Last night, walking into Henry's living room, I could smell something nice coming from the kitchen and dinner area.
It was Henry.
Looking at him from were I stood, I could tell he wasn't happy judging from the frown on his face. When he finally noticed I was standing at the entrance to the dinner room, he placed the last ceramic plate he was holding on the table and let out a small smile.
"You must be hungry," Henry approached me. I couldn't help but stare at him. I could tell he knew something was wrong but was trying hard not to show it. It wasn't like I wanted to tell him what went down.
His long masculine fingers wrapped around my wrist and tucked me closer towards him, as he led me to the dinner room. Getting there, he pulled a chair forward and helped me sat down. If I said I wasn't surprised by his gesture, then I was lying. Once I felt a bit relaxed, Henry sat on his usual chair. He stretched out his hands, reaching for the bowls and started revealing each content.
"I had to call my sister on the phone to help me prepare this." He revealed the first bowl which contained jollof rice with every good ingredients in it. I could see the green beans and carrot in it, I could also see how he did the liberty to slice the onions into ring shapes. Another bowl was filled with turkey which looked a little bit burnt and dried, but still edible... I think.
"D-dorcas?" I was still confused by his actions and why Dorcas would help him with this.
"No, my immediate elder sister, Olamide." Henry moved from his chair and sat at the one by my right. He placed his chin on his palm which was supported by his elbow resting on the table. "Don't worry, she was really happy to help."
I gave a closed lip smile and grasp a spoonful of rice. "It's really nice, sir. Aren't you going to eat?"
Henry shook his head, "It's all yours." There was no way I could finish all this by myself, was what I wanted to say. "Do you have anything to say to me, Hope?"
I blinked at his question then shook my head. "Anything at all?"
I don't know why he kept asking me these questions but I still felt it was best I went with a no. He finally let it go and just watched me eat. Sometimes, putting water in my glass cup whenever I belch or cough a little.
Today, we were on set. Henry and Yemi was getting groomed to act their last scene while Jackson and Baby were getting info on where to stand for their parts.
I sat at a secluded place filled with pedals. No one paid attention to me which was understandable, judging that I wasn't as important as Henry and Yemi. Soon I felt the need to pee and quickly got up to move to the toilet at the very back. Once I was done peeing and washing my hands, I decided to head out but Yemi stepped in.
I gave a slight bow and moved to the left to give her some space so she could walk through, but she blocked me. I let out a small sigh and moved to the right but she blocked my path again.
"Do you by chance need anything ma'am?" I asked in a deep voice but Yemi gave a disgusting scoff.
"Can you cut the act?" She snorted in disgust, staring at me from head to toe. "Cherry."
My mouth slightly fell open. "Sorry?"
"I said cut the act!" Yemi snapped angrily, pulling my boy wig in a flash and tossing it to God knows where. "You fraud that's trying to steal my boyfriend!"
"I'm not a fraud," I gasped, trying to get away from her. Cherry would've not cared and beat the crap out of Yemi, but I was no longer Cherry. I was Hope. And Hope would try her best to explain herself and let Yemi understand the decisions she'd made. "I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend."
"The audacity," Yemi snarled. "How much do you want?"
"What?" It wouldn't take a genius to know what she meant and for some obvious reasons, it made me look cheap. She made it sound like I was cheap.
Yemi brought out her phone, moved towards me and started pulling my wig cap off. "Can you believe this? You literally insulted my boyfriend and now, disguised yourself as a guy just to be his baby mama? Are you that much of a slut?!"
I couldn't watch her slut shame me knowing she didn't give me the chance to explain myself. "I'm not a slut! Just stop the video and let me explain my god-damn self to you!"
"There's nothing to explain," Yemi spat at me. "The world will know what a cheap slutty person you are. Everyone and Henry will know how low of a person you can be."
"I told you to stop slut shaming me!" The anger kept sipping in as minutes passed. "I am not a slut, I don't sleep around. Just please, let me explain myself to you."
"When as a slut ever admit they are one?" Yemi kept testing me. And right now, I was a ticking bomb ready to explode. "Do the world a favour and disappear."
She pressed something on her phone and placed it in her purse before walking away. I held the sink and gasped for air, trying to calm my racing heart.
This is bad, very bad.
Henry would know about this and probably never want to see me again. Funnily enough, I wasn't thinking of my salary never reaching me but Henry, never talking to me ever again. I needed to explain things to him, to let him know I never had any ill intention when getting into this bodyguard life.
Immediately I'd fixed myself, I stepped out of the toilet in searched of Henry. One of the movie crew walked up to me and blocked my part. "Are you busy? Scrap that. Yemi wants you to go over to the previous set. She left her jacket there."
I tried to escape but this person kept obstructing my path. "I'm busy guarding Henry. Can't you look for someone else?"
"Yemi wants you," She emphasized with a shrug. I sighed in frustration knowing arguing would lead to no where. "She told me to tell you not to get back here until her jacket is found."
"What if I don't find it?" I asked in disbelief. The lady shrugged and walked away. All I could do was carry out the instructions though I desperately wanted to see Henry.

I had lost track of time but could clearly see that it'd been hours I'd been searching for Yemi's jacket and still haven't found it yet. I was starting to believe there was no jacket and that she'd pulled the J.K stunt on me.
I jerked up suddenly, feeling my phone vibrating in my pocket. I dug my hand to bring it out and eventually flinched upon sighting the caller ID.
I gulped, placing the phone close to my ear. "Hello?"
"My office, now!" I gulped again, feeling my heart beating hard and fast against my chest. I wouldn't be told twice. I left Yemi's task and hurried over to Filmzy Entertainment.
Finally getting there, I felt eyes on me. Almost everyone kept staring at me as I found my way to Dorcas' office. I had always vision myself being stared at by celeb like I'm in the spotlight, but not like this. Definitely not like this.
Getting to Dorcas' office, I gave a small knock and then opened the door. Dorcas was resting on her desk with crossed legs which was tapping the floor continuously.
"What's this?" She stretched her phone towards me. I hesitantly took it and stared at the screen. It was of course a blog with over a million views. I could tell what the video was about without clicking on it.
"I can explain this," I placed Dorcas' phone on the table. "I didn't have any ill intention, I swear. I knew we started things off at a wrong path but I really didn't have any ill intention when I asked for this job. I didn't even know Henry would be the one I'll be working for. You just have to believe me."
"That wasn't what this Christy of a girl said, and she's your best friend." Dorcas lifted a brow and reached for her phone. Christy? What the hell have I done to her to let her stab me in the worst way possible. "I don't talk much and you should be aware of that. I didn't call you here for your explanation, but call you here to tell you that your services are no longer needed. Get your stuff out of my brother's house and possibly out of his life. I'll wire in some money to you, atleast to compensate your sorry ass."
She said each words with authority and all I could do was to stare at her with a heavy heart. How wrong was I to think that Christy had a good face and a good heart. Indeed, do not trust anyone but yourself.
"I don't need your money," I swallowed. If it was Cherry, I would gladly take it but I wasn't Cherry. "I'll do as you've said. I'll leave Henry's house and Henry's life. You'll never see me again. But,"
I paused and gulped, clenching my hands into fist. "I really do like your brother. I don't know when this feelings started, but I do. You can have the money and probably donate it to the less privileged. It was nice knowing you, Dorcas. I just hope you'll put your brother's happiness over fortune."
I turned and left her office, not having any more reasons to be in her presence.
