I was given permission to go change. But before I arrived at my street, I moved to a secluded area to takeoff my disguise. Now walking on my street, I was just an ordinary girl with an oversized hoodie and a sweat pants.

Too bad I was anything but ordinary.

My present state didn't stop others from talking since I was that girl that got broadcasted by the Nigerian heartthrob. Asshole.

I got to the compound to see ancient of days talking to mama Anderson. Mama Anderson was a gossip at our compound, a really strong one at that. She was a mother of four and had left her husband. Maybe got divorced or something, I don't know. All in all, she lived in that small room with her four tiny children while bringing several men home with no shame.

Neither ancient of days or mama Anderson said a word when they saw me. But immediately I walked passed them, I started hearing whispers and tiny laughs.

"She don go do her night waka," Ancient of days whispered to mama Anderson.

"Na that other one dey teach her na, watin this smallie know." Mama Anderson had the effrontery to say.

"Birds of a feather-"

"Flocks together!" I turned and glared at both of them. "You no see how the two of una fit? Perfect duo."

My outburst must have gotten to my room as Christy and Baby emerged.

"Cherry," Christy said with a surprised tone. I had texted, telling her I won't be coming home last night while stating my reasons. But I guess she never knew I'd be back this early.

"Instead to dey find means on how to better your life and your children's, you dey here dey gossip about me. You think say you better pass me?!" I couldn't respect someone like mama Anderson, that was for sure.

"Christy, better mind this your friend!"

"E-eh!" Christy waved her hands dangerously close to mama Anderson's face. "When you were opening your mouth waaaah like parrot, you did not know you'd end up getting insulted bah? You think say you dey wash us? We are single with extremely bright future ahead. What about you? Mrs I was married."

All Baby did was laugh. Very annoying, yes. But it was also best for him not to talk inside our matter.

"Abeg Cherry, make we dey go. Na empty vessel dey make noise pass. Nonsense and ingredient!"

Christy matched forward while I followed suit, holding the nylon tightly in my grip. We finally got to the room, me sitting in bed and opening the nylon for both to see the rice, burger, donut and table water.

"So na because of this she throw ice-cream for your body?!" Christy said in a loud voice. I had secretly heated them this morning at Henry's place, so they were still warm. "You see why Henry needs to break up with that girl and date me."

I scrunched my nose at Christy, she was starting to get obsessed with this Henry dude. Baby being the unbothered king he was, started eating the rice. Free breakfast was definitely the sweetest.

"He doesn't look like he likes her sef," I blurted out dividing the burger and donut into three while having the table water all to myself. Since I'd blurted my words out, I decided to continue. "I showed him your picture though."

Christy dropped her spoon right after hearing that, then leaned so close to me. "And what did he say?"

"That I should date you," I shrugged. To Christy, it felt like millions of glasses shattered inside her ear as she leaned back.

"Which kind yeye talk be that one?"

I laughed. "Finally you've agreed your crush is stupid."

Christy used her spoon to smack my upper arm. "You probably didn't use the right words on him."

I scoffed, letting it go. Her issue wasn't my priority right now. I needed to eat fast and get changed so I won't be late.

"Atleast she tried for you. What about J.K?" Baby moved closer to me. "You know I'm the only one taking you to work. Be grateful na."

I used my free hand to push him away from me, then munched on my share of the burger. "I spoke to him."

"And...." Baby dragged expectantly.

"He doesn't need a rapper." I wasn't a miracle worker, my friends needed to know that. My name wasn't even Miracle so how did they think I could convince those two important public figures? Christy chuckled at Baby's sad face which angered him, but she was still sad I didn't put enough words to convince Henry.

"But you ship both of us right?" Christy asked out of nowhere, making me to groan in my head. "I mean me and Henry."

"Ship both of you?" I gasped dramatically. "Honey, I fucking titanic you both!"

Atleast that got her smiling and probably shut her up for the time being. I noticed Baby searching his pocket like he had lost something.

"What are you looking for?" I finally asked, seeing him mumbling curses to himself.

"I thought I had two kay with me." He announced.

My eyes went wide all of a sudden. "Ritualist, where una dey see this kind money?"

Baby totally ignored me, searching his back pockets. Finally he found four notes of five hundred naira inside the transparent rice plate and knelt to thank God that we haven't disposed the trash yet. "Ordinary two kay you dey call me ritualist. Wahala for who no come be ritualist."

I laughed while scrolling through my phone. Christy probably knew what I was doing since she saw me searching pictures to post on Twitter. I clicked on a picture we took on the night of that incident that happened between Henry and I.

"What are you doing?" She could clearly tell what I was doing. I had all night to think about my current situation and decided I shouldn't let anyone control me, not even fans of some celebrity. "You are not posting anything on social media. What's wrong with you?!"

I ignored her still as I settled on four gorgeous pictures, not bothering with a thread.

"Have you gone nuts?! We want the issue to die down, not resurface. Why on earth her you posting?!" Christy reached for my phone and I slapped her hands away, then clicked on the tweet button.

"Stop crying over spilled milk, Christy." I breathed, my heart pounding hard as series of notification flooded my phone. "There are still going to talk, regardless."

I had captured my tweet with; Your girl's back, yo mama! Not the best caption in the world, since it would obviously anger a lot of people. But guess what, their father! No be them sub for me.

This time Christy successfully snatched my phone, mouthing the word 'stubborn baboon'. At first I thought she was gonna delete my post but instead she went straight to the notification to open a comment.

Currently, my post had fifty-two likes, a hundred and seven quoted tweets and fifteen retweets. Whenever you see a quoted tweets higher than the likes and retweet, just know you're getting canceled. Right now, I knew I was getting canceled.

Christy moved to the quoted tweets to see what many had to say.

"Shame don finish for this one dictionary. I no blame her, na her papa wey no pull out nayin I blame." Christy kept reading must of the quotes as I felt my heart threatening to pounce. Suddenly, a confuse look enveloped Christy's face, followed by a small smile.

"Looks like you've got some supporters," She said to me. "You guys should leave her alone, no be she kill Jesus. If your mumu country give her job she for dey do fake life? No be say she kill person una dey shout."

I watched as Christy kept scrolling and it was obvious she saw more positive quotes, judging by the look on her face. "All of you shouting fake life as if you are not also doing that in the closet. Because yours isn't made open doesn't give you the right to judge her. Let the girl breathe."

"Like this like this, my babe don blow." Baby laughed while looking on his phone. I looked to see he was on Facebook. "Yaba left isn't left behind."

I reached for his phone to read the article headline made by those classic amebos. "Cherry Jesus known for being humiliated by Henry Williams, finally made a comeback on social media with the caption; Your girl's back, yo mama! Click to see different reactions from Nigerians."

"Better no click anything," Baby took his phone from me. "I no get sub."

"Stingy goat," I got up, dusted my palms and moved to the ghana must go that had my boys stuff.

"You know what?" Exclaimed Christy while I spun to face her. "A wise script writer once wrote on High School Musical, we're all in this together."

I rolled my eyes and focused on what I'll wear today. "What are you planning on doing?" I asked dryly. Christy didn't respond. I decided to put on a leather jacket this time - just in case of necessity, which would be over a white plain shirt and brown tailored trouser. "Baby you go soon bounce, I wan change."

"What do you have that I've not seen?"

"You're mad," I turned and gave him the waka sign.

Baby got up from the carpet, dusted his trousers against invisible dust before heading out. "Better do quick, I'll be outside waiting for you.

Once he was out of sight, I got rid of the hoodie and sweat pant then my underwear, leaving me completely naked. Since I had my bath at Henry's, there was no need going over to that infectious toilet.

"Christy, you fit help me watch this hoodie and joggers?" I asked, placing a new set of wraps against my breast.

"Only if you pay me," She replied, still on her phone. "And we both know you don't have money."

"Who tell you say I no get money?" I struggled with the slightly tight brown trousers. "Me way get twenty kay for aza."

"See who dey call person ritualist," She scrunched her nose, eyes still on her phone. "Where you dey see that kind money."

I snorted then placed the leather brown jacket over my shoulders, before working on my other disguise. "That Yemi issue na, Henry gave me twenty kay for my troubles."

That got Christy swooning like a sixteen years old. "Henry is so generous. Can't wait to marry him and have fifteen cats."

"If I call you witch now, you go talk say na insult. Watin you wan use fifteen cats do?" Finally done with my disguise, I stared at myself in the mirror.

Feeling satisfied with my look, I reached for my phone which was beside Christy and noticed it was still on Twitter with lots of notification. But amongst the many notifications was Christ's. She had tweeted a post and had mentioned my '@' in it. Christy was also someone with many followers, fifty-seven I guess. She had posted a picture of the both of us and had captioned it with; She's beautiful, strong and say things to people's faces unlike some cowards hiding on social media throwing shades. She never stole and never announce her net worth. Your assumptions made the better of your brain making y'all think she was rich. Don't blame her on your wrong thoughts and let my girl breathe life.

I felt my throat getting heavy as I felt touched by her long defence. She was indeed the best. Instead of saying something to Christy, I went to the comment section placed a picture of the both of us with a writeup; They say love someone with a good heart and not a good face, but Christy got both. Pressing send, Christy must have seen it as she lifted her head and gave me a small smile.

"You know you're gonna get dragged, right?" Christy only shrugged, then went to lay in bed.

"Don't care," She reached for her laptop, probably to watch a movie.

"About the hoodie and joggers," I said to her. "Don't wash it."

Christy lifted her head with creased brows. "You know I was just joking right? About you paying."

"I know," I let out a chuckle while putting on my sneakers. "Henry gave this to me, it's only right to wash it myself."

Christy nodded, focusing more on her laptop.

"Well, off I go." I announced once I was set.

"Buh bye!" She waved, not sparing me a glance. I shook my head at her silliness, then stepped out.

Only if I knew I was wrong, then I wouldn't have been so sure of my thoughts. The saying was right after all.....

So that's it for this chapter. Do you think Cherry made the right decision to not care about her current situation?

I decided to start writing a teen fiction while also writing this. So this would be like the first time I'm writing two stories at once. So you can check that out if you aren't aware, by going over to my profile and clicking on the story titled 'All For One'. It's just in its second chapter.

Okay with that said, don't forget to....
