Leah wasn't usually those types of woman who went for looks, money and status. She simply was a person with a strong believe in the word love. She was beautiful. Judging her looks, no one would agree someone as pretty as her was so simple.

Her house was painted in white, flowers decorating the interiors and bright lights shinning the house. The house--an apartment to be exact--was covered all sorts of white, from milk white to creme.

The exact opposite of what her husband's apartment looks like.

Leah wasn't just a nobody. She was Min Leah, The Senior Superintendent General of Seoul Detective Branch, Min Yoongi's wife. Since she was a paramour of one of the important figures of Seoul, she was under a safe premesis.

Though, she did not count herself a deserver of the respect eversince her relationship with her husband went downhill.

Yoongi was the polar opposite of what Leah was. Leah was a blank canvas, wanted to be painted with beautiful colours and Yoongi was the blank paint, whose one drop changed her whole painting.

She sighed as she looked at the time and then back at the scenery of Seoul in night sparkling outside the window.

"Eager to see him, hm?" A soft voice spoke out from front of her, as a cup of coffee was kept on the coffee table in front of her. Leah looked at the warm coffee before sighing and returning to stare back at the scenery.

"Stop with the poker-face, Le. I know what's hidden behind that mask." The speaker sipped their coffee.

"You don't even know me that well, Seohyun to figure out what is hidden behind the mask." Leah stared in a monotone voice.

Seohyun chuckled, rather in a mocking way, "Really? You seriously gonna say that after we spent last ten years together?"

Leah rolled her eyes as her eyes kept still on the view outside. Though the view was nothing new to her, she still loved it, unbeknownst to her as to why everytime she looked at it, she couldn't help but feel that this place is a heaven.

"When are we gonna leave, though? They are gonna be there soon." Seohyun asked, looking at her wrist watch. "I even got myself off duty early just for today."

Seohyun was Jin's wife, a famous doctor in Seoul who owned the biggest hospital in South Korea. She belonged from the family of doctors, obviously stated as the doctorate family of the nation.

"Why does Jin even hold these events often? It's not like we don't see each other." Leah sighed. "And on top of that, I don't think Yoongi even enjoys my presence."

"Just because he enjoys or not does not mean that I can't enter my own family. God, Leah. You are like my sibling by now, I can't ignore you. Besides, everyone wants you there. You're a family."

"Yeah....That's true." She smiled.

"Have you ever noticed how protective everyone is? Of you, me and even SooIn." Seohyun smiled.

Leah grinned, "Yeah. Can't forget that one time when Hoseok and Jimin helped me when I had a tail just because the criminals wanted to attack them and tried to take me as a bait," then she frowned. " They helped me because Yoongi was at home. We had a fight and I went out to cool myself."

Seohyun sighed. "No matter what I try to do, you will always find a way to tell yourself that Yoongi is at fault."

"I am not trying to tell myself, okay? He is the one at fault--" Leah tried to argue but Seohyun cut her off.

"Then tell me one thing, Leah. If Yoongi really didn't care about you, then why are you guys still aren't divorced? Hm? And not only that, you are staying at the condo that belongs to him. Tell me, why?"

Leah was at loss of words and looked down, "Because....Because my family won't accept back a divorcee, and I am staying at his place because I have no where to go and if I start working, his enemies would come and tear me apart. Also because I have no guts to stay in the world without him...Well, not anymore." Her eyes fogged with tears.

No matter how much time has passed, Leah knew deep down, she was still Yoongi's beloved. Deep down she knew Yoongi would never ever forget his love for her. She also knew that she can't stay without Yoongi, he is her everything. But, the things in their relationship took a sharp turn and they couldn't do anything.

Seohyun softened and she hugged her best friend, "Hey, Le? Let's go. The boys must be there. By the way, is there something you would like to tell me? I saw this in your room a while ago."

Leah pulled away in a jolt and her eyes widened when she saw the documents in Seohyun's hand. She gulped and looked back at her friend who was staring at her with a raised brow.

"I can explain."

Yoongi groaned at the creepy silence that was lingering around in the car. Eversince Jimin, Hoseok and Taehyung returned from their investigation, the trio had been quiet.

Known as the loudest people in the whole group, it was really a bit weird for them to be this silent.

"Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with you three?" Yoongi finally stopped the car and looked at the three of them.

Jimin, who was sitting at the back with Taehyung, looked at Yoongi with a blank face, which was again a bit weird considering he always had a smile on his face no matter what. "What do you mean?"

"Eversince you three returned, you guys have been acting weird. What's wrong? What happened back in the investigation?" Yoongi's voice calmed down by the end of his sentence.

"The house where we went for investigation, well...We will go tomorrow again. But for today's update, I would say...whatever happened there, things were a bit too violent." Taehyung's deep voice spoke.

Yoongi furrowed his brows, "A better way to explain, please? What exactly--"

"Yoongi," Hoseok called out with a soft voice. Yoongi looked at him and saw a small smile on his face, "We are off duty. And you know the rules, once off duty, an officer can't spill anything work related. Whatever word of the office, stays in the office. You better not violate it. Besides, I am not in the mood. I just need food."

Jimin whined, "I didn't even have lunch! Who is more hungry?!"

"I had a coffee, won't lie." Taehyung chuckled. "Wow? And you could not even bring one for me? The heck?" Jimin pouted.

Yoongi silently groaned as he realised the trio was back to themselves, or well, acting to be so.

He sighed.

Whatever they saw there, was really something.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at Jin's apartment, where everyone was gathered. Yoongi was a bit nervous to see his wife, whom he was in a rocky relationship with.

"Everything will be alright, Yoongi." Hoseok patted his back, while giving him a encouraging smile.

Yoongi sighed, "I hope so."

The elevator door opened and the four stepped out and headed inside. Though, the door opened before they could open it.

Jimin almost tripped in if Taehyung hadn't grabbed him by his collar, whom he thanked later.

Seohyun gasped, realising that Jimin almost fell on the floor taking her down with him, and uttered a quick apology.

Jimin smiled, "It's okay!"

She stepped aside, to let the four men enter the house one by one, giving her peck on the cheek as a greeting.

The slight skin-ship like these didn't matter as the seven men had more trust in each other, knowing none of them would do something hurtful to the other.

The last one to enter was Yoongi, whom Seohyun stopped before he could complete enter.

Yoongi blinked at her.

Yoongi, Seohyun, Jin and Leah had been close eversince they knew each other. Seohyun was like Yoongi's sister and best friend, and while Jin treated Leah as his younger sister.

"What's wrong?" Yoongi asked. Seohyun motioned for him to listen carefully. "Talk to her tonight, Yoongs."

Yoongi paled, "What? Hyunie, do you hear yourself? I would chicken out before I could even look at her!" The woman rolled her eyes. "Don't be so dramatic. Leah has something important to talk to you tonight, Yoongi. Maybe this could make things better...Please do it..."

Yoongi remained quiet, as he thought. But then, Seohyun shook him, making him groan in annoyance, "Okay! Stop shaking my brain out!"

Seohyun squealed silently, before letting Yoongi step in.

"You make me question for age, woman."

"You make me yours too."

Jin approached her, smiling to himself after witnessing the small conversation Yoongi and Seohyun had.

"Already troubling him, hm?"

Seohyun bit her lip while smiling, "It's worth it." Jin smiled sadly, glancing at his friend and his wife, "I hope so too."

"Haha! Guys, listen!" Seohyun snorted as she tried to hold in her laugh. Leah sighed next to her. "Seohyun, you're drunk?"

"No? But listen! I am setting up blind dates!" She smiled proudly. Jungkook chuckled. "Oh? So now Seoul's top doctor is setting up blind dates?" Seohyun stepped up on the table, and pointed at him. "Don't mock me, Junglebook!"

Hoseok and Namjoon laughed while sipping on their drinks. "For whom though?" Jimin asked.

"Hobi and Joon."

The said two spat their drinks straight at the face of the person sitting in front of them--Yoongi.

Yoongi sighed in annoyance, wiping his face with the tissue Jin handed him.

"Are you for real, Hyunie?" Hoseok spoke while trying to calm his choking. Namjoon did the same and sighed in relief. He looked up at the drunk lady with squinted eyes, "I didn't like the joke."

Seohyun kneeled on the table, squinting her eyes as well, "I don't recall mentioning it as a joke." It was stare down between the two, before Namjoon looked away, respecting the older. Hoseok sat up with a nervous look, "But why in the world would you do so?"

"Oh come on! I have had enough with you all coming with no one else but yourselves and me being the only woman here!"

Leah coughed from behind her, making all eyes turn to her direction. "What am I then? A duck?"

"Exactly!" Seohyun exclaimed. She then looked at the duo with puppy eyes, "If you two love me, you're gonna do this."

"No." Replied Namjoon.

"Fine." Replied Hoseok.

Both of them looked at each other with blank looks, resisting the urge to slap each other. Namjoon rolled his eyes and sighed, "Fine. But whom?"

Seohyun grinned. "With my friends!"

Leah choked on her drink. "What? Seohyun! Shut up!"

"Who are your friends? Never heard of them before?" Jin smiled at his wife.

"Just like you, I have six friends too, Jinnie! And I am gonna set your two friends with my two friends." She turned to Hoseok and Namjoon and smirked, "You two won't regret it. I promise!"

Namjoon grumbled while Hoseok smiled. "I'm sure we won't."

Meanwhile the following ruckus continued, Yoongi's eyes were focused on one individual in the room.

Leah.

She knew he was staring at her, but she was too nervous to glance back at him. But realising the situation finally calmed down, she has no option now but to stare back at him.

Yoongi.

The moment her chocolate pupils glanced at his way, her breath got stuck in her throat. She tried her best not to blush, but failed eventually when Yoongi smiled at her.

She remembered Seohyun's words.

Talk to him about this, Leah! Don't keep hiding things like these from him! You guys might not be together anymore, but he loves you. He is still the only one you could depend on.

She had to tell him about this. Yoongi deserved to know. So, with a smile back, Leah stood up, and motioned for Yoongi to follow, who did it as being told.

Yoongi clearer remembered what his best friend's wife had said to him.

Talk to her tonight, Yoongs.

And he planned on doing it.

They finally reached the balcony of the enormous apartment of Jin's, standing in the comforting silence of each other. They were suprised a bit thinking about how comfortable they were, but then they realised, they used to be like this before.

No one said a word. They just kept staring at the sparkling city in front of them.

The beautiful sight made Yoongi frown, remembering him of the responsibility he holds to protect this land. He sighed, and looked at his wife, admiring her instead.

"What did you wanna talk about, Leah?" Yoongi spoke in his soft voice, trying his best not to make the woman feel uncomfortable.

Leah sighed, "I will just get to the point," Her tone made Yoongi frown in worry. "There is this guy who keeps following me for the past week."

That was enough to make clench his jaw.

"Do you know him?"

Leah looked at him with a raised brow, "If I had known him, why would I be here telling you this, Yoongi?"

Yoongi mentally face-palmed. "Right. Did you see his face?"

She nods, "Yes. I can recognise him if I see him again."

"Great. Then come into my office tomorrow. I will tell Jungkook to inte--"

"But I can't describe his face properly..."

Yoongi looked Leah with a stupidified expression. "What is--"

"The details are a bit hard for me to tell. I didn't him see that properly to tell about the details. He seems like a stalker but if I see him again, I promise to get a better look and come to the station immediately. Then, Jungkook can draw him for further details."

Yoongi sighed in annoyance. "Whatever."

Once again, they both stood in silence.

Leah looked at Yoongi, silently observing his expression and features.

The same pale skin, feline shaped eyes, and the same blonde hair.

A smile spreaded across her face.

Can't believe there used to be a time when I woke up to that face.

A longing sigh escaped her lips, making Yoongi glance at her way. He remained silent for a few seconds, before smiling.

"What?" His soft voice melted Leah's heart.

She suddenly wanted to hug him, feel his warmth and wanted him to tell her he will never leave her. Maybe it was the alcohol in her system. But Leah knew better than to do that. She knew she couldn't do that. They were not together anymore. That made her wonder if Yoongi had already found someone else; maybe if she was holding him back.

The thought Yoongi loving another woman the way he loved her once made her heart clench.

"Do you want to divorce me, Yoongi?"

Her question snatched Yoongi's smile. His brows furrowed, and frown cascaded his lips.

"What?" The same question from before escaped his lips, but now in a different tone.

Leah looked at the scenery in front of her, nervously. This question had been bothering for quite some time now.

"Maybe I am holding you from loving someone else--I don't mind. I will survive, Yoongi. Just tell me, do you want divorce? We are not together anyways--"

"Leah, what--"

"--So it would make sense if you found someone else. Not everyone should keep holding themselves back now--"

"Leah, shut the hell up." Yoongi's voice made Leah snap shut.

She looked at Yoongi, who was staring at her with a frown. "May you never forget, you were the one not happy with the relationship. You were the one who left, so it's obvious for you to have someone else, not me."

Leah gasped, her eyes tearing up, but she knew Yoongi was right.

"Yeah, this sounds harsh, but we both know it's the truth. I always loved you, Leah. It was me who said I won't give you divorce because I know your parents won't  accept you back as a divorcee. If I really found someone else, believe me, I wouldn't care about standing here anymore, Leah. Even you know that. And no, I don't want a divorce, until you want it."

Leah looked at the floor before looking at Yoongi. "Stop caring for me, Min Yoongi. Stop this." Tears fell from her eyes.

Yoongi sighed. He knew both of them were having a bad time.

"I will be okay. Let me go and live freely. Can't you see we both are holding each other back?" She took a deep breath, "Can't you see I'm holding you back?"

"You're not holding me back, Leah." Yoongi turned to face her. "You are not holding me back. I am not interested in anyone else....not anyone else rather than you. It's always been you, and I can't seem to like anyone else. So please, stop saying it. I will always care for you as for you're still my wife. Never forget that my surname is yours until we sign those bloody papers."

Leah and Yoongi both looked at each other with gazes that held nothing but longing. And they knew, they couldn't do anything to mend the other's heart.

So with a smile, Leah nodded. "Sorry, Yoongi." Yoongi smiled back, "It's okay."

"Sweet baby Jesus! So you are telling me this now?!"

Both of them heard Seohyun's yell and laughed.

"We both were once a part of each other, Leah. But now we are nothing but memories for each other," Yoongi smiled sadly, "But I won't lie and say, you were the best moments of my life."

Leah smiled back, "Somehow we both are burning ourselves as we are constantly thinking about our past. Let's try and move on, let's keep those memories in our hearts as a lesson as to what we did wrong and what we did right; and start to med ourselves before starting to mend the other."

Yoongi nodded.

They both stared at one another before Yoongi sighed softly and smiled once again. "I will head inside first. You?"

Leah nodded her head, "Will be there soon."

"Okay." Yoongi walked towards the living room, not before looking at his wife last time.

The door of the balcony closed, leaving Leah stand alone in the quietness.

She turned to face towards the scenery once again, this time, no Yoongi by her side.

She smiled as the memories of her spending time with her husband started flooding in; the longing in her heart slowly transforming into a pain she will never get over.

Pain never stops sounding the alarm; it never falls asleep on the job. At the moment we shut down our hearts, or begin entertaining harmful beliefs as ultimate truth, or interpret our experiences in a way that hinders our evolution, Pain starts poking us…just a little at first but if we ignore it, it'll start clanging cymbals in our ears until we acknowledge it's presence.

Pain is a message, a signal, an alert. Pain is Truth's formless, eternal Sentinel. Pain is indeed the Great Teacher, and it works in concert with Truth to purify consciousness and allow transmutation.

She finally walked towards the door, ready to leave the balcony, and head inside where her family was.

When she reached the living area, her eyes met with Yoongi.

Both gave each other a smile.

Both Yoongi and Leah never realised this that...

...Somehow they were burning themselves as they constantly kept thinking about their past.
