"For me it's Henry then Baby. Though Henry might be surrounded with drama I think he's the most reasonable person. I chose Baby because He's an unbothered king.
For my least I'll choose Hope. I love her, her character is fun and I laugh everytime for real. But she needs a huge character development. Like how to control her mouth when necessary and to tolerate things."

"My bodyguard?" Henry lowered his phone with a bewildered look plastered on his face. "You're kidding, right?"
"I told you I'll get you one," Dorcas leaned forward to reason with Henry. "I know you said no and all but, you're my baby brother and I care about you."
Brother?
"Isn't he like fifteen?" The audacity this asshole and everyone had with getting my age wrong. He stood up and came closer to me, over shadowing me with his body. "Look wise and height I'm way bigger. He's little. How on earth do you expect him to protect me?"
"I believe he will," Henry let out a sigh at Dorcas' adamant decision and went back at his earlier position.
"Was he the applicant you had to get his application from the trash?"
Trash?
"You're giving me a leftover?"
Leftover?!
"Why?" He sounded exhausted and I felt like bitch slapping him.
Calm down, calm down, calm down. Just think about the hundred Kay and smile.
"This is for your own good-"
"How is this for my own good? It looks like I'm babysitting him." Henry didn't let his new informed sister finish her statement. He turned to me while I was still clenching my teeth. "How old are you?"
"Twenty-two," I swallowed my pride.
"And I'm older," Henry turned to his sister. He was only a year older yet made it seemed like he was Edward from twilight.
"I'm out of here, now I've finally found the push to go meet Jackson." He got up to take a one look at me. "And don't follow me."
I heard the door slam shut. He was indeed angry.
"Hey," Dorcas hissed while I gave her a confused look.
"Huh?" I was in a dilemma.
"Just go, follow him." She instructed. I quickly nodded and scurried out of her office. Luckily for me, I sighted Henry rounding up at a corner.
As if he was aware of being followed, Henry increased his pace further. He got to the elevator while I quickly rushed and slid in before the elevator closes, leaving just the both of us inside the box that felt small because of how intense the atmosphere was. "Why are you a pest?"
"I'm your bodyguard. Of course I'm like a human pest." I just couldn't hold it in me. His arrogance was just too much.
"Did you just talk back at me?" Henry turned to me, his nose flaring up in anger. "You're fired."
Atleast let me receive my first month salary, asshole!
"I'm sorry sir, I don't know what came over me." I tried letting him see reasons. "I've always been made fun of cause of how little I look. You did the same thing and it was upsetting.
"I only hope it ends. It isn't my fault I was born small, I had always been like this ever since my eighteenth birthday." I kept lying while side eyeing him to see if he was actually buying my lies. "But if you look pass my appearance, you'll know how not timid I can be."
Henry pulled his right hand from his pocket and toss something at me. "Do you drive?"
I barely got the key same time the elevator door slid open. "Yeah I do."
Atleast, that wasn't a lie. Baby had thought Christy and I how to drive few months back. Christy eventually stopped cause of how terrible she was while I took all the praises Baby showered that day.
We were finally out of the building with Henry, leading the way to his car. I fought so hard not to tell him the waka sign at the back of his head. I really didn't like him.
Once we got into his car, a GPS spoke once Henry typed something on his phone. "Take me there."
I looked at the little monitor on the dashboard and nodded. "Yes sir."
I started the ignition and carefully reverse before zooming off to the main road with both hands tightly wrapped around the steering wheel.
"Jackson...." Henry picked up his phone immediately after it rang. "She's with you? Why?!" Henry sounded pissed, he seemed to be having a bad day. Good.
"I'm not going..... It's your fault. We'll see tomorrow." There was another pause. "You owe me, I swear."
He ended the call with that. I managed to glance at him through the rear view mirror but got him staring back which forced me to nervously pay my attention back on the road.
"Why do you look familiar?" My heart skipped a beat after those words. My eyes waver and my Palm became sweaty as I looked for an excuse.
"You must have seen me before," My real voice almost slipped but I coughed to cover it up. "You know what people say sir. The world is a small place.
Henry looked at the side, engrossed by the scenery and not bothering on replying me. Following the GPS, I parked in front of a restaurant. It was obviously a luxurious one. We both stepped down from his car. He walked ahead while I walked behind him, protecting his gigantic ass.
Entering into the restaurant, I hissed at how cold the place was. It was like I was thrown into a freezer. I tried not to let it show as the people around especially Henry, seemed not to be affected.
Henry finally approached a table and I could recognize two faces. Oh, Jackson.
Wondering whom Jackson was, he happened to be a musician going by the initial J.K. People love and adore his ass as they crowed his concert world wide. I would've known Henry was meeting J.K, they were close friends and Nigerians cherished their ass so much. Right in front of Jackson was Yemi, the actress and Henry's girlfriend.
Yemi stood up and placed her hands around Henry, which he reciprocated. But the look I noticed on his face spoke a different volume.
Henry sat close to Yemi, while both sat across Jackson. I stood there, my hands behind my back. Trust me, it was torture. How on earth could I stand still in this cold. Now I knew what Elsa felt in frozen two cause right now, the cold was bothering me.
"You got a bodyguard?" Yemi asked, staring at me with her cat eyes. It felt weird being scrutinized under her gaze.
Yemi like I said earlier, was the nation's fairy. The beauty standard for females. She was beautiful, breathtaking, blessed with the right curves. But I refused to belive she was more beautiful than I was.
Impossible!
Right now she was putting on a forest green skimpy dress with black water heels. Her hair was styled upwards, revealing her exposed forehead. Her makeup was nicely done, same went with her nails which was close to the designer bag she had placed on the table for full display. Her artificial lashes were quite long and her contact lenses which was hazel gray, made her face pop out nicely.
God when? God when? God when?!
Yemi was my motivation.
"Unfortunately," Henry looked up at me before moving his gaze back to Yemi. "Yes."
"Why's he standing that way?" Jackson seemed not to like my presence.
"No no, let him." Yemi quickly intervened, smiling brightly at Jackson. She really was indeed the beauty standard. It was very rare for me to admire my fellow girl and when I do, then know it was sincerely worth it. Right now, I noticed how her smile enhanced her beauty even more. "He makes us look important."
Wahala for who no get fine smile.
So this was Christy's competition? The way she was going to loose.
"Why are you laughing?" Yemi turned to me, scrunching in her face in confusion. It then occurred to me I laughed out loud after thinking of how Christy was going to loose to Yemi.
"Huh....."
"Aren't you important already?" I was unintentionally saved by Henry.
Yemi turned to her boyfriend and placed her arms around him. "Of curse! But there's nothing wrong with being more important."
Was that even a thing?
I rolled my eyes and decided to look elsewhere, only to see Jackson staring at me. Wow, I just got caught. But instead of outing about seeing me rolling my eyes, he just secretly chuckled and shook his head. I guess he wasn't all that bad.
"So hotel king," Yemi called out, still clinging herself around Henry. "Are you ready to get a house now?"
"No. I've got a concert to do in South Africa three months from now. After that, one in Las Vegas. I really don't want to get a house now since I'm not stable in Nigeria." Jackson mumbled the last part while sipping his wine.
"But that's three months from now," Yemi tried moving even closer to Henry but Henry pulled away. Maybe they had a fight earlier. "Are you going to stay in the hotel for three months?"
"I'm capable," Jackson laughed, showing off his dimples.
"You can stay at my place," Henry suggested. "I had suggested that to you earlier and you won't budge."
Jackson let out a small laugh. "I just don't want to be a burd-"
"Last time I was a burden to this senior. He didn't desert me and kept protecting me. I'll survive." My eyes were fixed on Henry. Why does he sound different?
Oh yeah, I had omitted something. Jackson and Henry were kind of close. They knew each other right from secondary school with Jackson a year and class higher than Henry. Well that was what the media said. I wondered how they kept their friendship. I couldn't count how many of my secondary school mates was still my friend. All in all, my secondary mates were all doing well. With the boys cashing out and the girls making money in whatever way they seemed fit, life couldnt be more satisfying.
"Thanks," Jackson stretched his hand and both did some weird handshake I was quite sure took decades to perfect. "So how about your sister?"
"Married," Henry said in a dismissal tone, forcing Jackson to laugh out. I guess it was some sort of inside joke while Yemi sat there, looking like the odd one out.

I waited outside the work place for Baby. I couldn't wait to go home. After the meet and greet at the restaurant, Henry and friends went over for clubbing spending close to four hours, before moving over to the hotel Jackson was in to get his bags. I drove over to Henry's home which wasn't just a home but a freaking mansion. Henry seemed to have forgotten something so I drove him back to Flimzy, which he finally dismissed me.
Now here I was, waiting for Baby.
"You're still here?" I jumped, hearing the voice behind me. "Do you get frightened that easily?"
I gulped.
"Of course not," I dragged while Henry gaze were solidly fixed on me. "I was about to go all Jackie Chan on you."
"Jackie Chan?" Henry repeated and I could see a ghost smile playing on his lips.
"He's a-"
"I know who he is," Henry dismissed not so harshly, as a single head light beamed at our direction. Baby finally arrived with his bike, stopping in front of us.
"Sup," Baby took off his gigantic helmet and said while nudging his head once.
"Sup nigga," I bounced and punched him hard on his right shoulder which forced him to wince.
"Sorry, sorry." I whispered trying to blow the pain away. "No vex."
"I know you," I rolled my eyes at Henry's words. "I mean, it's impossible not to know you since I've watched it countless times."
"You've watched my rap videos?" Baby's eyes shown with surprise.
"No, the incident that happened that night at that club. You know, the viral video." I really wanted that video to disappear from the surface of this earth.
Henry's brows furrowed. "But you rap?"
"Oh great, look at the time!" I exclaimed getting behind Baby on his bike. "I just remembered I need to do something tonight. I'm sorry sir."
Henry gave a slight nod as an approval to leave. "Just come to work on time tomorrow."
"Yes sir," I nodded while Baby started his bike. Soon, we were out of Filmzy's premises.
"Watin dey do you sef?" Baby grumbled, still driving. "You no want make I blow?"
I hissed loudly behind him, so he could hear me. "Blow ko, ballon ni."

Baby and I finally arrived at the compound around eight in the night and as usual, I wasn't surprised to see Mary out. She was always out as if her room was itching her or something.
Baby and I got to the house to see Christy getting ready for work.
"Babe," I land in bed with a deep sigh. "Adulthood is hard o."
"So all the hustling you've been hustling, you did not know that adulthood is hard." Christy hissed, placing pink gloss against her lips. "How was work?"
"Hard," I pulled out the disguise on my face and let my weave on fall down my shoulder blades. "Very, very hard. Henry was an asshole. I met J.K, Yemi-"
"Henry?!"
"J.K?!"
I pressed my lips into a small frown as I stared at Christy then Baby. "Dude, link me up with J.K na?"
"Tell me his real name and I'll link you up." I shrugged off my leather jacket.
"Abeg forget about Baby." Christy pushed Baby aside and crawled towards me. "You met my future hubby again?!"
"I'm his bodyguard," I inform her, while moving over to our mini fridge to get pure water.
"You're..... His.... W-what?!" Christy exclaimed behind me.
"Yes o," I turned to her while tearing the tip of my water. Once the water went down my throat, I let out a satisfying sigh.
"How? When? How?!" Christy eyes went wider than before. She needed every details so I filled her in. How I found out he and Dorcas were actually related, how I got fired in the elevator and re-employed, how I drove him to the restaurant to meet his friend and girlfriend, how they went clubbing and how life goes on if she doesn't get Henry.
"Yemi," Christy kissed her teeth while folding her arms in annoyance. "That bleaching queen."
I tried my best not to laugh which was getting really impossible. "Jealousy."
"I no fine pass the girl?" Christy frown.
I scoffed, "Do I know?"
"Cherry!" She slapped my upper arm.
"Oya, you're more prettier. Happy?" Christy let out a satisfying smile. "Abeg you cook?"
"Na indomie me eat o.. Be like say you go do the same." I groaned as I set to look for the lighter to light the gas.
"Cherry, link me up with J.K na?" I had totally forgotten about Baby. I turned to see Baby acting all humble which made me laughed so hard.
"I don't even know him, how do you expect me to link you up with him?" I placed a small pot on the gas head as I moved to get two noodles.
"You work there," Baby went on. "You'll surely find a way."
The way both my friends thought I was some miracle worker. I shouldn't have mentioned Jackson.
"Fine," Anything to get Baby off my back. "I'll try. Keyword! try."
Baby got up from the floor and ran to hug me. Lifting me up and spinning me. "Abeg drop me down before fan cut my head."
"See eh," Baby finally placed me down. "Once I finally blow, I won't forget you."
Baby that was an expert at loose guarding someone, I wondered what he'll do when he finally makes it. But I stood there and listened to his false promises with a smile plastered on my face.
