Your heels clicked against the wooden floor of Suna's house as you scurried back and forth between the bathroom and the bedroom. Out of all times, your makeup wasn't coming out right. One eyelash looked too crooked, or your lip liner looked uneven-it was always something that bothered you. "Y/n, we're gonna be late!" Suna stood by the front door, watching you run back and forth. He was sure one of these times you were going to trip and fall in the thin heels you had on, but he was proven wrong when you finally popped out of the bathroom.
"Sorry!" You gave an apologetic smile as you walked up to him, grabbing your coat off of the rack. Suna was finally able to take a good look at you, taking in your beauty. He still felt guilty for happened only an hour ago. Faye showed up on his doorstep and caused a scene. He wasn't sure what even possessed her to do that, especially after their conversation. Suna never meant for Faye to catch feelings. That is the last thing he wanted out of their entire relationship other than possibly getting her pregnant.
What was worse was that Suna couldn't tell how you were feeling about the entire situation. He knows you still have some resentment towards him, there was no doubt there. But with each passing day, he feels like you're just brushing things off and putting on a facade to make yourself feel better. He doesn't want you to do that anymore, he wants you to be honest with him. He doesn't care if you have to hell or scream or do whatever to him.
Suna opened the front door for you, allowing you to walk out first so he could lock the door behind you two. A chill sent up your spine at the cold winds, the moon shining high above in the dark sky. "It's so cold!" You shivered, hugging yourself as you waited for Suna to unlock the car, clutching your handbag. After a few seconds, he unlocked the door both of you ushering into the car before freezing your asses off.

The car ride was normal. There was no awkward tension and certainly, there were some laughs shared between you two on your way to the restaurant. His hand remained on your thigh, rubbing over the skin from time to time as minutes passed. "I hope we aren't late." You sigh, seeing how packed the restaurant was from the parking lot. You weren't really surprised considering it was a Friday night and the restaurant was deep in the city.
"We're fine. Plus we have the upstairs rooms." Suna parked the car in an empty spot, taking the key out of the ignition. As you unbuckled your seatbelt you realized what Suna had said. "Upstairs? You're telling me you got the private room again?!" You questioned, opening the car door in a hurry. He was quick to follow behind you, catching up with your figure as you speed walked towards the restaurant in your heels.
"Yeah? Why?" He asked, confused. "Rin, eating at this restaurant is already expensive! But reserving the private rooms? That's even more expensive!" You almost said in disbelief. At some points, you wonder if Suna knew how to save his money instead of spending it on ridiculous things. Though, you appreciated the gesture from him, considering you haven't been on a date in a while. Suna only laughed at you. Even after a year of dating and the few months of talking you guys did before, he still finds it cute how worried you are about him spending his money on you.
"Don't laugh! I'm serious." You pouted as Suna's hand enveloped yours, fingers intertwining as you both walked into the restaurant, welcomed by the smell of fresh food and the warm atmosphere. "Hi, welcome! Do you have a reservation with us?" The hostess spoke, smiling at you guys. Suna nodded quickly, "it's under the name Suna Rintarou."
The hostess quickly checked the book before nodding with a smile, "right this way." She grabbed two menus for the both of you as she led you guys upstairs towards the private rooms. Suna held your hand tightly, rubbing his thumb over your knuckles as a small loving gesture.
"Here you are! And your waitress will be here soon!" The hostess smiled before walking away, shutting the sliding door to the room. You placed your clutch down on the table before taking a seat, noticing how neat the table was set up. Ready to go champagne glasses at your side and shining gold charger plates below you. Not to mention the beautiful glass chandelier that hung in the middle of the room, casting warm white lighting along the walls. It was nothing too harsh, like the fluorescent lights in schools.
"You look beautiful by the way." Suna broke the silence, immediately grabbing your attention as you flickered your eyes up from the menu to the man in front of you. He had a smirk on his face, not a devious one, but a good one-a smirk that showed he was admiring you. He wasn't even looking at the menu, his eyes locked onto you. "Thank you, Rin. You don't look half bad yourself." You giggled, looking away from him and back at the menu.
"Ouch! Bad outfit choice? Is it the shirt? You can be honest." Suna pouted, fiddling with the rings that adorned his pointer and middle finger. "I'm messing with you. You look really handsome," you placed your menu back down on the table. "Now look at the menu and decide what you want because I am starving." You groaned, feeling the emptiness in your stomach as you sat there in your seat.
"I already know what I want." Suna blinked. At first, you were confused by statement since his eyes were on you, but then you playfully rolled your eyes at him. "I am not on the menu. Don't think you can get to me that easily. You're gonna have to earn it." You narrowed your eyes at him as he slowly picked up the menu from the table. Suna lightly sucked his teeth, "you're gonna drive me crazy, y/n."
You laughed at his comment, "I don't even know how you contained yourself in the shower but, I'm so proud of you! Such a good boy!" You teased him, speaking sarcastically. Suna's mouth was agape, a slightly offended look on his face as he stared back at you. All you could do was sit there and giggle to yourself. Suna knew you were doing this to him on purpose, only you knew how to get under his skin. It was always you.
"Don't ever say that to me again." He warned, fiscally prying his eyes away from you to look at the menu. You raised a brow at him, "what? Good boy?" You questioned, leaning closer towards the table as you scoot your chair in. Suna responded with a simple hum, not daring to lock eyes with you. He could feel you staring at him, your eyes burning a hole right through him.
"Oh come on, Rin. There's nothing wrong with being a good boy," you argued, smirking at him as you watched him adjust in his seat. "If you weren't, you wouldn't have been able to control yourself in the shower. Am I right or am I wrong?"
Suna placed his menu down, biting the inside of his cheek, "do you really want to go there? You're only acting like this cause you know I'd do anything for you." Suna cocked his head to the side, those grey eyes of his fixated on yours. It was like he was trying to compete with you, but at the same time, he was completely consumable. You always had a hold of him. Always. Suna just didn't want to admit it, but god was he in a state where he was enthralled by you.
He'd kiss you from the tips of your toes to the top of your head if you asked him to. "And so what if I am? I think I deserve it. Don't you, baby?" The pet name nearly made Suna drop to his knees even if he was sitting in a chair. It's the way your voice sounded so soft and seductive, yet demanding that made him feel like this. His heart started to thump against his chest. Just as he was going to say something, the waitress walked in, a smile adorning her face.
"Hi! Can I get some drinks started for you?" She smiled, clasping her hands together. You nodded, "can I please get ice water with a lemon?" You asked, smiling politely. "And can I have a the raspberry lemonade, please?" Suna asked. "Of course! I'll be right back with those." She walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her. Suna cleared his throat, trying to rid of the awkward tension that had been created.
"You can keep staring." You looked over the menu again, making sure nothing else caught your eye beside the dish you had already settled on. "I wasn't staring." Suna quickly retorted, blinking at you before pulling his eyes away. The dress you wore was distracting. The satin fabric hugging your body in all the right places while your cleavage was on full display for him. And the back of the dress, it was open, leaving the thin fabric to cover your lower half-barely.
It was a simple red dress, but you being you, of course you made it look better than anyone else did. That's what Suna loved about you. No matter what you wore or how you looked, it fit you just perfectly. He was a little too obsessed with you if he was being honest. "Can I ask you something?" Suna continued to fiddle with his rings.
"Go ahead." You pushed your menu to the edge of the table, leaving it there as you eyes slowly met his. "How are you so calm?" Suna quirked a brow. "I don't get it." You responded.
"Faye. You just seemed to get over it. Like you don't care." Suna was inspecting your features, looking for any hint of breakage in that facade of yours. "Because, when the truth comes out, it will come out. Don't get me wrong, I'm still pissed. You fucked someone else, but so did I. Do I hate you? Maybe. Maybe not. Do I love you? I do, but you're cutting shit real close. I'm still hurt Suna, but in order for us to trust each other, for me to trust you again, I need to let shit play out."
Suna clenched his jaw, "so you're waiting for me to fuck everything up. Is that what you're saying?" Suna asked, genuinely curious. "You already have. When you do that paternity test and get those results, that's when I'll leave or when I'll stay." You spoke with a stoic expression. Every word you said was completely true. You've said this to him countless times already. If the baby is his, you'd leave. If he fucks up in general, you're gone. You won't even say anything to him. You'd just leave in the middle of the night, pack your shit and go.
"I'm sorry for what I said to you. I was pissed off that night when I came home. And when you mention Aran, I just....I got defensive. And Faye, she was never my girlfriend. I just said-"
"Said that to piss me off. Yeah, I know." You finished off his sentence before waitress walked in with your drinks. "Here you go," She placed the drinks down in their respective spots. "Are you guys ready to order or do you need a minute?" She pulled out her notebook and pen. "Yeah, can I get the beef fried rice and tempura bowl, please?" You smiled up at her. She quickly wrote it down before looking over at Suna.
"Can I please get two orders of sushi roll with a side of soy sauce and wasabi?" Suna placed his menu on top of yours as she wrote down his order in her small notebook. "Alright, your food will be out shortly!" She grabbed the menus from the table as you both thanked her. She bowed in response before heading out of the room.
"Can I ask a question? Just for my own sanity. It's been on my mind ever since it happened and I...I don't know." Suna sighed, tracing his finger around the rim of his glass. You took a sip of your water, "is it about Hiro?" You asked, adjusting in your seat. Suna silently nodded while looking at you, a slight pout on his face from where you could see. "Did he just...touch you? Or did you two actually...fuck?" Suna didn't even want to ask the question. Just the images that popped in his head were enough to make his blood boil to the point he wanted to bash Hiro's head in.
You thickly swallowed, "both." You answered sternly. Suna clenched his teeth, nostrils flaring slightly, "okay." He tore his eyes away from you, looking at the cloth covered table in front of him. "What about you and Faye? Since we're being so honest, I feel like I should know more about you two. How many times did the two of you actually fuck? Where'd you meet her?" You asked, grabbing the lemon wedge off of your glass and squeezing it into the water.
"I met her at a stupid party. We only fucked twice, I swear. It didn't even feel good. I was just looking for a distraction." Suna blinked, letting out a heavy sigh. "I was looking for one too. You really hurt me, Suna." You spoke up. Nothing stopped you from speaking your mind. "I know I did and I'm sorry. At times, I know that I don't deserve you. I really don't. But I won't lie, I'm selfish when it comes to you. I don't want to even imagine you with someone else but I know you deserve someone better. It's a goddamn miracle you're even willing to give me a chance right now."
You stayed silent, most because you didn't know what to say. What could you say? You weren't going to say 'you welcome' or anything along those lines. He wasn't deserving of it. "Thank you, y/n." It was almost like he was reading your mind. "For what, Suna? You don't need to thank me for anything because you're not going to get anything back in return." You sighed. He chewed on his bottom lip, that facade you had on was slowly breaking in front of him.
"What is it that you truly want from me? Is it my attention? Are you just scared of another girl leaving? Like Anna did? And whoever else." You shrugged, mixing your straw around in your drink. "Anna only left me because she decided she wanted to move on in life without me when we graduated high school. But with you, I only want you. I want us. I want a future with you."
You exhaled, finding it hard to look at the man in front of you. "You're just saying that." You respond, still playing with the straw in your glass. Suna let out a bitter chuckle, "really? You know that I had a dream that you were pregnant? Our little baby girl growing right inside of you. I was so happy, I could feel every emotion. It was so real to me, y/n." Suna was basically pleading, staring at you with puppy dog eyes, but you wouldn't even look his way.
Your jaw clenched at his words. How could he say something like that? "You only had that dream because your subconscious is eating away at you. Because you know that if the baby is really Faye's, there is no going back. So don't say that shit to me, Suna. I just want to have a good night, okay?" You stood up from your seat, straightening out your dress. Suna's eyes followed your figure as you left the room without saying a word.
Suna gulped, clenching his eyes shut as he silently cursed to himself. He doesn't know what to say or do. He doesn't know how to win your heart back. But he knows he won't give up. Not on you. He'll try every trick in the book just to have you as his again. That's until the truth is out for the whole world to see.
