𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞

Aegon groaned looking around his council, Jaehaerys had not long left leaving him alone and bored.

"What of Alaesa Targaryen" Tyland Lannistser spoke up as Aegon looked over at the man "Surly she has bent the knee by now"

Alicent sighs "The girl hasn't changed her mind, nor will she"

"You don't know that" Aegon muttered as everyone looked at their king "Perhaps if we had Helaena a-"

"Alaesa would run the minute she had the chance"

"We don't know that"

"Your grace" Otto snapped "The dowager queen is right, the girl is to much of a threat"

"Then why have we still got her here?" Aegon questioned sitting back.

"Because you spared her Aegon" Alicent remind her son "Are you to go back your word"

He shakes his head "My cousin is not to be sentenced to death, give it some time. She shall bend the knee"

"Aegon she will never bend the knee, especially not when we are treating her as some prisoner"

"Then let her roam around the castle" Aegon muttered not really caring on what happens to Alaesa not unless someone tried to have her killed "with guards of course

"Your gr-" Otto went to stop him but before he can his daughter cuts him off.

"I shall see to her" Alicent stated as she stood up "Perhaps a walk might clear the air"

Alaesa had looked almost everywhere in her room hoping to find one of the hidden tunnels her father had one told her about.

Soon enough she gave up, there were no bloody hidden tunnels in the room or so he had thought.

She hated herself for not going to her dragon as Rhaenys had. But it wasn't that easy not when she was made to stand and watch that foolish boy be crowned king.

At first she made no plans on escaping hoping her father would come get her or at least the greens stopped their foolish plans. But when Alicent had walked into the room and muttered the sentence "Lucerys Velaryon has passed"

Well she knew a war would follow even if it wasn't Rhaenyra who called for it.

Alaesa was snapped out her thoughts as she heard the doors open, she knew what was coming. Just like every day since the coronation.

"Alicent" She muttered "Surely you know my answer by now"

The dowager queen takes a step further into the room "I've came here to take you somewhere"

Alaesa turns and looks at the women, this was it wasn't it. She was about to be murdered for staying loyal to the queen.

"Ah so you have gave up"

"No I wish to speak to you Alaesa, come walk with me"

She furrowed her brows still thinking that was some cruel joke. Who on earth would let a captive walk around freely.

Alicent moves out the way so Alaesa can step out of the room and she does quickly. But as she did she froze.

There was something off not about Alicent or the fact she was about to go on a bloody walk with her. But the fact she could see no guard in sight, she could be free so easily. But she knew to stay put there were no guards or maids.

She turns around to her doors and sees the dowager queen walk out them.

"Where are the maids, the guards?" She asked.

"No one needs to know you are walking round freely" Alicent lies as she begins walking, the younger girl following behind.

"Does Aegon know the whole place has been emptied of staff" 

"That is none of your concern Alaesa" Alicent muttered as she stopped "I don't see you as a threat, you may not bend the knee. But we cannot give Rhaenyra another reason to decline peace."

Alaesa rolls her eyes "Rhaenyra is coming for your sons fucking head"

Alicent frowns as she uses her last plan "What of your son, you speak of your late husband as if he was a plague and yet he gave you a son"

"Gave me a son, I never wanted one" Alaesa whispered as she looked at the dowager queen "If I were you Alicent, I'd have kings guard in every entrance, protecting my own" 

That was the last Alaesa would say to the dowager queen as she  walked back to the very room she had been made a prisoner in days before.

"You may walk around as freely as you wish when there are knights around, lady Alaesa," Alicent spoke loudly enough, but she fully gave up on the girl. The sooner they got rid of her the sooner they would be at peace.

"Go rest daughter" The lord hand told the dowager queen "You should have went to bed straight after failing once more"

"You try reason with the girl, father she will never side with us" Alicent admits "There is no use"

"Your brother will arrive any day Alicent, he will help in the future"

Alicent nods "Gwayne will be useful"

"Just as she will be when she breaks" Otto muttered "Now go sleep"

Alicent nods, walking out knowing full well she didn't have any plans on sleeping as she had cleaned the whole floor out for a reason.

"And what if we can't find him?" The man sat across from the rogue prince muttered.

"Any Hightower prince will do" Daemon admitted as she stood up but stopped before he could think about walking away "One other thing"

"What my prince?" The gold cloak asked.

"You don't get the gold if don't get my fucking daughter, understood"

The two men looked at one another then back at the prince as they nodded. They would get Aemonds head and his daughter back, or would they.
