Class 1: Soobins'Homeroom

Ms. Ji, the teaching assistant of Mr. Kim Rowoon, who was summoned to the office was distributing gifts to the Class 1 students, which made them very thrilled. Each student was given a large bouquet and a gift bag filled with items such as stationery, a water bottle, a little fan for really hot days, a soft blanket, and a box of Korean candies as welcome presents.

Having been a member of the second generation of K-pop icons, Mr. Kim chose to marry to pursue his second dream of being a teacher and coach of theatre theory. The students erupted with joy and thought he was their new favourite teacher. His assistant instructed Mina, the recently appointed drama class monitor, to distribute the schedules as she did roll calls.

Ms. Ji looked around the hyped-up class; they were so enthralled by the unexpected gifts that some of them missed answering the roll call. Seugi's signature loud voice shouted from the back of the class while adjusting her pink miniature fan in front of her. Her nut-brown waving hair was blowing gently from the strong air.

Everyone, even Soobin, who was sitting near the window in the rear, furrowed their brows. Dahyuns' name appeared on the Homeroom registration at the auditorium notice board, and he just realized he was missing someone in class. There was no way he could have been wrong. To his surprise, he was a little nervous and felt a little guilty about what had transpired the previous semester.

Although he wasn't intending to be disrespectful to Dahyun, he was also exhausted and irritated, which doesn't give him the right to treat the girl that way. His humiliation of the girl who constantly fangirls about him disappointed even his band members.

Even though Dahyun was a very pretty girl who was the complete opposite of him, he knew that she had liked him since middle school and he was unsure of how to express his lack of interest in her.

Since high school, Dahyun has been his deskmate, and he couldn't understand why it was always her. However, he guessed that she always managed to secure a seat next to him or close by in class by using her charm.

She always seemed kind to him as she offered him little gifts like candies or snacks, assisted him with his class monitor responsibilities, and constantly complimented him. Even though he was usually courteous and kind to her, her constant love confessions began to annoy him especially when he suddenly developed a crush on Eunbin, a new transfer student in Class 2. Who even reciprocated his feelings.

But once he made his debut, his mental health completely plummeted due to their tour and rigid performance and appearance schedules. He enjoyed the fame and attention, but it had a price.

They were also referred to by the media as the "little brothers" of the world's biggest boyband, Bangtan which made them get so much hate and jealousy from antis. And the pressure as a TXT leader and juggling his school also placed stress on him.

After he rejected Dahyun last summer at the camp, she avoided him like the plague. She even switched deskmates and avoided eye contact with him afterwards, however, she did offer a quick apology for bothering him with her confession as she didn't know he was officially dating Park Eunbin. She also told him that she would never bother him again and she stood by her word.

Since then, he has experienced an odd emptiness in his heart, and occasionally, without realizing it, his eyes would look for her.

He was lying with his head on his cool desk when he heard Dahyun's name being called but no one answered, so he furrowed his brows and glanced around the bustling classroom.

"Ma ám she went to the principal's office---" was Seulgi's quick reply. Ms Ji looked conflicted concerned by the absence of a student.

When Seulgi felt a finger touch her back, it was Eunbin, who appeared oddly worried. Even Soobin watched intently to Seulgi's reaction, but she only rolled her eyes and offered a forceful smile.

"Yes Eunbin?" she briefly looked at the couple that sat together.

"Er...Seulgi is Dahyun okay?" asked Eunbin, clearing her throat in a low voice. She discreetly looked at her boyfriend with raised eyebrows.

Seulgi snorted, still irritated by the pair who mocked Dahyun's embarrassment. "Why do you care?" she said, giving them a deadpan expression. Her gaze shifted to Soobin, who bit his lip with a calculated frown on his handsome face.

Eunbin just nodded and continued, in a tense voice, "We're just curious if something happened to her; we saw her a while ago, so I'm just concerned. We are classmates, and we should take care of one another."

Seulgi snickered and rolled her eyes at the obvious lies; she knew Eunbin was seeking more reasons to gossip about the girl who adores her guy as if Dahyun would cause issues in the relationship.

" Eunbin, you are very obvious in your intentions. You weren't concerned when you hurt my friend...just because---" she looked at Soobin with distaste,"--she confessed her fragile feelings to a first-class jerk," she gave Soobin one stinky look and turned her back on them and blatantly ignored the quiet couple who just looked at each other with a little guilt and remorse.

Eunbin realized she had made things difficult for the sensitive Dahyun by spreading rumours about Dahyun's alleged obsessive behaviour toward her boyfriend.

Soobin was just shaking his head and gestured for Eunbin not to aggravate Seulgi. Ms Ji summoned Seulgi to the front to collect Dahyun's present. Not realizing there would be a change in the homeroom enrollment.

Soobin couldn't understand why he felt a strange tug on his heart whenever he thought of Dahyun. The girl who had been madly in love with him for over four years but had recently come to secretly resent him and practically avoid him after the camp and funeral of one of their peers.

That revelation sent unpleasant shivers down his spine. Eunbin furrowed her brow as she heard a faint sigh escape his lips. She worries about how Soobin is managing now that he would have to face Dahyun in class for the rest of the year.

Class 2

The atmosphere in Class 2 was stimulating as students excitedly recalled the last summer and the tragedy that the entire school is still talking about. Luna and Chaeyoung sat together, while Ms Shim was busy arranging the schedules for each pupil.

The classroom was enveloped in a calming atmosphere. The girls at the door were gossiping about the Leaders' camp, which was quite interesting. Chaeyoung pinched her brow in irritation as she heard Dahyuns' name-dropped.

"When will you guys stop gossiping about that? Gosh, so Yesterday's news---"

One girl, with her bob-styled black hair and lovely bangs, turned around and muttered, "Well, everyone is talking about how Dahyun embarrassed herself. How stupid can you get to confess to a guy that doesn't even like you like that? Did she think that a very cute debuted idol would even look at her...please!"

She mockingly looked at Chaeyoung enjoying the attention.

Her friends around started to snicker.

Chaeyoung narrowed her brows," Haerin, there is nothing wrong with exposing your affections to a guy. You for instance had an unhealthy crush on the senior San last year. He was way out of your league, and he is also a debut idol. Everyone knows you gave him those anonymous pink love notes, which he tossed away whenever he read them." Chaeyoung snickered in her fists as stillness surrounded the group.

Haerin sharply breathed fast, "That is not your business, Chaeyoung. We were talking about Dahyun, and we did not offend your pal, ugh!" However, she still appeared ashamed that everyone knew about her tender notes.

Chaeyoung folded her arms around her chest, "Seriously, you guys already spoke badly about her behind her back. At least she had the guts to confess, then you that hid behind stupid pink letters...even Sans's friend laughed behind your back telling everyone your hangul is dismal. And you needed Korean lessons in writing." Chaeyoung smirked at Haerin's wide-eyed stare which was almost blowing a gasket. Chaeyoung just smirked smugly.

Her friend put a comforting touch on her shoulder since she looked like she wanted to fight a smug Chaeyoung.

Luna just smiled sweetly, "Girls, stop fighting; Ms Shim is watching you. What happened to Dahyun was unfortunate, so stop making her feel awful. At least she was braver than most of us-"

Haerin murmurs as she turns to look ahead, "Says the one who stole Yeji's boyfriend..."

Luna pursed her lips firmly. "They had already broken up when he asked me out." She shot the girl an icy glance.

Haerin just snorted." Seriously. The entire school knows you and Yeonjun had feelings for one other and intentionally hurt Yeji---"

Lunas' eyes darken and whisper, "Whatever- "

Ms Shims' voice echoes throughout the room, "Everything okay girls"?" She asked with raised brows as she noticed the girls uncomfortable and fidgeting after being called out by the teacher.

Haerin just smiled and nodded.

Chaeyoung smiled brightly at the teacher, and lifted her hand, "Ma'am, do you need help distributing the schedules?"

Ms Shim smiled, "Oh thank you, Chaeyoung...yes, of course. You can distribute it to the rest of the class. The names are written on top."

Chaeyoung chuckled and jumped up, racing to the teacher's table, taking the stack, and walking around the classroom as she distributed it.

Luna's eyes widened alongside the rest of the class when the principal arrived, accompanied by Dahyun, who was grinning dazzlingly. Ms Shim's eyes were fixed on her school director and a smiling Dahyun. The students seemed perplexed.

How did Dahyun manage to move to another class in her final year? It was never permitted until under extraordinary circumstances. But they all know the determined girl, when she wants something she usually gets it.

Ms Shim bowed deeply, "Good morning Sir---:

The principal returned the greeting and pointed to Dahyun, who appeared calm. Chaeyoung's jaw dropped wide when she watched Dahyun wink at her.

No way! Dahyun will be in their class. Dahyun had her new class schedule in hand. The entire class was amazed at her flushed porcelain skin.

The principal grinned, "Ms Shim, Dahyun will be in class 2 from now on because the majority of the instrumental class is in Class 2. She was the only one who studied music as a major. It was either class 2 or 4. Please welcome her to your class; her schedule is all setup."

He grinned down at Dahyun, who looked satisfied. Ms Shim nodded warmly, looking at a pleased Dahyun and said, "Welcome, dear. I hope you will enjoy the class."

Dahyun thanked the teacher for showing her an available seat in the center of the class, next to a cute guy. Ms Shim smiled, "Dahyun, make yourself at home next to Ju-won."The boy in question raises his hands, indicating where she must come and sit.

Dahyun grinned faintly at his flushed cheeks. Dahyun smirks and rushes towards him, oblivious to the humming under the student's breath.

They were discussing Dahyun's presence and were surprised by how confident she appeared in front of the principal. Dahyun headed to her new seat, giving Chaeyoung a high five on the way. She waved cheerfully to Luna, who was overjoyed to have her back in their company. The Musketeers are back together.

Dahyun set her book bag down and smiled brightly at the silent boy, reaching out her hand to greet him, "Hey Ju-won, I'm Dahyun. I hope we'll be terrific deskmates---" she added cheerfully.

Dahyun's demeanour changed dramatically once the Principal agreed to transfer her to another class.

Luckily, he contacted Mr. Kim and informed him. Mr. Kim was disappointed that he had lost a pupil but assured her that she would still receive a welcome present from her former classmate.

Ju-won's mouth curled into a soft grin as he shook her hand, and his eyes dilated as he glanced into her beautifully formed eyes. This girl was stunning, with snow-white skin that truly stuck out. She reminded him of those lovely Japanese dolls with her with her rose-red lips.

Dahyun lifted her gaze when she spotted Ju-won's odd expression. Jun-won noticed her curious gaze and hastily let go of her hand. His cheeks flushed crimson. Clearing his throat quietly, he nodded, "Pleased to meet you, Dahyun; don't worry. I'll take care of you...er, if you need any academic assistance. I am very good at English."

Dahyun grinned broadly, "Thanks Ju -Won you so sweet---"

Dahyun smiled into Ju-won's lovely eyes. She already views him as a potential friend. Luna and Chaeyoung sat far in front, so she wouldn't be able to have open chats with them.

But that wasn't their final seating arrangement, so she hoped she'd still have Ju-won as a deskmate, although closer to her friends. After the principal left and the class had calmed down and chatted softly, the door reopened, and the new head boy entered carrying a folder.

Choi Soobin.

The sudden eager whispering from the class females would lead you to believe the president had entered. Soobin greeted the teacher politely, who sat with a broad smile staring at her favourite pupil.

Soobin looked at the class and bowed as some girls and fanboys called out his name.

He waved at the students, and his enticing dimples made the girls swoon. Some even fan themselves at the sight of the stunning idol. But then his eyes caught with the cold ones of Dahyun where she sat straight in the back.

The air surrounding them became dense, and a powerful electric charge passed through them...

Soobin's eyes widened at the sudden unexpected sensation of attraction and a peculiar connection that left him breathless. Still, Dahyun felt deep conflicting emotions racing through her as she locked eyes with the boy who effectively broke her heart into a million shards...
