The four hours didn't necessarily fly by. Rather the opposite. It dragged on abnormally. The train slowed down. Lecan stared absently at the vase on the chest of drawers. "Lecan? Are you all right?" Isa asked carefully. She wasn't sure if he wanted to talk, but she could try. Lecan tore himself away from the vase and looked at her with a sigh. "It's just that we're almost there. It can only be a matter of minutes before we arrive. The games, they, they - they scare me. I don't want to die." Isa remained silent. For the first time in her life, she simply didn't know what to say. "I don't know if I'm scared. I think I just haven't realised the situation yet. I don't know the games, the procedure, any of that. You already have a lot of prior knowledge that I unfortunately don't have."

Lecan didn't say anything, he just shrugged his shoulders. "I'll go and find Janine, maybe she won't be upset any more. Then we'll know exactly when we arrive."With these words, Lecan disappeared from the room next door. Isa sank into her own world. She imagined that she was with her mum. In the forest, where it was peaceful and quiet. Where she had felt at home.Isa missed her ma.

"Isadora, come on, we're here!" Isa was torn from her thoughts. Already there? She didn't really feel ready to leave the train.Nevertheless, she would have to go out without any idea of what to expect. Surely lots of people, like in District 12.Isa joined Janine, who seemed to be still in a huff, and Lecan, who had changed his worried face to an expressionless one. The door of the train opened and she jumped out first, followed by Lecan. Janine, on the other hand, waited for the stairs to extend, which wasn't a bad idea either.Isa literally soaked up her new surroundings. The station looked very different from the one in District 12, with peacekeepers standing around uselessly. Isa thought this job would be pretty boring. Standing around all day could also be done after work.

A white car pulled up outside the station, which Isa could see through the open door. It was quite stuffy in the station as the sun was shining down on the roof with full force."Come on, I'm sure our car is already waiting." Janine walked forward with her chin up. Lecan rolled his eyes and did an exaggerated imitation of Janine. Isa laughed softly. Janine wheeled round. "What's so funny?" Isa fell silent. Lecan didn't look too happy either as they got into the car.

The chapter is 300 words too short, but I think it would be too much to squeeze in the parade and the stylist team. I'd rather do that in more detail in the next chapter. I hope you enjoyed it!
