"Bitch I cannot believe you failed to mention you got a feature from Bryson Tiller" Dessi squealed as she cut into her pancakes . It was currently two in the morning and the two of them were sitting in Justice's living room listening to the two newer songs she finished yesterday. Dessi got back into town a few hours ago and decided to spend her entire night with her Best Friend.

"I know it was honestly a surprise my dad set the whole connection up a few days ago, and I talked on Facetime with Bryson kind of giving him the background to my lyrics. A day later he just sent his part over with no problem" Justice took her phone off of DND and groaned at the amount of notifications she had.

Justice then opened her Instagram app and went live. She propped her phone up against the jar that sat on the counter. Despite it being late at night many people joined her live and immediately started asking questions mainly about when she would drop another song "Hold on yall ima let yall hear a snippet just so yall can leave me alone" She walked away from the phone and went to get her food and Ipad. Once she came back into the camera she seen Durk was now watching the live. The comments started to flood with his name and hearts.

"Don't piss me off yall" She looked away from the phone and pressed play on the file letting the speaker play her song "Playing Games". She only let them hear the first verse and beginning of the chorus before quickly turning it off. "What yall think?" She asked looking into the camera as she took a bite out of her turkey bacon.

Laughing at the comments Justice moved back some "Okay girl, I'll be there real soon and nope you should've recorded it when I first played it. I promise it'll be released sooner than yall think" she seen a request pop up on her screen and shook her head. "Yall want me to add my Bestfrien- My bad my second Best friend to this live?"

She looked back at Dessi who was now mugging her "That's what we on now Justice? Yall Im gone for one month and she done found another Best Friend" She yelled from the background. Justice bit her bottom lip and accepted the request watching as Durk's face appeared on the bottom half of the screen. "Bestie!!!" She smiled.

He smacked his lips "She on this bitch lying to yall ass"

She scrunched her face up and then pointed a the camera "You gone be my Bestie or get the fuck out that's yo ultimatum"

He pulled his hoodie down more and looked away from the camera, she could tell he was in the car. "Yea iight, You know what it is" he said with a smirk on his face.

"Yall he always smirking ima call him Smurkio" Justice laughed and finished her bacon before putting the top back on to the to-go container. She looked at the viewer numbers constantly going up and then she backed away from the camera "Oh Nooo. That's too many people okay ima catch yall later" She quickly ended the live and called Durk.  "What's wrong with you?" She asked as soon as the call connected.

"Nun, shit I'm missin' you. Where you at?" He spoke out loud since the phone was on speaker. Justice glanced back at Dessi who had a irritated look on her face but she didn't pay it any mind.

"I miss you too and I'm at home. I would tell you to come over but I'm chilling with Dessire and plus my parents are coming into town early tomorrow" she leaned on the counter waiting on his response while she heard shuffling on his end.

"Ima still see you tomorrow when you get off tho right?" She put her head down and smiled. Justice loved the fact that he wanted to spend so much time with her.

"Yea I will see" She opened her "Find My" app and looked at Zoey's location seeing that she wasn't at home and was on the expressway she exhaled. "Wah Now?" she said to herself

"Whats wrong?" Dessi and Durk asked at the same time.

"Nothing it's just Zoey. Let me call her and make sure she's fine" She hung up swiftly after he said bye and she went to Zoey's contact pressing the call logo and waiting a few rings before hanging up and trying again. "Of course she doesn't answer" Justice sat the phone down and turned to Dessi "Why are you looking like that?" she questioned her.

"Like what?" Dessi looked up from her phone acting confused.

"You had a look of irritation on your face when I was on the phone. Is everything okay?" Justice kept eye contact with Dessi who quickly nodded her head. "Yeah I'm just thinking about my parents the shit is so hard trying to take care of both of them and being the only child doesn't help" She was telling the truth about her parents but in the moment Dessi really felt some way that she was witnessing her Best Friend fall in love with Durk and not her instead.

"I mean you know I love your Mom and Dad let me know if they ever need anything don't stress yourself out" Justice went over to her giving her a hug. Dessi embraced the hug and really took in Justice's sweet smell. Dessi masked up her feelings for Justice all the time and they both shrugged their little moment they had together as just an experience.

"Come on , I need to go lay down I have to work tomorrow" Justice grabbed her friend's hand pulling her to the bedroom so they could change and watch tv together until they fell asleep. Justice stripped down to her undergarments something she always did since she was super comfortable with Dessi. Dessi did the same and climbed into bed next to her watching her out the corner of her eye as Justice's focus was on the television looking for a show to watch.

Once Justice found something to watch she grabbed Dessi's arm she unintentionally pulled their bodies closer. She was so used to having Durk next to her when she went to sleep so this was the best for the night.

The Next Day

Justice Yawned as she stood up from her desk. With Dearra not working at the office anymore Chris and Justice were working over time along with two of the part-time workers. "I need to get a massage asap" she looked down at her apple watch looking at the message from Durk telling her that he was outside.

After grabbing her purse she turned to Chris as he agreed "Let's go tomorrow once we're done with class". Justice nodded at the sound of that plan and said her goodbyes to him and the other people she knew up front before heading out the front door.

Once she felt the cold air hit she picked up her pace making her way to the car. She yawned once again as she got in and looked over at Durk who was on the phone with someone.As he pulled off she leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes as he continued his conversation until she heard him say "She's Beautiful" Justice popped her eyes opened and side eyed him as she listened closely.

He glanced over at her and then back at the road "Yeah she can sing too Ion know why she be tryna act all shy and shit". Justice now had her eyebrows furrowed as she continued listening to him as he was obviously talking about her. She grabbed his hand and moved the phone from his ear only to see that the contact name said "Ma".

She let his hand go and he smiled at her as he put the phone back up to his ear laughing at whatever his mom just said. "Real she different, so different"

Justice looked away feeling her cheeks turn red. Something about Durk just made her feel so special. Durk wrapped up his call with his mom and turned to Justice "You got sum' to change into at my crib?"

"Like dress up clothes?" She looked over him being suspicious of what he was trying to do. He nodded and Justice thought to herself if she had something nice at his house since she usually brought her work clothes and casual clothes over. "Hmm, I think I have something"

Once the two made it back to his house they showered and now Justice was standing in the mirror running her hands down the front of her Tuscan Tan bodycon dress. Thankfully she had her tan Louboutin's at his house because they matched the dress perfectly. She accepted the look and tilted her head down some as she put on  two of her Van Clef bracelet's she got herself for Christmas.

Justice felt Durk's presence behind her as she kept her head down looking at her bracelet. He moved her straightened hair to one side and placed kisses on her neck "You look good in every outfit you put on" Justice turned around to face him and smiled "Even when I'm wearing my over size gowns and bonnet on"

He nodded "Hell yeah. I fasho love when you put that on too" He turned her body back around so that they both were seen in the mirror. He closed his eyes as he rested his chin on top of Justice's head she sucked her teeth. "Derrick if you're tired let's just stay in. Is going out really that important?"

"Yea now c'mon let's go" He opened his eyes and grabbed her hand leading her out of the bathroom and down the stairs. Justice stopped in her tracks and looked at him "I forgot something hold on, I'll meet you in the car" She went back upstairs grabbing the blue velvet box out of her bag. Thankfully her purse was big enough for the box.

Turning on her heels she made her way back downstairs and into the garage getting into the car. Looking down at her phone she confirmed the final payment for the venue and decorations. She then looked up at him wondering why the car wasn't moving. Once she seen the mug on his face she couldn't do anything but laugh. "Why are you looking like that?"

"Because what you on Justice? You been acting weird as fuck" he said still keeping the mug on his face. Justice stopped laughing and shook her head "stop being so nosey" she locked her phone and slipped it into her purse.

On the way to the restaurant Justice noticed a slight change in Durk. It wasn't bad or anything he just looked nervous like he wanted to tell her something. Even as they arrived and were seated he found himself contemplating how he wanted to express the reason he wanted to go out this night.

"What are you doing in two weeks?" Justice twirled her pasta around on her fork before looking up at him.
"I mean besides dropping your album, of course"

He shrugged "Shit nothing important why wassup?"

She looked back down at her plate "You think you can go to Atlanta with me?" She asked already knowing the answer. Really he didn't have a choice.

"Fasho why tho', you thinking about moving there or sum shit?" He said and pushed his plate away from him.

"Wait you aren't hungry?" She changed the subject and looked between him and the plate. Confused when he shook his head 'no'. "Ima eat that later after I smoke"

"So why are we here?" She dropped her fork onto her plate.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box and sat up straight in his seat. "I know you said you ain't wanna move fast but I definitely wanted to do this with you" He opened the box and it displayed one of the biggest diamond rings she'd ever seen. "It's a promise ring, This meaning I promise to show you something different. I promise to be there for you as long as you there for me. I promise to never let you down."

"You bring a different vibe around me. Ian never had another female come around and dedicate her time and support to me like you been doing. I really appreciate that Mei forreal"

Justice smiled big and nodded "This is sooo cute oh my god" she held her hand out so he could put the ring on to her finger as he continued expressing himself to her.

"I hope we can really build sum together real shit" he held onto her hand. Justice was so into the moment she forgot all about the surprise she had for him.

She pulled her hand out of his grip and went into her purse pulling out a larger velvet box she had. "It's so crazy because I literally got this for you and here you are blessing me with this beautiful ring" she looked at the ring on her finger again admiring it and then she slid the box over to Durk.

He grew suspicious of what was inside since he didn't expect it at all. He planned this night to be all about Justice. He opened the box and picked up the two Cuban link bracelets reading over the latch areas one said "The" and the second one said "Voice". He looked up at Justice with the biggest grin on his face.

She moved her straw around in her drink "You were talking about how you're the voice of the streets blah, blah, blah" She rolled her eyes playfully "So I had to make sure you had it on you" she moved both of index fingers left and right doing Antonio Brown's dance "Put that shit onnn" she sang.

He laughed and motioned for her to come around the table. She did as he said and came around the table to sit on his lap. He whispered In her ear "You know Ima eat yo ass tonight right?"
