SCOTT WELSH IS THE CALM AFTER THE STORM. He somehow remains calm under pressure. He has to, after all. For his team. If he doesn't set an example for them, then who will? Scott tends to stuff in his emotions, brushing them off until they come out at the worse possible moment. He genuinely tries to be the best he can be, carrying the weight of everyone else's struggles, drowning himself in constant work and stress.

Despite being on the quiet side, Scott is a compassionate and kind individual. He often goes out of his way to help someone out. Sure, he's not the best comforter - but he'll offer encouraging and kind words. People often find Scott easy to talk to, even if he mainly nods or mindlessly listens. Scott makes it his job to make a safe space for others to come to him - especially his teammates. He's like a brotherly figure to them, and he genuinely cares for their well-being, even if they get on his nerves sometime. 

Being captain is a stressful job, especially with someone like Scott who is easily stressed. He tends to take on multiple tasks at once, never letting himself rest until the task is done. He's not a perfectionist, but he prefers to get stuff out of the way before letting himself relax.
