Jakes POV

We were about to head to our rooms when I heard mom calling us .

"Jake James, come here I want to have a word with you'll" mom called us .

"So I and your father will be going for an extended business trip . Of course he wasn't going to cancel a business trip simply because I didn't want him to go, so eventually I'm also tagging along" mom said while sitting on the bed beside Dad .

"So you my boys don't bother Annie too much and please don't be late at nights" Dad said lifting his head from his book which he was reading.

"ANNIE" is a cute elderly women with silver hair she's a sweetheart I must say .

She is with us since we were born so basically Mom tells us shes our "NANNY " can you believe it , we big boys have a nanny.

Its finally a weekend and our parents are out of town so we decided to throw a party tonight .

Here I am sitting on the couch with a red cup
In my hand .

"Hey handsome" I see Rebecca approaching me .
She came and directly sat straight on my lap .
"Do you happen to have a Band-Aid? 'Cause I scraped my knees falling for you" she said batting her eyelashes.

"Ohh god!! I feel sick around her at times" I mused .

"You could have used a better pickup line Rebecca" James said while sitting beside us .

"You're a saviour" I whispered to James.

" Umm ,becca I need to go" I said while indicating her to get off my lap but she detained me.

"Hey Neil , Neil" I called while getting up .

"Hey man" ,he pushed people out of his way and approached us and we fist bumped .
I eyed him asking for help .
"Lets get you a drink!" He suggested like it was the best idea he'd had all night .

"I'll catch you later " I postulated fake smiling at her. Precipitously I went with Neil hoping Rebecca doesn't tag us along.

"Thanks bro! " I replied patting his back.

We waded through the light pool surrounded by people splashing each other as they danced . Lights were dim. There was Music blasting through the house .
The lawn was full of people holding red cups .

"Hey Neil" ! We turned to see a brunette calling for him
"Matt is searching for you" she replied .

" I'll catch you in a bit" he said and went off .

I took a puff from my juul and sat on the stone wall ,I opened my inbox and messaged sarah .

*How are you feeling now*

A group of drunk girls walked by giggling and winking at me stumbling over their own feet.

I pick up my Phone and walk inside . I pushed my way through the crowded hall, when i see James lying in a drunken state mumbling something.

"Hey James! James are you all right" . I perturbed by touching his cheeks .

"She's so pretty" he slurs in his half conscious state.

"Who's pretty James " I ask being concern.

"She is covered so beautifully Jake see , see over there she looks so angelic Jake" he says pointing somewhere, where no one was standing.

Ohh god! He's totally drunk .

"Come I'll take you to your room" I pulled him from his arms.

"No let me see her please Jake ,please she's watching me from there" he said pointing front of him , "I'm falling for her Jake". He sighed.

"Bro you're not in your senses right now , come we'll go upstairs" ,I say while lifting him from his arms .
"Who is this lucky girl my brother likes" I ask while trying to make him stand .

"She's so beautiful though she covers her self" he said contemplating.
"How did I fall for her so quick , I was enchanted by her innocent face when we crashed, I think may be that's when I fell so hard for her" . He said envisaging.

"Hold on ! Are you speaking about sarah , I mean , she's the girl you like" I recoiled in horror.

He nodded his head while slurring down .
My heart beat stopped for a second , I couldn't breathe, my world came crashing down . At this moment I realised even I have genuine feelings for her .

I took him to the room by his arms and roughly laid him down .

I went down to call off the party .

"Hey baby where were you, I missed you soooo much" Rebecca slurs as she walk towards me .

Her arm wrapped around mine and she leans her head on my shoulder.
"You're so hot" she giggles.

"She is obviously beyond wasted "

"The room is starting to spend ... I mean spin"
She laughs and her body lurches forward .

I call for Neil to take her . He nods and lifts her into his arms draping her body over his shoulder and exits.

Furiously I go to the kitchen and took a garbage bag and started picking up the thrashed cups when some of the people started exiting.

I hear a ping on my phone ,due to exasperation I ignore it.

After tidying the whole room and calming myself a bit, I decided to check my phone due to my curiosity.

Seeing from the home page I got to know that the notification is from Sarah....

"OMFG" she replied I exhaled , without any second thoughts I opened my inbox to see her message.

* "Alhumdulillah I'm much better now
"I never knew you had a twin" *

My mind over took what James just confessed ,

I couldn't convince my self that James is in love with Sarah .

"Why Sarah, James" I sighed Feeling dejected.

Aggravation took over me and I threw my phone .
I was soo furious that I directly went upstairs and closed my door with a bang.

I was just starring at the ceiling when I heard a knock , I was too lazy to open the door .

"Who's there" I asked boldly.

The memory of the conversation with James still vexed me.

Annie entered with a sweet smile on her face .

"I saw you going upstairs with a long face , is everything alright" she asked giving me my favourite blueberry cheesecake.

My eyes lit up in excitement looking at it and I quickly sat digging into it.
"You sure know how to make up my mood" I replied .

The act of her smiling really can turn a frown upside down. She looks so cute with her grey hair and big glasses on.

"So c'mon tell me why you had a sorrowful eyes." Annie asked.

I try not to let my mind spill the beans to her.

"Umm, nothing I just had a headache, thats all" I said fake smiling at her.

I held the plate in her hand after finishing the whole cake and positioned her towards the door.

"Thank-you for the cheese cake though"I said while closing the door .

My alarm woke me up at seven past ten ,I hurried to the bathroom, had bath ,wore my orange hoodie and black jeans, paired up with white sneakers and headed downstairs.

On the way I grabbed an apple from the table.
Annie was setting the table for us.
"I'm not in a mood for a proper breakfast today". I said while having a morsel of my apple, when I heard James entering the dining room .

"Annie can you please hand me an aspirin " he asked her while touching his forehead .

I completely ignored him and went off to school.

There was an announcement "Hello students I trust you all had a splendid weekend , check the sign-up sheets in the lobby for new activities , there is also a final sign-up for next week scholastic decathlon competition , thank you"

"Hey man" I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned to see, it was Neil . I took my books from the locker and walked towards my class with him.
"Last night was lit man" He acknowledged.

We entered and sat directly on the second last bench .

"I hope I can see Sarah today" I said under my breath.

Miss Olivia entered our class .
"Hello students I hope you'll had a great weekend "
Okay soo, now open your books to page number 255.

"May I enter" the voice was familiar to me I moved my head to see towards the door and it was none other than Sarah Malik , my heart was jubilant . I was so elated to see her .

She had a small bandaid on her forehead.

"Yes you may enter , how are you now I got to know, you met with an accident" miss Olivia asked. And all the faces were on Sarah.

"I'm better now" she said and our eyes meet, she murmured "Alhumdulillah" while sitting in front of me .

"What is this , she keeps saying all the time"I thought to my self .

"Did You'll hear about the scholastic decathlon competition , Chem club president Rebecca Throne , can answer all of your questions about that"

Rebecca raises her hand with an audacious smile .

(Phone beeps)

"Ahh, the cellphone menace has returned to our crucible of learning". Ms Olivia said while folding arms across her chest.

"Is that you're cellphone" Sarah turned towards me.

Neil started checking his pockets for his phone .
Where as I didn't have one as I threw mine and again all the scenarios from last night trepid my mind.

When miss asked "Lauren and Tyler cellphones please" And I will see you in detentions she replied.

Lauren gasps.

"We have zero tolerance for cellphones in my class. Mr Neil Graham I see your phone is involved too , so we will see you in detention as well"

"I was just checking is it my phone which is beeping." He replied .

"T-thats not even a possibility Ms. Davis, your Honour. You see because we have basketball practice, and Neil... " I said

"Ah that will be 15 minute for you too . Mr Smith .Count them" . She retorted cutting me in .
"Holidays are over people, way over .Now any more comments"

Just then the bell rings and everyone started exiting.

"Sorry Man see you in detention" Neil said while going his way .
"See you later man , its all good" I replied back .

"Heyy!!! Umm how are you I asked Sarah ,

I'm really sorry for that day it's all my mistake I shouldn't have spoken to you that way" I said in one breath .

"Hey its alright, it wasn't your fault , Allah had written this in my fate so it was going to happen either way". She replied.

"Soooo is everything cool between us" I asked referring to us with my fingers.

"Umm , yeah ! We'll see to it, I still didn't forget the day I was in detention because of you"

She said while making a cute face .

"Is she hiding her smile" I mused.

"Okayy!! So let me make it up to you" I replied. Winking at her.

"Hey bestie" Uzma came and pulled her away form me , I see both of them departing away .
