"Manjiro... Mikey... Don't you remember me?"
The sound of the bustling streets echoed throughout the whole city. People on sidewalks were solely focused on their destination, bumping into a few people and muttering a 'sorry' before carrying on with their day. A girl with (H/c) hair was amongst this crowd, being pushed around while her friend was in front of her, dragging her by the wrist.
Behind the girl, the boy with long blond locks stood by, eyes scanning in the crowd until they found her figure. He held her woven bracelet between his index finger and thumb, trying to return the item. The girl looks back, her eyes full of desperation as they land on the boy's dark eyes. The further she was being dragged away, the more his figure became smaller. It was now or never.
She opened her mouth and hollered.
"My name is... (Y/n)!"

A loud gasp was let out in her bedroom. (Y/n) jolts up from her mattress. There, she sat still on her bed. Her eyes then observe the items in her room with a slight sweat forming on her head. The room was your average room. It was a bit messy, but overall, it was albeit organized.
Her eyes then land on her uniform, hanging by the closet handle. She pursed her lips, seemingly perplexed. Perhaps she was still half-asleep, which was making her this confused in thought. Eventually, she ripped her gaze away from her surroundings and looked at herself, well, more or less, looking down at her breasts.
'So that's where the weight was coming from.'
She slightly furrowed her brows at the size, hesitantly lifting her index finger before poking them. Her brows were scrunched after that, lifting another finger to poke at them again. The (H/c)ette eventually felt captivated at the odd feeling and kept jabbing them. Even when her bedroom door suddenly flew open. At the entrance of her room stood her mom, whose mouth was open to wake her up but paused when she saw her daughter poking her chest.
"(Y/n), what are you doing?" The questionable tone was very noticeable, but even so, she kept poking them. "So that's what they feel like..." She eventually stops, recalling what the older woman had called her, and shoots her head over to her bedroom door. She pointed at herself, raising a brow and forming a slight sweat. "Huh? (Y/n)?"
She received a small sigh from her mother as she placed her hands on her hips. "Are you half-asleep? I came up here to wake you up, plus, breakfast is ready! Hurry up!" Her mom closes her bedroom door, leaving her alone and somewhat puzzled. (Y/n) just stared at the door, lips pursed, then glanced around the room one more time as she stood. When she stood, she noticed that she was wearing a onesie and rose a brow at the choice of clothes.
Regardless, she made her way over to her mirror. Normally, she wouldn't even consider getting up and would continue to sleep in until her friend would come by and wake her up around 8 am, but right now, everything seemed so confusing, so she made her way over to the mirror to check herself out. When she got there, she unzipped her onesie and let it drop to the floor, leaving only her underwear on as she stared hard at herself.
"Huh?"
She gazed at her body, taking note of the obvious feminine figure, then looked at her face, which made her lose herself at this point. "HUH?!"

The smell of eggs and rice lingers within the dining and kitchen area in the (L/n) residence. (Y/n)'s mother had just finished cooking her daughter's breakfast just a few minutes back. She washed the pan she used, scrubbing it to get the little egg remains out with a scrunched face as the TV in the background was mindlessly playing to fill the silence.
Once the pan was finally scrubbed and clean, her mom placed it in the drying rack and wiped her hands, her ears picking up on the soft footsteps coming from the hallway. Looking over, her daughter enters the room dressed in her school uniform. "(Y/n)! You're late! You're lucky today's my day off, or you would've gone to school starving." Her daughter lazily shrugged and sat on one of the dining chairs. "I don't usually have breakfast during the weekdays anyway." (Y/n) replied, grabbing the spoon from her plate and stuffing the eggs and rice in her mouth.
Once the continents hit her tongue, she absently smiled to herself, oblivious that her mom watched her with such intensity, picking up on some mumbles the girl spoke out before stuffing her face with her food again. "You're rather normal today." (Y/n) ceases from taking another bite, turning her head over to the woman while the girl gently sets the spoon down on the plate. "What are you talking about?" Her mother couldn't help raise a brow, turned away from her, and started making her way out of the room. "You were acting a bit different than usual like you were possessed. Even Kiki noticed! But anyway, hurry up and eat your breakfast." With that, she leaves while the sentence just made (Y/n) have more questions.
'What does she mean by that?'
Regardless, she shrugged it off and went back to eating, absentmindedly listening to the local news.
"A comet with an orbital period of 1200 years will pass in a month." The words the news anchor told piqued the girl's interest, her eyes shifting over at the screen. "The comet will be visible to the naked eye for several days..." Her eyes shined at this information. At least now she has something to look forward to.
"Mreow!"
Perking up, the girl turns her head to her left, optics settling on the chair next to her to see her black and white munchkin cat, Kiki. (Y/n) beamed at her pet, lifting her hand to pet her head. "Hi, kitty.." The cat watched her owner's hand with a piercing gaze, slightly retreating away when the hand went to touch her fur. (Y/n) then frowns, lightly tilting her head at her cat's behavior. She watched Kiki sniff her hand for a short period, the cat turning its head to get a better angle at her hand before backing away.
Kiki then bumped her head on her hand, giving full permission to let her owner have her way. 'What was that about?' As she petted the animal, she had now just noticed minor scratch marks on her hand. They seem fresh. 'Did Kiki do this? When did this happen?' But she slowly pushed that thought away when she witnessed Kiki lying on her back, belly showing as the cat was posed. An inner scream was then let out.
'Gosh, she's so cute!!'

"I'm heading out, mom!" She hollered, her feet thumping against the wood as she rushed to the front door. "Bye, bye! See you later!" Her mom shouted. The (H/c)ette hurried over to the door, stuffing her shoes on, and left the house while her mom gave a small wave. Once the door closes, (Y/n)'s mom lets out a small sigh before putting her hands on her hips. "Okay, got a lot of housecleaning today; where should I start?" With that, she makes her way over to a room.
(Y/n), on the other hand, she walked in silence, gazing around the small town she had lived in for years. Her town resided near a large forest, the trees swaying within the slight wind. The town was straightforward to get around. The population wasn't significant, but it was enough to know who is who and what they do for a living. Her house resided near the mountainside, where she could view the town's absolute beauty when the sun touched and left the land.
As much as (Y/n) loves this town, it's become tiring to stay in the same spot for days. She wanted to explore outside of this place, find out what city life is like, and possibly make new friends in those cities. Despite her complaints, though, there is one area that she always adores going to. In the forest behind the town's shrine, there lays a beautiful waterfall.
The lake was huge while the waterfall wasn't as big as the ones on television. But it was still pretty in her eyes.
(Y/n) had finally reached the road that goes to her house, she searches through her bag for her earphones and MP3, but a sudden call of her name makes her stop. "(Y/n)-chan!" The girl smiles at the familiar voices, turning her head over to see her two friends on a bike; Riko and Sadako. "Hey, guys!" She waved as the two friends stopped by her side. "Morning!" Riko grinned, showing her bright teeth as she leaned over Sadako's shoulder. The other girl pursed her lips together and narrowed her eyes. "Hurry up and get off..." It wasn't her intention for the brunette to hear, but she did and grumbled at her. "How come?"
"C'mon, you're heavy!"
"We're the same weight, you jerk!"
(Y/n) watched the two bicker back and forth, then smiling to herself as she turned around and started walking off. "Y'all get along so well~." They immediately blush, Riko hastily jumping out of the bike. "We do not!" All while the (H/c)ette just rolled her eyes and chuckled. Soon enough, Riko catches up to her friend as Sadako paces her way over to them while holding the bike. "So! How was your guys' morning?" The (H/c)ette questioned, glancing at them both. Both Riko and Sadako were quiet, eyeing each other than looking back at their friend.
"You seemed normal today." Riko pointed out, moving her brown hair behind her ear. (Y/n) quirked a brow at her, "Huh?"
"I mean, your hair seems normal today. You usually put it in a (h/s-choice), right?" Riko pointed out.
"What?"
"Maybe her mom hired exorcists and cast a repellent spell on her! (Y/n) was totally possessed!" Sadako uttered to the brunette, making Riko huff. "She was probably stressed. Don't make up some weird occult stuff."
"What's with everyone saying that?" (Y/n) butted in, surprising the girls as she looked at them with furrowed brows and grumbled. "First, it was my mom, then it was sorta my cat, and now it's you?" The girls eyed each other, then back at their odd friend. "You don't remember? Like, at all?" They halted their tracks. (Y/n) was even more perplexed at their inquiries. From what she can recall, she had a regular day at school and with her friends, so what was everyone chattering about?
As (Y/n) was about to open her mouth, the sound of a megaphone was playing to their right.
"Finally, and most importantly," The girls looked over to see the town's mayor in a small coliseum, giving a small speech to the nearby citizens as he brought the mic close to his mouth. At the same time, four of his assistants stay to his right. "we must restore the town's fiscal health to continue its revitalization. Only when these are achieved can a safe and secure community be created!" The mayor glanced around the area, standing tall. "As the incumbent mayor..." He goes on about his speech while the girls slowly walk away, still watching him in pure interest.
"He'll just be reelected again anyway." A local man mumbles to his wife, making Riko perk up at his remark. "Between you and me, he's been spreading money around." The wife answers, which makes Riko frown barely before they continue to walk on. Soon enough, the three of them had run into three of their classmates, watching the mayor speak with boredom. One was a handsome, tall man with a relaxed attitude, another was a popular girl at school who looked down at all three of them, and the other just tags along with cause she didn't know what her 'quirky' trait was. In all honestly, what was the point in being there if you're going to be uninterested?
One of them glimpses at the girls, which was the boy. He smiles in their direction and welcomes them. "Morning, Hayakawa." Riko gives a curt nod while (Y/n) and Sadako stare at them. "Morning." The boy smirks, putting his hand in his pockets; the girls by him snicker and put their hands either by their hips or crossing. "So the kids of the mayor and his contractor are sticking together, too." The girls giggle at his remark while Riko rolls her eyes. "Ew." One of them comments as the girls push past them, ignoring their comments. Sadako glances behind her and gives a narrowingly glare before turning around.
When they were close to escaping, the mayor finally noticed them lowered his hand, and called out to his daughter. "Riko!" She tenses up, red covering her face as she glanced at her father. Everyone stared at her, not even tearing their eyes away. "Straighten up!" As said, she fixed her posture and hurried on, not wanting to be seen by anyone again as (Y/n) and Sadako caught up to her.
"He's even strict on his family." A woman muttered, making the mayor notice, and sighed before returning to his speech. The three pickers watch the girls go, one of them giggling and remarking. "So embarrassing."
"Sucks to be her."
Shortly enough, they were far away. Both Sadako and (Y/n) frowned at their friend. "Riko?" The sound of being called just made her purse her lips and creased her brows. "In front of everybody, too." The (H/c)ette's face remained the same before a small idea popped into her head. She turned to her bag and zipped it open, hand digging through the continents before finding the object. She returned her gaze at Riko and smiled. "Rikooo~ I got your favorite snack!"
Said girl jerked her head at the sound of the word snack and grinned when she saw it. Snatching it, she shrieked. "Thank you, (Y/n)-chan!"
"Aw, where's my snack?"
"Go starve."

Sitting in their classroom, the students were silent, listening to chalk scraping against the chalkboard as students open to their notebooks. Grabbing her supplies out, (Y/n) flips open her notebook, glancing at a few past notes before opening a new one. But when she did, her body came to a halt. Inside the page was unfamiliar handwriting she couldn't decipher.
Who are you?
This could've been Sadako's doing; knowing her, she's usually the mischievous one out of the three, but then again, (Y/n) memorized both girls' handwriting since they were kids. She furrowed her brows and brought her face close to the page, a confused hum letting out as she studied it. Maybe she wrote one late night and was too tired to erase it. She always did that when there were upcoming tests or exams, but she can't recall doing either.
She was so engrossed with the writing that she didn't realize her teacher had stopped writing and finished it was a pink circle. The teacher gently smiled at her students as she glanced over her shoulder. "Tasokare" means "who's that in the gloom," and it's where the word "gloaming" comes from." She turns to face her students, putting the chalk downs and then putting her arms against each other. "You know what "the gloaming" is, right? It's twilight when it's neither day nor night. When the world blurs, and you might encounter something not quite human."
She turns back towards the chalkboard and writes another word down. "Other expressions include "afterlight" and "eventide."
"S'cuse me!" A student calls, "What about "half-light"?"
(Y/n) just kept flipping through her pages, trying to see if she could find more of that unfamiliar writing, but unfortunately, she couldn't. Only "Who are you?" was the only thing she could find. "I think that's a local dialect." The teacher continued. "I hear that Itomori's elderly still use old-timey language here and there."
"We're on the boonies, ain't we?
The students laugh, while (Y/n) doesn't. She is still not paying attention. She checks to see if there are other messages, but again, still none, so she returns to the original page, puts her index finger and thumb under her chin, and ponders.
Who are you?
"Let's see... (L/n)?"
Perking up, she quickly looks and stands up, holding her book. "Here!" The whole class looked at her, her teacher smiling as she chuckled. "Oh, so you remember your name today." The entire class erupts in laughter yet again, except her friends and someone else, who looks at her. (Y/n) furrows her brows, a sweat forming at the side of her cheek as she tilted her head.

"You honestly don't remember?"
"No."
"Yesterday, you forgot where your desk and locker were, and you even tried skipping class! Even when you did show up, though, you fell asleep 15 minutes in. I had to share my notes with you, but you didn't even care to look at them."
After they had done their morning classes, lunch hour had arrived. The high school is on the far side of the lake, nestled high in the hills, giving everyone the beautiful school scenery. The girls were sitting outside by a small baseball field. Riko and Sadako were eating their lunches while (Y/n) had finished hers and drank a juice box as they sat underneath a tree sitting on school desks.
"You had bedhead, no bracelet, and even wearing sandals to school before I pushed you back home to get your outdoor shoes." Sadako finished. The thought of what her friends said confused her, making her shake her head and look at them with embarrassment. "What? No way. Really? I mean, it's not a surprise that I want to skip, but I never actually do it..." Riko nodded, sipping her drink. "It was like you had amnesia."
"Well," (Y/n) placed her juice box down, "I do feel like I've been in a strange dream recently. Like a dream about someone else's life? It's pretty fuzzy, though." Sadako thought, going into a thinking mode before holding her index finger up. "I've got it. That must have been..." She reaches behind her, digging through her bag while Riko and (Y/n) watch. Finally, she sits back up, flipping through the pages before showing it to them and pointing at the passage. "your previous life! Or maybe your subconscious is linked to the Everett multiverse."
She suddenly gets hit in the forehead by a juice box at a considerable pace. She winced, narrowing her eyes at Riko, and grumbled. "What the hell!"
"You shut your piehole."
"Why you..."
"Oh!" Riko and Sadako turned to look at (Y/n) when she exclaimed. The (H/c)ette stood up and pointed at her friend accusingly. "Sadako, were you the one who was scribblin' in my notebook?" Sadako's shoulders just slumped, and she furrowed her brows. "Huh? What makes you think I did it every time?" (Y/n) just sighs and sinks back in her seat. "Never mind." A shared glance was shared with the girl's friends. "You were a little touched in the head yesterday. You been feelin' all right?" Riko questions, and both girls were sharing a worrisome expression.
They receive a frown as she slips down her seat, half her body now on the chair. "That's so strange. I feel just fine."
"Maybe it's stress? Your performance is coming up, isn't it?"
"Aw, don't remind me! I can't take this town anymore!" (Y/n) whined, throwing her hands in the air. "It's small. It's suffocating. I just want to graduate and go to Tokyo." Riko nods in agreement, putting her chin on her palm. "For sure. There's nothin' out here." She then glanced over at Sadako, then looked away. 'Well, maybe there is one...' Sadako then laughs, standing from her seat and then going to (Y/n). She threw her arm over her shoulder and grinned. "C'mon, it can't be that bad. What about Ruuysei Yuta-san, huh?"
"What about him?" She perked. Sadako grinned deviously and muttered. "Y'know he's been eyeing you a lot in class. I think he has a crush on you~." Riko huffed. "Oh, knock it off, Oka..."
"I'm being serious, Iko. The dude has been ogling at her like she's the first woman to exist." Riko rolled her eyes while the ponytail ravenette returned her gaze to her friend. "What do you think of him, huh? He's playing with his friends right behind us." The (H/c)ette glanced behind her shoulder and searched for his figure. Finally, it landed on him. He had an undercut and fluffy dark brown or black hair. He was attractive, yeah, but what did she think of him?
"He's good-looking, I'll give you that," She looks back at Sadako, "but I never thought of him that way."
"Aw, c'mon! Even if you don't, you could give him a try."
"But I never thought of him that way."
"Fine if you say so... But if youโ"
"Okay, enough! Class is going to start soon!"

The school had ended, and the three were making their way back home. Riko and (Y/n) walked by as Sadako decided to ride her bike. They were back to the subject of complaints about the town and how there's nothing for them to enjoy. "Trains come every two hours."
"The store closes at 9."
"No bookstore. No dentist for some reason."
"But two pubs for some reason."
"Can't get a job."
"Can't get married."
"Can't even see the sun when it gets late."
They walked all over town, still complaining about everything, making Sadako grow irritated, and abruptly stopped her bike. "Give me a friggin' break!"
"What?" They simultaneously say, making her form sweat and a sheepish smile. She closed her eyes, sighing quickly before smiling. "I mean... how 'bout we stop by a cafe?" The girls immediately gasped with excitement, closing the space between them and Sadako. "What? A cafe?"
"Where?!"
What she meant by cafe was a vending machine. How tragic. Sadako and Riko sit on a rusty bench by a road. Weeds and dirt surround the patchy grass, and Riko uses a cinderblock as a footrest. The neighborhood Shiba Inu sleeps by Sadako's feet while someone on a moped drives. (Y/n), on the other hand, she was nowhere to be found. The girls sat in silence, greeting the driver, drinking their cans, and then sighing.
"This is a cafe?" Riko narrowed her gaze, eyeing her. "You know there isn't one." The brunette eventually dropped her narrowed gaze as she looked down at the can in her hands. "(Y/n) just headed on home." There was a slight pause. Riko then looks up from her lap and up to where the girl's house is at. "I hope she's doing okay." The ravenette agrees. "Well, she has been practicing playing the flute for her solo for months now."
"Yeah."
The dog had then woke up and looked at Sadako, its tail wagging at the sight as she smiled down at it and started petting its head and scratching its chin. Riku gazes at them, studying her face before feeling herself turn red. "Hey, Sadako?" She only hummed, acknowledging that she was listening as she grinned at the dog and gave it a noogie. "What are you doing after you graduate?" She frowns, grabbing the dog's paws. "Why are you asking? You wanna know?" Riko formed a gentle smile and nodded. All Sadako did was shrug and focus her attention back on the animal. "I don't know, really, nothin' special probably."
She dropped the dog's paws and looked to her right, gazing in silence before turning to Riko and forming a grin. "I figure I'll keep living my life here. Although, I'm going to miss you guys when you move away.." Her grin drops into a sorrowful one. "If you do go, though... promise we'll talk three times a week?" Riko seemed taken aback at this. It was rare for the girl to be serious, and it always caught her off guard when she did. Eventually, though, she smiled and nodded.
"I will."

(Y/n) sat at her desk, chin resting on her right palm right he stared at her bracelet on her left hand. She hadn't noticed, but it was pretty dirty. The color that was once bright was now dull and saturated, almost empty. Her door was being knocked on, making her turn around and watch as her mom entered the room. "Hiii! I made us your favorite curry as good luck for tonight!" She received a smile back. "Thanks." She ripped her gaze away and looked at the bracelet. "Uh, mom," She looked up. "it got dirty again, and I don't know how to do it, so..."
"Did you forget again?"
"...maybe."
Her mother pointed her finger at her. "Pay attention this time, ya hear?!
"Yes, ma'am!"
Soon enough, they were in the kitchen; her mom had soaked the bracelet in the soaped water, squeezing it every so often to get the dirt out. "Y'know, your dad originally made this bracelet for me." She smiled bittersweetly. (Y/n) perked up. It was rare for her mom to open up about her dad. She knew that he had died of an illness; when they met, it felt like they already had a connection, and how they got married. Bringing up the topic of her father always made her mom sad, so she never asked unless she brought it up.
"Really?" She inquired. The mother nodded, feeling the texture in her hands. "It was an after-gift after he proposed to me. He said he made it with a friend of his for quite a while and wanted to give it to me. Even though it's simple, it's still lovely to see it." She paused. "Reason why I gave it to you is cause I felt like it suited you more than me." She chuckled. It was silent after that. Just the sound of water and squeezing was heard.
"There! All done!" Her mother handed the bracelet to her, still wet as her daughter held it at the tip of her fingers. "Use a blowdryer if you're going to wear it tonight. Now, hurry on; we don't got time to waste!" She grinned as (Y/n) did the same and hurried her way to get ready.
Meanwhile, at Sadako's place, her father, the mayor, and a bunch of his co-workers were having a night together, eating sushi, drinking alcohol, chatting, and discussing plans for the town's future. Sadako had poured herself some sweet tea, drinking it out of her glass cup before smirking over at the men. "I smell corruption~."
"Don't talk nonsense!" Her mother intervened, spooking her as she placed the salad on the table. The kitchen door then slides open as the daughter and mother watch their husband and father demand an order. "Hey! Bring us some more hot sake." The mom nodded quickly and went to work as Sadako rolled her eyed. "Sadako," She glanced at her old man, "go on the site this weekend. Get some time in on explosives work."
She placed her arms on the table and looked to her right. "I don't even know how to use the damn computer because you didn't properly teach me..."
"What was that?!"
"I said all right!"
Sadako eventually went to her room, sliding it shut as she sipped the cup she had brought before putting it on her desk. She walked over to her balcony door, sliding it open. Lit by the moonlight, Sadako leans by the balcony. The soft chirp of crickets and rustling winds muffle the sounds coming inside. A gentle breeze of an instrument is playing afar. She looks to her left to see a glowing shrine in the distance, the sound of a flute playing faintly. The thought of Riko flashes in her mind as a soft sigh was slowly let out.
"We've both got it rough, huh?
_________ ืืเซขเผเผเฟ
Near the shrine is a stage raised above the ground. Charms hang from the ceiling as two torches light the surrounding areas. People gather to see (Y/n)'s flute solo and the tale of two sisters played by twins who live in the town. They were wearing maiden attires, and the twins danced as (Y/n) perfectly played her flute. The fire crackles, and not one person makes a sound, concentrating on the performance in front of them.
The twins are in perfect sync, listening to the flute play as they move on with their next move, (Y/n) ignores her surroundings and focuses on the sound of her music. The twins then flick a folding fan, the sound creating impact as they spin slowly. "Those twins are doing amazing." One commented. "I never knew (Y/n) was so skillful with the flute..." Uttered another.
Standing beside the two on a balcony is Riko, watching the performance quietly. Then suddenly, Sadako makes an appearance, making the brunette perk up. "Hey." Riko smiled. "Hey." She turned her attention back to (Y/n)'s music as Sadako smiled at her friend and leaned her elbows on the railings. They watch in silence as the twins slowly stop dancing when (Y/n)'s music dies down. No one claps tho as the performers move on to the second act with the twins begin acting the tale.
"Just a few hours ago, she was fussy about how she was getting worried about it, but look at her, she's doing great!" Sadako gleamed, making Riko nod silently. From the back, the three classmates from before, Kazuya and his harem, Naomi and Mami, arrive at the scene in the back of the crowd. "Look, it's (L/n)." Kazuya ushers, making the girls pace over and giggle. They watch her play the flute when suddenly (Y/n) puts her finger on the wrong note but quickly corrects herself.
She can hear the snickers of the girls. "She can't probably play the flute, can she?" Mami giggled.
"Isn't she embarrassed?"
"I can't believe it."
(Y/n) can feel a sense of dread flowing within the crowd; she opened her eyes, scanning the crowd as she noticed those three. She swallowed her pride and quickly went back to concentrating, oblivious that Riko and Sadako caught (Y/n) looking at them and grumbled. "Can't they go somewhere else for once, dammit? They do this for no reason." Riko nodded. "It's like they don't have anything on their schedule except bother the hell out of us..."
Eventually, the performance ended, and everyone then clapped for their efforts.
_________ ืืเซขเผเผเฟ
Everyone then went home except her friends. Her mom had to go home early because she needed to wake up early, but she did show up and show her support. After changing out of the maiden clothes, she steps outside the dressing room with the clothes in hand. Riko and Sadako lean against a pole until they see her come out. "(Y/n)! You did amazing!" Sadako complimented.
"Thank you, but those three were here." She grumbled, making Riko groan. "Forget about them. They just want reactions out of us and see your downfall because you do better than them." (Y/n) puffed, walking ahead of the two. "Must be nice being carefree sometimes." They soon caught up to her, walking a stone trail. "Hey," Sadako began, "your performance gained a lot of donations, y'know, why not use it and go to Tokyo?"
"Sadako, you realize that's for the community, not just me?" (Y/n) rose a brow. "I mean, people were bound to take pictures of it. You can sell it or do some behind-the-scene recordings," Riko added as they reached the stairs and started to descend. "Name it "The Tragic Tale of the Cursed Sisters" or somethin'. It'll sell!" (Y/n) did think about it, but the more her imagination took, the more she started to despise it. If anything, if the play were to get famous, she wouldn't even get the recognition she wanted. She'll just be that person that did the flute.
"No! No one's going to know me anyway!" She whined, stomping away from them while they were left confused. "That's the problem?" Riko muttered the raventte. Once (Y/n) had reached the second stairs, she stood right underneath the entrance. She closed her eyes, her voice shouting into the night as she hollered. "I'm sick of this town! I'm sick of this life! All I do is repeat this cycle and never feel anything exciting!" She paused, then screamed out.
"Please make me into a hot rebellious Tokyo guy in my next life!"
Her voice echoed throughout the entire town. The neighbors probably heard that shout. Her friends looked at her dumbfoundedly and with judging eyes, then sighed as they continued walking down. "Truly an idiot."
Unaware, though, her wish did come true.
