𝟛𝟚

I was at the Sumiko estate. It had been two months since I hadn't spent the night there. My father wasn't home. Somehow, it made me a little sad because I wanted to see his reaction.

I'm lying to myself right now—I wanted him to comfort me.

I slapped myself mentally at the thought. Kaya brought me fresh clothes. She looked at me with concern as I put on my shirt.

She hesitated, "Um, Miura... how are you feeling?"

I buttoned up and looked at myself in the mirror.

Shit, I feel terrible.

I looked at her and smiled, "I'm feeling better."

I went over to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

 "Thanks for asking."

She still looked worried. I continued on my way, down the hallway and out into the garden. I glanced briefly at the lotus flowers as I passed. I picked one and held it in my hand. I reached the door and opened it. I collided with a chest. Startled, I looked up with wide eyes. I couldn't tear my gaze away.

I don't know why, but every alarm bell in me was ringing.
My soul was practically screaming, "Run."

I swallowed hard and got goosebumps. I took a step back, feeling confused.

He was about 20 cm taller than me, with blond hair styled to the side, his eyes red like the devil. Despite the weather, he wore a black suit with a red shirt and a coat over it. What's strange is that usually I can sense everyone's presence, but with him, it was as if he had no cursed energy.

But I knew that he was either an excellent deceiver who could fool people or he truly had none and could only intimidate people with his presence. He looked at me and smiled slightly.

His smile was anything but gentle; it was more like "what a brat."

I looked at him seriously and put a foot against the door in case he turned out to be an enemy.

"Who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

One eyebrow went up.

"Mitsugaya, and you're Miura."

I looked surprised and became even more skeptical.

"How do you know my name when I've never seen you here before?"

He noticed my skepticism and laughed slightly with a devilish undertone.

"Your father and I are friends."

Even though I hadn't had much contact with my father, I knew he had never been here. I raised an eyebrow.

"Mitsugaya, I think you're mistaking my father for someone else."

I slammed the door shut, but he put his foot in between. I scoffed. He was strong, and I pushed harder against him, hoping to hurt him. He remained calm.

"I think I need to report to Kiyosaka how you treat guests."

I scoffed mockingly and opened the door again, grabbing him by the collar and forcing him against the wall. He didn't seem to care because his hands were still in his pockets. He looked at me with those red eyes. I looked at him skeptically and pressed harder against him.

"Who-are-you."

He sighed.

"I already told you."

He grinned. "Or are you hard of hearing?"

I heard Gojo's voice, "Miura?"

I looked in his direction and let go of that jerk, turning my body towards him.

"What are you doing here?"

He looked at Mitsugaya and then looked him up and down skeptically.

"Who is this?"

He sounded serious. Suddenly, Mitsugaya's face was next to mine, and I was startled.

"Introduce me to, Gojo Satoru."

He said that sarcastically. Gojo pulled me  directly close to him by the arm, standing in front of me. He held out his arm in front of me.

"Stay away from him."

Mitsugaya laughed amusedly.

"Why are you all so wary of me?"

Gojo furrowed his brows angrily. My father's voice came from behind.

"The Gojo clan should have nothing to do with this."

I turned to him, but Gojo didn't even acknowledge him. My father, in a kimono, stood there with his men behind him. He stopped in front of the door and looked at us. His gaze shifted to me as I stood protectively behind Gojo.

"Miura, what does this mean?"

I looked seriously at my father.

"This guy claims to know you, but he seemed too suspicious to me."

He shook his head irritably.

 "No, he's an important guest."

 I looked surprised.

They did indeed have a connection.

He looked at Gojo.

"Don't you want to disappear from the estate, or do you want the conflict between our clans to become more precarious?"

I stood in front of Gojo defiantly.

"No, he's my guest and a significant friend of mine."

My father's eyes widened in shock.

"Miura!"

Mitsugaya laughed again.

"Looks like someone has lost control over their daughter."

 I looked at him annoyed.

"For someone who isn't part of the family, you talk a lot."

He gave me one last look and walked past my father into the house. I took Gojo's hand, and we turned and walked away.

Gojo chuckled lightly and stopped, which prompted me to stop as well. I didn't look in his direction.

"Since when am I such a significant friend, Miura?" he asked seductive.

I blushed and cleared my throat, looking around dumbly.

"Well, I had to come up with an excuse!"

He approached me from behind and wrapped both arms around my waist. I got goosebumps, and my heart dropped into my stomach. My face flushed red, and he leaned in with his mouth near my ear.

"Who's blushing here?"

It tickled.

THIS IS GETTING TOO MUCH. If I don't stop now, I might fall for him.

I pulled away from him and swallowed hard. He chuckled amusedly, and I noticed how handsome he was.

He put an arm around me, and we continued walking.

He chuckled, "We better go see Geto now before we do something improper!"

My face turned completely red at the thought of what we could have done, and I swatted him, "Idiot!"

He laughed.

(What Miura was thinking 👀💕)
