Emily Winchester had not been at Derry Highschool for less than three days before she was stirring up trouble. Her father made her promise to keep her head down and stay out of any confrontation, but when Emily had witnessed the atrocious acts committed by Henry Bowers, it seemed that keeping her head down was impossible.

Derry Highschool was a school ranging from grades 7-12, it was also a place in Emily's opinion, where dreams quite literally went to die. The Winchester girl had never been to a school as horrible as Derry High, and she had been to a lot of schools in her time.

It seemed that the hallways were filled with only two types of children. The 'prey and the predators' as she put it. The predators seemed to be the worst type of children, the mean ones who bullied the 'prey'. Now, the prey did not seem so bad in personality; however, the predator children only appeared to want to make the lives of the prey living hell.

The second John had dropped Emily off at the Townhouse, the girl had immediately taken it upon herself to purchase her own ride for the next four months. At first she considered getting herself a bicycle; however, a bicycle was not really her speed.

Now, a dirt bike, on the other hand, she could deal with that. It may have not been her father's badass Chevy Impala, but it was a badass dirt bike, and that was enough for Emily Winchester.

Of course, on her first day, a girl pulling up on a dirt bike tended to attract attention. Almost every single student who was in the schoolyard stared at the new girl who showed up literally a month before summer.

Not to mention the clothing the new girl wore on her first day. Unlike most teenage girls, Emily Winchester did not show up wearing a pretty dress with a face caked of makeup. No, Emily Winchester showed up wearing the same outfit she always wore.

Jeans, a red flannel, and to top it all off, converse hightops. 'Practical but stylish,' as Emily always worded it. Although, what it really was to catch everyone's eye was that godforsaken hair on her head.

Yes, big hair was in, but Jesus motherfucking Christ, how was it possible to get such large curls? Was that even natural? Those were thoughts running through most of the student's brains as Emily strolled casually up to the doors of the office, a large taunting smile on her lips.

Her lightning eyes darted around the campus, drinking in anything and everything.

'Yes,' Emily had thought to herself in disdain at all the apprehensive looks she was receiving. 'These last five weeks of school are going to be hell.'

It was in the middle of Emily's third day at Derry Highschool when the inevitable finally happened. Emily Winchester witnessed the bullshit that was Henry Bowers, Patrick Hockstetter, Vic Criss, and Belch Higgins.

The four teenagers who made up the Bowers Gang. All four of them were freshman alike to Emily Winchester, in fact, Emily even shared a math class with Vic Criss. The Bowers Gang tended to harass and bully the underclassmen from the junior high section of the school along with the 'nerds' in their freshman year.

Thankfully, the Bowers Gang never dared go near any upperclassmen; sophomores and above were off limits.

It was the Bowers Gang on Emily's third day of school that got her in trouble. During one of the passing periods, it would seem that Henry Bowers was in a particularly foul mood, and it was only the Losers Club's luck that they happened to be passing the Bower's Gang when Henry finally snapped.

Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier was a fourteen-year-old boy in the eighth grade. He was a part of the Losers Club, a group of four boys who were all his best friends. The boy was not tall at all, only standing at a height of 5'3 and rather pale and skinny. However, with him only being fourteen, his stature was normal. Besides, according to his doctor, Richie was due to hit both puberty and a growth spurt in the upcoming months.

Richie was known to have quite a loud 'trash' mouth on him, the boy generally unable to go three sentences without at least one cuss word. He was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, that fact in itself rendering himself practically unable to stop himself from letting what came to his mind slip out.

The crude boy wore thick black glasses that magnified his dark irises to almost three times the original size. Though he hated wearing the glasses, he found comfort in that one of his idols, Buddy Holly, was famous and also wore thick glasses.

Even with Richie getting in trouble because of his mouth, he was able to keep straight A's easily.

Next Richie stood Bill Denbrough, Eddie Kasbrak, and Stanley Uris. The complete Losers Club package. All of them were recently turned fourteen-year-old boys in the eighth grade. A year younger in both grade and age to Emily Winchester.

Turning toward his friends, Eddie Kasbrak had clutched the straps of his backpack.

"Hey, did you guys hear about that new freshman?" He questioned as they walked through the hallways to get to their next class.

Stanley rose a brow, tilting his head. "Yeah, who comes five weeks before summer?"

"W-well we don't actually k-know, why. Maybe s-she didn't have a choice." Billy stammered while shrugging, Richie smiling bumping his shoulder against his.

"Nah, I heard she's hot. Like, really, really, hot." Eddie and Bill sighed while Stanley simply rolled his eyes at his friend's predictable behavior.

Whenever the word hot and girl were used in the same sentence, you could bet that Richie Tozier would be one of the first people in line to get a look. Before any of them could utter another word, Richie and Eddie were suddenly pushed to the ground and Stan was shoved to the side against the lockers harshly.

Bill Denbrough was left alone because of his missing brother, Henry taking extra precaution in making sure he did nothing to him. After all, it was Henry Bower's father who ordered him not to touch the Denbrough boy after what happened to his family, and Henry was not eager to go against Officer Bowers.

"Move it, losers!" Henry snarled glaring down at Richie and Eddie, Belch handing Stanley a sneer.

This was the moment that changed everything in both Richie Tozier and Emily Winchester's life. This was the moment that Richie became utterly and helplessly infatuated with the girl who saved him and because of this infatuation, it would cause a lifetime of events to begin spiraling down from this moment on.

"Hey, Bowers! Why don't you pick on somebody your own size!" All the loser's watched with wide eyes as who they realized was the new girl stroll up to Henry Bowers in their defense.

This was new, this had never happened before. Not even the teachers stuck up for them. The hallways went quiet, whispers escaping the lips of multiple students, most gaping in shock. Did the new girl not realize that by doing this she was damning herself for the rest of high school? Did she not understand that no one stuck up for the 'prey' unless they wanted to be hunted themselves?

Sure, Emily Winchester was not exactly an underclassman compared to the Bower's Gang, as she was in their same grade, but no one went against the Bower's Gang unless they actually wanted to die.

Despite all his shock that someone was actually sticking up for him and his friends, Richie could not help but see how beautiful this girl was. Yes, he knew she was a grade ahead of him and probably quite a few months older than him, and two inches taller than him, but he could not find it in himself to care.

This girl was extremely attractive on the outside; however, Richie could not help but see more. She came to his defense, that made her much more beautiful than anyone could possibly imagine. This made her magnificently beguiling.

Even as he sat on the floor, he felt his jaw quite literally drop, his eyes flickering over every inch of this mystery female's body. His palms went sweaty and his heart seemed to skip a beat.

Sure, Richie Tozier thought some girls were pretty, even went as far as to fantasize with one of those Busty Asian Beauty magazines his uncle had got him last summer, but never, never in a million years had he felt like this. He never even dreamed of feeling like this.

He was not exactly sure what this feeling was, but what he did know was that this girl was the one making him feel it. And he never wanted it to end, it felt like he was on Cloud Nine.

"Dude..." Richie was pulled from his thoughts, his mouth snapping closed as he turned to Eddie who was giving him a slightly disgusted glance. "You are ogling her!"

Richie had no time to respond as the sound of Henry Bowers' voice drifted to their ears.

"Who the hell do you think you are, you little bitch!" Henry scoffed a sneer, shoving Emily back.

Emily stumbled backward in surprise, not expecting Henry to actually put his hands on her. His filthy hands that have been god only knows where. She cringed at the thought.

Emily's last name was not Winchester for no reason. She was the daughter to John and Mary Winchester, she was a hunter. She would rather kill herself than ever allow Henry Bowers to think that he was superior to her in any way.

Unfortunately for Henry, he took Emily's silently brewing anger in the completely wrong way. He took it as her about to cry. Only an idiot would mistake the anger of a female for sadness.

"What are you going to do?" Henry faked a pout. "Cry? Well, go on then, cry." Henry mocked a sniffle, his goons pretending cry in the background, Emily's anger only skyrocketing.

"I would get out of here while you still can, Bowers," Emily grunted, her lightning eyes glinting with an almost predatory look, a look she normally only got when on a hunt.

Instead of doing the smart thing and walking away, Henry only growled taking on the challenge written in the eyes of Emily Winchester. He attempted to dart forward, ready to strike her, but Emily was faster.

Ducking beneath his arm, Emily delivered a fierce punch to his stomach causing Henry to cry out falling to his knees in both pain and shock. Students hands fell to their mouth in shock, gasps echoing around the hallway. But Emily did not stop there, the Winchester girl brought her foot up in harsh kick, stamping her converse clad foot directly onto Henry's face.

Henry Bowers was only lucky that Emily was not wearing her hunting boots that day.

Henry cried in pain as sickening crack sounded about, clutching his now fractured nose. "Oh, Jesus! I think she broke my nose!" He hollered, Belch Higgins and Vic Criss immediately grabbing either side of Henry's shoulders lifting him up.

Patrick Hockstetter made eye contact with Emily, flinching away when she started toward him.

"That's what I thought, pussies!" Emily smirked as all four of them quickly took Henry to the nurse.

"You'll pay for this, Emily Winchester!" Henry all but shrieked, blood gushing from his broken nose.

It was at that exact moment while watching the crazy-haired brunette stroll away as if nothing had happened that Richie knew he was in love.

"Guys..." Richie thickly swallowed, pushing his glasses up. "I think I'm in love."
