THE EMPTY GOBLET WAS STILL SMOKING. "Here, Venti!" said Aelora cheerfully. "We got as much as we could carry." A shower of brilliantly colored sweets fell into Coventina's lap with many chocolate bars.
"Why is she so addict to chocolate?" Fleamont let out a sigh.
"Moony." James chuckle.
It was dusk, and Anastacius and Aelora had just turned up in the common room, pink-faced from the cold wind and looking as though they'd had the time of their lives. Though Aelora was pouting.
"Thanks," said Coventina, picking up a packet of tiny black Pepper Imps. "What is Hogsmeade like? Where did you go?" Coventina asks curiously.
"Yeah right, why not tell them that you were sleeping in the arm of Antares, hm?" Delphina smirks.
"I think that you have forgotten who helped you-" Delphina pouts.
"Sorry, Tina." She mumbles.
By the sound of it- everywhere. Dervish and Banges, the wizarding equipment shop, Zonko's Joke Shop, into the Three Broomsticks for foaming mugs of hot butterbeer, and many places besides.
"The post office, Coventina! About two hundred owls, all sitting on shelves, all color-coded depending on how fast you want your letter to get there!" Granger said happily, joining the conversation.
"How great for you." Coventina said in a face gentle voice, it's been a while since those two appeared to be 'friends'.
"You are so much like Achilles," Lucius sighs, he feels like he will have a headache.
"Oh you don't even know- Tina literally paint your peacocks-" Draco covers his ears.
"WHAT?!"
Coventina sweat drops while Achilles smiles proudly.
"Honeydukes has got a new kind of fudge; they were giving out free
samples, there's a bit, look-" "We think we saw an ogre, honestly, they get all sorts at the Three Broomsticks-"
Aelora rolled her eyes, "Venti was asking us, not them." She mutters with an annoyed expression. It's been a while since Anastacius and Coventina saw her like this. "Stupid duo." Aelora scoffed.
"You have two personality don't you?" Daphne asks softly.
"Maybe."
"We'd better go down, you know, the feast'll be starting in five minutes."
They hurried through the portrait hole and into the crowd.
"Anastacius?" Coventina muttered, looking at Anastacius. "Yes?" He replied. "Here." She gave them back their necklace.
as they reached the entrance hall and crossed into the Great Hall. It had been decorated with hundreds and hundreds of candle-filled pumpkins, a cloud of fluttering live bats, and many flaming orange streamers, which were swimming lazily across the stormy ceiling like brilliant watersnakes.
The food was delicious; even Granger and Weasley, who were full to bursting with Honeydukes sweets, managed second helpings of everything. Coventina kept glancing at the staff table.
"I would too." Sirius side eye Snape angrily. "Don't touch my Moony."
Professor Lupin looked cheerful and as well as she ever did; she was talking animatedly to tiny little Professor Flitwick, the Charms teacher. Coventina moved her eyes along the table, to the place where Snape sat. Was she imagining it, or were Snape's eyes flickering toward Remina more often than was natural?
Antares scoffed, "how filthy! Eyes off."
"You said the same thing to Diggory-" Draco let out a sigh, he was so done.
"Hey? Is not Regulus and Cedric kind of alike?" Blaise mutters.
"Funny death or-" Antares smirked. Coventina looks away, and cough, she didn't expect that.
"I meant horrible death, my apology-" Antares snickers.
She felt the stare of someone else and saw Antares glaring at Snape with a hateful look with a sigh. "You are not like you pretend to be, Black." She muttered.
"I could anybody or be who you want me to be." Antares whispers to Coventina.
"Honest, can you be?" Coventina asks him. "At the end of this movie session, I guess."
The feast finished with entertainment provided by the Hogwarts ghosts. They popped out of the walls and tables to do a bit of formation gliding; Nearly Headless Nick, the Gryffindor ghost, had a great success with a reenactment of his own botched beheading.
Coventina, Anastacius, and Aelora followed the rest of the Gryffindors along the usual path to Gryffindor Tower, but when they reached the corridor that ended with the portrait of the Fat Lady, they found it jammed with students.
"Why isn't anyone going in?" said Weasley curiously. Aelora peered over the heads in front of her. The portrait seemed to be closed. "Let me through, please," came Percy's voice, and he came bustling importantly through the crowd. "What's the holdup here? You can't all have forgotten the password- excuse me, I'm Head Boy-"
And then a silence fell over the crowd, from the front first, so that a chill seemed to spread down the corridor. They heard Percy say, in a suddenly sharp voice, "Somebody get Professor Dumbledore. Quick."
People's heads turned; those at the back were standing on tiptoe. "What's going on?" said Ginny, who had just arrived. A moment later, Professor Dumbledore was there, sweeping toward the portrait; the Gryffindors squeezed together to let him through, and the trio moved closer to see what the trouble was.
"What?" Aelora tilted her head.
"Why are you so effortlessly cute?" Lilia squeals.
Draco pouts.
The Fat Lady had vanished from her portrait, which had been slashed so
viciously that strips of canvas littered the floor; great chunks of it had been torn away completely. Dumbledore took one quick look at the ruined painting and turned, his eyes somber, to see Professors McGonagall, Remina and Snape hurrying toward him.
"We need to find her," said Dumbledore. "Professor McGonagall, please go to Mr. Filch at once and tell him to search every painting in the castle for the Fat Lady." "You'll be lucky!" said a cackling voice. It was Peeves the Poltergeist, bobbing over the crowd and looking delighted, as he always did, at the sight of wreckage or worry.
"What do you mean, Peeves?" said Dumbledore calmly, and Peeves's grin
faded a little. He didn't dare taunt Dumbledore. Instead he adopted an
oily voice that was no better than his cackle.
"Ashamed, Your Headship, sit. Doesn't want to be seen. She's a horrible mess. Saw her running through the landscape up on the fourth floor, sir, dodging between the trees. Crying something dreadful," he said happily. "Poor thing," he added unconvincingly.
"Did she say who did it?" said Dumbledore quietly. "Oh yes, Professor head," said Peeves, with the air of one cradling a large bombshell in his arms.
"He got very angry when she wouldn't let him in, you see." Peeves flipped over and grinned at Dumbledore from between his own legs. "Nasty temper he's got, that Sirius Black."
"Poor Sirius who is hiding in Achilles's Manor." James smiles amuse.
"Hmfp! Why I do always get blame? For leaving some bad parents. For running away from that hell house- to like a Gryffindor and being one, that's so fucking unfair."
Sirius said without caring who he hurt and the one who get hurt the most was Regulus.
Alphard lifts up his glass, "To this curse family."
Walburga looks down.
"To this curse family indeed." Narcissa and Andromeda mutters not noticing the annoyance of Bellatrix.
Remina placed her hand over her mouth and walked toward the Slytherin common room followed by Coventina.
"Remi?" Coventina said politely as she catched up. "Ah- cub, what are you doing?" Remina asked her confused.
"Are you okay?" For some reason, a glint of worry flash in Coventina's eyes. "Y-yes, I am going to see Antares-"
Antares smiles.s
"I can go." Coventina interrupted her, "You can rest and I can talk to him if you want." Coventina told her. Remina smiled and lay a kiss on her forehead. "Thank you, you see? I told you, you are a true angel."
Coventina nodded slowly, she watched Remina walked back to the Gryffindor common room then Coventina touched her forehead. "Huh..?" She sighed confuse and stood in front the portrait.
"For Merlin's sake, why made the villainess look so cute!" A Ravenclaw who is into Manhwa mumbles.
"Gah! My heart!"
"Her expression is too cute for her cruelty.
"Pureblood." She entered as soon as the door opened, to her surprised, Antares was sitting on the couch while all other students were going yo the Great Hall.
"Why so easy?"
"Miss me?"
"Not even in my grave." Coventina sigh again but frustratedly this time. "Look, I don't know anything- I came here so that your mother can rest, she looked tired and worried after-"
"After my father decide to came here?" Antares smirked, "I already know that, ma déesse." Slowly making her way to Antares, coventina stood in front of him. "Who are you?" She asked him.
"Antares Regulus Black, your future husband, Slytherin King, Heir of the Black, the cruel prince and the best Black." Antares chuckles amuse.
"Damn you."
"Me?" Antares smiled, "I am Antares Regulus Black, your future husband
and the Slytherin King." Pressing her lips together, Coventina glared at him.
"I mean what are you hiding? You are not as nice and charming like you act
to be." She told him coldly.
"Oh right! You didn't deny it that day!" Antares chuckles.
"Shut up." Coventina sighs.
"And you are not as cold and heartless like you act, Coventina." She couldn't lie but she was surprised when he called her by her name.
"Why does my name sound so good when he says it?" Coventina frowns.
"I have my secrets and you have yours and in the end, both will be spill." He chuckles and stood up, he was taller than her which make Coventina annoyed. It was no big deal right? She was 5'4 and he was 5'9.
"IT IS A BIG DEAL." Coventina's frowns, she was now 5'9 and Antares was 6'5.
It was not fair.
"You don't seem shock about your father?" "Neither do you."
Antares grabbed her wrist gently before dragging her out of the Slytherin common room with a smirk on his face.
"Remember of a character in-"
"In your damn manhwa, we got it." The Ravenclaw's slytherin friend says.
"BLACK!" Coventina said annoyed as she was being dragged like a doll.
"A beautiful doll."
