━━ Antares and Coventina finds solace in each other's company amid the serenity of the moonlit night. As they gazed upon the full moon's ethereal glow, Antares found himself entranced by Coventina's striking beauty and grace. He felt drawn towards her and longed to be close to her, like two halves joining together.
His fingers gently caresse her hair, relishing the softness and texture of her locks. He looked into Coventina's eyes and felt a sense of connection that was beyond words.
The beauty of the night and the allure of Coventina's presence left him feeling both giddy and at peace.
Antares and Coventina remains in each other's arms, lost in the moment, as the moon's radiant glow danced across their faces. It was as if time had stopped, and they were the only two people in existence. They basked in the warmth of their shared company, both grateful for this special moment they were able to share together.
As the starseeker enjoyes their moment
of peace, obviously unaware of the small chaos in the hall with Achilles Laskos sitting quietly, a dark and deadly aura around him. His grey eyes glaring like a dagger at
Aurelius Rosier, Alastor Prince and weirdly at Altair Prince the empty seat of Antares Black.
James wonderes if look could kill. Those three musketeers would surely be rooting in the worst place on earth which would probably be the underworld but Achilles
would never allow three thieves to keep
their ungrateful and selfish souls. He will
sell himself to the devils if it mean keeping
all of his children as babies. He had tried.
Sirius watches and listens to his wife's words as she was worried for her only
son. He will not deny that his eyes would
usually drift to his sweet brother, Regulus.
He tries to bury those negatives emotions
that drowned him to his deepest fear. He was a failure, as a brother, as a cousin, as
a son and as a father. He just want to be free from the burden and pain he was put through.
Remine brushed her finger against Sirius's knuckles. She looked up to him, seeing the longing in his eyes. "You should go and talk to him." Sirius turned to look at her. "I don't
think that Antares would prefers my sweet company over our little prongslette's." He teases, misunderstanding her words. "Pad, I was talking about Regulus. Your brother, Regulus Arcturus, not Antares Regulus." His eyes widens.
"Are you out of your mind, moony? I am sure that he will hate having me near him,
and he already have his friends." A deep sigh slippes through Remina's lips. "You are sure, but it is your mind who is telling you that. For once, Sirius please listen to this one here," she slowly points her finger on his chest right where his heart should be beating. "And not here." She points at his forehead.
Sirius almost tries to make a joke but he saw how serious his moony was and he
did not want to disappointed the one he
want for the rest of his life because he is
not brave enough to face his brother. It
was ironic, a gryffindor that is not brave
enough to face his brother, a slytherin that was not sly enough to learn how to swim.
Sirius loves his brother. His brother who used to look at him like he hung the stars,
his little brother, Regulus who had learned everything about the star named Sirius,
the brightest star. Why? Because his older brother was too lazy to open a book about the star he was named after. His brother with curly black hair, he remembered running his fingers through it to sooth his little brother's pain from their mother's harsh beating after failing a dark spells.
Sirius was responsible of Regulus. At least thats what he thought as the older brother, it was his work to protect the younger. But he grew tired of being hurt and never love.
He watched his mother taking care of his little brother while he was forced to do the elf shores. In his mind, his mother only love Regulus, he was perfect. Sirius was not.
Until he left the place he used to call home or mostly a hell hole. He went to his aunt and best friend. To Dorea Potter nee Black and James Potter. He learned that love was not earn. He was feeling love by them, felt protect. When he was getting insults by his
cousin, Bellatrix. James stood up for him, James became someone he was not for him.
Sirius felt happy for once in his life but he wished to share it with his brother. But the answer his receive was not a positive one. Regulus probably think of him as a blood traitor, as a failure. Sirius genuinely never thought that his mother would reverse her anger on Regulus. After all she love him. She had to love Regulus because he was better than Sirius. He was the perfect son.
"I─I," He takes a deep breath and looked up to Remina. "I will. I promise to you, that I will talk to Regulus." Remina smiles and kissed his cheek as a way of showing that she is proud of him. Sirius beams with
a bright smile. Remina knows that Sirius was being just like what he was name after. The brightest star, his smile was everything.
While those two were being lovely dovey, James was staring at Achilles whose aura was scaring many young and old students.
James ran his hand through his hair. "Love,
you are scaring children." He tells him.
"Our children?" Demandez Achilles, yet he had not stopped glaring at the three thieves
as two of them who were present was too close to his children. "No." James repliez a little confuse. "Then, I will continue." James facepalmes. He turns to look at Emrys, "I
tried." He mouths to his eldest son.
Thanatos who have had enough of drama decided to step in and light up the screen. It showed the ball where Achilles revealed himself and was being dramatic. "We will continue without the two brats for this."
Everyone takes a deep breath and looks at the screen in enticipation. Some sighs, as they wish to watch something to not feel bored.
Coventina turned to look at Emrys who was dancing with Aurelius much to their father's pleasure. She was sure that their father was going to neither drown the boy to death or probably sent him to Azakaban. She hoped he had planned on doing the same with the boy with ocean blue eyes.
James finds himself liking how Achilles feels overprotective over their children.
He treated them all the same and thats
remind him as his father, Fleamont. Who too treated his friends like they were his
very own children. He remembers that once his father had asked Marlene if she
wanted to be adopted. A happy memory.
She didn't like how close he was getting to her sister. They recently met. Should not he be talking to other boys instead
of annoying her? Aelora was clearly not please to being near him!
"I am sure that you were smiling happily with me, though, my sweet." Stated Alastor, his eyes travels to Aelora's who nods with a smile.
She was confuse by Coventina's annoyance.
Aelora was smiling giddily as she eagerly listened to Alastor talking with a widen smiled curled on his lips. Coventina tried to force herself to believe that her older sister was just being polite with a fake─
smile. Coventina tsked, a glint of hatred shine in her eyes and she let out a sighed and shook her head.
A frown takes place upon Aelora's face. It was weird to see the younger version of their Coventina behaving like this. Did she dislike Alastor before? Maybe she was just cautious of him. Aelora was sure that it was that.
Anastacius himself finds a sparkle of deep worriness over that describtion. He did say that Coventina and Aelora was alive thanks to his genius ability but Coventina had her part in their survival too and was the one who always protected them physically and mentally.
Did she feel the same with Delphina? He hopes not.
Emrys himself felt a tug on his heart. That night, how come he did not notice her lack of light? Coventina was like water and air. Strong, unpredictable, dangerous but also quiet, and had a lack of presence.
She watched others danced with a bright smile while Dumbledore was trying to hide his anger. In another side, Lucius was surely being annoyed by her father while Draco was enjoying talking to Delphina, Anastacius and the jewel eyes boy. She felt like an intrude in the middle
of all of those people. She was different.
"Its not bad to be different." Narcissa soo. mumbles quietly, fidging with her fingers.
She used to feel the same with her family. After all, Andromeda was brave enough
to defy their mother, Bellatrix was crazy enough to live their idea and Sirius was stunborn enough to run away and stayed
in Gryffindor. And even Regulus betrayed the Dark Lord.
While she obeyed every words her mother told her. She becane what her mother want,
not what she wanted but she still find in it to love herself thanks to Lucius who may be an egocentric jerk, he was still a sweet and lovely betrothed.
Her thought was broken when she noticed someone who usually caused
chaos was not there. Someone who annoyed her and should have been
pissing her off right now. Where was
Antares?
"Oooh, she is searching for him already."
Teases a girl in Gryffindor who is in her
fourth years.
She mentally rolled her eyes and decided to search for the heir of the noble house of the black. It would be much better than seeing her older siblings getting too close to those people. Her eyes lowered slightly as she made her way out of the manor. She did not like it at all.
Euphemia observes her grandchildren's reaction. By their looks, she knew that
none of them had notice her struggles
and her unspoken dislike about their
friends. Then her eyes soon travels to
heiress Fane, Aerys, who was not even
affect or surprise. Maybe she was the
one to notice Coventina's struggle.
Soon after the cold breeze pass toward her harshly. It was quiet cold outside but it was not what made her gaze hardened.
She was sure that she had never seen more mesmerizing scene tham now. The moon was red. Crimson. Her eyes soon widened, she was staring right back at a crimson moon!
"You are telling me that this thing exist?! I thought it was just in some myths or fairy tails stories!" Exclaims Sirius in all serious
ness.
"Sirius," Narcissa coughs quietly. "We are myths too. Since in the muggle world, they do not believe in lady magic or witches and wizards." Narcissa explains to her cousin a little more slowly to make sure that he was listening to her. She looks satisfy when her cousin had actually listen to her little talk.
"But I have so agree with you. I never expect for it to actually exist." She then
added. "Cousin." She smiled at him.
Remina giggles, seeing Sirius beams at Narcissa's words. At the same moment,
Thanatos decided that the Black needs
to be lock up in a room for them talk about
their traumas. Because they sure as hell
isa house full of it.
Mention a Black who has no trauma.
Coventina's eyes followed the crimson moon as it shone brightly above her. She had never seen such a beautiful sight before. As she gazed at the moon, she
felt a strange sensation wash over her,
as if something deep inside her was awakening.
Aerys looks away from the crimson moon, follows by Draco, Aelora, Anastacius, Emrys
then Aurelius with their knights. None of the next generations dare to face the moon eyes to eyes. While the adults was fascinate by it. The brightness and aura around it was strong enough for the them to feel it.
She couldn't explain it, but she felt drawn to the crimson moon, as if it were calling out to her. She wanted to follow it, to explore the strange and fascinating world that it seemed to represent.
Coventina continued to stare at the crimson moon, mesmerized by its beauty. She had never seen anything like it before, and it seemed to command her full attention.
Achilles who was not interested in the moon find himself disliking the effect
it was having on his daughter and the
fact that the other kids looks anxious
enough to look away was infuriating.
Those sassy and fearless brats were acting like they saw the most dangerous things alive. In Achilles' opinion ─ which no one care enough to ask ─ finds the cerberus of Hades much dangerous than that moon. Yet he knew that he should not underestimate things or people.
As she continued to stare at it, she felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was as if the moon was speaking to her, calling out to her in a language that she couldn't quite understand.
Coventina found herself drawn to the crimson moon. She took a step forward, then another, and before she knew it, she was walking towards the edge of the cliff. As she approached the brink, she felt a sudden sense of dizziness and facination.
James's eyes widens, he quickly snaps of whatever was drawning him in and clench his fist. "Merlin, someone better help her
or else." He looks so worried that Marlene
rubs his shoulder to try rassuring him.
"She better snap out of her daydream thought or she will fall!" Says Pandora,
her eyes wide and bright with worriness.
Anastacius looks on his ring, he plays with it. A way of trying to rassure himself that it was fine. Because Coventina was with them now so she was safe from what they were seeing.
She was.
Suddenly, a hand closed tightly around her wrist, pulling her back from the edge of the cliff. She turned to see that it was Antares, wearing an angry and worried expression on his face.
Sirius let out a deep breath of relief. He
was surprise himself about how long he was able to hold it. He will try again!
Draco raises a brow. His eyes narrows to Aerys's. Both stares at eachother for a while
before smirking as they looks away. Both never dare to look at the crimson moon, not by fear but by respect and but also it was dangerous. They were caurious arouns it not scared.
"Coventina, what were you thinking!?" he asked, his voice firm and serious.
Coventina looked at him in the eyes, her emotions mixed between confusion and longing."I don't know," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just felt drawn to the moon."
Antares looked at the crimson moon with an angry expression. "We should go back inside," he said, taking Coventina's hand and leading her away from the cliff. "No, I wish to stay." Her tone was firm with an edge of command.
"Like father, like daughter." Comments Abraxas, he remembered how Achilles
was much more commanding than anyone in their family. Coventina was like him in every way.
Antares would never go against her wish, so then he narrowed his eyes toward the crimson moon and let go of her hand. Then he ran his hand through his hair, griping on it firmly with an expression, completely different from the calm and compose Black he usually was.
"You were about to fall, ma déesse!" He told her. He watched her ignoring him, facing the crimson moon. It irritated him, one of the reason was because all
of her attention was on a moon when he was right there.
"Is he serious? He is more mad at her giving attention to a crimson moon than being a bit surprise at the sight of crimson moon?!"
Dorcas was sure that if she was not dead in the future, she would have commit suicide.
Why can't the Black and Potter stop their reproduction?
Antares had always been cold and emotion less, only allowing himself
to express some emotion when it was needed and plastered fake smiles to please some mindless people who he could just killed.
Some flinches at the reminder.
Aurelius narrows his eyes to Lily Evan, Molly Weasley and Dumbledore. 'Just
why were they even here?' He asks
himself.
But whenever he saw the crimson moon, he felt something inside of him stir. He despise it and could not tolerate the affect it had on people. The crimson moon infront of him could easily manipulate any person on earth.
For them to say their desires and to fool them in an endless dream. Yet, no one in the Wizard world was effect which had corrected Antares' latest suspicion.
"Thats..dangerous." Whispers Arcturus, in his life he had never see one truly. But he was sure that his great grandson had saw it before.
Merlin, who was the one who created this line of family?
Coventina was staring at the moon as if
it had a hold on her, and it made Antares feel frustrated. He knew he should take her back inside, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Instead, he stood there, staring at her instead. The crimson moon reminded of his stupid decision he had made long ago.
"Coventina." His voice came out firmer than nicer. "Fine then." Antares grabbed her arm firmly, throwing her over his shoulder.
"Thats was very ungentleman of him!" Scolds Narcissa. Lucius sweatdrops.
Coventina let out a sharp gasp as she
was lifted over Antares shoulder. She tried to kick and squirm to get free,
but her attempt was futile. She looked back in Antares eyes with a glare.
"You will not touch me, Antares Black. Put. Me. Down." Her tone held an intensity and an air of power that Antares knew too well.
Coventina huff with frustration as Antares ignored her. "Repeat it. In a
nice tone, my love." Coventina rolled
her eyes, had he forget that he was like thirteen?
"Please, I feel like I am watching one of those lovers kdrama, Aelora forced us to
watch." Delphina pouts, fliping her blonde
hair behind her shoulder.
"You are right about this one." Daphne and Blaise agreed with her.
"My dagger under your throat sound much better." Her eyes darkened, she was getting angry. "Put me down!" She hissed, kicking him in the stomatch
and pushed herself off him. Antares chuckled, he allowed her to get off and he watched her.
"Damn, her dress is so cool! She can fight easily in it!" Mary's eyes sparkle. She want one just like hers. Like this she won't
be bothered by those dumbs boys at ball.
'At least she was no longer near the crimson moon. I do not know how much longer I can hold myself back.' He thought to himself. "We are going back."
"Kinky." Smirks Marlene.
"Mar!" James and Sirius looks at her in disbelief. She chuckles and shrugs
Coventina gently passed her hand on her dress, making sure that it did not get any
type of mud or anything dirty on it. She liked her properties clean. "How come I
just saw a crimson moon?" She had to admitted that she was surprised as she
never saw one or had much knowledge about it. "May this stay a secret between us, ma déesse?" Said Antares, he smiled at her.
Coventina shrugged and nodded. "Fine," he prefered to keep her mind of the crimson moon and the effect it had on her. She was just about to fall off a cliff yet she was not afraid. Naturally, death held no feelings of fear in her.
Thanatos let out a sigh, his mind drift off to all those who never fear death. How funny,
Antares fear that he might lose Coventina if she died but Coventina does not care if she died. They were not meant to be but it was Antares Black, The Fate Defier and she was Coventina Potter, the Heiress of Death.
She was unhappy with being carried without permission. She walked past him as she made her way back in the hall. Antares smirked, his eyes holding great adoration at what he saw. He soon made his way to Altair and Alastor, seemly sure that he will not be able to dance with Coventina tonight.
"Aww!"
"I was hoping for a dance."
"Me too!" Murmurs the students.
Altair took a sip of the champagne he was drinking and looked at Antares. "Is she safe?" He demanded firmly. "Calm your tits, brother." Muse the youngest Prince.
"I clearly remember saying something, hm about sexual language, no?" Antares' eyes sharpened, his tone firm and cold. "opps." Alastor turned away from Antares with a pout.
"Maybe I should kill him." Whispers Achilles but one glare from James had
him pouting like a child.
"And about, my darling, she is fine
for the rest of night." He replied, not bothering to informed Altair about the most important and almost suicide action that could have happened.
Antares turned his back from everyone and left. He wished them a good night but he was no longer in the mood of playing the charming prince. He knew that he needed a huge bottle of alcohol.
Minor or not.
"Sirius Orion Black and Alphar Black. Stay. Away. From. My. Son." Remina's eyes turns yellow as she glares at Alphard and Sirius.
The two men sweatdrops. If look could kill, they would be drop dead.
Gorgeously.
The two Princes heard a sweet sound of laugher, it was Delphina and the lovely Aelora's. Anastacius was listening to Draco's nonsense, Remina and Narcissa were catching up with Marlene and the other ladies. Emrys was on the balcony with Aurelius.
So nobody noticed, Coventina standing in the little space, watching her elder siblings laughing and being happy with strangers which they had merely met for a little time, a year or two. Maybe she was being selfish. They had every right to befriend others no? It was natural. Yes, natural. Its normal for them, they look happy.
Achilles did not like the sound of those words. His eyes widens─did he fail as a father? Surely not, he would never let his children get hur─he did. His children did get hurt and he was not there to protect them. He realised that he failed the moment he had been unable stop them from being taken away ftom him.
And he is enrage at that realisation.
She should be too.
No?
Her eyes lowered a little, her pupils shook a little. She felt like a thorn in a rose. The one who caused pain to those who touched it. She felt trapped. She
was trapped. Her breaths quickened more than usually. Her heart was beating so fast and her hands were trembling and she felt like a knot in
her throat. This was not her life. Not hers.
Emrys let out a defeat sigh. A fucking panic attack. His sister was having panic attack and he was out with his Aurelius instead of
being with her. He was so stupid for that mistake. He had vows to protect her the miment she was born but had he protected her from herself?
Aelora tenses, her eyes being teary. She is not the one to cry easily but it make her heart ache knowing that her Venti was hurting without her even noticing it. She is her elder sister and she is not even good at it. She tried to relax as Anastacius rubs her shoulder gently. By the look on Anastacius' face, he was as angry and worried as their father is.
Euphemia kisss James's cheek as she notices the guilty and hurt look in her son's eyes. It was the hardest thung fot a parents. Seeing their children being hurt. And James was a lot like her than he was with Fleamont.
Draco takes a bite in his green apple. He will give Coventina a huge box of chocolate the moment she came back. It will surely higher up her mood. He was her older cousib and he will protect her. Even if it will cost his life in the process. Thats whats family was made for.
What was wrong with her? She felt like she was drowning. Her hand rest over her lips, she couldn't breath. Just what was happening to her? She wondered.
