THE TARGARYEN'S NEEDED DORNE

At least that's what Otto Hightower believed if he and his daughter were to ever take the throne from Rhaenyra Targaryen.

The hand of the King began scheming and whispering into the ear of Prince Devran Martell early on. He knew it would take a fair amount to get the Prince of Dorne to agree to the betrothal between the princess of dorne and prince aegon.

While King Viserys would be quite easy to convince since hastily turning down Otto's proposal of a betrothal between Rhaenyra and Aegon.

It had taken Otto longer than he liked to get Prince Devran to agree to a betrothal, but once the stubborn yet fair man had it only took a few whispers into King Viserys ear and some words from Queen Alicent before the old King agreed to the betrothal of his son of age three to the young Dornish princess of age five.

The wedding between the two would not take place for many years but, Princess Nira would sail to Kings Landing at the age of twelve to not only prepare herself for the changes she would face once wed to Prince Aegon, but also to make the Red Keep her new home.

THE FIRST MEETING between Princess Nira and Prince Aegon did not go well. She found the boy to be insufferable and a drunk even at the age of ten, but the young princess forced a smile on her face and pretend to indulge the Targaryen prince — for one day he would be her King husband and ( gods willing ) father of many children she would bore for him.

The odd ways of Kings Landing had left a bitter taste in young Nira's mouth. In Dorne it did not matter of one's parentage, if you were born a bastard you were still entitled to lands and titles unlike everywhere else in Westeros where you were shunned and whispered about. Her uncle - Efran Sand was a bastard yet, in Dorne he was well loved and treated kindly but in Kings Landing he was treated as a pariah.

Nira grew to loathe Kings Landing and her drunk future husband but, she had been taught well in the art of deception.

It should take a little while before Nira actually falls in love with Aegon.
Aegon should still be an ass and a drunk BUT NOT A RAPIST LIKE IN THE SHOW!
Nira and Aegon should have children ( at least two ) and quickly after they are wed.
Nira should be attacked ( by whom/ why is up to you ) and she should have a permanent scar after her attack.
