"Looks like I'm not the only one he called." Buffy spoke as she walked to the front door ofΒ the Salvatore Boarding House along side her biological dad, who had arrived at the same moment and caring a box in his arms.
"You're not." Alaric said, shaking his head.
"What does Damon need anyway? I was sleeping."Β
"He found out about the moonstone." Alaric shortly, explained, giving his daughter a worried look that was missed by her.
"Wonderful." Buffy spoke with sarcasm as she opened the door. She knew that the stone had something to do with Lycanthrope and personally she wanted nothing to do with it.
"Ric! Buffy!" Damon greeted as he saw the duo walking in.Β
Alaric placed the box down as he turned towards Jeremy, while Buffy looked inside the box to see it filled with papers. "What are you doing here?"
"Helping Damon. I'm the one who found out about the moonstone." Jeremy explained.
"From who?" Buffy asked.
"Tyler."
"Mhm." Buffy hummed as she sat down next to her brother on the couch.
"What do you got?" Damon asked as he walked over to the box, a Bourbon in his hand.
"This is Isobel's research from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me." Alaric said, making Damon smirk at him.
"Vanessa, the hottie."
"Yeah, Vanessa, yes. Now do you remember the Aztec curse she told us about?" Alaric asked after sighing at Damon's childish behavior.Β
"The sun and the moon, bla bla bla?"
"The Aztec curse, cool." Jerermy said while standing up and walking over to the two men.
"Yes supposedly, vampires and werewolves used to roam freely until a shaman put a curse on them to eliminate their power. Since then werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires are weakened by the sun." Alaric explained.
Damon held up his hand in the air and waved his fingers around as he walked over to the fire. "Most of them, anyway."
Alaric went on, paying no attention to Damon's words. "According to the legend the werewolf part of the curse is sealed with the moonstone." He showed Jeremy an old drawing, explaining the curse.
"What do you mean sealed?" Jeremy asked.
"It's a witch thing. Whatever seals the curse is the key to unsealing the curse." Damon spoke, turning back to the three.
"Maybe Mason Lockwood believes it is the moonstone to break the curse." Alaric suggested.
"If we start believing in some supernatural witchy-woo legend from a picture book, we're idiots." Damon said.
"But would it be possible?" Buffy asked from her seat, suddenly showing interest in the stone, which didn't come over as weird to the three at all. Mason, the person she was closer to than her actual dad was already suffering because of the curse, and she and Tyler had a chance of getting the curse as well if they weren't careful enough.
Β "Who has the stone now?" Damon questioned the youngest Gilbert.
"Tyler."
"Can you get it?" He continued.
"Yeah."
"See now your life has purpose."
"So you believe it?" Jeremy asked Damon, ignoring Damon's comment.
"It's the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. Ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot. Let's go." Damon spoke, already walking towards the door without waiting for the others to follow him.

Buffy let out a laugh as she stood with the two Salvatore brothers, looking at Stefan, who was standing there as serious as always. "Okay, so you are saying that my dad is dating Katherine?" She asked, her mind blocking the thought.
"Yes."
"You're saying, he is dating someone who looks exactly like my sister?" Buffy continued, even more confused.
Again the Salvatore nodded his head.
"What is wrong with parents these days?" Buffy muttered to herself as she shook her head, wanting the image of Mason kissing her sister's doppelgΓ€nger out of her mind.
"What's wrong with your parents you mean?" Damon asked.
"That's not even funny." Buffy replied, slapping his arm.
"We missed it. He got into town right after she did. It makes perfect sense." Stefan replied, not even paying attention to the mini fight in front of him.
"I know, but Mason Lockwood? Werewolf thing aside, the guy's a surfer. She's gotta be using him. She has to be?"Β
"Using him for what?" Stefan asked.
"Maybe he is teaching her how to surf?" Buffy suggested, even tho it came out more like a question.
"Mason Lockwood is looking for a moonstone that allegedly can break the full-moon werewolf curse. Maybe Katherine wants it as well."
"Why?" Stefan asked.
"Well no idea. That's the beauty of Katherine. She's always up to something." Damon replied with a shrug.
"So how are we gonna find this moonstone?" Stefan asked the two.
"Jeremy is getting it from Tyler."Β
"Why would you involve Jeremy?" Stefan said, slapping his brother's shoulder lightly, before walking away.
"He's playing Indiana Jones. He involved himself." Damon yelled after Stefan, who looked back at his older brother, annoyed.

"My mom, where is my mom, Elena? Is she okay?" Buffy asked her cousin as she came storming into the waiting room, where both Elena and Jeremy were standing. The girl had come as soon as she got the call from Alaric.
"The doctors told Alaric that she got lucky. She's gonna make it. She's gonna be okay." Elena told her with starting tears in her eyes, calming down both Buffy and Jeremy in front of her.
"Does she remember what happened?" Jeremy asked.
Elena shook her head. "No, nothing, that's all part of Katherine's mind's compulsion."
"Why would Katherine hurt Jenna?" Jeremy asked.
"Because she's trying to send a message. That she could get to anybody." Elena said as she started to cry.
"Hey, come here." Jeremy said as he embraced his sister. "Look it's gonna be okay."
"No, it's not."
"She's gonna pay, Elena. I don't know how, but she's gonna pay." Jeremy spoke in anger.
"Which room?" Buffy muttered out, breaking the hug between the siblings, looking at Elena, expectedly.
"Buffy-" Elena was cut off.
"Which room?" She repeated.
"314, but the doctors said-"
"I don't care what they said." Buffy spoke as she left the two Gilbert siblings to go to her mother's room.
Arriving there, Alaric was sitting by her asleep mother's side, standing up, immediately as he saw his daughter's teary face.
"Mom." The girl said in a whispered as she walked closer to the bed. Despite knowing that her mother would be okay, her heart broke at the sight of her mother lying in that bed.
A sight that made her break out in tears as she though about all theΒ scenarios where this could have ended in a complete different light. The only thing keeping her on her feet, was her father wrapping his arms around her, allowing the girl to silently cry against him.
