Each step in synch intensified as the girls hoped back into their places.

The last chorus was coming close after the well anticipated dance break, it was always stressful to do them. "Good!" their dance instructor yelled out, surprised at the quickness of even the nondancers. Smiles grew on the girls faces as they hit their ending moves, looking to themselves at the mirror wall.

Y/N's breathing hitched as she looked to her group in the mirror, seeing them performing live. Her smile widened thinking about seeing Eri out in the crowd. The group in return at their leader's smile smiled back. The group acted out their ending fairy, looking beautiful together.

After a few seconds Y/N clapped, getting the few girls on the floor up, herself included. When the 6 stood in front of their dance instructor he smiled seeing the team grow and glow in such a short time. "You girls surprise me every time I see you back in here," the instructor confessed getting the girls to bow in appreciation. 

"For the title track Chaeyeon, focus on the second chorus you make or break the formation," the instructor said. The youngest nodding soon looking to Y/N for tips. "For the dance break it's a bit sloppy but it's good for all of y'all to say you can do it, if I don't see straighter lines, I'll recommend Y/N doing it alone or maybe Sooyoung," Y/N nodded before bowing alongside her group. 

"We'll fix everything we can before tomorrow! Thank you for the workday," Y/N thanked on behalf of the girls. Their instructor nodded soon taking his leave. As the practice room door closed Y/N couldn't help but let a sigh out, she always forgot how strict her dance instructor was. "Let's take 15 to stretch and breathe," Y/N whined while stretching out her back.

The group agreed, spreading around in the room to either snack, practice, or stretch. Chaeyeon stayed on the floor looking to her side, seeing Iris and Y/N stretching out. "Unnie...do I look bad doing the second chorus, am I to low or high?" Chaeyeon asked concerned about her positioning.

Iris shook her head no, "I don't really see a problem but maybe ask Y/N, she is your dance partner," Iris said looking to Y/N. Jiseo nodding before asking Iris to help her with a part in the choreo. Chae looked to Y/N, putting her hair in a ponytail to tuck it in her shirt.

"You bend your knees a lot, revealing me behind you. It becomes a height difference thing among the rest of the dance. It's okay to look taller than me it's part of the illusion! Come here, lemme show you," Y/N explained getting up and heading behind Chaeyeon. Laying a hand on her junior's waistband Chaeyeon's knees dropped, Y/N stopped her holding her up. 

"See you always do that! We only made you bend when we were learning the choreo so I see if we were centered. Let's try it without looking at the mirror," Y/N suggested having her back face the mirror. In an instant Chaeyeon stood tall doing the choreo and singing her part to not go ahead. Y/N smiled tickling Chae to the ground.

"See you did it right. It's the mirror that's making you freeze up and go down," Y/N explained. She held tightly on Chae as the youngest nodded understanding the unnecessary pressure she put on herself. "Can we try the choreo over then?" Chae asked getting a nod from Y/N.

The red head doon clapped her hands together, getting all the girls in order at the 4th clap. Y/N soon left to turn the music back on, as soon as it started, she slid into place. Practice went smoothly for the title track. Any hiccups or sloppiness were fix in the next few hours of practice. 

Cleaning up the room the girls headed out, wanting to get to their dorms before the roads got bad. They got a bite to eat after and then went back, bearing the traffic rush. Opening the dorm door, the girls sighed taking deep breaths after the hard work. Y/N smiled again seeing the dorms for the first time since months ago. 

As Y/N took her shoes off and slid her slides on a puppy ran to her feet. Picking the little one up she cooed, "Hey Lay you miss mommy?" she asked getting the puppy to lick her. Fluffing up his fur she couldn't help but spin around with the little pup.

Making her way to the livingroom she sat herself down to play with him. Rubbing his belly, she only cooed seeing his old habits come back, "I missed doing this for you," Y/N smiled. Lay sat up jumping around before hopping back into Y/N's arms.

The rest of the group found themselves in the livingroom as well, watching a show they'd been binging. Chae and Mei sat on the floor with Y/N, playing with Lay and laying down on her respectfully. "You seem to miss Lay Mel, why don't you take him with you?" Jieso questioned.

Y/N looked back to her, thinking about Koda's bunny that lived in the dorms. "It never crossed my mind, we do house a rabbit in the dorms," Y/N said surprising the girls. "Really a rabbit? They must be such a cutie; I think Lay would love a friend!" Chaeyeon insisted. Y/N rolled her eyes, thinking about bringing Lay to Japan. 

"Wouldn't Mel have to talk with the company and UA to get Lay in?" Iris asked. The red head nodded thinking about it, it would be a bit of a hassle. "I think they'd accept it, only way they wouldn't is if someone was allergic," Chaeyeon said soon looking to Y/N.

"I guess I could call a classmate to get them to ask everyone," Y/N said pulling her phone from her back pocket. Lay hopped into his owner's lap, panting to her calling up a boy. When the phone picked up Y/N shushed Chae. "Hey Todoroki, can I ask you something?" Y/N asked getting a yes from the quite male.

"Could you ask the class if anyone is allergic to dogs, please?" Y/N asked catching the boy off guard. "Why Y/N, don't tell me you're buying one right now," Todoroki worried making the girl laugh. "No....just look!" Y/N insisted changing the call to video. 

As Y/N smiled to Todoroki Lay popped his head up into the screen. "Oh, hi there," Todoroki greeted before the puppy barked to the newcomer. Y/N kissed the puppy before speaking to Todoroki. "I've had him for a while, unnie thought it'd be best for me to bring him to Japan to stay at UA," Y/N confessed. 

Todoroki nodded, getting up to ask the rest if class if they were fine. Making his way to the lounge he spoke with a few of the boys, Ojiro and Kirishima greeted the little one as well. Everyone had given their thumbs up to the new member, all was left was Principal Nezu and the pros. 

Y/N left the class knowing she needed to speak with staff about the little one. Wanting a bit of rest before Y/N and Lay went to sleep early, knowing the big days ahead of them.

"Melody, you sound amazing, just relax on that run. You sound like you're rushing it and forcing it. For this to be a song you wrote for someone, you're not providing love to the song," a producer critiqued. Y/N nodded looking back to the line, highlighting the line and writing new instructions to the delivery.

Practicing the line a few more times, Y/N stopped taking a breath. Looking down to the paper she zoned out, feeling stressed over the simple task. How was it her own song she wrote and couldn't even sing it properly. "A main vocalist should be our most confident, if you can't do the note, please tell us Jieso can gladly take it," another producer confessed.

Y/N took a step back, looking at the work and mic in front of her. She had no energy to finish, wanting to just go to her next lines. The booth door opened,  Jieso stepped inside coming to Y/N's side. "Mel repeat after me okay," Jieso ordered getting the red head to sing after her. 

"Sing like you're singing for the person you wrote this song for. It's a beautiful song Mel, take your time it's heartfelt!" Jieso cheered. The older girl patted Y/N's back before moving a bit. Y/N sighed, taking a deep breath before starting the line over. Her voice flew out her mouth like a symphony, it was soft yet powerful in the small section.

The producers nodded, smiling at the girl letting go. "I think her mind is on UA right now. By the comeback she'll be hungry to work and get better with music. She's good for a rookie writer, she'll be trouble in a bit after getting proper practice" a producer said. The other nodded smiling at the young girl before speaking, "I think she's ready to work solo. She's got what it takes, it's UA that's the problem".

The two continued on the work, getting all of the tracks done by the 2-hour mark. "You're all complete Melody," a producer confessed getting the staff and few producers in the room to clap. She bowed thanking the staff for letting her work. After the individual handshakes and thank yous Y/N left to the dance practice room. 

To her luck the group was there ready to show their dance instructor the new work. He was impressed, the girls moved like a feather in synch with the wind it was carried in. Each mistake was fixed, Chaeyeon stood proud in the center, Sooyoung took charge in the dance break, and the ending looked peaceful.

Silence wavered throughout the practice room for a bit. A clap soon left the instructor's palm surprising the girls. "Your seniors would be very proud of you. I don't get idols that are able to fix mistakes in less than 16 hours. I'm proud girls," their instructor praised.

"Now I want to see how your other choreographs for your bsides. It shouldn't be hard to show them, you guys seemed happy at the thought of creating your own stuff," their instructor said. Sooyoung stepped forward bowing at the honor of working on Rewind. "Let's go!" Sooyoung yelled getting the girls hyped for the work.

As the music started the girls' fun demeanors changed instantly, a cold serious aura floated through the air, they weren't playing. After Sooyoung's intro Mei centered surprising no one with her quickness and sweet aura compared to the darkness around her. The instructor couldn't help but be intrigued by the way of centering and the dance itself. 

He clapped every chance he could get; the girls were killing it. Each move was swift, sharp, clean and synchronized. The girls left the room in silence once again, it just kept getting better to watch. As the last line ended the girls looked to themselves in the mirror, they'd come so far. From girls being trainees for years to having a comeback, the instructor could have shed a tear.

"I don't think there's much I can teach when Youngmi is here. You guys work so much better as 6 than 5, let's keep it this way girls," the instructor praised again. "Eat well, and rest girls you'll be working a lot," the instructor confessed before leaving the girls be. As the door closed the girls squealed, holding each other in bear hugs.

"We're unstoppable!" "The dream team" "THE IT FACTOR!" Chae and Iris yelled out. Y/N smiled at the girls happy at the confidence found in the simple compliments. "I think we really our done for the day. Let's pack up and maybe go check on others before meeting back up to head home," Y/N laid out, the team agreed. As the girls parted ways for the next hour Y/N texted Jase. Sadly, the two couldn't meet up as Jase was with family.

Although the pair was upset, they couldn't be with each other, they bounded over the phone where it all started.
