You were exhausted, your feet were hurting and your stomach was empty, only running on the few sips of water you had while driving from town to town. You and Suna were looking at potential homes, seeing which one would be the best for the both of you. It was a shared feeling that you and Suna both wanted the home to last as long as possible, but every home that you looked at so far never gave you that vision.
"I'm so hungry," you groaned, leaning your head back on the headrest of the seat.
Suna hummed in agreement, his hand placed on your thighs while his thumb gently caressed it. "After this last house we'll get some food, whatever you like."
"I'm gonna buy everything off the entire menu, swear," you shut your eyes, the sluggish feeling taking over your body. All you wanted to do was eat and sleep, having been at this since eight in the morning and driving around for six hours.
If this last home you and Suna booked to see wasn't the one you were envisioning, then you would have to start the process all over of looking for more open houses. As much as you looked forward to spending the rest of your future with him, it was quite exhausting. You kept telling yourself it'll be worth it in the end.
"I promise I'll buy you anything on the menu. Swear." He flashed a quick smile at you, turning down the road the house was located. The neighborhood was quiet enough and the location was nice. You were far enough from the city that you wouldn't have to deal with crowds of people, but close enough to it in case you wanted to do something fun. There's one pro to add to your list.
He helped you out the car, both of you greeting the realtor who was standing at the door. "You must be Suna?" She smiled, bowing.
"Yes, hello." He quickly bowed back, following her inside the house where you and him both removed your shoes at the front door. As soon you stepped in you fell in love with just how much space there was. It wasn't a huge amount like those mansion you see alone with all that empty space, but it was enough space for you to play around with.
"This is the living area, many windows, natural light, and of course all the open space. Gives you freedom to do any layout you envision. Parties, gatherings, you name it," the realtor spoke. Both you and Suna nodded along, holding each other hand and hand as she dragged you all over the house, showing the modern renovation the house recently went through.
"What do you think so far?" Suna whispered in your ear. "Think this is a good place for our future kids?" He joked. You quickly slapped his arm, looking at him in shock.
"Rin, we are not having kids anytime soon." You shook your head, looking around the master bedroom.
"That doesn't sound like a no to me," he cheerfully said, a small smile adorning his face as he looked around the room. "I like the house, baby. Better than the others."
"I like it too, it's just...there's so many more options out there and I just don't want to settle for one just because we haven't found anything else." You shrugged, resting your head on his arm. Suna brought your hand up to his lips, kissing the back of it. He could tell you were taking this seriously. Too seriously.
"Baby, we can always move in a couple years if we find something else. Sell the house and buy another. But just think about it. Don't get too technical about it. Try envisioning it as a home and not some place we'll be staying every few months." He was making suggestions, trying his hardest to change your mind. Out of all the houses you viewed, Suna really did find something special in this one and he could get used to living here with you.
"I'll think about it."

"So, how did house hunting go?" Haru excitedly asked, sitting across the cafe table from you, taking a bite from his muffin. "I find it so cute that you and Suna are finally getting a house together."
"I mean, the last house we looked it is one Suna really, really likes. It's okay, I guess." You scrunch up your face, completely unsure of your feelings at the moment. Maybe this was all moving a little too fast for you. Were you ready to move into a house right after graduating? Or are you too scared to step out of your boundaries and try something new? It was a big step in life, but you kept reminding yourself that you weren't doing it alone. You had Suna right by your side.
"It's okay? What's that mean? Is it ugly?" Haru asked, confusion written all over his face.
"No, no, it's a nice house. I guess I'm just overwhelmed by this whole thing. I feel like we're still so young? I know I said I was growing up, but I guess I'm just not ready. Maybe that's just my mindset, though." You leaned forward over the table, breaking off a piece of Haru's muffin and popping it into your mouth. For the first time in forever, Haru didn't have any advice to give or a snarky comment to make.
"Yeah, no, I got nothing for you girl. I'd say just talk to him about it. You're still young and there are plenty of opportunities for you and him to come along the way," Haru explained.
"You're right. Anyway, enough about me. How's it going with Zee?" You smiled, grabbing Haru's hand to look at the promise ring.
Haru let out a high pitched laugh, his cheeks turning a dusty pink color at the thought of his boyfriend. "We're doing great actually! Some hiccups here and there but, nothing major." Haru lifted his glass of orange juice, taking a sip. Immediately, you knew he was keeping something from you.
"Bitch, spit it out right now." You lightly shoved him, almost making him choke. "You forgot to tell me something, didn't you?"
"Maybe," he trailed off. "I just got a little jealous of Zee's coworker. He was getting too touchy feely with him." Haru pouted.
"Haru, what did you do?" You cocked your head to the side. You knew better than anyone that your best friend would not keep shut about someone else touching up on Zee.
"I might've caused a bit of a scene at his job and then argued with him at home. I just got so caught up in my head, y/n. I'm scared cause I think I'm like in love with him or some shit. I get this weird feeling in my chest every time I talk about him and I smile whenever he's around. I hate so bad—"
"God, you are long gone," you laugh.
"What? Hey, bitch you better not be laughing at me. Look at you and Suna! Mr. And Mrs. Trial and Tribulations over here." He kicked you under the table.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" You chuckle. "It's so weird seeing so into someone. It's been so long since." You take a deep breath, smiling at Haru. "Haru's in love," you say in a teasing tone, pointing your finger at him. "Does Zee know?"
"Well, we say I love you all the time, but like, how do I know he's actually in love with me? I know he got me a promise ring and shit, but I'm so scared it's gonna end up like my last relationships." Haru let out an annoyed groan, tossing his head into his hands.
"Tell him how you feel. You always tell me to talk with Suna about something, so now it's my turn to tell you. If you both say supposedly love each other then what's the harm about actually confessing your fear of losing him? What happened after the argument anyway?" You questioned.
"I cried. I felt horrible for embarrassing him at work and for yelling at him. We both walked away from each other, didn't speak for hours. Then we went to bed, he just held me without saying a word." He slumped in his seat.
"Yeah, you guys are in love," you blurt out.
"Bitch, how would you know? Your relationship wasn't exactly sunshine and rainbows. No offense." Haru awkwardly blinked.
"First of all, fuck you. Second of all, I just know." You smiled, stealing the rest of his muffin off the table. "You better talk to him," you warn.
"And you better talk to Suna." Haru stuck out his pinky.
You immediately grabbed it with yours. "Deal." You both stared at each other for few seconds. "Okay, let's go get some boba now."
"I agree." Haru quickly stood from his seat.
