018. Canon Events..

NUEVA YORK, EARTH- 928.
chap 18. canon events !
WARNING : long chapter

"My name is Miguel O'hara."

In the main base area of the Spider Society building, up on his high lifted platform for his work, Miguel was watching over many different clips to do with canon events, any anomalies and most importantly, (Y/N) Morales.

His eyes focused on the frozen picture of her smiling face, with another familiar person inside of it in her arms as well, in a oh so heart throbbing memory he wanted to experience again, but knew he couldn't.

Another recorded memory popped up next, and it was the two same people, but this time Miguel was seen in there getting ice cream pushed his face by a young child, all laughing happily like it was normal for them.

Moving his attention away from that, he watched a clip of the current group walking towards where he was, which had (Y/N) inside of it, his main focus.

"I'm this dimension's one
and only Spiderman."

Reaching over to near his desk panel full of controls, he picked up a green tube of something and grabbed a injection gun in his other suited hand.

"Or, at least I was."

He places the rapture medicine inside the injecting gun, and clips it into place, as his suit deforms on his left shoulder to leave his brown skin bare. He shoots the needle inside his shoulder, and injects the drug he couldn't function without.

"But I'm not like the others."

Because of the drug being infused into his blood, his DNA began to change again to spice with a Spiders, and it caused his eyes to shine over with a scarlet hue in the pupils.

"I don't always like what I have to do."

Miguel puts down the injection gun back in its holder beside the drugs, and turns to the many orange screens in front of him. He swipes a few away with his fingers, not worrying about them right now, and pressed on a bigger screen that brought up even more important information, about a certain someone.

It showed seconds, minutes, hours, and even days to countdown something happening, and the closer it got, the more Miguel was going to end up destroying the multi-verse. That if it wasn't stopped, or well, saved.

On the other side of the screen, it had what the Spot was currently up to and it showed nothing good for the multi-verse, nor the woman he loved, he knew that.

"But I know I have to be the one to do it, that's if I want to save her. I've given up too much to stop now."

......

A big metal door leading into more of the HQ walkways opened up for the group to pass through, as Gwen and Hobie were leading the Morales siblings behind them, who were glancing around curiously at the new environment.

"Bet this doesn't even do anything." Hobie talks to the siblings behind him, as he turned to them and pulled off something on the wall to show off.

(Y/N) giggled a little amused at his behaviour, and was eating the last of the food she had gotten from the cafeteria before coming here, "Maybe it did, before you ripped it out of the wall." She half scoffed, though he would tell she was messing around.

Hobie shrugs a little with a smirk, and snatches the rest of her food out of her hands, causing the girl to gasp offended, "Propaganda, luv." He spoke while eating her food, and wiped his mouth before snatching something else in his jackets pockets, "It'll distract you from the truth."

Miles grimaced with a scoff at their interaction, becoming a protective brother like always when it came to her, and narrowed his eyes on Hobie, "And what's that?"

Hobie raised his arms up casually, and fell in walk beside (Y/N) lazily, hands sliding into his jackets pockets, "I ain't got a Scooby doo, mate." He stole something else from the wall above them quickly, "'Cuz that's what they want."

The Morales girl shot Hobie a confused look at his answer, and went to open her mouth to say something, but stopped once more spotting a camera hidden up near the roof, watching them closely. She clicked her tongue at this, and glanced forward, not giving the one behind the camera the time of day.

"Why do you wanna be a part of this stuff?" At Hobie's sudden serious question, the two siblings moved their heads towards him with furrowed brows, never really putting much thought in it. Well, Miles has, just not (Y/N).

"To get a watch." Miles answered like it was that simple for him, and it caused his sister to hit his chest softly with her palm, giving him a incredulously look.

"Make your own watch." Hobie mused through a lopsided smile, as it walked sideways beside them, and flipped a piece of metal in one of his hands.

Miles made a scoffing noise again, and brushed off the comment from the male, as he goes to get closer to their faces, and leans on a pillar next to (Y/N), "Bet you two got a nice setup, huh? Nice parents?"

At the mention of the last word (Y/N) glanced down at the ground away from Hobie's attractive face, and sighed sadly remembering their last encounter, "Not my real parents, but they're nice." She mumbled quietly, and Miles frowned hearing her response, "I mean, we got in a fight, but... I know they just want what's best for us. So.."

"Eh, that's a bloody shame Red." Hobie wrapped one of his arms around her shoulder, and brought her into his side as she yelped at it, and looked up at his smiling figure.

She placed one of her hands against his thin shirt, and gently pushed herself out of his hold, as she watched him drop into a chair, "Why's that?" She questioned curiously, while tugging on Miles' wrist to pull him up beside her.

Hobie foled his hands behind his head, and his legs against the table nonchalantly, "'Cuz you're not ready for everybody else." He spoke with a shoulder shrug, and smirked amused when she pushed his legs off the table to walk past him.

He slipped out of the chair to catch up with the siblings, and gently bumped his shoulder against the girls one to gain her attention, "Listen to me, luv. The whole point of being Spiderman is your independence." He tells her seriously, and glanced between the two, "Being your own boss, you don't need all this!"

"Then why are you here?" Miles fired back in their defence, and half turned his body to the male walking behind them now, still picking up random things for later.

"Looking our for your sister, and my drummer, is all." Hobie retorted casually while pulling off a small device off the wall above him, and (Y/N) made a surprised noise hearing his words, wondering why he was like this.

Miles snatched the object out of Hobie's hands with a scowl, feeling a bitter feeling creeping out on him, "I want to be in a band." He pushes a finger into Hobie's chest, "And I'm positive my sister doesn't need your help." He grunted with venom, and roughly placed the object in his hands on the desk beside them, "We wanna see our friends, and we need a watch to do that."

Hobie hummed to himself lowly while giving Miles a side eyed look, as he came up to walk beside a quiet (Y/N) like always again. He saw her conflicted expression plastered on her face, and it made him sigh.

She honestly didn't want to be here, didn't want to see Miguel after all the times he's told her to not come to the Spider Society, but now look where she ended up. In the very place he said not to go, and had a very sick feeling something bad was going to happen because of that. Not to anyone around her though... to herself.

"Guys, come on." Gwen calls out tiredly from in front of them, as she turned around with her arms crossed over her chest, getting annoyed by their agruing.

Hobie raised his hands up in surrender, "Alright. Squashed." He moved to walk behind the siblings, and bent down to Miles' level a little bit, as he knew the girl would still hear anyway, "Just don't enlist until you know about who you're fighting."

(Y/N) felt a sudden churn in her stomach at his serious tone followed by those words, and looked at Hobie with wide eyes, wondering what exactly they did here at the Spider Society. She was going to open her mouth to ask, but he just made a 'shush' motion with a finger to his lips, and nodded his head in front of them.

She instantly regretted turning around to face the front, cause what she saw made her heart start to pound faster, and stomach to drop horrible. Walking up into a barely lit room, up above on his slowly descending machine was Miguel O'hara, with his back facing them.

Miles was moving his spot at how long the machine was taking, and was itching to say something to the leader of the Spider-lings here. Whereas (Y/N), well she was close to having a panic attack, and breaking down into laugher seeing how dramatic Miguel's entrance was becoming.

Gwen held up a hand when Miles turned to her for answers, and spoke in a whispering voice to them both, "Yeah, I know. It's slow. But... it's his thing." She looked back at the machine, as it was now a bit closer to the floor, "Miguel O'hara? Meet Red's younger brother, Miles Morales."

(Y/N) gulped nervously as she tried her best to hide behind the teens, and saw Miguel's broad back coming into view more, sending a rush of emotions through her. She glanced back over her shoulder briefly, and spotted Hobie perched on the wall, sensing him watching over her and the others.

Miles laughed a little as he waved his hand in greeting, having no clue what the history was between this man and his sister, "Hey! ¿Qué tal, tío?" He calls out, and chuckles proudly, "Yeah, I speak Spanish. Te traje una empanada-'

A sudden red web was shot in between the three's body, as (Y/N) yelped in alarm when the web had almost hit her chest. They all watched as the box in Miles' hands was brought up to where Miguel was, him now holding the food in one hand.

"Qué maravilla." He rasped in his deep voice, and dropped the box without a second thought, as he was now in a professional mind set, which was both great and terrible.

(Y/N)'s stiff figure tensed up even more when Miguel's glaring eyes land on her, just seeing now they softened the slightest seeing her again, but it wasn't enough to stop her from being on edge now. This was another facade of Miguel's she's never had the pleasure to witness, and she didn't know if she should be worried or not.

"Uh, me and Red are really excited to get going. We got some-" Miles began to talk in a quick rant, breaking the tense atmosphere in the room between the group, as Miguel's gaze move to her brother now.

"Oh? Great." Miguel smiled through his gritted teeth, completely being sarcastic as he could feel his rage rising, and rising with each passing moment. It didn't help either when the one person he said shouldn't come here, had indeed come here, and completely ignored all of his pleads to not do so.

Miles walked forward a little while he was still ranting to the boss man, and looked up at his higher figure, "fresh new ideas on how to catch the Spot-"

That smile on Miguel's face shifted into a pissed off smirk, and rolled his shoulders slowly, as his nods heads in fake agreement, "Oh, wow! Uh-huh, uh-huh-" He throws a garbage bin down at them with a grunt, and quiet forcefully also.

"Whoa!" (Y/N) exclaimed in shock at this, not expecting it from him and pulled Miles' out of the way with her from the incoming object, that landed on the ground with a loud thump.

"They're worried about Spot." Miguel grumbled to himself with a low growl, and pointed to his chest with a loud yell down at the siblings, "I'll worry about Spot!"

She felt a bit offended at Miguel's words, as she had every right to be concerned about the Spot matter, since he was the one who literary ruined her childhood, or did Miguel forget already? Wouldn't surprise me... she thought, and sighed heavily, "What did we do now, O'hara?"

Behind them on the small desk still Hobie shot a web out to grab the empanada in the box, and pulled it to himself to maybe eat it. Gwen frowned up at Miguel, and motioned to the siblings beside her, "Miguel! It's not her fault, nor is it his-!"

(Y/N) was quick to make a 'huh' sound hearing this, and narrowed her eyes down on Gwen confused, but suddenly flinched a bit when Miguel rose his voice down at her, "You blew another hole in the multiverse, Red!"

She cowered back at his tone, as she's never heard him get this angry with her before, and her mouth parted in shock looking up at Miguel's huffing figure. She didn't even know what to say, and was at a loss for words, thought she knew one thing. The anger she once felt for this man, was now starting to surface again, and it showed by the growing red streaks in her locks.

"You can't blame her for that! She's still learning, just like Miles!" Gwen tried to defend them both again, as she outstretched a hand in front of (Y/N) a little behind her with Miles.

"But you knew, Gwen." Miguel spoke through his gritted teeth, and pointed two fingers at her in emphasis, causing her to deflate. His head then snapped over to Hobie, clenching his jaw tightly as he spotted Hobie behind (Y/N) now, and grunted out, "And you... I specifically told you to stay away from her!"

Hobie just raised his eyebrows up, and smirked a bit cockily as he slang an arm around her shoulder casually, challenging Miguel, "Well mate, when you're treating Red like shit, what else am I supposed to do, eh?"

Miguel's eye twitched as he scrunched his knuckles up by his sides, eyes only holding fury and a feral look that would surely killed Hobie by now, "I'm gonna try and ignore you." He scoffed with slight disgust, jealousy really bringing the worst outta him, and tilted his head away from Hobie directions, "I just can't with you."

"I'm not even here." Hobie appeared back on the desk to lay down on it like it was his bed, as he folded his legs against his guitar, chuckling lowly, "Or here."

It was silent for a few minutes in an uncomfortable way, that had (Y/N) gripping the ends of her locks to ease the throbbing pain she felt coming on, and felt the intense stare of Miguel's eyes on her from up above. That was until a familiar voice broke the silence, "Hey, Miguel! Come on, go easy on the kids. They had a terrible teacher!"

Peter B Parker was walking upside down along the roof, wearing a pink sleeping gown with his Spider suit underneath, and a baby carrier around his shoulders. He eat the last of his food, wiping off the crumbs and hanged off the wall with one hand, "Miles had no chance, but Red could of!"

The siblings faces brightened up seeing their old friend, and teacher again after so long, "Peter!" (Y/N) squeals with a loud laugh, and run up to into his open arms for a hug, while Miles followed behind her lead.

"Oh, boy!" Hobie began to talk in an exclaim, as he leant up from his position, and slipped his hands into his jackets pockets, "Humbling reality Spiderman as arrived."

"(Y/N)!" Peter greeted happily as he wrapped his arms around her figure in a fatherly embrace, one behind her head, and the other was around her back, as he squeezed her tightly, "How you doing, kid?"

He pulled back from the hug, but kept his hands on her shoulders to look over her. Peter spotted the streaks in her hair when his eyes landed on her face, and frowned deeply knowing what this meant. He didn't want to make her panic over it, so it quickly changed expressions into a grinning one, "Look at you two! You're growing up on me! You look great, kids!'

"Eh... you look solid. Y'know? You look good." Miles fumbled for a compliment at the adult, and patted Peter's shoulder after they shared a hug, while smiling crookedly.

"Define solid." Peter mused with a chuckle, and gently fist pumped the boys chest, as he goes to lift up Miles' arms to see his suit, "What happened? You bleeding from your armpits?" He moved onto (Y/N)'s suit, and smirked proudly seeing she hasn't changed it since they worked together on it, "Good job for keeping it intact Red."

She snickered amused with the back of her hand up to her mouth, feeling much better now that Peter was here with them, and she finally noticed the baby carrier on his chest, "Hold up, is that what I think it is-?!"

A sudden small figure flying upside down on a web passes in between them, as Mayday, Peter's child squeals excitedly, and flips up onto the ceiling.

"You have a baby! Congrats Pete!" (Y/N) exclaims through a bright smile, nudging her shoulder against his as she looked back at Mayday climbing, and for whatever reason then landed on Miguel's grumbling figure. She hated how she was thinking of that with him, and despised it even more when she sensed he felt it as well.

"I have a baby." Peter repeats her words in confirmation, and squeezes her shoulder with a gentle smile, before calling out to his baby, "Don't forget to keep your little day pass on, honey!" His eyes moved back down to the siblings, "Oh, I thought you had Miguel's watch Red? I didn't know they made those day passes for adults."

(Y/N) chuckled nervously at this, and rocked back and forth on her kneels in her spot, as she began to slide back to where Mayday was, not wanting to answer Peters question. Mayday jumped down into the girls open arms with a squeal, and grinned up at her goofily, as she nuzzled (Y/N)'s cheek with her own.

"Ha! I knew I was gonna regret making her that web shooter." Peter comments watching Mayday swing back up onto the roof again, and he goes to pick her up safely, "I shouldn't have done it. That's an actual mistake."

Mayday drops out of her fathers arms again with a squeal, and lands into (Y/N)'s ones once more, who chuckled amused at the little girl. Mayday cooed up at her, and began to play with her half (H/C) locks, very unware of how Miguel's longing gaze was trained on (Y/N) as she held Mayday.

"Hey, wanna see pictures?" Peter brightens up at the idea he said, quickly snatching one of Mayday and the young woman with his phone, before appearing behind the teens, "Look a this, Oh, she's incredible! This is her funny face. Oh, that's her made face. This one is the studious one."

He was swiping through many photos on his phone of Mayday happily, "Watch out, the next one, you're gonna crack up! Oh, Miguel's gonna die." He cackles like a mad man, and swings up to where Mayday was crawling over Miguel, "Look at this one!"

"I'm trying to hold a serious adult conversation, here." Miguel kept a straight face and figure, as he felt Mayday crawling all over him, and lifted his arm a little when she wanted to pass though.

"You know, you're the only Spiderman who isn't funny." Peter complains with raised eyebrows, and wacked the back of his hand against Miguel's arm, "I don't know how Red deals with you, we're supposed to be funny!"

"The fate of the multiverse-"

Peter groaned annoyed, and slumped his shoulders back, "You always lose me with that!" He went to mimic Miguel's voice, as he had caught Mayday in his hands when she fell off his broad shoulders, "You say, 'the fate of the multiverse', which literally translates to '(Y/N)-!' and my brain dies!"

Miguel kept his stone cold look up as he passed Mayday to her father, and bridely shot Peter a nasty glare at his teasing, though was ignored, "You guys smell that? Mayday took a crap." Peter deadpanned, and swinged back down to the ground again, "Yup! She's a parker."

(Y/N) snickered amused watching this as Peter was behind them all, and was going to change Mayday's nappy on a massive web made by her father. Her attention was taking away quickly however, when Miguel's deep voice called her name surprisingly.

"You disrupted a canon event." His words felt like bitter coming out of his mouth, not wanting to be this straight forward with her, but it was the only way, "And now, you suffer the consequences of it. More then you do already."

Her face scrunched up in confusion at this, as she was hearing more and more information that made no sense, nor has he ever told her about. Peter was fast to come to her defence luckily, "She's selfless like that, you know how she doesn't think. That's not how they work!"

(Y/N) sighed heavily with a head scratch and turned back around to the man whom held her heart, confused expression shown, "What are you even upset about, Miguel? Me and Miles saved those people."

"And that's the problem." He rasped as he swiftly leapt down from the platform, and focused his frowning red gaze on her. It did make his heart hurt seeing her wounded reaction, but pushed that away and spoke to the AI around them, "Lyla? Do the thing."

Lyla's hologram form appeared above (Y/N)'s head with a cheeky smile, and then popped up next to Miguel's shoulder, "Huh? What thing?"

"What-what do you mean, 'what thing?'" Miguel grumbled with a incredulously look at the hologram, as he knew damn well she was embarrassing him on purpose in front of Red Venom, "The information explaining thing!"

"...Okay." Lyla raised her hands up and made a pulse of yellow light flow over the entire floor. It turned the lighting dark in the room, and a floating blue ball of light appeared in between them all.

"What's this?" Miles asked curiously seeing the little ball of light, and came to stand next to his sister in front of Miguel near the light.

His scarlet eye moved down from the light also, and tilted his head to the side as he answered simply, "This... is everything." When he said that, the ball dropped into the centre of the floor, and made a long beautiful, hologram tree that sprouted many different brunches.

(Y/N) picked the skin underneath her nails nervously, and gulped as she poked her head around the tree to talk to Miguel, "Can you be.... a little more specific, bug-boy?"

Miguel slightly tensed at the familiar nickname, trying to ignore his heating up ears, and raised his eyebrows up at her, lips in a roughish smile, "Can you not talk for a second, Roja?"

She scowled at the name coming out of his mouth, but sighed in understanding, as she stepped back in line with her brother, who sent her a confused stare, wondering how they already knew each other. Though, that was an issue for some other time.

"This, here..." A bunch of orange webs began to form in the air around them, all connected into many different lines to show the many life's, "This is all of us. All of our lives woven together, in a beautiful web of life and destiny." Miguel's red eyes were on (Y/N) as he explained that.

Miles hummed in acknowledgement. as he glanced around at the view around them interged, "The Spiderverse."

"The Spiderverse?" Miguel repeated with big eyes, and looked to the side with a frown, "Huh, that's... stupid." He insulated easily, and went to correct Miles, "It's called the Arachno-Humanoid Poly-Multiverse." He spotted her amused expression, and grumbled lowly, "Which sounds... stupid too, I guess."

Miles nudged his head once with a knowing smile, and lifted up a hand to just graze one of the main web connects were, seeing pictures inside them of past memories of other Spider-lings,"And these nodes, where the minds converge?"

"They are the canon. Chapters that are a part of every Spider's story, every time." Miguel explained as he came up a bit behind (Y/N)'s turned figure looking at the nodes, "Some good... some bad..." His scarlet eyes glaze over a sadder shade staring at the girl, and reaches up to bring an object down to project a line of images, "some very bad."

A line of Spider people with their loved one, father, uncle or best friend dying in their arms, all shown to be in a constant loop that would never be broken. The last one brought a stinging feeling to (Y/N)'s eyes, as she saw her Uncle Aaron dying in her, and Miles arms, saying his last words to them both.

"Uncle Aaron.." Miles mumbled with a deep frown, and place a hand on his sisters shoulder sensing she was upset, and saw her quickly turn away from the still fresh wound.

"This one, event ASM-90," Miguel motioned to a picture of a young blonde boy getting saved by an older man, from a building almost falling on the boy, "a police captain close to Spiderman dies. Saving a kid from falling rubble during a battle with an arch-nemesis."

Another one popped up which was a human version of Spider-man, kneeling next to Captain Stacy's dead body, sobbing softly over his death, as he held the fathers hands in his own.

(Y/N)'s heart ached in sadness for all the Spider's in the line of the fallen bodies in the arms, realising that this happened to every single one, no matter how hard they tried to stop it. There was too much death  being a Spider-ling, and she wanted to somehow stop that, even if it seemed pointless to do so. Fate was cruel, especially to those who helps others.

The siblings look at all the others around them, as they watch them turn away sadly from the images of their fallen loved ones. (Y/N) catches Hobie's guilty look in his dark eyes, and he looked up to her feeling the stare. The emotion was gone within a second when he blinked slowly, "Eh? What of it?"

"That's how the story's supposed to go." Miguel's somewhat softened tone brought her attention back to him, as he motioned to all the hologram webs around the room, "The canon events are the connections that bind our lives together. And those connections can be broken."

He swallowed hard, a hard look passing over his features now, as his next words were very much a hint at someone, "That's why anomalies... are so dangerous. Inspector Singh's death was a canon event," A hologram of something appeared behind him, as his voice dropped into a dangerous one, directing this at the woman he loved, "You were't supposed to be there, and you weren't supposed to save him, Red."

A hologram video play backed when Red Venom saved the two on the bridge back in Pav's world, followed by when her brother and Gwen were protesting against her going, "That's why I ordered Gwen to not let you get close, and that's why she tried to stop you."

(Y/N) feels a stab to her heart at this, and looked over at Gwen with a look of betrayal, not truly believing she would actually listen to someone like Miguel over her, "I thought you were trying to save me?"

Gwen bites down on her trembling bottom lip, and exhaled shakily as her back was faced away from her best friend, "I was. I..." She scrunches her eyes shut, "I was doing both. You don't understand what this is doing to you, (N/N)."

The (H/C) haired girl frowned in deep confusion hearing the low mumble of Gwen's words, getting really annoyed with how everyone knew something she didn't, how both the Morales' siblings didn't. Though before she could even act on these thought, Miguel was talking.

"And now, (Y/N), because you changed the story," He grabbed the object he used before, and showed the video of her saving the two people again, "Pavitr's dimension is unraveling. If we're lucky... we can stop it. We haven't always been lucky."

She scoffed a little in disbelief at his slight accusing tone, her emotions now building up into a storm inside her that was going to be released, "I was doing my job! Saving people!" She stressed forcefully at the male, and pointed to herself rapidly, "That wasn't me, that was the Spot!"

Miguel walked up to her slowly with his hands on his thin hips, really hating where this was going between them, but if her hating him saved her, then so be it, "It's what happens when you break the canon." He ended up in front of her, as she spotted how his eyes were becoming shiny now, followed by a voice crack, "I should know.... I broke it once myself."

She gasped under her breath in complete shock at this, snapping her head up to him to see his gaze already on her, full of many different emotions being portrayed. Pain, sorrow, and most of all guilt.

"I found another world where I had a family. Where I was happy. At least, a version of me was." A bittersweet smile cross over his lips remembering all those memories he formed in the universe, though it quickly faded knowing what horrible damage wad done because of it, "And that version of myself was killed. So I replaced him. I thought it was harmless."

He paused his explanation to bit back a strangled noise coming out of his throat, almost like whatever he was going to say physical pained him, "But I was wrong, so horribly wrong."

A different hologram video began to play as (Y/N) grips her suits chest material tightly, breathing picking up at the scene she was watching. Inside of the video, the universe was collapsing in on itself, as everything, including humans was disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Miguel's figure in the hologram was running with a little girl in his arms, desperately trying to get her to safety as (Y/N)'s eyes go wide in shock. She felt a sudden pull in her heart towards that child. Almost like she knew the young girl, but that was impossible..... right?

(Y/N) heard the young girl cries up to Miguel for her mother, and him as she watched as the girls body began to disappear in Miguel's arms, leaving him frozen in his place with horror, looking down at what once he had.

"Isn't that right, Peter?" Migue's hollow voice was back talking, as he shut off the hologram for her eyes to see, not ready to show her the entire thing even if he was still keeping the truth from (Y/N), something he sore to never do, but yet.... he was.

"Yeah..." Peter mumbled in agreement, swallowing hard as he turns away from the painful memory, not wanting to have that locked away wound reopen again.

Just before the hologram switched off behind Miguel, (Y/N) caught a small glimpse of another figure inside of his arms, and heard the very faint harsh sobs coming from hologram Miguel's mouth. This sent a bad chill down her spine, not knowing if she could handle the truth or not about that.

"You break enough canon, you save enough captains," Miguel began to tell her in a raspy way, the entire hologram universe disappearing for good, just like it had happened that dreadful day, "and we could lose everything."

She spined around slowly in a circle as all the webs started to break and disappear also to emphasis his words, as she shared a anxiety written look with Miles. However they soon realised something, and it made her feel sick to her stomach, "Our dad is about to be captain.."

No one said anything to their words as they all stared at the siblings with sad, or knowing looks. (Y/N)'s breathing was picking up again as she felt an agonising pain shot down her Spider senses. She clutched the sides of her head with a groan, and scrunched her eyes shut as she soon visions pass through her mind.

Spot was there in her supposed universe destroying everything, breaking building with his new power and ruining what once was a peaceful Brooklyn.

"I'm going to take everything from you..."

He made many cars fly through his black holes into a building, as she saw the figure of her brother passing through the buildings, and went to swoop down to save a child about to be crushed by the falling building. At the same time, Jeff was running towards the child as well, both her family members about to most likely lose their lives for this.

"....like you took everything from me."

Her (E/C) eyes fly open with a choked gasp, and her knees almost buckled under her but Miles quickly caught her in his arms, setting her steady against his side, "S-spot does it.."

She mumbles with her pupils dilated, as she grips onto her brothers suit tightly, causing him to send her many worried looks wondering what she just saw, "H-he kills-" She cut herself off in strangled breathing, and places the back of her suited hand up to her mouth, not ready to say the words.

Miguel sighs shakily to himself, wishing this could of gone a different way for the love of his life, as he dearly wished he could take all her pain and suffering away. But... this was the pirece to pay being a Spider-ling, and he needed, had to save her from her written in stone fate, that he caused, even if it killed him in the process.

Everyone in the room suddenly moved their gazes back into the quiet girl, as they sensed the shift in the aura around her. With her hair covering her eyes, (Y/N) gently moved out of Miles' hold, and scrunched her knuckles up by her sides, "When does it happen?"

Miguel turned his head away from her awaiting gaze to the floor with a clenching heart, not wanting to give her an answer knowing it would break her more. At this, she growls under her breath, and flops her arms out in disbelief, looking at the others for help, "When does it happen?!"

"In two days." The man who she thought she loved finally answered lowly, his eyes still not focused on her as he couldn't bring herself to, "When he's sworn in."

Lyla appears beside Miguel's right shoulder now, and gives (Y/N) a sorrowful glance, "That's.... what the model says."

The (H/C) haired girl shakes her head with wide eyes, and shared a look with Miles who wore the same reaction as her, "Send us home!" She demanded at Miguel, and raised a finger to point at him.

His lips form into a tight lip way, and shakes his head back once, while moving his hand in a straight line briefly, "I can't do that, (Y/N). Not now."

She scoffs bitterly at his answer and gives him a cold stare, "What are we supposed to do?" She exclaimed loudly, and motioned to Miles beside her who was freaking out, "Just let our father die?!" She saw how Miguel's reaction didn't change, causing her angry to rise even higher now.

"Okay, what about Uncle Ben?" Miles also yelled at the other Spider-lings behind them, who weren't saying anything, and marched up to Peter, "That'd've been okay, if you knew, and you just... let it play out?!"

Peter placed a gentle hand on Miles' shoulder to hopefully ease some of the younger male's worries, "If not for Uncle Ben, most of us wouldn't be here, Miles." He showed the webs of many Bens and Peters together, "And all the good we did, it... it wouldn't have been done."

"So we're just supposed to let people die," (Y/N)'s furious voice butted in again hearing the conversation, not backing down as all the mattered was saving her family that meant the world to her, "because some algorithm," She pointed at Lyla who frowned hurt at the word used to describe her, "say that that's supposed to happen?"

The Morales siblings didn't realise that majority of the Spider Society began to surround them, and closed off any escape routes for them to flee from where they were.

"You realize how messed up that sounds, right?" Miles finished off his older sisters words, and gave Miguel an idiotic look as he used his hands for emphasis to get his point across.

"You have a choice between saving one person," Miguel started off as he raised a finger, him already having experience what he was saying and would never let that happen to (Y/N) again, "and saving an entire world. Every world!"

"We can do both!" (Y/N) cried out in distress towards Miguel, only now noticing the Spiders around them more, and diged her fingernails into her suited palms, "Spiderman always-"

"No always." Peter interrupted softly from behind the siblings, as they turn to see him giving them a sad look, that crushed their hopes at him being on their side.

Miguel gently reached his much larger hand out, and cupped the back of (Y/N)'s neck in his palm, directing her attention to him, "We all want to live the life we wish we had." He told her lowly with a soft frown, and felt another sharp pain to his heart when she slapped his hand away from her body, "Believe me, I have tried. And the harder I tried, the more damage I did."

Another half lie flew through his mouth and into her ears, as he still wasn't ready to tell her the truth yet even though it kills him to lie to her, "You can't have it all, Roja." He lowered his voice so it was audible for them to only hear only, and gives her a remorseful look, "Being Spiderman is a sacrifice. That's the job. That's what you signed up for."

She never so badly in her life wanted to punch his handsome face so badly. What he was saying sounded to stupid, there job was to save people, not let them die. And if there was a way to prevent Spider-lings from sacrificing everything they've ever loved, then the Morales siblings would find it.

"What is this? Is this an intervention or something?" Miles asked in a exclaim seeing all the Spider-lings around them, and went back to back with his sister in the middle of it all, as the spot light shined down on them.

A smaller Spider-man walked up beside a deeply thinking Hobie, and the Peter Parker placed his hands on his hips, sighing sadly at the duo, "We know it's hard. But it's the truth, (Y/N), Miles."

"Is that why you're here?" The (E/C) eyed girl pointed at the main Spiders around her, and then landed on Miguel, feeling a hole lot of betrayal from how he was acting now, "To let us down easy? Worked last time, why not run it back, huh?" Her voice was filled with venom, and everyone knew how mad she was by the way her hair was turning more scarlet now.

Peter raised his hands up to try and calm her down, sensing she was about to explode in a fit of rage, Miles not far behind her, "Hey, hold on, hold-!"

"You were right, O'hara." (Y/N) got up close to Miguel's figure, and shoved a finger into his suits chest, her one eyes that held so much adoration for him now replaced with deep hatred, "You should've never come to see me to begin with."

Miguel faltered at the sudden change of emotion from her, but didn't let it show as his facade was still up even though he was breaking on the inside at her words. Though he didn't blame her, because this was the plan from the very beginning.

"Here we go." Hobie comments from the sidelines with a small smirk, and crossed his hands over his chest, ready to help the siblings when they needed it.

Jessica turns her head to the younger male, and frown at him in a scolding way, "Hobie, you're not helping."

"Good."

(Y/N) shakes her head in disbelief and stands back in line with Miles, as they both felt the stares of everyone around them, "You can't ask us to not save our father."

Miguel scrunches his eyes shut for a second hearing this, and reopened them to look at her with a painful frown, "I'm not asking." He whispered softly, and the siblings suddenly felt something slide underneath their feet.

Before they could eve react to what was happening, a red forcefield cage appeared around them, and trapped them inside it, as they hear the others arguing outside between each other at Miguel.

(Y/N) blew a fuse at this and pressed her palms against the hologram, rage shown on her face, "This isn't over," She declared in a steady voice at Miguel in front of the cage, and bared her teeth at him, "Bastard!"

He exhaled sadly at her insult at him, and gazed at her with a lot of different emotions within his scarlet eyes, "I'm sorry it had to end like this, my love." His tone was barely audible, but she heard it loud it clear as he went to walk away with a heavy heart.

She hits her palms more at the forcefield seeing him walking away, not letting that term of endearment get to her right now, as he was the one who put them in this cage to begin with.

A whistling noise sounded from beside the siblings, and they quickly snap their heads to it, seeing Hobie standing close to the forcefield, motioning to his palms to use against the cage.

The duo's eyes go wide with an sudden idea, and share nods between each other, before pressing their palms to the forcefield. Together in sync, (Y/N) and Miles charged up their venom shot, and fired one directly into the cage holding them, as it sent a massive wave of electricity through the air, making everyone around them be pushed back by the force of it.

Hobie smirks proudly watching this happen, a small amused chuckle escaping him as he used his arm to protect his head.

Everyone was silent once the explosion died, and the siblings were in the middle of the room, breathing heavily as they looked at their palms in awe. With one glance up at Miguel on the floor, (Y/N) didn't think twice as she grabbed Miles' arms, and ran for it.
