All he saw was white when Jimin opened his eyes, the white surface too bright for him and hurting his eyes. He groaned and whined.
He slowly let his eyes adjust to the bright light, and glanced around to see where he was.
White walls, a faint beep sound resonating from next to him, and he looked to see a saline needle attached to his hand.
What? Am I in a hospital?
"Jimin?" A soft voice spoke from his right side, but Jimin was too busy memorising what happened.
Blood.
A kid's dead body.
A creepy note.
Someone was there.
A loud gasp escaped Jimin as he was startled and grabbed the wrist that touched his shoulder.
He looked properly at the person this time, and his heart ached at the person's expression.
"Jimin? What happened? Are you okay?" The person sniffled softly, while slowly reaching for Jimin's cheeks.
Jimin didn't back off this time, he wanted for them to touch him, for her to touch him.
"Jiyeon...I am okay. Well, not fully but yeah, better than before."
Jiyeon broke into tears, and hugged Jimin tightly, Jimin wrapping his arms around her securely. "I was so worried! You were looking so quiet and pale! Never had I ever seen you like that! So quiet, so vulnerable! Just smile and laugh...I wanna hear you laugh. I wanna see you smile."
Jimin, with a weak smile, pulled her close to his body, and kissed the crown of her head. "I am okay, Jiyeon. Don't worry. I will be out of this place soon. Stop crying, yeah?"
Jiyeon nodded and controlled her tears, softly sniffling while pulling away from him.
Kim Jiyeon was Jimin's girlfriend, for quite a sometime now. The girl with beautiful and sharp features but a kind heart, was deeply in love with Jimin. She was sensitive about feelings, never really opened to anyone like this before, but she loved the idea of love.
When the news of Jimin getting hurt got delivered to her, she immediately ran over to the hospital where he was being treated at. She was curious as to what possibly happened to Jimin that got him here. But knowing the rules, she was still a mere citizen in the eyes of law and Jimin wasn't allowed to tell her.
Even though, still wanting to ask as to what happened, she was about to ask when the door to the ward opened and stepped in Seokjin along with Yoongi.
Jiyeon stood up immediately, bowing to the older ones before giving them a smile, the gesture the officers returned as well.
Jimin slightly shook his head, indicating the two over the door to not discuss anything in front of her.
Seokjin nodded and sighed. "Miss Jiyeon, I'm sorry but you'll have to take your leave now."
Though Jiyeon was a slight disappointed, she understood the circumstances and stood nevertheless. She gave Jimin a last peck on the cheek before leaving the room, closing the door behind her.
The room remained silent, none of the three officers spoke. Yoongi and Seokjin took a seat and sat near the bed. Jimin had his head hung low.
"I'm sorry." He whispered in a broken voice, clenching his fists so hard until they turned pale, and closed his eyed.
Seokjin sighed as Yoongi remained blank.
They knew very well why the latter apologised. Jimin had always been insecure about himself and always self-criticised himself at each small failure he had. Everyone was tired of telling him it was okay, but he couldn't just get the fact in his head. Even after being in a relationship.
Just like as always, Jimin was blaming himself for what happened there, but they needed him to be clear as to what he was sorry about and what he witnessed.
"As for what, Officer Park?" Yoongi tried his best not to snap at the stupidity, but remained his posture, knowing it would just hurt the younger one more. "For fainting? For failing to do a simple task? For what was not even your fault? You need to be clear of the topic this time, Jimin."
Jimin bit his lips, stopping himself from saying his piece of mind to Yoongi but he knew he was right. It was the same drama every time.
"Instead of mopping over some nonsense, how about you tell us what exactly you saw?" Seokjin crossed his legs in a demanding manner, gazed at Jimin sternly.
Jimin sighed and leaned back on the bed, running a hand through his hair, trying not to break from what he saw.
Goosebumps rose around his skin once again, and he could still feel the spine chilling aura of the room.
He looked up at the ceiling, still not speaking a word. Tears filled the corners of his eyes, glistening like sparkles, as his memories of the house returned.
Creepy note.
A dead kid hanging on the wall.
Someone was there.
But how come was Jimin not able to figure him out? It was weird. He checked every corner of the room, so how come someone escape when there was no one? That doesn't even make any sense! Someone saw him, saw his actions, his face, his way of working and even heard his thoughts a loud.
Dread washed over Jimin once another realisation struck him.
Whoever it was, they clearly heard the orders from Hoseok, and might have gotten a clear idea as to what was the next plan from their side. They even spoke they were going to the hospital for the autopsy reports.
Damn no.
"Jimin?" Jimin flinched at the sudden call, and looked at Seokjin and Yoongi with wide eyes.
"What happened?" Yoongi asked, confused by the weird behaviour.
"Where are Taehyung and Hoseok?" Jimin asked.
"They went for the autopsy autopsy reports. Why are you asking--"
Jimin facepalmed.
"Oh heck."
Shit.

Taehyung and Hoseok had absolutely no idea, unlike Jimin, about what was gonna happen. The two officers entered the elevator, and pressed the button reception to go to their search of files.
It was just silence, a suffocating one at that. Hoseok sighed at the sudden cold attitude from the younger, but he knew better than to snap at him for something like that, cause he knew the reason very well.
Seeing your best friend's hands covered in blood and them fainting in your arms with their tears falling off their cheeks wasn't just a pleasant sight. It hurt Taehyung more than it would have hurt when him being hit by truck.
He was just silent most of the times. He was a lot calmer than before, before they were informed that Jimin was okay, not harmed. Taehyung was just keeping himself from crying again, trying to not show him weak in front of his senior. A senior who saw him grow up.
Hoseok knew. He knew that Taehyung would eventually break but only when he sees Jimin and in private, not in front of everyone. Hoseok knew it has always been like that. Whenever something would go wrong, Taehyung would only cry to Jimin, but not show his weakness to anyone else.
The same thing was with the youngest one, Jungkook. He had also been the closest to the two, but he was always the strong one, well, physically. It was a really strong bond among the three, one would be suprised how strong it was. Not only Hoseok, but everyone knew that if any one of them was affected, the other two would be too, especially if it was Jimin being hurt.
So it wasn't a big of a surprise or shock to see Jungkook running towards the two of them when they stepped out of the elevator.
He had just gotten here, it was clear as he was sweating, a bit too much. Worry was clearly flashed over his features.
Jungkook's heart was beating faster as each second fast. All he was told that Jimin was injured and he had blood in his hands, and that was enough to get him crazy. Well, if someone told me this way, I would lose my sanity too.
"Where is Jimin? Is he okay? What happened? How could you two not be careful? How much blood did he lose? Oh no.....He is conscious right--"
"Oh for God's sake, would you shut up, Jeon?!" Hoseok yelled at the younger, who instantly shut his mouth, pursing his lips, knowing that he was annoyed.
Three things to never do in the unit. First, don't go to field missions alone and act like a stupid or Seokjin won't hesitate to suspend you. Second, don't tell anyone what really goes on within here. Third, don't, again, don't piss of Jimin and Hoseok. Not a very pleasant either.
"Jimin is okay. He just touched a intoxicated blood, and fainted. He just saw some incoherent scene. Other than that, nothing serious about his condition." Hoseok replied, running his temples in frustration, all the havoc today annoying the hell out of him.
Jungkook sighed in relief, feeling his insides calm a bit, still a restless and probably would be until he saw Jimin with his own eyes, but for now, the situation.
"I was informed of the next step you were gonna take. I called Doctor Kim, the files have been prepared. We shall proceed."
Taehyung and Hoseok looked at each other, before nodding and following Jungkook.

"You little brat! We are running for almost--"
"Not even five minutes, Min Yoongi, shut the hell up." Jin gritted his teeth as he scolded a whining Yoongi. "Despite being in the same field for the last six years, you're still the lazy ass."
"Jin, Yoongi, hurry up!" Jimin yelled.
Yoongi and Jin were running and following behind Jimin, who was in a hurry to get the record room to stop Hoseok and Taehyung from going there. Or maybe just because he wanted to stop someone from getting there. Or anything. He himself didn't know why he was going, but he had to be there, and that was what mattered to him.
Seokjin clearly remembered the younger one saying in frustration.
'We need to get their fast! Tell them to close the gates, cause we are gonna lose the files if we don't!'
What did he mean? Was that criminal aware of their plan? To slowly dig out information about the victims, connect the dots, and then find the fugitive?
Not even a single strand of hair of the fugitive was caught yet and Seokjin was losing his sanity slowly.
Two days, and they were still stuck on the same spot. A blank board of chess with no other players but them seven, no clue, nothing.
How? How can we get the information? How do we lead? Just...how?
A evil chuckle.
Seokjin stopped dead in his tracks, eyes wide, and breath caught in his throat.
He was damn sure he heard a chuckle, that didn't somehow sound so nice to him. He turned around slowly to see no one, no one but a female nurse, turning the corner.
He was frozen. Eyes more wide than before, he felt himself slowly losing his voice to yell and order.
He felt frozen, like his body has been covered with ice, not letting him move when he saw what he saw.
The nurse actually paused before turning the corner. She turned towards his direction. She looked up, and smiled. She actually smiled.
Nothing weird.
Nothing weird except for the blood coated over her teeth.
Seokjin's gaze travelled down to her hands which held the cart.
This time, he gasped.
On the cart where surgical gloves, filled with red blood and tied with a knot.
Seokjin was sure he saw an eyeball float inside it.
But before he could do anything, the nurse blew a kiss towards him, wrote something on the wall with a red liquid, and ran away.
She actually winked.
Of course he knew what that red liquid was, he knew he should have followed that nurse and chase after her, but he was frozen.
He snapped out of his trance, and walked towards the wall where she had written God knows what.
His breath hitched as soon as he read it.
And he felt more creeped out than the time Jungkook tried to ramen mixed with milks and cereals. Don't ask. Story for later.
'You're handsome, but I like the cutie more! ;)'
And Jin was sure he had lost his sanity cause for he ran straight into a wall while trying to escape.
He slid down, holding his nose, screaming internally.
Fuck my life.
