C H 2 : If Only

** Third Person's P.O.V **

He just doesn't want to admit it.

I might never be your hero.

Asriel buckles up his seatbelt, stepping on the gas peddle with force then driving off to their destination. Their target for this mission was a gang who are very notorious for robbing the most expensive and precious materials on the surface. They would search every nook and cranny of the shop and milk them dry of every piece of valuables they have on display, off or on the shelf—there is no limit here.

It's too hard to catch nor land a single hit on a member. It was quite difficult, even if it were to be the greatest or the grandest mafia in this town, none ever prevailed with such crooked master minds. Police who've dealt with them before always never succeeded in capturing, they've never been able to recover the stolen jewelry they have stolen in the past and has never been recovered to this day.

Some say that they have stored it away in a valult with complex machinery in which no one could think would do to hide such valuables. Some say that they sold the valuables with such price that it could be rumoured to amplify more than double it was originally priced for.

Some even say that they wear the most luxurious, the most valuable and exquisite jewelry they stole for show, there are so many assumptions about the stolen objects yet they are not proven.

Leaving it at that, they soon found themselves in traffic. It turns out apparently that a car accident has happened in the middle of the road. A douche bag reached the road limit meant to be driven in a high way and ended up T-boning an unsuspecting car that was passing by.

Police speculated that he was drunk hence why he was driving pretty fast on an intersection and that there were not too many cars around the time this happened which made the douche drive over the speed limit. How did they get that information? Well, theres a lot to know.

Knowing that this would absolutely water their time, they took a detour out of the road and went another way to the said gang's base. The said base is somewhere out of town, hidden down under neath an empty bunker that has never been used for years since the human and monster war.

Pressing the tabs on the exact location of the base, one of the nearest bunkers outside of town were just a few kilometers away from which lead to an unfamiliar road that has lead many to believe that ghosts roam around in the highways at night, waiting for their next victims.

Of course, this is entirely not true for, one. Monsters existed before this road was even built for a project but was abandoned because of the war and not many know that, so this place just became a bedside horror story that parents tell to their children at night.

Soon, they've reached the bunker after a staggering 30-ish minute drive. Asriel was getting impatient and wanted to get this over with, and that's how they got here.

As they parked somewhere close by, they could see a lot of weaponry where you could see take place in a war.

There were a bunch of metal wires on the ground, lots of active missiles, really old and used shotguns. They could see a small little dug a pit, burnt up logs, a some tents, a few bags that have been raided at some point.

Some uncovered loot and a lot of unused stuff that would probably go to waste if you don't use them, it explains why this place is a good place for crooks and gangs because of the useful stuff for defenses.

By the looks of it, it just looks like a total war zone. Even for a small bunker too, but they really need to find the REAL bunker.

Rumours don't say much but fake lies but they ended up finding the entrance to the bunker, which also entirely debunking the rumour where the bunker's entrance was originally told to be.

Asriel first climbed the ladder down, along with Sans. They went down slowly, not wanting to make any noise. This is not the most epic base infiltration, but they just needed to get rid of the gang and that's all that matters.

In addition to that, the police are looking around for recruits to help them get rid of the said gang but it seems like they are quite too delayed to even try at this point. It's just taking too long and frustrating.

Soon, they reached the bottom, in front of them is a door where it has a huge doorknob that you twist with both hands. Getting that out of the way, they slowly let themselves through without making any noise.

“Are you ready?” Asriel whispers to Sans, Sans then nods his head in confirmation.

They then proceeded to attach a handful of grenades all over the walls, the rooms and even the bathroom. With that out of the way, they then break into the security system of their rumoured vault without activating the security system that the gang installed when they were gone.

“Wow, whoever they are. They need to up their game with their security, it's way too old school. I mean, come on. A laser? That's not gonna fool us.” Asriel mutters under his breath with Sans laughing behind him.

“Yeah, anyone could break in at any moment now. ANYONE can break and steal all of their loot.” Sans points out, placing a little contraption over their little hand scanner. The said contraption then hacks into the system, collecting the information and gather whatever was needed to open this vault.

The hand scanner then opens up files and documents, an image popping up as a hologram. Scanning the hologram, the vault immediately opens.

“Wow, I guess they were never really that old school. Look at that tech for a hand scanner.” Asriel was beyond amazed by the technology, it's just a simple hand scanner and it looks so high tech and it works like it's high tech.

Stepping into the vault felt like you are the richest man in the world. There were so much valuables and precious jewels galore.

“Dang. I guess they never really sold this for a really questionable price. I guess some items are missing but we'll know once the police eventually catches them.” Rolling up their sleeves, they began to load them up into bags, some of them are inside boxes because of their height and weight. The smallest ones are thrown inside a bag.

With the use of Sans's power, with a snap of a finger, the items disappear and should be somewhere back in the mansion for some inspection before they give it back. With this skill, this makes Sans powerfully inevitable.

Once they raided and looted the whole place, they decided to make the whole place look like they were REALLY raided.

Breaking the most expensive vases, ripping up the silk couches, breaking their TV, destroying the walls and activating the grenades after the successful raid.

Watching it all explode from afar was more than just satisfying. Knowing that they prevailed, hands were connected in the air as they celebrated with a high-five.

“That was much easier than I thought it would.”

“I guess you'll never know.”

Back at the mansion, “Good work, boys. Now, get some rest, you'll have another mission to go to the next day after. be sure to train hard for tomorrow because this one would take you down in less than a minute.” Gaster exclaims, soon leaving the boys to their own devices.

“I'm sleeping. Good luck to that.” Asriel yawns, sleepiness evident in his tone. Sans couldn't agree more and needed some sleep too.

Walking up to the stairs and into his room, he goes out of his balconu to get some fresh air. All that mission stuff was pretty punch tiring and he couldn't need more sleep but it doesn't seem like his mind is up to it now because of a certain person.

Going into mission like that always reminded him of her. The first mission he had with her, the first time meeting her too.

Back when they were children.
