" Toast, I can make toast " Jenna said as Alora walked into the kitchen.

" It's all about the coffee aunt Jenna " Elena said as she poured a mug of coffee, handing it to Alora before making herself one.

" Is there coffee? " Jeremy asked as he walked into the kitchen.

" Your first day and I'm totally unprepared " Jenna said as she rushed towards her bag and Jeremy grabbed the mug of coffee out of Alora's hands, causing the girl to give him an annoyed look.

" Lunch money? " Jenna said as she held out money to them.

" I'm okay " Elena said, while Jeremy and Alora grabbed the money out of her hands.

" Anything else? A number two pencil " Jenna continued.

" Don't you have a big presentation today? " Alora said.

" I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at.......now " Jenna said as she looked at her watch.

" Go, we'll be fine " Alora reassured Jenna, who nodded before leaving the house.

" You okay? " Elena asked Jeremy as she turned to him.

" Don't start " Jeremy scoffed.

" Do you still want a ride Jeremy? " Alora asked.

" Yeah " Jeremy replied.

" let's go them, see you at school Lena " Alora said as she and Jeremy walked out of the house.

Alora was at her locker, when she saw an angry Elena stormed into the boys bathroom and followed her.

" Whoa, next one down, chick " a boy said as he quickly zipped up his pants.

" Don't be such a prude max, we all know it's small anyway " Alora snapped at the boy, who glared at her before leaving embarrassed as Elena grabbed Jeremy's face and inspected him.

" Great...it's the first day of school and you're stoned " Elena scoffed.

" No, I'm not " Jeremy snapped.

" Where is it? Is it on you? " Elena said as she began to search the boy.

" Stop, chill yourself alright " Jeremy said as he takes Elena's hands off of him.

" Chill myself? What is that.......stoner talk " Elena scoffed before searching him again " Ohh, you are soo cool, dude ".

" Stop....I don't have anything, are you crazy? " Jeremy exclaimed.

" You haven't seen crazy Jeremy—" Elena snapped.

" Alright enough, Elena " Alora said breaking up the fight, Elena huffed in aggravation.

" Look Jer........I know she's being harsh but go easy on her, she's just worried......so am I......and Elena, you need to ease up on Jeremy a little bit, okay " Alora said before she and Jeremy walked out of the men's room.

Mr. Tanner started to the class before Elena began to zone out what he was saying, Elena looked to her side and saw the man with forest green eyes, she had bumped into looking at her, she smiled sheepishly and looked down with a blush covering her cheeks.

Bonnie and Alora giggled lightly when they noticed this, Bonnie pulled out her phone and texted Elena.

Elena looked at the message with a giddy smile, a certain green eyed vampire smiled as he noticed this.

Alora sat in the forest drawing in her stretch book, when suddenly a black raven landed besides her.

" Hi, bird.....aren't you pretty " Alora said awkwardly as mist started to flood the forest.

Alora began to draw again but stopped, when she noticed the thick white fog around her, Alora stood up and walked over to the crow and shooed it away

" That's what I thought? " Alora muttered before turning around and gasped, when she saw a man with blue eyes and raven coloured hair standing behind her.

" You dropped this " the man said as he picked up the sketch book that Alora had dropped, when she was frightened.

" You scared the crap out of me, man " Alora scoffed.

" I apologise " the man smiled sheepishly.

" It's fine, it's the fog, it's making me foggy.....and then there was this beautiful crow and then-then, I saw you....." Alora trailed off before sighing " I'm Alora ".

" I'm Damon " Damon smirked as he grabbed Alora's hand and kiss the back of it causing the girl to blush.

" Me and Elena are meeting Bonnie at the grill " Alora said as Jenna walked past.

" K, have fun " Jenna said before she turned around " Wait, I got this.......don't stay out late, it's a school night ".

" Well done, Mom " Alora chuckled.

" Ready to go? " Elena asked her cousin as she walked over to her.

" Yep....you? " Alora asked and Elena nodded as they walked to the front door and the blonde opened it and gasped, when she saw Stefan standing there.

" Sorry, I was about to knock " Stefan said.

" I'll meet you in the car, Lena " Alora giggled as she walked past Stefan and began to walk backwards ' Go get him girl ' Alora mouthed causing Elena to raise her eyebrows before she turned to Stefan and Alora turned around and got in the car.

Alora, Stefan, Elena, Bonnie and Caroline all sat in the grill as Caroline interrogated Stefan.

" So you were born in Mystic Falls? " Caroline asked.

" Mm-hm, I moved, when I was young " Stefan answered.

" Parents? " Bonnie asked

" My parents passed away " Stefan replied before looking at Elena.

" I'm sorry " Elena said sympathetic.

" Any siblings? " Alora asked trying to change the subject.

" None that I talk to " Stefan smiled at Alora before looking at Elena again " I live with my uncle ".

" So, Stefan....if you're new, you don't know about the party tomorrow " Caroline said trying to take Stefan's attention off of Elena.

" It's a back to school thing at the falls " Bonnie added.

" Are you going? " Stefan asked Elena.

" Of course, she is " Bonnie and Alora said for Elena, who smiled tucking her hair behind her ear.

" The Battle Of Willow creek took place at the end of the war, in our very own Mystic Falls.....how may casualties took place in this war " Tanner started before turning to Bonnie " Miss Bennett? ".

" Um........a lot? " Bonnie said " I'm not sure, but like a whole lot ".

" Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Miss Bennett " Tanner said before turning to Matt " Mr. Donovan.....would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your jock stereotype? ".

" It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it " Matt said.

" Elena, surely you can enlighten us about one of the towns most historical events " Tanner said turning to Elena.

" I'm sorry, I don't know " Elena shrugged.

" I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reason, Elena......but the personal excuses ended with summer break.....the same goes with you Alora " Tanner snapped causing the girls to look down.

" There were 346 causalities, unless you're counting local civilians " Stefan interrupted taking the attention off the cousins.

" That's correct.......Mr? " Tanner trailed off.

" Salvatore " Stefan replied.

" Salvatore, any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls? " Tanner asked.

" Distant " Stefan replied.

" Well, except there were no civilians casualties in this battle " Tanner said. 

" Actually, there were 7.....sir " Stefan said correcting Tanner and Tanner looked at him and Stefan continued " Confederate soldiers fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons and they were wrong.......it was a night of great loss......the founders achieves are stored in civil hall, if you'd like to brush up on your facts.....Mr. Tanner " Stefan smirked as the class snickered.

Elena smiled as Alora looked at stefan and mouthed ' thank you '

" Just admit it, Elena " Bonnie laughed as she and Alora were integrating Elena about Stefan Salvatore.

" Okay, so he's a little pretty " Elena laughed.

" He has that romance novel stare " Alora added before laughing as she grabbed Elena's arms and looked deeply into to her eyes playfully " Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul "

Elena and Bonnie laughed.

" So, where is he? " Bonnie asked Elena.

" I don't know " Elena shrugged " You tell me, you're the psychic one ".

" Right, I forgot " Bonnie smiled " Okay, so give me a sec...grams says, I have to concentrate " Bonnie said beginning to get serious.

" Wait, you need a crystal ball " Alora said before grabbing an empty beer bottle from the ground and sang " Ta-da ".

Bonnie grabbed it, looking wide eyed for a moment as Elena and Alora looked at her with worry and confusion, Bonnie pulled her hand away quickly.

" What? " Alora asked.

" That was weird " Bonnie gasped looking at Alora " When I touched you.....I saw a crow ".

" What? " Alora gasped.

" A crow......there was fog......a man " Bonnie replied before shrugging it off with an awkward laugh " I'm drunk, it's the drinking, there's nothing psychic about it ".

Bonnie grabbed the beer bottle from Alora, who was confused.

" Yeah? Okay...I'm gonna go get a refill " Bonnie said before rushing off.

" I'm gonna go see if she's okay " Alora said before following after Bonnie. 

" Okay " Elena said confused, she then turned and quickly smiled, when she saw a smiling Stefan standing in front of her.

" Hi " Stefan smiled.

" Hi " Elena chuckled.

Alora was sipping her beer, when she saw Elena and Jeremy walking into the woods with Elena scolding her brother, Alora groaned before running after Elena and Jeremy.

" Lena.....Jere " Alora called.

" Jeremy " Elena called " Jeremy, where the hell are you going? ".

" I don't want to hear it " Jeremy snapped before he fell over and on top of an unconscious Vicki.

" Vicki, no " Jeremy cried before looking at a shocked Elena and Alora " Oh my god, it's Vicki ".

" Oh my god " Elena gasped.

Suddenly Vicki gasped wake.

" Come one, guys, we have to get her some help " Alora said frantically as she, Elena and Jeremy grabbed Vicki and carried her back to the party.

" Somebody, help " Elena cried.

" Vicki, Vicki what the hell? " Matt cried as he ran over as Alora, Jeremy and Elena placed Vicki's body on a table " What happened, Bonnie, call an ambulance ".

" Everyone back up, give her some space " Tyler snapped.

" It's her neck, something bit her, she's loosing a lot of blood " Alora cried.

" Vicki, Vicki, come on open your eyes " Matt cries.

Stefan walked into his room, slamming the door behind him as a crow flew into his room cawing. Stefan then turned around and saw someone, he wasn't expecting.

" Damon " Stefan sighed.

" Hello, brother " Damon smirked.

" The crows a bit much, don't you think? " Stefan said.

" Wait till you see, what I can do with the fog " Damon replied.

" When did you get here? " Stefan asked.

" Well, I couldn't miss your first day of school " Damon answered leaning on a bookcase " Your hairs different, I like it ".

" It's been 15 years, Damon " Stefan scoffed.

" Thank god, I couldn't take another day of the 90's " Damon groaned before walking away from the bookcase " That horrible grunge look......did not suit you " Damon laughed.

" Remember, Stefan, it's important to stay away from the feds " Damon added.

" Why are you here? " Stefan asked.

" I missed my little brother " Damon said.

" You hate small towns, it's boring, there's nothing for you to do " Stefan scoffed.

" I've managed to keep myself busy " Damon replied.

" You know, you left that girl alive tonight, that's very clumsy of you " Stefan said.

" Ahh, that might be a problem...... for you " Damon smirked.

" Why are you here now? " Stefan asked.

" I could ask you the same question " Damon replied " However, I'm fairly certain......your answer can be summed up in one word:.........Elena ".

Alora and Elena watched as the ambulance left to the hospital.

" Hey, we're gonna go to mainline coffee and wait for news " Bonnie said as she approached the girls.

" We gotta take Jeremy home " Elena said.

" Alora, Elena.....there's no way I'm psychic, I know that " Bonnie said to the cousins " But whatever I saw or I think I saw.........I have this feeling ".

" Bonnie, what is it? " Alora asked.

" That it's just the beginning " Bonnie sighed before she walked away.

" She took my breath away......Elena......she's a dead ringer for Katherine..............is it working, Stefan? Being around her? Being in her world?......does it make you feel alive? " Damon taunted.

" Elena is not Katherine " Stefan said.

" Well, let's hope not " Damon replied " Tell me, when's the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel? ".

" I know, what you're doing Damon, it's not gonna work " Stefan snapped. 

Damon it Stefan's chest " Yeah, come on, don't you crave a little? " Damon taunted.

" Stop it " Stefan said as he hit Damon's hand away.

" Let's do it together, I saw a couple of girls out there, or let's just cut to the chase......let's just go straight for Elena...or what about that cousin of her, Alora.....now she's a pretty one " Damon taunted again, hitting him again.

Stefan pushed Damon back " Stop it " Stefan yelled.

" Imagine what their blood tastes like " Damon yelled, Stefan turns away his face changing as Damon continued " I can ".

" I said stop " Stefan yelled as he charged at Damon causing them to fly out the window and slam onto the floor, Stefan groaned as he got and saw that Damon was missing.

" I was impressed, I give it a six, you missed on style but I was pleasantly surprised " Damon smirked " Very good with the whole face......" he then mocks Stefan by growling playfully " thing, it was good " Damon laughed.

" Yeah, it's all fun and games, Damon, Huh? " Stefan snapped " But wherever you go, people die ".

" That's given " Damon shrugs.

" Not here, I won't allow it " Stefan said.

" I take that as an invitation " Damon smirked.

" Damon, please....after all these years, can't we just give it a rest? " Stefan pleaded.

" I promised you an eternity of misery, so I'm just keeping my word " Damon smirked.

" Just stay away from Elena " Stefan cried.

" Where's your ring? " Damon asked and Stefan looked down and saw his daylight ring was gone " Ohh, yeah, the suns coming up in a couple of hours....and, poof, ashes to ashes " Damon taunted before chucking as he walked over to Stefan with his palm open to reveal Stefan's ring " Relax......it's right here ".

Stefan grabbed it and put it on, suddenly Damon grabbed Stefan by his neck and threw him like a rag doll causing him to slam against the shed as Damon vamp sped over to him.

" You should know better than to think, you're stronger than me, you lost that fight, when you stopped feeding on people, I wouldn't try it again " Damon snapped before smirking when he heard a thud " I think we woke zack up, sorry Zack " Damon then walked away whistling.

Alora walked over to Jeremy and placed an arm around him comfortingly.

" Are you okay? Jenna's on her way " Alora asked.

" Do you think Vicki's gonna be okay? " Jeremy cried.

" I'm sure, she'll be fine....and we can go visit her in the hospital " Alora smiled lightly.

Jeremy nodded as he leaned against her.

" Are you sober yet? " Bonnie asked Caroline as she and Caroline sat in mainline coffee trying to sober Caroline up.

" Nope " Caroline groaned.

" Keep drinking, I gotta get you home......I gotta get me home " Bonnie said.

" Why didn't he go for me? How come the guys that I want never want me? " Caroline asked.

" I'm not touching that " Bonnie sighed.

" I'm inappropriate, I always say the wrong thing......and Elena aways says the right thing.....god, she doesn't even have to try and he just picks her.......and she's always the one that everyone picks.....for everything .....and I try...so hard.....and......and I'm never the one " Caroline said.

" It's not a competition, Caroline " Bonnie said.

" Yeah, it is " Caroline replied.

Bonnie stood up and went to get some more coffee and Caroline saw a handsome older man with blue eyes and raven hair smirking at her and she smiled at him giddily.
