"hyuck..." dahye pulled the sleeve of his twin.

donghyuck slowed down so that he could walk beside his sister, "what is it?" he asked. "and why are you whispering?"

"her," dahye pointed at the girl with renjun using her lips. "who is she? and did jaemin invite her?"

the older threw a look at his sister, "are you jealous?"

dahye could only sigh, "nevermind i asked."

"that was a serious question." donghyuck rolled his eyes, "hey, why don't—" his eyes travelled around to find jaemin. "jaemin-ah, dahye and i need to go somewhere!"

meanwhile, dahye was only looking at donghyuck. because as far as she could remember, they don't have to go somewhere. she couldn't remember their mom telling them to go and get her something.

when jaemin agreed, donghyuck immediately pulled her sister out of the scene and went to the second floor. and for the second time that day, dahye missed the confused look on renjun's face.

"what was that for?" dahye frowned. "now i won't be able to know who that girl is—"

"that girl's name is hana." donghyuck said. "and i dragged you here because i won't let you break down in front of everyone else." he said and dragged her inside the ice cream parlor where they used to eat at when they were kids.

"stay here, i'll order." donghyuck said.

the girl could only sigh. her twin could really be confusing when they're not fighting.

a couple of minutes later, donghyuck came back with two bowls of ice cream, a vanilla-flavored one, and a chocolate chip-flavored one.

"now talk." donghyuck said. "or i'll make you pay for these two."

dahye could only frown. "as if you'd let me pay. you never did that." she muttered. "what do you want me to say anyways?"

"you're not yourself today. you'd usually joke around and maybe pull some pranks with me or chenle or jisung but today you're unusually quiet." he said and ate his ice cream. "did you know that renjun was asking me if something was up?"

dahye looked at his brother instantly. "what?"

"now you're reacting," donghyuck scoffed. "what i said was true, i never lied to you." he said and continued eating. "he asked me if you were sick."

"i don't get sick easily, he knows that." she frowned. "you all know that."

he sighed, "i know. but he's your friend too, you know." donghyuck finished his bowl of ice cream, and dahye did the same too. "come on, let's get these things out of your mind for now."

"thank you. i don't know what i would do without you, dongdong."

"i'm always here for you, dada."
