MOVIN' OUT (ANTHONY'S SONG)

I peek through Donna's books in her room as she and Jackie gossip on the bed.

"He said 'this isn't going to work, Jackie,'" Jackie frets. "What if Michael secretly wants to break up? I need to get him to sleep again! What if his unconscious mind knows something his conscious mind doesn't!"

"Well, let's hope so," Donna sighs.

"Don't worry about it, Jackie," I shrug. "Maybe he doesn't want to break up but he knows that it's inevitable."

She gasps offendedly and shakes it off. "Well, at least he's not as boring as Eric."

"We're not talking about Eric. We're talking about Kelso," Donna deflects. "Untrustworthy, two-timing, sneaks-behind-your-back-and-reads-your-journal Kelso."

"Okay, Donna, I'm sensing we're not talking about me and Michael anymore, so... bye."

The redhead rolls her eyes as she stands and bolts outside.

I take her place and scoot closer to my friend. "Start talking."

She sighs. "Ana, I think Eric read my private journal."

"Oh, shit," I mumble. "Is this about the dream where you wished Eric was Steven Tyler?"

Her eyes widen. "How did you know about that?"

"I swear, Jackie told me! I didn't go snooping around in your journal."

She hesitates before nodding. "Okay, I believe you."

"So, is it about that?"

"Yeah..." she concedes reluctantly. "It's just that... sometimes I wonder if he's enough. I wonder if he's the right guy for me."

"Oh my god, you're giving me flashbacks to the thing with me and Fez."

She laughs. "What happened with you two?"

"Long story short, Fez took me out, I had fun, and I was insecure about me and Steven."

She faces me fully, placing a hand on mine. "Oh my god! You like Fez?"

I glare at her. "No! I don't like Fez! I mean I do as a friend, but... not like that."

"So what did you do?"

"I'll just tell you what Fez told me. He's never going to be able to give you everything, because only perfect people can do that, and he's obviously not perfect."

She shakes her head with a grin. "Yeah, he's not. I want to find that perfect person, though."

"There are no perfect people."

I furrow my eyebrows as she scuttles backward against the wall frantically, looking at something behind me.

I turn to see Fez peeking out of the closet. "Fez!" I scold.

"Oh, come on, are you guys going to kiss or what?"

"Get out of my house!" Donna yells.

"Wait-"

"Fez, if you don't leave, I'll throw you out the window," I threaten.

He quickly rushes to the bedroom door and shuts it behind him.

I stare at the wall behind Donna in thought.

"What?" she says in a panic. "Is there something on my WFPP poster? 'Cause then I'll have to ask-"

"No," I shake my head. "Do you think... How do you think I'd look with a tattoo? Just a little one. Like behind my ear or something."

She snorts. "What, a little target so Hyde knows where to kiss you?"

I roll my eyes, ignoring the way I can feel my cheeks heat up just a bit. "I'm serious."

She sizes me up. "I actually think you'd look pretty good with one. It fits your vibe."

I meet her eyes. "Should I get one, then?"

"If you want to get it for yourself and not because of someone else, then sure. But where are you going to find a cheap tattoo place?"

I grin. "I think I know a guy."

I examine the small black crown behind my ear in Donna's mirror. I asked Leo to draw a heart with an arrow through it, but I guess he decided to do his own thing.

Not that I'm complaining.

"Damn, Ana!" Donna grins giddily, looking at my reflection from the bed. "You look, like, ten times hotter!"

I smile, flattered. "Thanks, but you can barely see it with my hair down. And it still hurts a bit."

"Wear the white bandana."

"The white bandana?"

"Yeah, you left it here earlier."

I tie my hair up, pulling out a few loose strands to frame my face and slip the accessory on. I hold up a pair of her silver hoop earrings. "Do you mind if I borrow these?"

"Go for it."

I clip them, adjust my jacket on my shoulders, and turn to her. "What do you think?"

"Hyde's going to flip," she giggles.

I laugh. "Shut up before Fez tells us to kiss again. Do you really think so, though?"

She raises her eyebrows at me. "Are you honestly asking me that?"

I wave it off. "Do you want Eric to get one? To be more badass or whatever?"

She thinks for a moment. "If he wants to get one, that's cool, but I wouldn't want him to get one just for me."

Eric's head pops in and Donna eyes him annoyedly.

"Uh, Ana, are you ready?"

She frowns. "Where are you going?"

"I promised the guys I'd hang out with them," I reply. "Do you want to come?"

"No, I'll stay here," she declines. "See you later, Ana."

"See you, Donna."

Eric pulls me out as quickly as possible. "Ana, man, you've got to help me. She knows I read her journal and now she's on my ass about it."

"She'll get over it," I sigh.

"Yeah, but what if she doesn't?" he worries. "It's going to take a long time for me to find another girl who likes me, Ana."

"She loves you, Eric. She'll come around."

"Yeah, I hope so."

"Thanks for letting us hang out here, Leo," Eric sighs. "I just... I didn't really want to see Donna after what she wrote."

"Forman," Hyde interrupts. "No one cares."

"That's true, man," Leo nods. "Listen, you guys know I don't allow alcohol in my house."

"Oh, got it." I down my shot of tequila and place the small porcelain cup back onto the table.

"Where'd you get that, man?"

"Leo, you asked me to bring tequila."

"Don't go throwin' lies around, Spacious. It's not cool. Anyway, you guys will have to drink sake instead."

"Sake it to me, man!" Fez chuckles.

"Don't start with the sake jokes, Fez," Steven scolds.

"Oh, put a sake in it!"

I giggle as my boyfriend frustratedly buries his nose into the curve of my neck.

"Well, this would be fun if I wasn't so miserable," Eric sulks.

"Look, Forman," Steven sighs. "we're happy just to sit here and drink these tiny, allegedly alcoholic drinks. But we don't want to hear you bitch about Donna all night. She'll get over it."

"Thank you," I scoff.

"Well, you're in luck," Eric huffs. "I don't want to talk about Donna."

Thirty minutes and six cups of sake later, he wails as he stacks a tower of them. "You see, the thing about Donna is..."

"Here we go," I sigh.

"She acts like everything is all cool, right? And then, all of a sudden, I'm no Steven Tyler!"

"Oh, Eric," Fez wheezes, "for heaven's sake!"

"You're still the king, man," Leo laughs.

"Man, I thought we were past the phase where we had to impress each other," Eric laments.

"You are," Steven shrugs. "Now you're in the she-dumps-you-for-a-biker-with-a-wicked-tattoo phase. The most entertaining of all phases."

"Oh my god," he mumbles. "Oh my god, Hyde, that's it! A tattoo is dangerous! There's a place right next to the liquor store. I could go get one right now!"

"No way, man!" Leo protests. "We're not going to let you go to some sleazy tattoo parlor and spend money on something you'll regret for the rest of your life. I'll tattoo you for free, man. I did one for a friend not too long ago! I can't remember which one it was, but I know she liked it!"

Clearly drunk, Eric agrees.

A few minutes later, he's just as drunk. "How cool am I?"

I try not to look at him, since I really don't need to see his bare ass, and I wash the sake cups.

"A tattoo of my girlfriend's name. How's that for dangerous?"

"Yeah, I think Debbie's really going to like this," Leo murmurs.

"Wait? Debbie? No, Donna," Eric corrects.

"Right. Okay. No problem! I can fix it."

"Fix what?"

"Relax! Debbie won't notice it, man."

"It's Donna!"

"See, now you moved, man! It's okay. I can make that into a flower."

"Oh, you know what you should get?" Fez offers. "Boobs. Big boobs on your butt."

I scoff. "Yeah, Fez, that's real classy."

"Hey, I can turn the Bs into boobs!" Leo exclaims.

Eric takes time to process this. "Wait, what Bs?"

"Like in 'Debbie'? Your girlfriend?"

"It's Donna!"

"Oh, right. Oh, I can fix that."

I chuckle, nodding to Steven.

"I don't wanna look at his ass!" he whisper yells.

"Do you want me to look at his ass instead?"

"Fine." He glances at Eric's butt and laughs openly.

"What? What's wrong?"

"I'm not telling you."

He pulls me into a side room. "He drew Woodstock on his ass."

I let out a small giggle. "He wrote Woodstock on his ass?"

"No, like Woodstock. The bird."

"Aw, that's so cute," I coo.

"Shut up, he'll hear you," he chuckles.

"So?" I shrug. "He'll have some fun trying to guess what I'm laughing at."

He shakes his head fondly. "God, you're amazing."

I shrug innocently. "I know."

He kisses me, not in the way he usually does, but roughly and quickly. He swiftly moves to kissing along my jaw.

"You're a lot more excited to kiss me today," I tease.

"Yeah, well, it's hard to resist you."

He pulls away, spotting the crown behind my ear, and moves my hair away. "What's this?"

I bite my lip. "Leo did it for me. Why? Do you like it?"

He smirks. "Hell yeah, I do."
