I knock on the sliding glass door of the Forman household, wrapping my jacket tighter around myself as it opens.ย

"Hi, Mrs. Forman," I smile. "I made some cookies and I had extras so I thought I'd bring you some."

"Oh, that's wonderful, sweetie," she smiles. "But it's seven o'clock in the morning. Why are you baking so early?"

"I just couldn't sleep."

"Well, at least you made good use of your time. Would you like to have breakfast with us?"

I appreciate the gesture, but I know that she and Red don't need another mouth to feed. "That's alright, thank you-"

"No, I insist!" she ushers me in. "And for the record, you don't need to knock. None of the other kids do it, anyway."

"Is there anything I can help you with, then?"

"Sure, find some breakfast recipe and make it."

I watch her as she bustles around her kitchen expertly and I familiarize myself with the arrangement of various items in their cabinets. Halfway through the making of a six-person omelet, footsteps echo up the basement stairs.

I add cheese to the eggs as Hyde groggily snatches a cookie from the plate and sits on a stool at the countertop.

"Morning sunshine," I smirk, making myself some tea.

"Why are you here?"

"I was invited to eat breakfast with you guys."

"Whatever," he scoffs before adding, "Mrs. Forman, these cookies are delicious."

I put my hands on my hips. "I made them."

He coughs. "Oh, suddenly my mouth tastes like crap!"

Rolling my eyes, I pour a glass of orange juice for him. "It's the same recipe I used when I first came here, you dillhole. And you said you liked it."

"Feelings change, doll."

"Now, Steven, be nice. Anastasia helped to make breakfast!" Kitty scolds as she frantically tosses a sizzling piece of bacon onto a plate.

"That's right," I huff righteously. "I'm feeding you, so you'd better be grateful."

"Hey, orphan," Laurie's snide voice comes from behind me. I turn and give the girl a quick hug. "Morning, Mom."

I nod in acknowledgment as Hyde turns his nose up at her. She eats one of my cookies. "Damn, this is a good, Ana!"

"How'd you know I made it?"

"'Cause it's good."

Kitty looks up, heartbroken.

"Laurie," I warn.

"Of course, Mom's are better."

Mrs. Forman happily returns to her cooking. I plate the slices of omelet and set the table. As Red joins us, already complaining about Eric, I tune out his barks and tuck Steven's tag into the back of his shirt.

He flinches away in surprise.

"What?" I tease. "Ticklish?"

"No," he grunts. He turns and holds his glass out to me. "Will you get me some more?"

"I won't, lazy ass. Your necklace is backward."

He tilts his chin up as I rotate it. "It's called a choker. That term sounds cooler, so use it."

"Okay. You're wearing the necklace I gave to you on Christmas."

He rolls his eyes, forgetting about the idea of my complying with his demands. "So?"

"Have you forgotten what it means? It means idiot."

"As you said, it describes me perfectly."

The corners of my lips quirk up. "You are incredibly angsty this morning."

"I'm tired."

"Sucks to suck," I shrug. I pull him off of the chair. "Now get your own damn orange juice."

James and I approach the van that stands in the center of the Formans' driveway. The gang and I have decided to go to Vanstock today, which is just Woodstock for vans. I'm allowed to take James with me, so that's what I'm doing.

"Hey, hi!" Eric yelps as Hyde joins us from inside the house. "Donna just saw Kelso and Laurie making out in the van!"

"So?" Hyde shrugs.

"Aren't you shocked? I'm shocked, for one, to have learned about this."

"I thought Donna knew," I say, furrowing my eyebrows.

"You knew about this, too?" the redhead frowns. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Of course I knew! And first of all, not telling anyone means blackmail material for Kelso and a good way to punish him by making him do stupid shit to cover it up. Second, if I wasn't thinking about blackmailing him, it would be his responsibility to tell her, not mine. I'm not going to ease his burden by telling Jackie."

"Yeah, I guess that's fair."

Coincidentally, Jackie shows up immediately with Fez and her pink suitcases in tow. "Hey, guys! I decided to go!" she squeals. "I thought it'd be fun to surprise Michael."

"That would be fun!" Hyde grins.

"Fez, put my stuff in the back," the girl orders.

"Can I put our stuff there, too?" James asks politely.

"Yeah, thank you." I kiss his cheek.

"Jackie, you know what we should do? We should hide in the back and pull the curtains, so at some point, we pull them open and say 'surprise'!" Hyde plots.

"Oh! That's a great idea!" she scurries to the back.

"This is going to be a disaster," I sigh.

"Yeah," he smirks, "And it's going to be funny as hell."

"Blackmail at its finest?"

"Exactly, Princess, exactly."

I smile as James holds me on his lap, nuzzling his face into my neck.

"Look at this," Fez says with pity. "Jackie brings four different types of mascara to please Kelso, and what does he bring? Another woman."

"Fez, you should really stop going through other people's stuff," Eric advises. "It's kind of creepy."

"Yeah. You sneaking up to my room and looking through my underwear drawer is not cool," I chide, patting my boyfriend's arm to relax him as his grip on me tightens.

"How long do you think this whole thing has been going on?"

"Whoo! I don't know," Eric lies. "That's anyone's guess. Right, Fez?"

"What?" Fez inquires.

"Kelso and Laurie. See? Fez doesn't even know."

"Since Red's last day at the plant," I answer.

Eric glares at me. "It's just, like, god, this is so wrong, you know?"

"So what are we going to do?" Donna questions.

"Well, I guess we can just let this all blow over, and then Jackie and Kelso can get married, have kids, and be really unhappy," Eric nods. "So, let's not let this mess up our Vanstock experience, okay?"

"I'm on board with that," James chuckles. I hum in agreement as he kisses me softly.

Eric's face contorts. "Man, it's so weird. I feel like you're kissing my sister." As Jamie hastily pulls away, he adds, "But go for it, man!"

I roll my eyes and press my lips to my boyfriend's quickly.

"Look at this. Bubblegum lip smacker," Fez shakes his head, displaying a tube of lip balm from Jackie's makeup case. "What a waste."

We spend the rest of the drive talking about random topics. I throw some conspiracies into the mix, of course. Finally, we arrive at the festival.

"Wow, man, Vanstock," Hyde grins as we pile out of the car. "It's exactly how I pictured it."

"Has anyone seen my top?" A girl who is covered in mud shrieks as she stumbles by us with her friend.

His eyes follow her. "Actually, it's even better than I pictured it."

James pulls me to his side as a gruff, middle-aged man approaches us with a megaphone. "Do notย take the blue acid! If you have taken the blue acid, please report to the Red Cross tent!"

A group of guys next to us disappears into the forest.

"Look at this debauchery," Fez says, disappointed. "This is the smelly underside of a once-great nation. Oh, candy apples!"

I beam up at my boyfriend. "Can we get some?"

"Of course," he chuckles.ย

I take his hand as we walk to the candy apple stand. "See, it's the perfect snack."

"And why is that?"

"Because it's sweet. Like you."

"You're cheesy."

"No," I correct. "I'm sweet."

"And cheese isn't sweet?"

I laugh. "What kind of cheese are you eating if it's sweet?"

"Good cheese!"

"Fake American cheese," I scoff, rolling my eyes playfully. "It's fifty percent water. This is Wisconsin, for god's sakes, you're supposed to have the best cheese and the best cheese only."

"Well, I am the best of all of the cheeses."

"That made no sense," I giggle.

"That's fine."

I smile against his lips as he pulls me closer to him.

"Next!" the cashier calls, breaking our embrace. I buy two candy apples, although it takes some convincing to get James to let me pay.

We return to the van, where Fez is devouring his own snacks, and sit with my friends. "What are we supposed to do here, again?" I chuckle.

"Appreciate the vans," Jamie shrugs.

"We don't have enough vans to appreciate and it's getting dark, so I don't feel like walking around."

"We can stay here, cozied up," he teases, tickling my sides. I convulse into a fit of giggles, smacking him to get him to stop.

He says he forfeits because of the various onlookers, but I know that it's because of me. I watch over his shoulder as Hyde stumbles around with a very revealing top clutched in his hand.

"How are you doing over there, Steven?" I snicker.

"I found the top. Now I just need to find the jugs that fit it."

"Or don't fit it."

He flashes a grin. "Exactly."

"Good luck, man," James nods.

"Thanks."

I smile inwardly. Over the past few days, Steven has become more welcoming towards Jamie. I think he realizes that what we had (whatever it was) was hot, but over. He doesn't seem to see my boyfriend as a threat to anyone, and I believe that brings his guard down a bit. In turn, his acceptance makes Jamie more comfortable joining the group in various activities. And that all pleases me very much.

Either way, the sun begins to set and we set up our sleeping bags. Hyde and Kelso are nowhere to be seen, Jackie, Laurie, and Fez are gossiping in the back of the van, and Eric and Donna are cuddled up in a bag together.

"I got a double sleeping bag if you want to share one," James says, scratching the back of his neck.

A coy grin appears on my face. "I'd love to."

We climb in together and he wraps an arm around me, pulling me into his chest to keep me warm in a similar way to how he did on our first date.

"Hey, Katya?"

"Yes?"

"Some of my friends are planning a small party and I'd love for you to meet them. Do you want to come?"

I look up at him. "Sure."

"Thanks."

"Of course."

I tug his face down to mine and kiss him gently, threading my fingers through his hair. As my movements become rougher, he props himself up on his elbow so that he's hovering over me and holding onto my waist.

I gasp quietly as he expertly slips his tongue into my mouth. I bite my lip as he pulls away to scatter kisses behind my ear and on my neck.

"James," I whisper, leaning my head to the side to expose my neck more.

He softly shushes me and returns to my lips. Ironically, I'm thinking that it's too bad we're in public when Kelso leaps into our sleeping bag, disturbing our heavy makeout session without a care in the world.

I roll Jamie off of me and kick Kelso as hard as I can. "Mike, what the hell?" I spit. "We're obviously busy."

"Sorry, Ana. It's cold and I need a place to sleep."

"Sleep in the van!"

"There's no room!"

"Use my sleeping bag and keep it! You smell like dog shit," I wince.

"Thank you."

"Yeah, whatever. Get out of here."

I rest my head against Jamie's shoulder as the taller boy scuttles away.

"I'm guessing you're not in the mood anymore?" he sighs.

"Sorry," I grimace. "But on the other hand..." I trail a finger down his chest. "We can finish this later."

He smirks. "Definitely."
