.

"Okay, we really gotta talk about your new look, it's like professor X meets the Monopoly man. And what kind of genius shows up in Siberia in a convertible?"

   Sonic says, you stand there with a 'are you serious?' look think'n if it was really necessary to make a joke right now.

"The kind of genius that can turn up the heat..." puts on his goggles "–with a flick of a switch.".

   Your eyes widen seeing two missile launchers heading towards Sonic, he ran up at them grabbing one and throwing it to Knuckles who dodges and it hits the owl statue. The second one was about to him but you clenched your fist using your power to move the missile.

   The missile stops and it turns the other way around and hits one of the drones causing another explosion. The whole room shakes and crumbles as you wobble, you hear a grunt and look at Knuckles who's almost buried by rumbles, you and his eyes met as you frown at him. 

   He flinches but he starts to feel more weight of the rumble on him. Eggman laughs in delight as he holds on his vehicle.

"HAHAHA GOOD ONE! I'm sure that wasn't important!"

   You moved to the side, well more like jumping away from the falling owl as more rumbles fall down and the whole cave starts to crumble. Before you run to Tails and Sonic's side you hear the crystal fall out making a 'ding' sound.

"The crystal!"

   With panic you run back and fumble around to grab it, seeing it still shine in your grasp when you found it, you sighed in relief, you look behind you to see three drones come'n at you. You stand up and furrow your brows as an electric shock runs through you, you put the crystal in your quills again and making sure it's in there deep.

   This, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲...
