Buffy Sommers had a love-hate relationship with school, especially the first day. She enjoyed seeing her friends, the fresh start, and the excitement of new possibilities. But the return of early mornings, long classes, and the pressure to keep up with assignments always weighed on her. While she liked the social side, the academic demands often felt overwhelming.Β
She loathed waking up early more than anything in life - except for her history teacher, Mr. Tanner, of course -. Buffy always slept through her alarms in the morning. If it wasn't for her sister, Elena, storming into her room every morning, telling her if she didn't stand up soon, she would be late for classes.
Today, on the first day of school, Buffy had once again overslept. It wasn't a huge surpriseβshe had a habit of staying up too late the night before, either worrying about the new year or simply trying to squeeze in a few more hours of summer freedom. The morning had been a blur of frantic movement.Β
Her alarm had gone off, but she'd hit snooze one too many times, thinking she had a few more precious minutes of sleep. Before she knew it, the sunlight was streaming through her curtains onto her bed, and she realized with a jolt that she would be late if she didn't get out of her bed soon.
Rushing out of bed, she scrambled to find something to wear. The carefully planned outfit she had laid out the night before felt pointless now, so she opened her closet again, picking out another outfit and quickly putting it on before doing her make up as fast as she could. She checked in her mirror for a minute that everything was alright before dashing downstairs.
One thing that Buffy Sommers loved was her morning coffee. The girl couldn't function without it. She would practically be a disaster the entire day long if she hadn't drank her morning coffee.
"Toast. I make toast," Buffy heard her mom say from beside the fridge, her voice slightly rushed. Buffy, standing by the counter as she waited for her coffee to brew, glanced over at her mom with a raised eyebrow. It was pretty obvious her mom was running late tooβsomething that happen too often with her. Her usually perfectly styled hair was still messy.
Buffy shook her head, smiling softly as she turned back to her coffee. "You're running late as well, huh?" Buffy asked, turning her attention back to her almost ready coffee in the pot.Β
Her mom glanced up, smiling sheepishly. "Yeah, not my best morning. It's a miracle I'm making it out of the house at all. I had planned to leave the house five minutes ago." she replied, rummaging through the fridge with one hand while clumsily trying to juggle the toaster with the other.
Buffy chuckled, shaking her head as she poured her coffee into a cup. "Maybe we should just accept today's a lost cause and go back to bed. Sounds like a good plan to me."
"Nuh-uh, you're going to school, sweetheart," Jenna said firmly, standing by the kitchen counter with her arms crossed, giving Buffy that familiar, no-nonsense look.
Buffy groaned, sinking into a chair, coffee cup in hand. "Come on, mom, just one day off wouldn't kill me. It's the first dayβnothing important ever happens."
Jenna raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed with Buffy's tries to get out of going to school. "Nice try, but you know how this works. You show up, pretend to care, and then you can complain about it when you get home. But skipping? Not an option."
Buffy rolled her eyes, but a smile tugged at her lips. "Fine, but if the world ends today, I'm blaming you."
Jenna smirked, uncrossing her arms and walking over to give Buffy a playful nudge on the shoulder.Β
"Toast?" Her mom asked when Elena also came walking in the kitchen.
"It's all about the coffee, Jenna." Elena answered, she was followed by Jeremy, who was not in a rush to get to school at all.
"Is there coffee?" The youngest Gilbert asked, having heard his sister's words about coffee.
"Oh, no, I totally didn't just make a full pot of coffee," Buffy replied with mock innocence, raising her cup to her lips as she took a sip, her eyes sparkling with sarcasm.
"Thanks," Jeremy mumbled quickly, already pouring himself a cup before she could say anything else.
"Your first day of school, and I'm totally unprepared. Lunch money?" Jenna asked, her voice slightly panicked as she rummaged through her bag, pulling out random receipts and loose papers.
Elena shook her head while politely declining her aunt's offer. "I'm okay."
Buffy and Jeremy on the other hand took the money that Jenna offered them as soon as she found it.
"Thanks mom." She gave her mom a smile.
"Anything else? A Number 2 pencil? What am I missing?" Jenna went on.
"Don't you have a big presentation today?" Elena asked.
"I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at-" Jenna checked her watch, mentally cursing herself when she saw how late it really was. "-now. Crap." Jenna quickly walked over to the small mirror hanging against the wall in the hallway.
"Then go. We'll be fine." Elena said and Buffy's mom nodded. She gave her daughter a kiss on the head and walked, well ran, towards the front door.
"Good luck, mom!" Buffy yelled after her while taking a sip of her coffee.
Jenna waved over her shoulder, already halfway out the door, keys in hand. "Thank you! I'm gonna need it!" Her motherhe called back, her words muffled as she rushed to get to outside.
"You okay?" Elena asked Jeremy, seeing his look that was set on a picture of their parents. He had looked away as soon as she had seen him looking.
He just scoffed at her. "Don't start." And he walked away so she turned to Buffy.Β
"Do you have a ride?" She asked her sister, who nodded with a small smile.
"Yes, Care is picking me up," Buffy confirmed, grabbing her bag that she had dropped to the ground when she came rushing in and slinged it over her shoulder. She looked over at Elena. "You're riding with Bonnie, right?"
"Yeah, she texted me earlier." Elena replied at the same moment Bonnie's car came up on the driveway, honking two times to let Elena know she was here to pick her up. "See you at school, B." The Gilbert quickly walked out of the kitchen, following her aunt's path to the front door into Bonnie's car.
A few minutes later Buffy heard another car stopping by the house so went towards the door as well. Just when she opened the door, she turned to Jeremy, who was sitting on the couch. "Are you sure you don't need a ride? It's not a problem you know that. You can come with me and Caroline?"
"No I'm fine, I'll see you at school, B." Jeremy spoke, shaking his head.
"Okay, bye Jere."
As soon as Buffy opened the door, Caroline rushed toward her, throwing her arms around her in a tight embrace. "Are you sure you're going to be okay?"
"Yes, Care, I'm fine. Let's just go to school," Buffy replied, returning the hug briefly before they made their way to the car. She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the feeling that something was going to go wrong. "I'm just going to start over, be happy, and by the way, I think I'll start cheerleading again." Buffy spoke as Caroline had started the car.
Caroline nearly swerved the car at that. "Oh my God, yes! Finally! This is amazing! We have lots of new routines, but you'll catch up so fast since you're like the best cheerleader I have ever seen! It's going to be just like it always was."
Buffy felt a pang in her chest at the thought. It wouldn't be like it always was. It could never be the same again.Β
No, she couldn't think like that. She was determined to be happy and recreate some of the normalcy they had lost.
"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Caroline waved a hand in front of Buffy's face, pulling her from her thoughts.
"Sorry, Care, I was thinking. What were you saying?" Buffy quickly apologized.
"James. He's going to be at school today, you know that, right?" Caroline's eyes sparkled with excitement.
James was Buffy's boyfriend, someone she'd liked since childhood. They'd started dating when Buffy turned fifteen, and in just two months, it would be their two-year anniversary. The thought made her heart flutter, but also filled her with a sense of dread. They hadn't been in much contact lately, and she wanted to fix that. Breaking up with him was unimaginable for her.
"I know. I just haven't seen him in a while. He was visiting Sophie and Jane-Anne this summer in New-Orleans."
Caroline glanced at her, a knowing look in her eyes. "When you weren't at school, he was always following me, asking how you were. He's been worried about you." Caroline smiled, clearly happy for her best friend.
βββ ββ ββ β ββ
Ten minutes later, Buffy and Caroline arrived at school, walking inside side by side and headed straight for their lockers, which were conveniently next to each other. They totally had not begged the headmistress of the school for it. As Buffy organized her new books in her locker, Caroline nudged her with an elbow, prompting Buffy to turn and see Elena and Bonnie approaching their own lockers on the other side of the hallway, but still pretty close to the blondes' lockers.
Just as Buffy closed her locker, Elena rushed over, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her toward the boys' restroom.
"Lena, I don't think we're supposed to be in here," Buffy said, giving a guy exiting the bathroom an apologetic smile.
"Next down, chicks," he replied with a smirk as he walked past them, giving them both weird looks.
"I want to be here just as less as you want us to." Buffy told him, glaring back at him.
Elena grabbed Jeremy's face and Buffy knew what she was doing. She was checking for drugs. "Great. It's first day of school, and you're stoned."
"No, I'm not." Jeremy denied.
"Where is it? Is it on you?" She asked while going through his bag.
"Stop. Chill yourself, all right?" Jeremy said, pulling his bag out of her hands.
"Chill myself? What is that, stoner talk?" She scoffed. "Dude, you are so cool."
"Look, stop. I don't have anything on me. Are you crazy?" He replied, frustration and anger creeping into his voice.
"You haven't seen crazy, Jeremy. I gave you a summer pass. But I am done watching you destroy yourself."
He stood up, but Elena pushed him back. "No, you know what? Go ahead, keep it up. But just know that I am going to be there to ruin your buzz every time. Got it?"
A toilet flushed and Buffy gave the guy who walked out an awkward smile.
I get that she is worried.
I am too.
But Lena, the boys bathroom?
Seriously?
It smells disgusting in here.
"Jeremy, I know who you are, and it's not this person. So don't be this person."Β Elena continued, her tone serious.
"I don't need this." He muttered before walking out. Buffy followed out behind him but didn't chase after him, knowing he was annoyed with Elena and would probably work his own annoyance off on someone else.
When she returned to her locker, she found Caroline chatting with someone. "Hey, everything alright?" she asked.
Buffy nodded. "Yeah, just Elena lecturing Jeremy about drugs."
Suddenly, two arms wrapped around her waist. "Missed me?"
She turned around and kissed him. "Of course I did, Jamie. How were you're sisters?"
"Boring. Like always." James answered, making Buffy laugh.
"Cuties!" Buffy heard CarolineΒ

After school, Caroline, Bonnie, and Buffy decided to head over to the Mystic Grill to unwind after a long day. The familiar atmosphere of the Grill was comforting after the chaos of the first day. Caroline, as usual, was in full gossip mode, excitedly recounting her latest crush that was the new guy, Stefan Salvatore.
"His name is Stefan Salvatore," Caroline began, her eyes gleaming with excitement from thinking about the new student at Mystic Falls High. "He lives with his uncle at the old Salvatore boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they moved around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue." She finished her speech with a wide smile, clearly pleased with herself for gathering so much information in just a day.
Buffy, sipping her soda, raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "How do you even get all that info in just one day, Care?"
Caroline flashed a playful grin. "Please, I got all that between third and fourth period. We're already planning a June wedding."
Buffy laughed, shaking her head. "Of course. You've got it all figured out. You should become and FBI agent."
"Naturally," Caroline said, with mock seriousness. "And you're maid of honor, B." she added, grabbing Buffy's hand excitedly as they walked over to where Tyler was lounging near the bar. Buffy quickly looked over her shoulder, waving to Bonnie as a 'bye' and Bonnie waved them both off with a small smile as she headed over to join Matt at a nearby table.
"Hey, Tyler." Caroline greeted, her voice bright.
"Caroline. Hey, Buffy," Tyler added, giving Caroline a small nod and Buffy a small smile as well.
"So, are you going to the bonfire tomorrow?" Caroline asked, flipping her hair over her shoulder.
"Yeah, I'll be there," Tyler replied casually, clearly not as enthusiastic as Caroline about the bonfire that was happening in town.
Suddenly, Caroline nudged Buffy sharply in the arm, nodding toward the entrance. Buffy turned, her gaze following Caroline's eyes. And there, walking into the Grill, was Elenaβwith Stefan. And by the way Caroline was eyeing him, Buffy, who had not yet seen Stefan, assumed that that was Stefan Salvatore.
They weren't the only ones who noticed the new couple, either. Matt and Bonnie were also watching from their table. Buffy glanced over at Matt, who looked slightly downcast. Poor guy. However, Buffy didn't blame Elena for breaking up with him, but Matt had been holding on way too tightly. He was always a little too pushy, a little too clingy.
Buffy exchanged a look with Caroline, then, taking a deep breath, decided to make the first move over to the two. "Sis!" Buffy called out as she walked over, wrapping Elena in a hug.
"Hey, Buf," Elena greeted warmly, squeezing her sister back.
After they pulled apart, Buffy turned to Stefan, extending a hand. "Buffy."
"Stefan." He replied, shaking her hand with a polite nod.
Bonnie, ever the welcoming one, stepped forward. "Do you two wanna join us? We were just about to get a table."
Stefan and Elena exchanged a quick glance before nodding. "Sure," Elena agreed with a smile. The group quickly found a large booth, and they all slid into their seats. Buffy ended up between Caroline and Elena, while Stefan sat next to Elena, and Bonnie,Β who sat in between Caroline and Stefan.
As soon as they were settled, Caroline wasted no time, jumping right into her typical interrogation mode. "So, you were born in Mystic Falls?" she asked Stefan, her curiosity thinly veiled.
Stefan nodded, offering her polite smile. "Yeah, I moved away when I was still pretty young."
"Parents?" Bonnie chimed in, her tone gentle but curious.
"My parents passed away," Stefan said quietly, his voice tinged with sadness.
Elena immediately softened, her expression full of sympathy. "I'm so sorry. Any siblings?" she asked, her voice tender, knowing what it felt like to lose your parents and all the grieving and pain that came with it. It was never a thing she liked to talk about.
Stefan hesitated for just a moment before replying. "None that I really talk to. I live with my uncle."
Buffy noticed Caroline's face change slightly. She had been so excited to learn more about Stefan and everything to do around him, but now it was clear that his attention was shifting toward her sister. Caroline's disappointment was subtle, but Buffy could see right through it.
"So, Stefan," Caroline began, steering the conversation in a new direction, "if you're new, you probably haven't heard about the big party tomorrow."
"It's a back-to-school thing at the falls," Bonnie added helpfully, her voice lifting the mood just a little.
"Really everyone is going." Buffy spoke as well and Stefan turned his gaze to Elena.
"Are you going?" He asked, hoping that her answer would be yes so that they could get to know each other a bit better.
"Of course she is!" Bonnie said with a smile, jumping in before Elena could respond.
Elena grinned back, nodding. "Yeah, I'll be there."
Buffy, sensing Caroline's growing discomfort, subtly grabbed her best friend's hand under the table, squeezing it gently. Caroline shot her a grateful smile, but the look in her eyes was clearβshe was tired of guys picking Elena over her. It had always been the one thing about Elena that frustrated Caroline, even though it wasn't really Elena's fault. But still, the sting was there.

The next day, the group found themselves in history class again. Mr. Tanner, as usual, was lecturing with a sharp tone, his voice cutting through the quiet classroom like a knife. "The Battle of Willow Creek took place at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted from this battle? Miss Bennett?" he asked, his voice cold as he focused on Bonnie.
Bonnie sat up straight, her mind racing for the right answer, knowing that if she didn't get it right, she was gonna be Tanner's next victim to torment for an entire year. She could feel everyone's eyes on her, waiting. "A lot," she said slowly, her voice uncertain. "I'm not sure, but, like, a whole lot." The class erupted into laughter, a few people trying to stifle their giggles, some didn't even try seeing Tanner's face.
Well, at least it was a safe answer.Β
I would've counted it right!
Mr. Tanner, unimpressed, clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Miss Bennett," he said, his tone dripping with annoyance. Buffy, catching the insult, shot Tanner a glare before she discreetly pulled out her phone, her fingers flying across the mobile.
Tanner continued, seemingly oblivious to the quiet exchange. "Mr. Donovan?" he said, turning his attention to Matt. "Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your invented jock stereotype?"
Matt gave Tanner a lazy smile, completely unfazed. "It's okay, Mr. Tanner. I'm cool with it," he replied. Once again, the room filled with soft chuckles as the class relaxed a little. Buffy sent another quick text to Bonnie.
If it makes you feel any better, I would've exactly said the same thing as you. And he's just a boring history teacher. Like who wants to teach that shit?
Bonnie's phone buzzed. She glanced down at the message and smiled gratefully. Buffy winked at her from across the room.
Tanner, clearly irritated by the lack of respect, shifted his focus. "Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most historical events?"
Elena looked down at her textbook but came up blank. "I'm sorry, I don't know." She admitted.
Tanner's expression darkened. "I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break," he said, his voice cutting deep.
Buffy raised an eyebrow, her voice calm but sharp as she started speaking. "Funny how her 'personal excuses' ended with summer break, but your bad attitude seems to be a year-round thing."
The class erupted into laughter, leaving Tanner momentarily speechless, his glare intensifying on Buffy's form who was not even pretending to be interested to see how offended her was.
"The same goes for you, Miss Sommers."
"There were 346 casualties," Stefan said suddenly, his voice calm and assured of his answer. "Unless you're counting the local civilians."
Tanner turned, surprised by the interruption. "That's correct, Mrβ?" he asked, trying to place Stefan's face.
"Salvatore."
Tanner repeated the name, as though it sounded familiar. "Salvatore."
"Yeah, I think we all heard him the first time," Buffy whispered to Bonnie, who grinned in response.
"Any relation to the original settlers here at Mystic Falls?"
Oh no, of course not. They just have the same name, idiot.
"Distant," Stefan answered, keeping his response short.
"Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle."
Stefan didn't hesitate. "Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss," He explained confidently. "The founder's archives are stored in Civil Hall if you want to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner."
The class gasped in unison, the atmosphere suddenly charged with excitement. Buffy didn't even try her best in the slightest to stifle her laughter.
"Good one." She spoke to him. "And you are my new best friend. Let'sΒ humiliate Tanner together, please?"
He smiled at her while nodding.
Later that evening, as promised, the group attended the bonfire. The air was warm, filled with the scent of burning wood and the sound of laughter. Elena, Bonnie, and Buffy stood together, chatting and scanning the crowd. There was no sign of Stefan anywhere.
"Just admit it, Elena." Bonnie spoke.
Elena sighed, giving in. "Okay, so he's a little pretty." She admitted.
Bonnie looked at her, nudging her. "Elena he has that romance-novel stare when he looks at you."
Buffy nodded and went on, in a voice and very slowly. "Stefan looked deep into her eyes, piercing her very soul." Both of the two other girls laughed.
Buffy smirked, leaning in with mock seriousness. "And then he said, 'I don't always brood, but when I do, it's for you.'"
"Oh, stop it." Elena spoke with a laugh when she saw that Bonnie wanted to continue.
"So where is he?" Bonnie asked, as they all looked around them, trying to find the new guy.
"I don't know." Elena answered. "You tell me. You're the psychic one."
Bonnie smiled, slyly. "Right, I forgot. Okay, so give me a sec. Grams says I have to concentrate."
"Wait. You need a crystal ball." Elena said as Buffy looked around them, only to find an empty bottle.Β
"Ta-da," Buffy said, grinning.
Bonnie took the bottle, but as their fingers touched, she froze. Her smile faltered, and her eyes widened, her face going pale.
"What?" Buffy asked, confused by Bonnie's sudden change.
Bonnie quickly pulled her hand back, shaking her head. "That was... weird," she murmured.
"What was?" Elena asked, concern lacing her voice.
"When I touched you," Bonnie said, still looking shaken, "I saw a man."
"What?" Elena asked while Buffy went in a total different direction with her question.
"Was he hot?"
The Sommers girl asked, being deadly serious.
"A man, coffins, blood. I'm drunk. It's the drinking. There's nothing psychic about it." As Elena and Buffy started at her she quickly spoke. "Yeah? Okay, I'm gonna get a refill." And she walked away from them.
"Bonnie?" But the girl just kept walking. Buffy and Elena turned back around and Stefan stood there before them, Elena's eyes went wide.
"Hi." Stefan said.
"And I take this as my cue to leave and find Care. Bye Lena, bye Stefan." Buffy quickly walked away, but as she didn't find Caroline, she sat down next to Jeremy.Β
"Don't tell me you're here to give me a speech like Elena did yesterday," Jeremy mumbled as Buffy sat down next to him.
Buffy shook her head, grinning. "Nope. Couldn't find Caroline, saw you here, thought I'd keep you company," she said, shrugging.
Jeremy sighed. "I just don't get why she always has to do that," he said, his frustration evident.
Buffy placed a hand on his shoulder. "She's your sister, Jeremy. She loves you and just wants you to be safe."
Jeremy rolled his eyes. "You're my sister too, and you're not on my back every five minutes," he pointed out, his voice tinged with annoyance.
Buffy smiled, playfully nudging him. "Hey, I'm not exactly winning 'Big Sister of the Year' either," she teased. She glanced around and spotted Caroline by the drinks. "Look, there's Care. Guess my job here is done," she said with a wink, giving Jeremy a light punch on the arm before standing up.
"Hey, Care," Buffy greeted cheerfully, but her smile faded as soon as she saw the sadness on Caroline's face. "Hey, what's wrong? Whose ass do I need to kick?"
Caroline laughed a little. "Stefan. He said that we were never going to happen."
Buffy frowned, her expression shifting to one of determination. "I can't kick his ass. He's built like a freaking tank," she replied, rolling her eyes. "But I can definitely give him a stern talking-to." Seeing as Caroline looked a bit better from her muttering, Buffy spoke again. "Come on, let's get a drink."

"Somebody help!" Elena screamed, her voice cutting through the party noise like a knife, drawing everyone's attention to her and Jeremy, who was carrying a person in his arms.
Where the hell did they come from? They had shown up literally out of nowhere, like something out of a horror movie.
"Call an ambulance!" Elena shouted, panic evident in her voice.
"Everybody back off!" Tyler yelled, pushing through the crowd as they all moved closer, curiosity mixed with concern.
"Something bit her. She's losing a lot of blood," Elena said, her eyes wide with fear as she knelt beside Vicki, whose face was pale and drenched in sweat. Buffy felt a surge of adrenaline and wanted to rush over, to try and help them, but then she caught a glimpse of Stefan slipping away into the shadows.Β
Weird ass.
βββ ββ

β ββ
"You okay?" Elena asked gently, placing a reassuring hand on Jeremy's shoulder, but he shrugged it off, clearly too shaken to accept comfort right now.
"I called Mom. She's on her way," Buffy chimed in, slipping her phone back into her pocket. Jeremy and Elena nodded, the tension in the air heavy as Jeremy seemed grateful not to be dealing with Elena's concern alone.
"Those people in uniforms? Last time I checked, they're the police," Elena said, hoping Jeremy would finally put down his beer bottle
He just drank it up entirely before throwing it on the ground. "Hey." Buffy spoke, picking the bottle up again. "Bunnies could walk over this and get hurt." One thing she hated more than anything, was animal getting hurt. Especially, bunnies and cats or dogs. She just couldn't watch any animal in pain. Except for mosquitoes and spiders. They could fuck off.
She had a bunny when she was younger, aptly named Willow after Willow Rosenberg from her favorite show. Her mom had come up with the name, and it felt fitting. Sadly, the bunny had passed away after a few years due to old age, and she had cried for weeks. The memory still tugged at her heartstrings.
"Sorry," Jeremy muttered, knowing that if he didn't apologize, Buffy would team up with Elena to lecture him, and he wasn't in the mood for that.
"People are gonna stop giving you breaks, Jer. They just don't care anymore," Elena said, her voice steady but empathetic. "They've moved on, but you need to try too. Mom and Dad wouldn't have wanted this."
Jeremy shot back, "I've seen you in the cemetery writing in your diary. Is that supposed to be you moving on?"
Elena smiled softly at Jeremy for a fleeting moment, but Buffy felt a wave of awkwardness wash over her as she stood there, not wanting to interrupt but unsure of how to lighten the mood. If she moved, she might step on a branch and make an embarrassing noise to make the attention go over to her and she did not want that at all. So she remained as still as possible, hoping to blend into the background and not look like some awkward extra from a bad teen drama.
Just then, Jenna approached, concern on on her face. "Hey guys. Hey, hon," Jeremy, looking defeated, stood up and climbed into the backseat of Jenna's car, Elena following him.
Jenna turned to Buffy, her brow furrowed in confusion. "What happened?"
Buffy glanced over her mom's shoulder, back to where Vicki lay before. "I don't really know. I was dancing with Care, and suddenly Jeremy came charging out of the woods carrying Vicki, who had bite marks on her neck. An officer said it was an animal attack."
"Or a vampire," Jenna joked lightly, trying to inject some humor into the grim situation.
"Oh, yes! And then I get to live out my Buffy the Vampire Slayer role. Awesome. It sucks for Vicki, of course, but can you imagine if they're real? I could wear some of those badass outfits and start kicking some vampire ass," Buffy mused, her eyes lighting up with excitement at the thought.Β
Where could you even buy clothes like that?
"Oh, get in the car. You have to much imagination, Buf." Jenna spoke, gently pushing her daughter towards her car.
"Yes, I know but you love it. And it would be super cool if I could become Buffy 2.0., don't you think. Just the bad vampires, not the good." She spoke, while stepping in the car, making Jeremy and Elena look confused at her words, but they shrugged it off. The Buffy they knew was always mixing reality with some movie or show she had watched, and it was just another day in Mystic Falls.
