They had brought Mia's body to Tony's lakehouse. It was the only place they knew that wasn't destroyed.

The heroes and vampires alike cried as they stared at her coffin.

Tony held Morgan and Pepper's hands as they placed a small red carnation in Mia's hands. They were her favourite.

Peter walked up next and gently placed a small piece of lego inside. It was from the first set they ever built together.

Then Wanda and Bucky walked up. She gently moved a hair out of Mia's face as Bucky straightened up her black dress, "We love you, doll."

Slowly more and more people did the same until it was just the Mikaelsons left.

They breathed out deeply as they stood around the coffin.

Rebekah's hand slowly came down to her face, her thumb gently moving against Mia's cheek as a tear fell from her eye.

Klaus then moved forward and gently kissed her forehead before letting Kol do the same, "I love you, Mia. In every lifetime," He whispered so quietly his siblings couldn't even hear it. 

Elijah slowly took their place and gently held her hand in his. He glanced at his siblings who nodded at him.

He slipped his hand into his pocket before pulling out a golden moss agate ring. He gently held out her hand and slipped it on her ring finger.

It was the ring they had chosen together five years before.

He smiled slightly before kissing her cheek, "I love you, Elskan."

"Always and forever."

They slowly walked away, moving a few feet away as a man went to close the coffin.

However, before he could lock it shut, something or rather someone pushed the lid up.

A groan could be heard before the door opened fully.

Mia sat up and looked around, "Holy fuck it's bright out. Oh my God, I think I just saw God."

She groaned as she covered her eyes and looked to her left, "Why are you all staring at me like that? And why does my mouth hurt so much?"

Everyone stayed silent as they stared at the girl and watched as she hopped out of the coffin.

She glanced back, "Oh shit was that mine? Oh my god did I die? Was it cool? I wasn't murdered, right? That'd be so embarrassing," She paused, glancing at her soulmates, "No offence."

They were still silent.

Mia glanced around awkwardly, "Um... Yeah, this is really awkward. So I'm just gonna-"

Before she could walk away Kol sped her into his arms. Then Rebekah and Klaus joined. And finally Elijah.

Mia stared at them in confusion before her eyes widened, "Oh my god, I'm dead. Aren't I?"

An hour later they were sitting in Tony's living room.

"Why the hell would you do that?" Tony asked as he sat across from his daughter.

"I wasn't going to let that purple, raison headed, little bitch kill even more people, dad. Besides, I knew I had Klaus's blood in my system."

"That was five years ago, kid."

"Yes, but for me it wasn't even seconds. I was gone one minute and back the next. Time didn't exist, dad. I knew it was a long shot but I was willing to take it. Now, where is my sister?"

She stared around the room. She hadn't seen Natasha since the battle in Wakanda.

"Where is Natasha, dad?"

Tony sighed as he took his daughter's hands in his own, "Mia... Natasha sacrificed her life for the Soul Stone."

Mia shook her head as she stood up, "No. No, that's not true. You're lying. Where is she? I- I need to find her."

"Now, remember– You have to return the stones to the exact moment you got them. Or you're gonna open up a bunch of nasty alternative realities."

Mia, after getting control of her newfound vampirism, and Steve listened to Bruce as they suited in quantum suits.

"Don't worry, Bruce. Clip all the branches."

Bruce glanced down at Mia, "You know, I tried. When I had the gauntlet, the stones, I really tried to bring her back. I miss her, man."

They nodded, "Me, too."

Sam walked over, followed by Bucky and the Mikaelons, "You know, if you want, I can come with the two of you."

"You're a good man, Sam. This one's on us, though."

Steve moved over to Bucky and hugged him while Mia hugged her soulmates, "I'm gonna make everything right again," She whispered as she held them.

They nodded as they kissed her cheek, "We know."

Rebekah grabbed her wrist before she could walk away, "If you don't come back I will find you and I will slap you."

Mia chuckled as she pulled Rebekah in for a quick kiss, "If you slap me it better me on my ass."

She smiled as they all blushed. Giggling, she walked over to the time machine and stood next to Steve.

"You ready, fossil boy?"

He nodded, "Are you, hero?"

She nodded.

Sam stood next to Bruce, "How long is this gonna take?"

"For them? As long as they need it. For us? Five seconds."

Steve picked up Mjolnir as Mia held the case of Infinity Stones in her hand.

"You two ready? Alright. We'll meet you back here, okay?"

"You bet," Steve told them.

"Going quantum. Three, two, one."

The pair then disappeared into time.

Mia and Steve travelled through time, placing each stone back in its rightful place until only the Soul and the Space stone were left.

"Which one do you want to do first?" Mia asked as she and Steve walked away from Doctor Strange's home in New York.

"Space."

Mia nodded as they put in the time coordinates, "Ready?"

He nodded, "In three, two, one-"

Their bodies disappeared before they appeared once more, this time in 1970, New Jersey.

They successfully placed the Space Stone back in the basement before walking out. Steve, however, stopped walking as they passed an office.

Mia glanced back at him before reading the name on the door. Margaret Carter was written in large letters.

"You alright, Steve?"

He nodded, still not moving as he watched the woman write a letter at her desk on the other side of the glass, "I don't know what I want, Mia."

The blonde girl nodded, "It's a hard choice but it's one you have to make. Do you want to stay here, have a life, a family with the woman you loved in the forties or do you want to come back with me, live your life as a hero and marry the man we both know you love?"

She sighed as she pulled him in for a hug, "No one will judge your choice, Steve. Make the one that's right for you."

Mia waited outside on the ship for a few minutes. She wanted to give him time just in case.

After ten minutes had passed she went to close the door only for Steve to walk inside.

She smiled at him, "I hate to sound judgy but you made the right choice."

He chuckled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "You're right. I know you didn't directly say it but I can't stop living in the past. I need to start living in the future."

"And if you did stay with Peggy you'd have technically kissed your granddaughter," She told him, remembering how Steve had kissed Sharon Carter.

Steve frowned, "Yeah. Gross."

She laughed, "I'm sure Bucket boy will be happy to see you back."

"I hope so. Ready for the last one?"

Mia nodded before they both pressed a button before they flew up into the starry abyss.

She smiled as her face was lit up by multiple shades of purple and blue before they landed on the planet Vormir.

They trekked their way up the sandy hills before they reached the very edge.

"Welcome. Mia. Daughter of Luke. Steven. Son of Joseph," A voice spoke from a small, dimly lit cave. 

"Who are you?" Mia asked as she held up her gun while Steve held up the hammer.

"Consider me a guide to you and all who seek the Soul Stone," He answered before coming into the light.

Steve gasped silently, "Red Skull?"

"Wait, you know this guy?" Mia asked before shaking her head, "Alright, deformed tomato, you got me intrigued. How are you flying and can you smell out of that... thing you call a nose? Oh, another question, are you a Voldemort cosplayer by any chance?"

He didn't answer, "What business do you seek?"

"I'd like to make a trade," Mia told him seriously, "A soul for a soul."

Steve glanced down at her, "Are you sure?"

She nodded, "Are you up for it, Voldy? I'm sure the universe wouldn't be very happy if you didn't have your precious rock."

He stayed silent as he floated towards her, "I am not supposed to make such deals, child."

Mia stared up at him, "What deal would you be willing to make then?"

"Like you said, a soul for a soul."

She nodded slowly as she glanced over the edge, "Me for Natasha? You will bring her back?"

"Yes."

Mia glanced at Steve as she held up her sad expression and whispered, "Take care of them for me." 

Steve shook his head, going along with her plan, "Don't do this, Mia. Natasha wouldn't want this." 

The blonde placed her forehead against his as she held his shoulders, both having tears in their eyes as they stared at each other, "I have to," She told him before she jumped off the cliff.

Steve woke up in a lake of shallow water. He glanced around and found Natasha who slowly sat up, groaning as she did so.

He quickly took her in his arms, "Nat..."

"Told you I'd see you in a minute."

Steve glanced around as the water rippled once more before he could hear the sounds of a woman giggling.

"Stupid deformed tomato," He heard Mia say.

Steve grinned as he pulled her in his arms, "You were right."

She grinned as she hugged both Steve and Natasha, "I always am- Except when I'm not... Even then I'm usually partially right."

Natasha smiled at her sister, "How'd you do it?"

"I snapped my neck before I hit the ground. Tricked Mr. No Nose into thinking I actually died from the fall and bada bing bada boom, we're all alive. You can thank me later. Now hug me before I start crying again."

"And returning in, five, four, three, two, one–" They heard Bruce say before they appeared on the time machine once more.

Mia smiled as she stretched her arms, "Man, does time travel always make you this hungry? Ooh, I should see if Tony has any orange slices."

She smiled at the Mikaelsons and led them inside with Natasha while Steve and Bucky stared at each other.

"You came back," Bucky spoke.

"I did."

"I didn't think you would."

Steve smiled slightly, "Mia and I talked and I realized some things."

"Oh yeah? What'd you realize, punk?"

The blonde haired man walked towards Bucky, "This, jerk," He told him before pulling him in for a kiss.

"Yes!" They heard Mia and Peter yell in the distance as the two watched Bucky and Steve kiss.

Mia high fived Peter before going into their very long handshake, "Our ship is sailing!" Peter said excitedly.

She laughed, "Fuck yeah it is."
