(act one, chapter five: you're undead to me)

"Hey, why aren't you dressed yet?" Jenna asked her niece when Elena arrived downstairs. She and her daughter had been eating breakfast for a while before Buffy had started making some for Amy, who was still asleep in her bed.

"Because a half naked Vicki Donovan was standing in the bathroom. Are you aware of what's going on upstairs?" Elena asked.

Her mom hummed.

"And you have no objection?" Elena asked with a raised eyebrow as she took a seat.

"He could be craftier about it. At least make an effort to sneak her in and out."

"Yeah, that's true." Buffy said as she picked some cereal from the shelf and a bowl for the asleep girl upstairs.

"Oh, and just so you know, I won't be home for dinner."

"You're actually gonna do it. Go out with Logan?" Elena asked and Buffy looked up at her mother with surprise as well.

"I'm gonna show up and torture him, yes."

"Yes and if he hurts you, I'll just kick his ass." Buffy said.

"You have me permission." Jenna winked at her daughter, who picked up the bowl and started making her way back upstairs. The Sommers girl had been quite worried for Amy ever since she woke up. She couldn't even imagine going through what she had been through and Amy didn't even remember most of it.

"Hey, you're awake. I got you some breakfast." Buffy gave Amy the bowl with cereal.

"Thanks." Amy replied almost directly putting the spoon in her mouth since she was quite hungry.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Buffy asked as she sat down on her bed, next to Amy, who sighed.

"I remember the party. Damon came up behind me and he was kissing my neck or biting my neck. I passed out. It's like there's holes in my memory lately. It's just weird. Maybe I let him bite me."

"Why would you do that?"

"Do you have something to cover this up. I just wanna stop thinking about him and the whole situation."

"Yes" Buffy said while standing up and walking over to her drawer, where her make up was laying on. "Here."

"Thanks."

"No friend discounts. No freebies. No pay-you laters. We are not running a charity here." Caroline said to Elena and Buffy, who sat at the table next to her at the car wash.

"No, we are not." Buffy replied, fiddling with her ring.

"Hi." Stefan interrupted them.

"Hey." Elena said as she stood up.

"The event is called Sexy Suds, you know?" Caroline spoke to them, before grabbing Buffy and walking away.

"I promised Bon, I would help clean cars." Buffy said.

"Oh okay. Have fun doing that." Caroline said with disgust, happy that she didn't need to do that herself.

"Just to be clear, you' car's a POS. I mean, we can wash it, but it's still a POS." A girl Buffy didn't knew the name from spoke to a guy who had brought his car in for the carwash.

"You don't have to be rude." Buffy heard Bonnie say, glaring at the girl.

"No, rude is uglying up the road with that junker." The girl responded and you could see that the guy from who the car was, was clearly starting to feel embarrassing since so many people were looking at them since the girl had to make such a scene.

"I'm sorry for that." Buffy apologized to the guy. He gave her a nod, telling her that he appreciated that, before walking away from the crowd.

"Wow, wow, wow, what are you doing? I swear to God, people just keep dragging me everywhere. It's assault." Buffy spoke up as her cousin came over to her.

"Shhs." Elena shushed her, dragging her to Jenna.

"Mom, your car was done an hour ago." Buffy said, as she still saw her mom sitting in front of the news car.

"You are saying that out loud, why?"

"That's why." Buffy muttered as Logan appeared.

"Hi, Buffy, right? And Elena? I think I met you two once when you were nine." Logan spoke.

"Your emotional maturity level when we were together." Jenna joked.

"Ouch, here I though we were making progress."

"Is he enough in your good graces that we can ask him for a favor?" Elena asked Jenna.

Firstly :why? 

Secondly: WHY DO I ALWAYS GET DRAGGED WITH INTO PEOPLES PROBLEMS. 

Thirdly: I need vacation.

"If I do them a favor, will I get back in your good graces?"

"A very reluctant 'maybe' to both."

"Done." Logan said. "Wait. One condition: dinner, tonight, your house."

"Fine, but you're eating leftovers." Jenna smiled at him.

Logan smiled back at Jenna before turning to Elena and Buffy. "What do you need?"

"Do you have access to old news stories, say, '50s?"

"Yes, at the station. Between the archives and the internet, we pretty much have everything." Logan answered.

"We have this report, way past due. You'd be a lifesaver."

What report? Wait I'm confused, why the '50s.

OH SHIT. SHE KNOWS. He really isn't good at keeping secrets, Jezus. He's been here for what, three weeks and two people (probably) already figured it out. Dumbass.

"I'm heading there now. Let's go."

"If anyone asks you don't know where we went. I don't want Caroline to know we left." Elena spoke to Jenna, before dragging Buffy with her, following Logan.

"Bye mom." Buffy yelled as she accepted her fate.

"We digitized all our archives last year. You can pull all the remote footage right up on-screen. What is it exactly you're looking for?" Logan asked as he let the two girls into the archive.

"An incident from 1953, if it even happened at the old Salvatore boarding house." Elena answered sitting down on the chair as Logan got a call.

Oh yeah she definitely knows.

"Sorry, one second." He said as he picked it up. "Yeah? Fire? All right. I'll be right there." He put his phone away and looked back at the two girls.

"I gotta go. You believe there's actual news to cover in this town?" Elena chuckled. "Use keywords to search the database. It's pretty easy to navigate. Brady, down in Tech, will help you two out, anything you need." He said pointing towards the man sitting on the desk, Buffy saw through the glass.

"Oh and Buffy," Logan turned back. "put in a good word for me with your mother, okay?"

"Will do." She answered, smiling at him. He looked at her thankfully before leaving. "Good thing, I have short-term memory all of the sudden, weird isn't it?"

Elena laughed at her before starting to type on her computer.

Should I tell her? No, she ain't gonna believe me if I told her anyway.

Joseph Salvatore + animal attack

"This is Franklin Fell reporting to you from the Salvatore boarding house where a brutal animal attack has ended in tragedy." Franklin Fell spoke as he appeared on the screen.

WAIT is Zach also a vampire? 

Because he hasn't aged a day. 

What moisturizer is he using dude?

"They're bringing out the body. See if you can get closer." The two watched as a body was carried out of the house on a stretcher.

"Is that the nephew?" As the camera turned to Stefan, Elena paused.
