"Where the fuck are the keys?" You mumble to yourself, looking in Suna's coat. It was empty. You groaned in annoyance, sighing loudly as you made your way to the bedroom where Suna was laying down. "Baby, where are your keys? I wanna head to the store before it gets dark" You stood in the doorway, your sweater in hand.
Suna silently turned off his phone, looking at you with a confused expression. He sat up in bed, not speaking a word. He just looked at you. "Hello, Rin?' You waved your hand in front of his face, walking into the bedroom more. Suna blinked. "Why do you need them?" He asked.
You rolled your eyes, already annoyed from running all over the house looking for them. Suna usually kept his keys in the pocket of his jacket, so when you didn't find them, you practically turned the whole house upside down. "Did you not hear me? I said I wanted to go to the store before it gets dark. We need a little bit more food for the house." You looked at him, patiently waiting for a response. 'I'm going with you then-"
"Rin, stop. You said you didn't feel well today. I can go to the store by myself while you rest." You placed your hand on his bare shoulder trying to guide him back down to the pillow. He shook his head, protesting against your actions as he whipped the cover off of him and tried to stand. "Rin, sit down, it's fine! Just tell me where the keys are." You pushed him back down.
For whatever reason, you had no clue why Suna was acting like this. For the past few days, he's been acting off. The day he came home from work all upset, and the way he's been acting super clingy or distant from you depending on the day. And then, he goes on to say he doesn't feel well today. You haven't asked him what's wrong, thinking he was just having one of those episodes and you wanted to give him as much distance as possible, but now it seems to be getting worse.
He either needed to be around you all the time or completely distant from you all the time. It made no sense. You didn't really suspect anything at first, but you're beginning to worry. He doesn't seem himself anymore. It's almost as if he's not expressing himself to you. You can tell by the look in his eyes that something or someone is bothering him, but his mouth won't open up. So, all of his feelings begin to pile up and he doesn't know what to do.
"I'm coming with you." He grabbed onto your wrist, pulling you closer. You nervously chuckled, pulling away from him. "Look at me," you gently placed your finger under his chin, tilting his head up, 'I'll be fine, baby. Where are the keys?" You gently asked, running your fingers through his brown hair. Suna exhaled, pointing at his pair of jeans that were on the dresser.
'Thank you." You placed a kiss on his forehead, walking away from him as you grabbed the pair of blue jeans, fumbling with the pocket as your fingertips touched the keys you were searching for so desperately. Behind you, Suna stood up, walking up behind you before wrapping his arms around your waist and hugging you. He rested his head in the crook of your neck, holding onto you like it was his last moment. "What's going on with you?" You raised a brow, concern shown in the tone of your voice.
"Don't leave. I don't want you to." Suna mumbled into your neck, gently shutting his eyes as the both of you stood in the room. You slowly turned around, Suna lifting his head to look at you. His eyes looked low and tired, his face expressionless. You were really worried now "Suna, what's going on with you? Remember that you could talk to me." You placed the keys down back on the dresser, taking Suna's hands in yours. Whatever was going on with him was more important than going to the store.
I don't know." He nearly said in a whisper, shrugging his shoulders. You shook your head, leading him back to the bed where you both sat down. You didn't want to push him to say anything, but you felt that if you didn't, you wouldn't get a peep out of this man, "Talk to me." You said sternly, Suna looking at you. "I just don't trust it." He spoke.
Your brows furrowed in confusion as you shifted in your seat. 'Trust what? Me?" You asked. Suna shook his head, "I don't trust what happens around you. After the thing with Hiro showing up at the house, I'm worried. I'm worried about him and you. What if you run into him at the store or some stupid shit like that?" He breathes.
"Baby," he looks at you, "why are you worried about Hiro so much? I hate him just as much as you do. I'm never picking him over you. And I know in the past when we had that argument I said some shit that was out of line, but I wasn't thinking straight. You know I love you." You grabbed his hand, holding it in yours as the pad of your thumb caressed his knuckles.
"I know, but I can't explain it. There's always this thing in the back of my mind telling me you're gonna end up leaving me sooner or later. And even though I convince myself you don't like him, my overthinking gets the best of me. It's fucking stupid." Suna sighs, rolling his eyes at how ridiculous he sounded. Listening to his words, you began to remember the few times Suna explained his past with relationships and it all started to make sense to you.
He felt he wasn't doing enough for you, he felt like you could find someone better. Girl after girl, they always ended up leaving him which caused him to put his guard up and stick with hookups for most of the time. "Is it because of your trust issues that you're thinking like this?" You asked, looking at Suna with gentle eyes. He nodded at you, afraid to admit it. "You're so stupid." You smiled.
"What?" Suna looked at you, blinking out of confusion. "Listen, I'm not leaving you for someone else and I'm not leaving in general. Does your dumbass not remember how you gave a fucking promise ring? Huh? Whatever other lame-ass bitches left you, cheated on you, they're not me."
Suna let out a chuckle, a small smile tugging at his lips. He wasn't laughing because you were wrong, he was laughing because you were right. You're the first girl in a while he's felt so close to, you're the first girl that has had made him feel special. He couldn't put it into words. He never wanted to be in a relationship again after everything, afraid of them. But, when he started doing more things with you than hooking up, he felt that warm feeling in his chest.
No matter how much he tried to ignore it, whenever he saw you it grew more. And that's when he realized that it wasn't going to go away. "Yeah, you're something special." He smiled. You smiled back, leaning in closer towards him before your eyes landed on his lips. Within a second, you placed your lips on his, slowly and gently kissing hint Suna was caught off guard, his eyes going wide before he began to kiss back, his hands finding their way to your waist.
He fell back onto the pillow as you began to straddle him, running your hands over his bare chest. Suna slightly lifted his hips, pushing them into yours. His hands found their way under your shirt, his fingers ghosting over your skin as you two still kissed. You pulled away, your head dipping into the crook of his neck, placing small kisses on his skin. "I love you, Rin." You whispered in his ear.
Suna's grip on your waist tightened as he heard those words leave your mouth. "Baby if you keep kissing my neck I'm gonna get h-"
"Hard? I know," You moved your hips against him, teasing him through his clothes. "Can I make you feel good?" You asked, lifting your head to look at Suna.
"Please." He whimpered.
