When a soulmark couple is finally bonded and settled, the final step into lifelong bonding is sealing the bond.  ( intimacy)

Red-gold (who are both red-gold in strings) couples are married in the eyes of the system. They can engage in intimacy, which is legal as they are seen as practically married (by civil law) but legally married (by system standards). Red gold is bonded for life.

No warnings or fines will be issued to the couple. Any offspring that comes from this union without having an official civil wedding will be deemed legitimate.

It is very difficult for a red-gold couple not to seal the bond. Some couples can hold out for a few months, but they will succumb due to the intense nature of the red gold string. When they are away from each other for too long, the red-gold string intensifies, and the sealing of the bond will eventually happen.
