TW: panic attack shorta? &
descriptive tears in public

Red Venom's heart races as she hurriedly made her way over to her parents apartment, and up on the roof where Jeff's celebration party was over his promotion. Fumbling to hold onto the bag in her hands, she swiftly slid through an open widow leading upstairs to the roof, and landed onto the floor with a thump.

Miles also joined her inside the building, him skilfully swapping out his Spider suit with his jumper, and normal clothes, as he carried the two cakes. She followed his lead with an impressed grin, and caught the cakes inside their containers when Miles almost dropped them.

Pressing the AI chip that was around her wrist now, her suit disappeared inside of it, and her causal clothes appeared from underneath. Rising her arm up, she shot a web to the ceiling all the way up to the top, and pulled herself up with Miles holding onto her waist.

Once they landed on the top floor, Miles released a heavy breath and pulled off his Spider mask, and took the two cakes from (Y/N)'s hand. They shared a nervous look between each other, just before Miles went to push open the door leading outside.

The bright light of the going down sun had hit them, and the loud, happy noises coming from the party. Anxiety tightened it's grip around (Y/N), as her Spider senses went off, and turned her face away from their parents, who were across the roof looking for the pair.

"Hey, kids!" One of their cousins had greeted them with grin near the door, and they awkwardly smile back, while quickly walking away to avoid their parents.

Many more family members greeted them, or gave them pats on their backs as they walked past, causing the sibling's to move along faster. (Y/N) held the bag Emma gave her of the candles, and party hats, while Miles carried the two cakes in hand.

"Your parents have been looking for you." Another voice of an Auntie called to them, as the duo turned their heads to her with fake confusion, not knowing that Rio and Jeff were behind them.

"I don't know why, we've just been here the whole time." Miles proclaimed with a shrug, just as Rio made a coughing noise, and the siblings both exclaim in shock hearing it.

(Y/N) doesn't face their parent's just yet, as she helped Miles placed down the cakes, and she brought out the hats along with the candles onto the table. She ripped open the packet around the hats, and picked up one in her hand for Jeff later.

"You two were supposed to be here at five!" Rio reminded them with her arms crossed over her chest, and the siblings agree in frantically 'I knows', "You disprected your father! Missed his beautiful toast-"

Miles sucked in air through his teeth, and shuffled his sister over a little so he could get around to the cakes, "Come on, did you even see what we got?" He questioned to distract them, and pulled up the lid on the cakes, "There's some heartfelt messages on these!"

They were supposed to have that, but instead the cakes were completey destoryed with half of the word off, and left 'I'm not' on one, and 'Proud' on the other. Rio and Jeff deapanned in reaction, while Miles' face dropped into a wincing one.

(Y/N) had to stifle her snort with a cough into her fist seeing this, and raised the party hat in her other hand, "Well, at least we still have these..?" She sheepishly spoke, and it caused their parents unimpressed gaze to fall on her, "Its the thought that counts, right?"

Rio sighed heavily with a head shake, "Your dad studied for 8 months." She remined their childern, who went to turn away from them, and walk into the crowd.

"9! It was like giving birth!" Jeff corrected his wife, and went to follow after the siblings, who tried to ignore their banter behind them.

"No it wasn't." Rio hissed back at him with narrowed eyes, and Jeff immediately raised his hands up in surrender, "You made us sit in that office to talk to that lady without you!" She continued on her jabbing, this time being at Miles.

Miles made an annoyed noise, and walked beside (Y/N) through the crowd of their family, dodging a few people, "Gah, it was an emergency!"

"What, a graffiti emergency?"Jeff butted in again with a snappy question, making sure to stay close to his children who were still pushing through the crowd, "A party with some friends I've never met emergency?!"

"Explain yourself." Rio demanded in her soft voice to Miles, as he shook his head with a huff, and looked to (Y/N) for help who was panicking knowing their parents would be up her next.

She spotted the glance from her brother, and reached for his wrist to pull him in front of her, "Seems like you're explaining it well, yourself guys." She starts off with a shrug, "Plus, he was with me anyway."

Rio was a bit stunned at her daughters back chat, never hearing that from before as she humorously scoffed, and went to say something. Though a family member stopped her and Jeff for a second, causing the siblings to try and break for it.

The duo thought they were clear and out of trouble, as their eyes scan for their parents to see them nowhere near them. However, when they looked back in front, Rio and Jeff stood there with suspicious stares.

"Who are you two running around with, anyway?" Rio questioned with raised eyebrows, and got up into their faces to integrate them.

(Y/N) stuttered for response as she had one thought in mind, but knew that wouldn't pan out well telling them, and closed her mouth shut. Jeff spoke snarkly, "Is it Ganke? I never liked him."

"Yes, you did!" Miles reminds knowingly with one eyebrow raised at his father, and tucked a hand into his jackets pocket.

Jeff turns to Rio who was still looking at their kids, "He calls me by my first name." He told her in a judgemental way, and Rio made a disgusted noise hearing it.

"We have more friends than just Ganke." (Y/N) began in a nervous rant, as she played with the party hat still in her hands to ease her anxiety, "Like... uh, Peter. But he left town, umm..." She lies through her teeth, as the siblings had no friends apart from Ganke and each other that they could see, "There's Gwanda. Y'know? She-- she also... left.."

Rio ran a hand down her face tiredly, and placed that same hand on her left hip, "(Y/N), por favor, dame un break."

"Is that Spanglish?" Miles spoke up in questioned from beside his sister, and Rio's face shifted into a disappointed one at his words, "Has it ever occurred to you that maybe, we're just doing benign, private, unremarkable things when we're not with you guys?"

Both of their parent instantly shake their heads in answer, not believing this was the case even though it quite literally was, "Nope. Never."

(Y/N) groaned tiredly as she knew this conversation wasn't going to go anywhere with them, "Mum, dad, I'm in my early twenties, and Miles is fifteen years old!" She argues with a grumble, "I'm basically an adult! Miles is close enough to one."

"You don't even have a driver's license!" Jeff exclaims in bafflement to her claim, not understanding why she didn't have one nor find the motivation to want that freedom, "You should by now, young lady!"

She scrunches her eyes shut momentarily, and motions with both hands forcefully to an unimpressed Rio, "Neither does Mom!" She defends herself, as neither of the siblings could up and tell them about their Spider powers.

"Because we live in New York, and never plan to leave." Jeff told her off confidently, his expression being smart as Rio hums in agreement, staying silent for now.

"It's our life!" Miles' voice was now a bit louder, really getting sick of their constant questioning on him and his sister. Not that he didn't appreciate it, it just gets annoying when their parents couldn't really understand their reasons why.

"It's not your life!" Rios snaps in an surpisngly calm tone, and points to her chest, "It's mine. And your fathers', and your abuelos y abuelas," She motioned to Jeff, and up to the sky next, before landing back on her children, "who put you in this spot I'd give anything to be in."

(Y/N)'s shoulders slump and waves a hand in the air sluggishly to brush Rio off, as she technically wasn't blood related to any of them, and muttered,  "Alright, whatever. Whatever."

The parents faces shift into a stunned one, that was followed by a disbelief stare as Rio narrowed her eyes down, "Whatever?" She repeated offended, and scoffed, "Whatever?!"

Jeff laughs humorously that sounded fake, causing the siblings to share a nervous glance between each other preparing for the worst, "Do I get to say it?" Jeff asked his wife who agreed he could, "Please tell me I can say it."

"You're grounded! The both of you!" Jeff exclaims to them loudly, arms crossed over his chest and (Y/N) made a shocked noise hearing that sudden punishment.

"What?! For how long?"

"A month!" Jeff's gaze shifts to his daughter behind his sunglasses, and was met with her scowling expression, "And you, for the rest of your life!"

She threw her hands up a little frustrated , an clenched her jaw, "You can't ground me, I don't even live with you guys anymore!" She defended herself, and looked between her parents, "I'm also an adult, seriously!?"

"You say you are, but don't act like one." Jeff's voice was now rising a bit louder, also getting annoyed with this argument but not at her, or Miles, at how he's been lacking as a parent lately.

She went to open her mouth to snap back at him, but held her tongue, and moved her lips into a tight lip smile, as her fingers found Miles' jacket sleeve, "You don't understand."

"You're right! You are right!" At how aggressive Jeff's tone had become, the people around the party were starting to look over at the family, "I thought I had some idea with what's happening to Miles, but with you, I have absolutely no clue! So, why don't you tell me!"

(Y/N)'s blood boiled at his words, palms becoming clammy with anxiety of feeling everyone's stares on them, as her grip on Miles' sleeve tightened, "I can't! It's not that simple-"

"That's all I ever hear from you! I can't, I can't. The floor is yours, (Y/N). I'm listening!" Jeff was now yelling his words at her, matching his daughter angry energy, as the silence over the now quite party was loud, "What do you gotta tell me so bad?!"

Heavy breaths escaped her parted lips, trying to calm herself down from saying anything more as she didn't want to hurt her adopted father. Now, everyone was staring at the family with worried expressions, or grimaces, as the music had also stopped.

Miles squeezes his trembling sisters hand in his, and gives her a reassuring look that she completely missed, as she had a stare down with Jeff, who also reminds quiet when everything went silent.

After a few more seconds, (Y/N) rolls her neck upwards with a long exhale, and removes her hold from Miles hand, "Y'know what? Never mind, I don't belong here anyway." She mumbled with bitterness as she just pushed her way through Rio, and Jeff.

Somehow once again, the issue was bounced back to her, and she was the one who ended up getting the most yelled at. If she knew her 'parents' were this affect by her disappearance from their life, she would of done something sooner, but now, she didn't see herself going back till things were settled.

The remaining three Morales' felt their hearts break hearing her sudden hateful words, not expecting that from her at all. Miles rushes after his sister immediately, as Rio placed her hands up to her chest upset, and Jeff sighed with a guilty frown.

Everyone in the party cleared a both way for (Y/N), who had pulled her hoodie up and avoided eye contact with everyone. She used her high-topped foot to open the door, and ignored Miles trying to call out to her, as he was stuck with their parents now.

Walking down the long spiral of stairs quite fast to get out of their, when she arrived near the ground somewhat she placed her headphones around herself. But didn't play anything, just kept them there so no one would disturb her.

(Y/N) made her way towards the small window by the wall, and pulled herself up out of it, to land on the fire escape stairways leading to the back alleyway near her apartment that was a few blocks away.

"Don't cry, don't cry," She was repeatedly muttering to herself like a prayer feeling the emotional storm inside her right now. She was oversensitive when it came to her 'family', but who could blame her? With a messed up life she had, things like this were bond to happen.

It didn't help eithet that her mind drifted back to Miguel, the one who's she hasn't and problay won't ever let go of, the only one who brough her comfort, and warmth. But, yet, where was he now when she needed him the most.

As she walked out of the building away from them all, she felt a lump forming in her throat, and a heavy weight pressing against her chest. With every step she took, the internal battle wagged on, the urge to cry chasing with her determination to remain strong.

The streets around her were empty and quiet, mirroring the emotional void she carried within. (Y/N)'s footsteps seemed to echo against the pavement, amplifying the solitude she felt. She glanced up at the sky, hoping the vastness would offer solace, but all she saw were clouds matching her inner turmoil.

Turning back down away from the sky, she catches sight of the party hat in her hand for Jeff, and grips the piece in between her fingers more. Letting that drop into the nearest bin, she feels the burning sensation coming from the wristband on her, and that's when the facade of strength began to crumble.

A single tear escaped from her eye, tracing a path down her cheek, betraying her attempts to hold back the flood of emotions. She hastily brushed it away, frustrated at her own vulnerability. But one tear turned into two, then three, until they flowed freely and unabated.

(Y/N) quickened her pace, hoping to outrun the tears that threatened to overwhelm her. She tried to stifle her sobs, muffling them with the sleeve of her jacket. Her chest heaved with every labored breath, her shoulders trembling as she fought against the weigh of her emotions.

A few passersby that were around glanced at her with curiosity, and concern, but she averted her gaze, unwilling to expose her fragility to strangers. She felt exposed, raw, and utterly alone. The tears blurred her vision, making the journey home even more challenging.

With each step, the tears acted as a catharsis, releasing the pent-up pain and frustration that had built within her. Though, she would of preferred to do this in the safety of her apparent with Elvis, but holding it back was difficult considering what's been happening to her.

The act of crying became a bittersweet relief, a way of her emotions to find their voice when words failed her.

Finally arriving at the doorstep of her apartment, (Y/N) collapsed inside the room, and her back slide down her wall, her tears flowing freely. Harsh sobs wracked her body, as she pulled her knees to her chest, and hid her face in them. She realized that suppressing her emotions had only prolonged her agony.

This was the first time she's ever cried since Miguel's departure. And she didn't know if that was a good thing or not, as she was also now upset over her adopted parents.

Elvis had heard the loud thump she made arriving, and followed by her cries of pain. He jumped off his bed in her room, and padded over to his owner near the apartment's closed door.

He meowed sadly spotting her tears, and trembling figure in a feeble position. He goes on up to her, and rubs himself over her legs, purring loudly to bring his owner some short of comfort. He swiftly manoeuvres his way in between her legs, hoping up into her lap and place his head against her shoulder in a somewhat hug, all while purring.

Wrapping her arms around Elvis' fluffy form, she pulled him close for comfort, and hid her face into the top of his head. In the quiet solitude of her home, (Y/N) allowed herself to grieve the forming rift between her and her adopted parents, along with the man she loves, well loved.

She soon calmed down after a little while, tears stopping as her skin now felt dry and rough from them. Her face was still resting in Elvis' fur, and she was completely unaware of how everything that was lose in her apartment was now hovering in the air.

A sudden burst of light caught her attention now, making her quickly look up from cuddle time with Elvis. Startled, she stood up slowly to find a swirling portal materializing right in the middle of her living room.

Her hands fumbled to press on her Spider suit AI chip, as it appeared over her body and covered her clothes, but left her face bare. Pushing Elvis to the safety of her bedroom, her heart raced with a mixture of fear, and curiosity as a familiar figure emerged from the portal.

That brown curly locks, that familiar broad and muscular figure, followed by that deep, and raspy voice she fell in love with appeared right in front of her. Miguel O'hara was standing in her living room, clad in his futuristic suit.

"There you are, sweetheart." His voice started off in a low drawl, as his figure became more shown to her, and finally stepped out of the disappearing portal, "I've been looking all over for you."

(Y/N)'s eyes widened in disbelief, unable to comprehend the surreal scene unfolding before her. She fumbled for words hearing his voice, but that soon turned into a annoyed expression when Miguel's face was in clear view, "What the hell are you doing here? And my apartment of all places?!"

His bare red eyes scanned over her place for a few seconds, seeing that nothing has really changed since the last time he's been here, and looked down at his flickering wristband AI, "I apologize for the sudden appearance, but I need you to come with me."

She laughed bitterly at his demand, and crossed her arms over her chest, the crying she did minutes ago over his man long gone now, "Why would I go anywhere with you after everything?" She hisses with venom, and glares at him with hatred, "I don't wanna know why you're here, but leave."

His gaze finally met her one, and he walked up to her slowly, his figure towering over her smaller one, "I don't expect you to like me, nor do I wan't you to," His tone was matching hers perfectly, until it dropped to a softer whisper, "But, you want answers, don't you? So, come with me."

Her mind whirled with questions and skepticsm about his offer, having a bad feeling there was something else behind him being here right now. Miguel, the Miguel O'hara wouldn't just travel to another dimension to see a girl, to see her... right? That didn't sound like him at all, considering what he did to her months ago.

"So.. you're promising me answers right now, O'hara?" She asked in a dangerous grumble, and lifted her head up to stare into his scarlet eyes, "This isn't just a game?"

His hand went to reach out to grab her hip, but paused just reach of it and bent his head to her level, "I can't promise answers to everything you have..." He began in a hesitant rasp, and took a small peek at his watch that was picking up something outside away from them, before shifting back to her, "That doesn't mean I won't try though."

(Y/N) stepped back from their closeness as it was effecting her judgement, and emotions already, and she avoids his line of sight for a second in deep thought. She didn't want to get hurt again, nor cry over this man ever again, but she really wanted some sort of truth from him... even if he was going to lie.

Elvis came up to the pair sensing the new person, and meowed loudly seeing Miguel in the same room. He went to pounce on the male's suited feet, but he dodged with a growl, and a glare thrown down at the hissing cat now.

Despite her growing hatred for Miguel, she smiled a little softly watching the moment, reminding her of the time before they shared together. With a heavy sigh, curiosity overwhelmed her doubt, and an eager spirit stirred within her.

"Alright, O'hara," She spoke up, voice lingering with a mix of excitement, and trepidation for what was about to happen as of now, "I'll come with you, but you better spill when I question."

He nodded his head, expression grateful yet focused, and turned his figure to motion outside of the her window with a finger, "We're going for a swing. I'll lead us to the place where we can talk." He explains briefly, before running towards the window, and hopped out of it swiftly.

(Y/N) scoffed unamused seeing him being a show off, and pressed a button on her AI chip to make her mask appear over her eyes. Once that was done, she waved goodbye to Elvis, not knowing that would be the final one shared between them, and gracefully swings out of the window to follow after Miguel.

......

Red Venom's heart raced with exhilaration as she swung through the city alongside Miguel, their Spider powers propelling them gracefully through the urban landscape of Brooklyn. The wind whipped through her hair, and the adrenaline surged through her veins, fueling her every movement.

Her gaze underneath her mask was trained on Miguel's swinging figure in front of her, watching as his muscles tensed and worked whenever he would move. She scowled to herself doing that, and focused back on following him towards wherever he was leading them.

They hadn't talk since her apartment as he was to busy getting to the location, and she didn't want to start to conversation up on behalf of her emotions. Miguel would constantly look over his shoulder to double check she was still there, and then back at his wristband that was now turned on to scope out the area.

Together they leaped from building to building, their synchronized swings creating a symphony of acrobatic s against the backdrop of the city skyline. Despite how rocky their bond was right now, it didn't stop their hearts from fluttering and bright smiles breaking out onto their faces experiencing a swing together again, after all this time.

People down below again look up spotting the Spider duo swinging around, and most gasp in awe seeing them together again, and some scoff with annoyance at the new one in their city. A few civilians pull out their phones, take photos and videos to post it all over the internet, captioning 'The Spider couple is back'.

When their swings come closer to each other, Red Venom would propel forward first into the air, and Miguel soon followed after, just like the once did in sync. His suit hand had grabbed onto her arm in mid swing, surprising her as he hasn't touched her yet since they left her home.

An excited yell escaped her smiling lips as he goes to throw her up, and she took this as a chance to float in the air for a few seconds. Miguel watches her with a small fond smile, before it disappeared underneath his mask to a neutral expression, and looked back down at his wristband watch.

Red Venom front flipped once she was descending to the road full of cars, and nose dived with cheering laugh at the rush she was experiencing. Every single thing she was thinking about drifted from her mind, as she left herself be consumed by this carefree feeling.

Stretching her arm out sideways, a thick red hued web shot towards a building across from her, and she pulled herself upside down. One of her suited legs were wrapped around in the web, and she was inches away from Miguel's masked face mid air.

His raises his eyebrows at her expectantly, mask eye slits following the movement, as both of his hands were holding onto his web. He watched as she smirked at him wickedly, before flipping herself the right way up to join his side again.

As they maneuvered through the air, Red Venom's attention was drawn to a commotion below. Her Spider senses tingled, alerting her to imminent danger. Without a moment's hesitation, she angled her trajectory towards the source of the disturbance, driven by her innate desire to protect others.

Descending with precision, she ignored the calls out of her superhero name from Miguel, and she heard him immediately follow after her. Red Venom landed gracefully in front of a young man, who found himself caught in a precarious situation, surrounded by a group of would-be assailants.

"Red Venom!" The male she was protecting exclaims in relief seeing her, and pressed his hand to his bleeding shoulder with a grunt, "Oh, I'm so glad you're here-"

One of the attackers growled annoyed at her appearance, and went to aim at hit with a bat, but she easily stopped it with one hand, while staring at the male behind her, "What's going on here, bud?"

"If I'm being honest, I was trying to stop them from hurting a young lady." He rubs the back of his neck with his free hand, and laughs sheepishly, "But, I ended up being the one to get hurt."

She clicks her tongue with a small smile, and glances over at his wounds to check if anything was life threatening. All she noticed all he had was a few burises, scratches and blood from those scratches, "Give me a second? I'll deal with these idiots real quick."

Before he could even respond to her, he watched with a dropped jaw as Red Venom swiftly span around, and shot out a flying line of infused venom web at the crimails. All of them went down like dominos, groaning and yelling out in pain, as the web wrapped around them, and would shock them once on a while.

She wiped her hands together with confidence, and leant down to the group of males tied of on the floor, "It isn't nice to pick on other people, y'know?" She spoke in a deadly tone, and had a sister smirk on her face as she made the web tighten around them more, "Your assess are going straight to the police, you hear me?"

The group frantically nodded their heads with exclaims of agreement, instantly regretting what they did as Red Venom had scared the shit out of them. She grinned happily at this, and stuck them to the wall with a note for the cops, that signed off her name with a doddle smiley face.

Relieved but somewhat stunned, the young man thanked Red Venom profusely, gratitude gleaming in his eyes brightly, "Thank you! I don't know what I would have done without you."

She smiled warmly, hear heart swelling with a sense of fulfillment hearing his high praise at her saving him, "You're welcome. Just doing my part to help." She answered him with a soft chuckle, and then placed a gentle hand on his uninjured shoulders, "But, please, go to the hospital to get patched up and checked out."

The young man with black hair nodded his head in agreement, sending her once last thankful smile, and poked his tongue out to the crimails stuck to the wall. After that, he walked out with a wave to Red Venom and disappeared out of the alleyway, to hopeful in the direction of the hospital.

Red Venom heard another loud thumb from behind her, which quickly made her turn her head, and found Miguel standing there, arms crossed over his suited chest. She instantly noticed a subtle change in his demeanor, when he walked forward towards her.

His usually composed expression was darker, more tense, as his jaw clenched and inhaled sharply, trying to ignore that burning emotion he was feeling, "Are you done?" He rasped in a low voice, and gripped her smaller wrist in his hand, "Because if so, let's go. Places to be."

She hummed with a teasing look in her eyes, and patted his shoulder smugly, "Of course, just doing my job." She snarks a reply, and scowls at him before shooting a web up towards the roof, causing him to follow next.
