It All Ends Tonight

"What... guys! Luna! Lila! Guys!" Riley yells as she wakes up, realizing she's in the living room with Lila, Sienna, Luna, Jasper, and Daniel, who are also waking up around her.

"What is going on? Why am I here? Was there a party?" Daniel demands aggressively.

"We're all here, idiot. Keep up," Sienna says, rolling her eyes.

"Riley! Oh my god, you're okay," Lila exclaims, rushing over to hug her sister.

"Hey, guys, why are we all in this room?" Luna asks, her voice filled with confusion.

"He brought us here," Jasper says ominously.

"Who's 'he'? And where is he? Because we have some problems!" Daniel snaps.

"The killer. Wait... wouldn't one of us be it?" Riley questions, her voice trembling.

"Yeah, but who? I know it's not my sister, and that's all I can say. Sorry, Jasper," Lila says, standing up.

"Baby, I swear I'm not the killer. I would never hurt any of your family, even if they hate me," Jasper says defensively.

"What? We don't hate you," Riley says, surprised.

"There's no point in lying. Riley, I swear you hate me, and I don't know why. Plus, your mom barely talks to me," Jasper says, his frustration showing.

"Jasper, that doesn't mean they hate you. Weird assumption," Lila replies.

"All I'm saying is, I'm not killing anyone, especially not my girlfriend or her sister," Jasper insists.

"Jasper, I know you're not the killer, but that doesn't mean I can trust you completely," Lila says.

"Jasper, as indifferent as I am toward you, I honestly don't think you're the killer. And I appreciate what you did for me and my sister that night at the beach house," Riley admits, softening slightly.

"For real? That means a lot. I really do love your sister, and I'm praying we all make it through this alive. Not that we're going to heaven just yet," Jasper jokes, clasping his hands together in mock prayer.

"You just need better jokes," Riley mutters, cringing.

"Wait. Maybe it's your little psycho friend over here," Daniel says, pointing at Sienna.

"Or maybe it's you," Sienna retorts, glaring at him.

"You weren't even at the beach house with us. Maybe you killed Lila because she wouldn't get back with you," Sienna accuses, turning to the group for support.

"You probably killed Sierra. You're so short, you could've jumped out of a closet and no one would've seen you," Daniel sneers.

"And then you stabbed her parents to death so no one could stop you," he adds cruelly.

"Are you serious right now?" Sienna snaps, her voice rising.

"Why is your little friend over there so quiet?" Daniel says, pointing at Luna, who looks both confused and nervous.

"What? No, I'm not the killer! I swear I wouldn't hurt any of my friends. I'm just scared to say anything," Luna stammers.

"What a convenient excuse. You were all alone tonight at the party," Daniel accuses.

"Wait, Luna, weren't you in the basement the whole night? What were you doing down there?" Sienna asks suspiciously.

"She wasn't doing anything!" Riley interrupts sharply. "Are you seriously accusing Luna, Sienna? You've lost it!"

"Why are you defending her so much, Riley? Everyone here is a suspect. I get that you're close, but that doesn't mean—" Sienna begins but stops when she notices everyone staring at her.

"She's not the killer. I know because she was with me. I just know," Riley says firmly.

"Fine," Sienna relents, dropping the subject.

"Thank you," Luna whispers to Riley, who gives her a small smile.

"Then who is trying to kill us? At my party, no less! Like, come on, it's a party!" Sienna exclaims in frustration.

"That doesn't mean you wouldn't kill someone at this party," Riley says pointedly. "Wait a minute... Daniel, you said you weren't at this party, right?" She turns to him.

"Yeah, obviously. I'm confused too," Daniel replies, looking defensive.

"Then how would you know Luna was here the whole time if you weren't at the party?" Riley asks, her voice sharp. Daniel freezes, his face going pale.

"And, Sienna, why didn't you call him out? Instead, you jumped in to explain where Luna was," Riley says, turning to Sienna, whose eyes widen in alarm.

"I'm sorry, Riley but I'm not listening to what he's actually saying and I didn't study for a clue. What is this! Eye-spy!" Sienna says.

"So...you're the killer." Lila says pointing to Sienna who shook her head, before Riley turns to Daniel and says the same thing.

Before anyone can react, the killer emerges from behind Sienna and pulls a knife to her throat. With one swift motion, the blade slices through, and Sienna collapses to her knees, clutching her neck as blood pours out. A horrifying scream erupts from everyone as her body crumples lifelessly to the floor.

Blood sprays across the room, splattering everyone. The killer removes their mask, revealing a smirking Sophie.

"Ding, ding! You guessed one right... which means the other was wrong," Sophie taunts, her eyes glinting with malice as she swings the bloodied knife.

Everyone stares in shock, frozen by the sudden revelation.

"Since you got it wrong, I guess it's time for your turn to end. Daniel, grab her!" Sophie commands.

Daniel smiles to himself for a moment before springing into action, grabbing Riley. Both she and her sister scream as they back away, panic overtaking them. Jasper lunges at Daniel, tackling him to the ground.

"Run! Girls! Run! Now!" Jasper yells, wrestling with Daniel.

Lila tries to move toward Jasper to help, but Riley grabs her arm and pulls her back. "We have to go!"

"Fine!" Sophie shouts, her voice cold and sharp. "If you want to ruin the show, then Act Three will start with a twist."

Sophie grabs Luna, pulling her close and holding the knife to her neck.

"We're going to play a little game of hide and seek. If we find you, not only will we kill you, but your friends will pay the price too. You have until the count of five to hide. And if you try to fight back... this one dies first." Sophie presses the blade harder against Luna's neck, making her whimper.

"Please! Don't hurt them!" Luna cries, her voice trembling, but Sophie silences her with another press of the knife.

"Ready or not. One... two... three..." Sophie begins to count.

Terrified, the sisters scatter, darting off in opposite directions to hide. Riley sprints up the stairs, bursting into a bedroom. Her eyes dart around frantically before spotting a pull-down attic ladder. She grabs the cord, yanks it down, and scrambles up.

Once inside, she quickly pulls the ladder back up and closes the hatch, her heart pounding as she crouches in the darkness, struggling to quiet her panicked breaths.

Olivia pulls up in her car, parking just outside the house. She scans the area warily.

"Yeah, like I'm trusting a house party," she mutters, stepping out of the car and heading toward the front door. Before she can reach it, she's stopped by Jasper, who's standing stiffly in the doorway.

"Hey, Ma'am. I'm Jasper—Lila's boyfriend. I thought the girls went home," Jasper says, his voice strained, his eyes wide as if trying to remain calm. His unnatural stillness instantly makes Olivia suspicious.

"But their phones, which I'm tracking, are here," Olivia replies, tilting her head and narrowing her eyes.

"Maybe they left them behind. I can grab them for you," Jasper offers, pointing toward the house and attempting to motion discreetly with his head. His forced smile only deepens Olivia's unease.

"Yeah, sure... just one more thing," Olivia says, reaching into her purse.

"What?" Jasper stammers, confused.

"Duck!" Olivia yells suddenly.

Jasper instinctively dives to the side as Olivia fires her gun. The shot hits Daniel, who was sneaking up behind Jasper, squarely in the arm, sending him crumpling to the ground with a pained cry.

"Where are my babies, Jasper?" Olivia demands, her voice sharp and authoritative.

"They're inside... hiding," Jasper answers breathlessly.

"Take my car and drive to the police! I'll go get them," Olivia orders, her tone leaving no room for argument.

"But—" Jasper tries to protest, but Olivia cuts him off.

"Now!" she barks.

Jasper scrambles to his feet and runs to Olivia's car, pulling out his phone to call 911. He frantically shouts for help as he nears the car, but just as he reaches the door, a gunshot rings out. Jasper collapses to the ground, clutching his side as blood seeps through his shirt. His phone skids across the pavement, sliding under the car, just out of reach.

Olivia's eyes dart to the doorway, where Sophie steps out, holding a gun.

"What the!" Olivia yells, but Sophie reacts faster, shooting the gun from Olivia's hand with precision.

Before Olivia can recover, Sophie sprints toward her, tackling her to the ground with brutal force.

"Wow, a true survivor," Sophie sneers, her voice dripping with mockery. "But every story needs a final kill."

With that, Sophie knocks Olivia out cold with the butt of her gun, leaving her unconscious on the ground.

"Oh my god...." Riley says whispering to herself, trying to look for something in the attic.

"Come on...come on I need to help Lila, Jasper and Luna." Riley says whispering looking around the attic before spotting something at the corner at the eye.

"Bingo!" Riley says, with a smile.

"We've got Olivia, the final girl!" Sophie taunts, her voice dripping with mockery. "The one who dated a so-called 'final boy,' only to watch him get the boot. Poor Olivia had to stand by, helpless, as he saved her life... just so she could watch him die. All that heroism, and for what?"

Daniel drags Olivia into the kitchen and tosses her roughly to the floor next to Luna.

"Luna, sweetie, what happened?" Olivia asks, trying to steady herself as she sits up.

"A lot," Luna whispers, her voice trembling. "They're hiding... and then Sienna... she died. I don't even know why they're doing this."

"I'm so sorry you're caught up in this, ma'am," Luna says softly, avoiding Olivia's gaze. "I don't even know how I'm still alive."

"Hey, hey, listen to me," Olivia says, trying to comfort her. "You fought for your life, Luna."

"No, I didn't," Luna mutters, shaking her head. "Others died. I just ran... I just escaped. That's not fighting."

"Okay! Shut up, both of you!" Sophie barks, cutting through the moment. She crouches down in front of Olivia, smirking. "I have an announcement to make. Olivia here has met my dad."

"Your dad?" Luna asks, confused.

"Luna, for once in your life, shut up!" Sophie snaps before turning back to Olivia.

"Your dad?" Olivia echoes, trying to process Sophie's words.

Sophie hums with a dark smile. "Oh, you know him. He had a hand in your boyfriend's murder."

"No, no. It can't be," Olivia whispers, her voice trembling.

"Oh, it sure is," Sophie says, leaning in closer. "Why do you think I killed my parents? Blood runs in the family. Except I'm not stupid enough to get caught. No, I want people to know I'm back without them knowing I'm back. I want to haunt them, make them whisper my name in fear."

Olivia stares at her in disbelief as Sophie continues.

"And Daniel here," Sophie says, gesturing toward him, "he had all this pent-up rage, just waiting to be unleashed. What better way to vent it than by murdering his ex and her friends? And hey, getting a new, infamous girlfriend in the process was a nice bonus."

Sophie giggles as Daniel grins, clearly relishing the moment.

"You're killing people... as a couple? Who does that?" Luna cries out, horrified.

"At least we're a couple," Daniel sneers, leaning closer. "Too bad you'll be dead before you ever get to be with your best friend."

"Speaking of your best friend," Sophie says, turning to Daniel. She playfully taps his chest. "Go find them."

"Of course, babe," Daniel replies, smirking as he strides out of the room to search for the others.

"You leave them alone, you sicko!" Olivia yells, her voice trembling with rage.

"Come on, Riley!" Daniel taunts as he prowls through the house. "Mama and your little girlfriend want to see you!"

He walks into a bedroom, scanning the area. "Come out, Riley! Come on now!" he yells, his voice echoing through the room.

Riley, hidden in the attic, holds her breath, clutching a shard of broken glass in her trembling hand.

"Maybe your sister will be next," Daniel sneers, opening the closet door and rummaging through it. The mention of Lila makes Riley's blood boil.

"Oh, maybe..." Daniel mutters, continuing to look around.

"You're next," he says, turning toward the room, when suddenly Riley bursts out of the attic. She leaps onto him, sending them both crashing to the floor.

"Or you're next!" Riley yells, plunging the shard of glass into Daniel's side. He screams in pain as she stabs him repeatedly, adrenaline fueling her attack.

With a desperate grunt, Daniel throws her off him, sending her slamming into a dresser. Dazed but determined, Riley tries to get up, but Daniel charges at her.

"I've been waiting for this moment," he growls, plunging his knife into the same spot she'd been stabbed before. Riley cries out in agony.

Summoning her strength, Riley kicks him hard in the face, momentarily disorienting him. She scrambles toward the door, but Daniel quickly pins her against the wall, his knife poised to strike again.

"Not today, Daniel!" Lila's voice rings out as she charges into the room, kicking Daniel away from her sister. She grabs Riley and drags her toward the door.

"What was that?!" Sophie yells from downstairs, her voice sharp with suspicion.

Before she can react, Olivia rushes toward her, gun in hand. She fires a warning shot into the wall as she tackles Sophie, the two women grappling fiercely.

"Luna!" Olivia shouts.

Luna springs into action, grabbing Sophie's gun and aiming it shakily at her. Just as she tries to pull the trigger, Sophie and Olivia's struggle sends them crashing into Luna, knocking her to the ground. The gun clatters out of her hand and slides across the floor.

Daniel, clutching his injured arm, staggers to his feet and charges at the sisters. He grabs both Riley and Lila, dragging them down the stairs with him. All three tumble down, their bodies crashing into the steps and each other. Lila's head hits the floor hard, knocking her unconscious, while Riley and Daniel scramble to their feet, continuing to fight.

"Sorry, old lady, your time is over!" Sophie taunts, headbutting Olivia and sending her to the ground.

Luna, paralyzed with fear and guilt, suddenly finds her courage.

She springs up and kicks Sophie hard in the leg, making her buckle and drop to one knee. Without hesitation, Luna follows with a kick to Sophie's chest, causing her to gasp and stumble backward. Spotting a nearby cabinet door, Luna grabs it and slams it against Sophie's head, sending her sprawling to the floor.

Sophie coughs up blood but manages a sick laugh. "For a girl who knows she's not going to live, you sure fight like you've got a chance. But we all know, Luna—you're just going to end up like Lila. You couldn't even save her. You didn't even try. You just ran to your best friend, hoping she'd protect you."

Her words dig deep, but Luna's anger drowns out her fear. As Sophie tries to stand, Luna delivers a brutal knee strike, forcing her back down, then starts punching her relentlessly.

"At least I'll die with honor," Luna snarls, her voice trembling with rage. "You'll just be dead meat! Your fans didn't give a damn about you, and guess what? Neither do we!"

With one final punch, Luna knocks Sophie flat, blood smeared across Sophie's smirking face.

Behind her, Olivia picks up the gun Sophie dropped. She gently taps Luna's shoulder, breaking her out of her furious trance. Luna freezes, staring down at her bloodied hands in shock. She stumbles back, trembling.

Olivia gives her a small, reassuring nod and aims the gun at Sophie. Without hesitation, she fires a shot into Sophie's chest, silencing her laughter.

"If she gets up again," Olivia says, smirking and rubbing her temple with a wince, "you can have the honor of the final blow. I'm tired of this."

Luna lets out a shaky laugh, the tension easing just slightly.

"Deal," she says softly, her lips twitching into the faintest smile.

"I'm guessing you're going to die. What's your final words?" Daniel sneers, grabbing Riley by the neck and pinning her against the wall with brutal force.

Riley gasps, struggling for air, but manages to smirk. "I think...you should think before you do anything," she says through gritted teeth.

"What? What are you talking about?" Daniel asks, his voice laced with confusion and a hint of unease.

"First off," Riley begins, her eyes locking with his, "that gunshot you heard? That was for Sophie. Two against one wasn't great odds for her, so she's probably dead by now. Second, my sister—she's tough. She could wake up any second and kill you herself. And third..."

Riley glances out the window. "The police are here."

Daniel instinctively turns his head to look out the window, his grip loosening just enough.

Riley seizes the moment. She grabs a shard of broken glass in Daniel's side which was still there and pushes on it. Daniel screams and stumbles back, clutching the wound.

Before he can recover, Riley steadies herself, grips the shard with both hands, and yanks it out. Blood sprays across the room as Daniel collapses still standing.

"And one more thing," Riley growls, glaring down at him. "Your Act Three... fucking sucked!"

Without hesitation, she drives the shard straight into his head. Daniel's body crumples to the ground, lifeless.

Riley takes a shaky breath, wiping blood from her face. The sound of approaching sirens grows louder.

"Oh my god! Sweetie! Sweetie! I'm so glad you and your sister are alive!" Olivia cries, running to Riley and pulling her into a tight embrace. Luna follows close behind, her expression filled with relief.

Riley starts sobbing as she clings to her mother. "Mom, I'm so sorry! I really am. If I'd actually thought about what you were going through... if I hadn't been so selfish..." She pulls back, tears streaming down her face.

Olivia shakes her head, her own tears falling freely. "Hey! Hey! Stop. I should've told you the truth about your real dad. This is on me, not you. What matters is that you and your sister are okay."

Behind them, Luna helps Lila sit up and gently shake off the haze.

"Well," Riley sniffles, attempting a weak smile. "I'm glad my dad was such a nerd because I wouldn't have guessed one of the killers without what he taught me."

Olivia pulls away, her eyes widening before laughing softly, bittersweet tears still in her eyes. "Your dad would be so proud of you."

"You guys need to catch me up," Lila groans with a faint smile, her voice raspy as Riley and Olivia turn to hug her. "Because what the hell just happened?"

"Thank you for saving me," Riley says, her voice trembling as she looks at her sister.

"Anything to protect you, little sis," Lila says with a tired grin, pulling her family into a tighter hug.

Their mother's voice softens as she looks at Lila. "Lila...Baby...I'm sorry he didn't make it."

Lila's eyes glisten as she tries to hold back her tears, but Olivia pulls her closer. "But he went out as a hero," Olivia says firmly. "He helped me get in here to save you. Don't cry for him, okay? He wouldn't want that."

Lila nods, wiping her tears as she whispers, "I'm going to miss him so much."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Sophie bursts from the shadows, bloodied but feral, charging at the family with a knife in hand. "You'll die like your dad—at my family's hands this time!" she screams, her blade raised high.

The family freezes in shock—until a deafening gunshot rings out.

Sophie's body collapses mid-charge, her head snapping back as blood sprays across the room. The family turns to see Luna holding the gun, her hands trembling as she lowers it.

"I think your bloodline just ended," Luna says coldly, staring down at Sophie's lifeless body.

"And now you can finally be with your dead dad." She pauses, blinking at her own words. "Wait, why did I say that? I swear, I didn't mean—"

But Riley interrupts with a laugh. "Shut up." She steps forward, grabbing Luna and pulling her into a kiss.

Luna freezes in shock before leaning into the kiss, but as they pull apart, she stammers, "Wait, but... I—"

Riley grins and shrugs. "It'd be stupid not to date you after you helped save us. You're kind of not just an amazing friend but girlfriend." She pulls Luna into another kiss, both of them smiling against each other's lips.

Lila claps her hands together, her grin wide. "I knew it!"

Olivia watches the scene, her expression shifting from surprise to a resigned chuckle. "I mean, she saved my life. I've seen too much tonight to even argue. You two deserve this. And honestly...I deserve a vacation."

The family bursts into laughter as the sound of police sirens grows louder. Officers rush in to secure the scene, collecting the bodies and tending to the survivors.

As paramedics guide them toward the waiting ambulances, the family clings tightly to each other, united after the horrors of the night. Together, they step into the dawn of a new day—scarred but alive, stronger than ever.
