𝟝𝟜

My desperation grew to a point where I could barely stand myself. The pain I was feeling at that moment didn't matter to me... Gojo... tears rolled onto the ground.

Sukuna swung his foot again, and I closed my eyes because that was my bitter end. Until suddenly, everything stood still. Despite my closed eyes, I opened one and saw that the space-time continuum had frozen.

What the hell... was it me? No, impossible, I'm not capable of that.

I gathered all the strength within me and tried to sit up. Sukuna's poised strike was frozen, Kenjaku stood frozen, the raven flying above stood still... everything was frozen. It scared me.

A voice spoke from behind, sounding cocky, "Kuku, I'm here."

I turned around cautiously because of the injuries I had everywhere; my right hand almost fell off.

It was a man, but there was something off about him... he wore antique clothing, his hair was strange, and his aura... he was eating an apple while leaning on the well and squatting towards me.

My eyes widened.

I couldn't gauge whether he was an enemy or a friend.

He laughed, "Don't worry, I'm one of the good guys."

My eyes widened, "Who are you?"

He stood up, much taller than me, "They call me Ajin."

I looked confused, "Ajin? What am I supposed to do with your name?"

I struggled to stand up while blood continued to flow, and I grew weaker.

"Did you cause this?"

He took another bite and paced back and forth, looking at the ground, "Yes, you desperately wished for something internally."

My mouth hung open, and I almost stuttered, but my jaw felt broken from Sukuna's blow to my head.

"Are you the same as the one with Gojo?"

He recoiled and defensively raised his hands, "Oh god, no, but I wanted to talk to you about that too."

I fell to my knees as I grew weaker.

He snapped his fingers, "But let me heal you first."

I didn't refuse, and he healed me. The pain was gone...

I stood up, and he was in front of me, looking at me seriously, "I offer you the opportunity to make a pact with me to save him."

I gritted my teeth angrily and grabbed him by the collar, "So I can travel from dimension to dimension and watch him die?!"

He didn't resist; he just looked at me, "Well, to be honest, a certain person is to blame for why you've been dying all this time."

I looked at him questioningly, "Who? My father?"

He shook his head, "Even we spirits are human-like, and the spirit with Gojo is my former girlfriend..."

"What?" My eyes widened, and I let go of his collar, taking a step back.

He straightened his clothing. "We had a fierce argument and parted ways. She can be very dangerous when things don't go her way."

I almost screamed in despair, "Get to the point!"

He sighed, "She singled out Gojo because his heart was also broken, thinking the two would understand each other. But after seeing how far he would go for love to save you, it must have angered her greatly, and she took out her hatred on both of you, meddling in the dimensions."

My mouth hung wide open, and I grew increasingly angry. "Are you serious...? We've become pawns in your whims?"

He spoke softly, looking sadly at the ground. "Without my intervention, you're helpless. Let me help you! Because if she finds out you're trying to save him, she'll come after you too."

My hands clenched into fists, tears streaming down my face, and he was already reaching out his hand.

 I looked at Gojo...

no, he didn't deserve such a terrible end...

I took his hand firmly, determined, and as I did, everything around us lit up... the deal was done.
